Dar- Sounds like Alison is starting the teething process!

Well, I'm home today with Hunter so Andrew can go to the funeral, etc. He got home and went to bed around 5'ish so I'm guessing he will be heading right to bed when he gets home. I'm going to do a crock pot chicken for dinner since I won't know what the schedule is.

Oh well, need to make sure that I get 100oz of water in today..normally bad at home when it comes to drinking water. The only other goal is to get this place cleaned up, looks like a tornado hit it....I'll try to clean it up today so that we don't spend the entire weekend doing it!

Vanessa- I hope that everything is okay. We haven't heard from you since your question.

TOM hit me like a Mack truck yesterday. Hubby ended up peeling me out of the recliner and putting me to bed with the heating pad around 9:30 last night...and I don't think I was awake much past 9:45. My back is killing me today So I'm gonna take some ibuprofen and hope for the best....at least it'll be over in a few days and hopefully the doc thinks the BC pills will help. She feels my TOM is so hard on me now because of the complications with my bleeding/uterus at Elana's birth.

Weight is hovering still anywhere between 278 and 280 LOL...go figure. I'm not worried....staying cheat free as we have friends coming over Sunday to celebrate my bday (which is Friday but hubby works) and I have already declared that I will have a slice of cake!!

Have a great day ladies!

Just finished doing 4 loads of laundry, put the dishes away and cleaned the kitchen, whew! I think I do more work on my nights off than I do at work, LOL!

I've decided to add the potato back into my diet for a while and I'll talk to my midwife about potassium supplements when I get my yearly exam in a couple weeks. I'm leary about taking them though, because you really don't get much in the supplement compared to the food and I've heard that too much of the supplement can be very bad. That, and I'm not sure I should be taking supplements like that when I'm nursing. I ate my potato yesterday and sure enough no leg cramps. Oh well.

Baby will be waking up soon! Have a great day!

Ames

Ames- I should have sent you directions to my place!!! I need to be very productive today in the area of cleaning!

::: sigh :::

Well, I have not lost a single pound in the past week. I don't quite know what to do. I think to start, I'll begin using FitDay again. I didn't want to, because I became obsessed with it last time around, but it will help give me an idea of what kind of fat/protein ratio I'm eating. I'll do that for a bit, then evaluate what I'm doing. I looked in my DANDR book this morning about the fat fast as an option.

Here's what I plan on eating today:
B- hb egg
S- 2 oz. cheese
L- 4 oz. deli ham, 2 oz. cheese, celery (maybe with some cream cheese on it)
D- not sure yet, but typically it consists of a meat and salad or green beans
S- sf jello w/ cool whip
And for water, I think I'm probably drinking about 100-120 oz per day, plus a Diet Coke or Diet Cherry Coke with dinner.

Other thoughts I had, I really probably should cut back on the aspartame, but without my Diet Cherry Coke or sf jello.... :sigh: again. I gotta break out the Diet Hansen's sodas we have in the garage... When I got pregnant I couldn't stand the taste of Splenda so I stored all of them out there. I wonder if they are still good!

Anyways, on to better things.. here's the 2 month pics I promised. I'm not really happy with them. The second one is nice, but she was looking at DH, and his shadow is in the picture making it dark.

Michelle, sorry TOM is so horrible! I hope the bc works to help alleviate the pain.

Lauren, those pics are great! What a party!

BBL!

Good Morning Girls~

Melissa~ Great pictures of Hunter; he looks like he has such a personality! Drink that water!

Chelle~ Sorry TOM is giving you such a hard time! Hope you're feeling better soon!

Ames~ Guess you're stuck with that potato? Hope your midwife can help you out & figure out a good balance with the supplements.

Lauren~ Great pictures of Kendall! Looks like she really enjoyed her birthday!

Dar~ I know Chelle has talked about it here, but have you tried the DC with Splenda? I tried it a few weeks ago & it really reminded me of Diet Rite. It must be the Splenda taste, since DR is made with Splenda, too. Those are good pictures of Alison - I really like the second one & wouldn't know there was a shadow if you hadn't have mentioned it, just looks like different lighting (kinda makes it softer, if you kwim.)

Reilly's fussing, I'll BBS.

Yah, Emily, I have some of that in my pantry, actually. Just trying to get rid of the regular first. I think I'll go ahead and put it in the fridge. I hope they make Diet Cherry with Splenda. That's my favorite.

Dar- They only make the regular diet with Splenda right now, but I've read that since it is taking off they are seriously thinking of making all their flavors available with Splenda. I can't wait, I love DC with Lime and DC with Cherry!

Morning Girls!
Same thing here again. Sometimes I wish the crazyness of the weekend would be spread out durring the week, things get pretty boaring here, even with all these kiddos! I ordered my camera yesterday, should be here by the end of the week, maybe early next week. Elliott has his pre-school grad on the 17th, I'm sure I'll have it by then.

Melissa ~ I know what you mean about being bad with h2o at home. It doesn't make any sense to me since I'd rather pee here then at work. Oh well chug-a-lug I'll be cleaning right along with you, although I'm not sure why I bother when there's kids here

Chelle ~ Sorry about TOM, maybe when it's gone it take a big Whosh with it, mine did! I case I forget later , what kind of cake are you going to have?

Ames ~ I know what you mean about working more at home then when you're at work Enjoy that potato, I had a baked potato almost evryday when I was preg, some days when I was sick it was the only thing I would have. I have a huge sweet tooth, but right now I would give my left boob for a nice hot baker with sour cream

Lauren ~ What a cutie you have there, there's nothing like that 1st birthday cake pic! When Elliott had his he dove right in, he didn't come up for air till he licked off all the frosting

Dar ~ Those pics are really nice, maybe I won't bother with Sears this weekend I'll just send the boys to you. What is the fat fast? I've been considering the M/E thing for awhile, but not sur i can give up my cheese, or my beer after work

Emily ~ Hope all is well with you and your gang, talk to ya later

Vanessa ~ If your out there, hope your feeling better, and things are going well with you. Let us know when you get a chance, we're all thinking of you

I have a huge basket of socks calling my name I'll be around!

OMG, for some reason this has me cracking up! (probably because I can relate!) When I was pregnant with Mackenzie I could not get enough potatoes - I literally had them almost every meal. Funny thing is, the child can not stand potatoes, not even the Gerber ones when she was a baby!

Well, my computer is pretty much back up & running. DH ended up buying a 3.5" USB drive so that he could load XP back on it. (But, boy did I have to hear about it since I didn't buy one with the computer. )

Only thing now is that I can't get the silly thing to recognize my camera. I consider myself pretty computer savvy, but the "hardware" issues just stump me.

BB in a minute, baby's asleep on my shoulder.

I have the same problem with XP. It will suddenly no longer recognize our camera or scanner. And I hate that if Rob installs something while logged in under his name, it has to be installed again if I log in? Makes no sense.

I think it's something Bill Gates did to XP just to mess with us! (j/k)

I really don't want to install the Fuji software, I'm used to downloading the photos through XP, I just can't figure out how to make the little photo wizard pop up when I plug in the camera. Guess I'll ask DH when he comes home for lunch & make him feel just a bit more superior to me for his computer-knowledge.

Chelle- Sorry bout TOM being so bad! I'm worried about how mine is gonna be!! Great pics of Elana yesterday!!

Melissa-Great pics of Hunter!! Hope you get everything done today that you need to. I have alot of catch up stuff to do too since I've been since and just basically laying around!

Lauren-Great pics!!! We miss you when you are gone!! You look awesome in your pics...you're so pretty!

Emily-Glad your computer is back up and running!!

Liz-I'm sure you camera will make it on time. Which one did you end up getting??

Dar-Oh, hon, sorry no weightloss. I have to do it different this BFL eating works better for me, even though I like the "fat" that Atkins has. I'm gonna start another 12 week challenge at the end of next week! Great pics of Alison!!

Colleen-Your daughter is sooooooooo cute!!

I have another ear infection, that is why I needed antibiotics. They were concerned about when I told them I had been constipated and such, but felt and everything felt normal. I had ear infections alot when I was a kid and am wondering if I didn't when I was a baby also because my mom said I was a "fussy" baby. They never had very much extra money so they just always took us to the public health nurse to get our shots...anyway, now that I have allergies (never had them before I had kids) it seems that when my sinus drains down the back of my throat and when I sleep it can go into your ears. I don't know, maybe I'm gonna need to go to an ear, nose, and throat doctor...or get a perscription for allergy medicine...I've just been using Clariton!

Oh, one thing I'm proud to say is I have been off of soda (diet of course) for 3 days now! I didn't even do it on purpose, I just realized yesterday! I had a horrible headache yesterday and wondered why, and I'm sure it was due to not having any caffine for 3 days!! I've never went that long without soda!!

Thanks, I wonder if low calorie LC would be better for me. Problem is, I don't know how to go about that! I went back to my FitDay entries from last year to see what I was eating. I was averaging about 1500 cals/day. I need to lower that somehow and not starve myself at the same time. Going to do more digging...

I'm glad you are starting to feel better!

Dar-You are eating 1500 cals a day and still not losing?? That is pretty low, but alot of women need to only have 12-1300 a day. One of the easiest ways to lower calories is to lower fat intake...so maybe just more portion control?? Do you measure exactly how much dressing you put on your salad and such things?? Just trying to give you some suggestions. I don't know if anyone here knows how but there is a mathematical way to see how many calories you need to just maintain your weight. If you eat like 3500 less than that (in a week) you will loose a lb. a week. Or something like that! Lots of women on the BFL board are alot of help. Maybe they could help you!!
