LOSIN' THE BABY FAT- WEEKEND 6/4-6/5

Hey Everyone!

Figured since I was up, I'd just start it. Hunter is having one of his midnight scream fests. Wish I could figure them out, this is the first in almost a week (last Saturday night, Andrew got up with him luckily because he was home). Hopefully we will be back in bed by the time Andrew gets home at 4:30am!

OH....goal this weekend is to clean out Elana's closet/dresser due to some clothes she received in the mail this week to accomodate her growth Hubby and I decided we'd return the same favor and instead of selling them on EBay, offer them to anyone here who'd be interested or need them. I'll list what I have on Monday...or PM me if you need girls clothes 3-6 months. There's probably even outfits she's never worn as she had way too many of this size and none of anything bigger LOL.

Hope Elana and Hunter both decide that it is time to go to bed soon. Right now I have Hunter watching a Baby Einstein DVD.

WOE: eating for two!
Start Date: 03.11.02
Morning ladies.. I got to sleep in today as Jason took Eli out for a long jog/walk. I just had 4 pieces of bacon... I AM starting to eat clean today!! I seriously need to get these last 10-15 pounds off (I'm up about 5). I really want to be at goal when I get preggo again. It's beautiful outside today.. we'll maybe go for a hike or something fun! NO PLANS!!!

Melissa... Uggh.. that's rough. Eli woke up last night around midnight, too.. but we just "plugged" him and after a minute or two he was asleep again. I know people have said the walking theory (his brain is so occupied with learning to walk...). I really hope it's just that, and he'll start cruisin' soon! Eli just started really walking around yesterday! Jason brought him to visit my work last night and he was cruising all over the place.. turning around.. bending over to pick stuff up!! It's crazy because just 2 days ago, all he'd do was take a few steps, and you had to coax him!

Chelle... Man, a rough night for you too. It is weird that there are so many of us on here who work opposite shifts as DH's and never get to see them. But I tell ya, it sure beats having to pay for daycare! How nice of you to offer Elana's baby clothes!

Sarah... Have a great free day!! I'm going to start low-carb again since I just wasn't sticking to plan well on BFL. I guess I'm the really strict or nothing kinda gal. My free day always turned into a free weekend! How is Mason's job going?

Ok.. gotta get dressed, then have some quality family time!

Morning!

Chelle & Melissa ~ Sorry you guys had such LONG nights! Hope you get some rest today!

Sarah ~ Have you decided what you'll have at the BBQ yet? I'd love corn on the cobb rom the grill

Dawn ~ Sounds like your going to have a nice relaxing weekend, you desrve it after having company all week!

Well like every friday yesterday was crazy. The boys and I went to work in the morning, then my dad came hobeling in using a golf club for a cain. When I asked him what happened he said he crashed his motercycle. I thought he was just kidding-but I was wrong. I'll spare you all the details, but it was the car in front of him that caused the accident, dad knew he had 2 choices hit the car in front of him, and go flying off the bike and be killed, or lay the bike down, and hope for the best Obviously he picked #2. Thank god he was wearing his helmet, and his leather, he ended up about 50ft from the bike when it was all over. You can see on his jacket, and chaps where he slid down the highway. He's very lucky there was no other cars coming. Anyway he's quite sore, he had x-rays yesterday on his leg, but it's so swollen they can't see anything yet. They gave him a brace, and some vicoden, he was a site last night trying to cook at the restaurant. All in all though he's ok, more worried about his bike then anything else

I read all the post from yesterday-no way I can catch up with that but I would like to share how my boys got their names.

Elliott Peter ~ Mark wanted to do the Jr. thing I said no way! However, if it did come down to that I would call him Elliott, which is Marks middle name, also his dads name. Peter is my dad, and my brothers middle name so thats where he came from. If it was a girl we liked Allyson Elizabeth-not sure where Allyson came from but Elizabeth from me, and it's my moms middle name.

Judson Matthew ~ I had a baby brother named Judson who died a few hours after birth of heart problems (that's why when my Judson was rushed to NICU 2 hrs away because of a heart murmmer we really freaked) Matthew comes from my other brother who was born the year after Judson. If it had been a girl this time we were still going to do Elizabeth as a middle name, but now besides Allyson we also liked Abagail, Lydia, and Emma.

We've got t-ball this afternoon, then I'm back at work tonight-but not cooking I'm actually waitressing It's been a long time since I've done that, but it will be some quick cash so I won't complain-too much

Just started my second 24oz bottle of h2o, still no cheats! I know it's only saturday, and I wasn't going to weigh again till tuesday, but I might anyway. I'm sure nothing has changed though since it's TOM, maybe when it's gone I'll have a nice big WHOSH!

Oh Elliott was in the local newspaper he won 3rd place in the bike decorating contest-sorry if I already told you

Ok I won't bore you guys anymore, I'm outta here! I'll try to check back later, either before or after work

Morning, ladies, it's only 9 a.m. here! It looks like it's gonna rain here...but I'm hoping not! Jared is working, they have 24 guns to build..and they can usually build about 3 an hour...so I'm hoping he is home by like 6 tonight!! I think after today he will have worked 70 something hours this week! YUCK! If it doesn't rain I'm gonna take the kids on a long walk today, then put them down for naps and clean!!

Melissa and Chelle, sorry you two had such longs nights!! I myself didn't go to bed til after 2 but that was my own fault!! Hope you guys get caught up on sleep this weekend!! Do both your hubbies get Sundays off?? Jared usually does...hopefully he will tomorrow!!

Dawn-Hey, glad you got to sleep in!! Way to go on starting to eat clean again!! So are you doing LC again and just BFL workouts??

Liz-That is scary about your dad! I'm so glad he wasn't hurt more!! I hope you make lots of money waitressing!! I LOVED waitressing when I did it, and I might wait tables for some extra money this summer!!

Sarah-Happy FREE day!! I can't believe only two weeks left of BFL! Hope you have alot of fun with the BBQ!!

Vanessa- Yeah, Andrew doesn't go back to work until 10pm on Monday. He's asleep now, but probably will get up around 1 or 2ish. He came home and sent me to bed at 6:30 am, and then went to bed at 8am himself when Hunter looked a bit sleepy. Then at 9:30, Hunter decided enough was enough and it was time to play again. I'm hoping that he will decide to take another nap around 12:30, I think I'll try giving him a bath around then to see if that will help him take a longer nap (and he will also be clean for dinner tonight)

HUH?? I tried to figure it out, but no go!

I got a wild hair to move a big recleiner from the living room into the dining room that we're going to use for the baby to play in. BUT, I can't fit it through the doorway in the kitchen & I'm having issues getting it past the couch. Anyone want to come and help me lift it over the couch?

DH had to go to work for a while this afternoon, so I won't be seeing him til later tonight. Audrey is sleeping... Poor kid, I think she uses the weekends to catch up from the sleep she doesn't get at daycare.

One sad thing for me: One of the caregivers told me that they thought they heard her laugh out loud. I've tried to get her to laugh for me, but nothing. Part of me hopes they're wrong, so I can be the first to hear her...

D~

Murphy got his 6 month vax yesterday. He has been sleeping like crazy. Is that normal? I don't remember him sleeping like this after any of the others. He only woke twice last night, midnight and 3am. I was actually worried when he was still asleep at 7:30am. I had DH go change him and bring him to me. I nursed him in bed (we are finally getting good with it lying down). He talked about 15 minutes and fell asleep and so did I. He woke at 9am and I nursed him asleep again. We both slept until 11:15 . He played for a little while, nursed again, and fell asleep on DH's lap at 12:45. He is still asleep. I figure he has been awake a total of 2 hours since 9pm last night.

Dierdre.....you can request them not to share those things with you so that you can experience them for the first time.

Well....I blew it this morning. LOL Hubby and I went out to breakfast before running some errands...and what jumped in my mouth?? OJ, pancakes w/real syrup and some potato hashbrowns. *sigh* Oh well, it tasted good and I'm not gonna live regreting it!!

Hubby's sleeping right now....Elana's napping, but stirring every 15 mins. Hopefully she'll sleep past 7:15 tomorrow morn as hubby works t'nite and gets home then...he said if she's still asleep, he'll let me sleep in! Then he has Sun/Mon off....and works days Tues. so I'll have him Tues. nite too!

I remember Audrey sleeping a ton after her vaccinations last time. I wouldn't worry about it, as long as he's sleeping comfortably.

Isn't amazing how those amazingly tasty things just jump into your mouth? I'm having that issue, but with things I don't really care for. I ate all the tasty things yesterday! LOL.

Audrey & I are going to attempt to vaccuum the house now!

She laughed twice and I heard her!!! Of course I cried... :-) Laughing must be hard work because she nursed for about 10 minutes and then crashed.... Guess I'll finish up the floors. The vaccuum got a little clogged up with cat hair, so gotta try and fix it!

Good Morning!

Nothing new here this morning, things went well at work last night but i'm glad I don't do it all the time. I made pretty good $ this weekend, maybe I'll get some food now. The kiddos are going to my MILs this afternoon for a few hours, I hate leaving them there, but I've avoided it for as long as possible.

Dierdre ~ Did you get all the cat hair?

Melissa ~ Hope you had fun last night!

Chelle ~ Did Elana sleep in for you this morning?

Jen ~ How's Murphy feeling today?

I hope everyone else is having a nice weekend! We are going to mow this afternoon as soon as Mark fixes the blade, I killed it the other night. Maybe we'll all go out to eat at the restaurant tonight, or just stay here and relax before the crazy week starts up again. Not sure

I'd better go jump in the shower while Judson is sleeping. Oh by the way I never did get on the scale the other day, I'm going to wait till after TOM, probably tuesady or wednesday. Still for that Woosh!

Deirdre~ I feel your pain on the vacuuming. We have a shepherd mix and his hair is every where. We keep him and Murphy on separate sides on the house because I don't want Murphy learning to crawl in dog hair.

Liz~ Murphy seems back to his normal sleeping pattern. Thanks to everyone about the vax's. That is probably all it was.

Guess what! I got TOM yesterday . I have been spoiled and haven't had to deal with this for 16 months. I was so b!thcy yesterday and when Aunt Flo reared her angry head, at least I had a reason. My poor DH. I wonder how he lives with me sometimes.

I got the vacuuming done. Probably won't get much else done, as DH is about to go outside to do the yard work. We only get 2 days off together out of every 2 weeks, so it sucks when he has to spend one of them doing the yard. But one of us has to watch the baby. He used to do it on his days off when I was working, so we always played on the days we had off together. ~sigh~

Jen- Now I can be the one who killed the thread! LOL

Audrey and I went to the mall to meet friends for lunch, then picked up a shirt that had been ordered for me. Went to go home, and bam! Monsoon downpour. YUCK! Needless to say that we were in the mall for a couple of hours, and I HATE shopping. Now sometimes I believe that there are no coincidencs in life... If I hadn't of stayed in the mall so long, I wouldn't have run into a friend from years ago. She now has 5 kids, 2 being twin boys just born 6 weeks ago!! It was really shocking to see her and fun to think we could re-new our friendship. I have very few good friends (ummm, make that one). I'm a nice person, but have a hard time trusting people. :-(

Anyway that was my Sunday.. How was yours??

Side note: All southern mommies- are you getting ready for the Hurricane season? We're trying to do it now, so we don't get caught up in the panic.

Can anyone steer me to the website on how to wear your baby? I thought it was on one of these threads, but I can't find it from earlier days...!!

Thanks!
