Hey, everyone,

I figured it was close enough to Monday, so I started the thread.

We had a good weekend here. Friday night we went to a friend's house in Dade City for a cookout/frisbee practice. We brought both dogs, so it was tiring and stressful, but also fun. After dinner, everyone played Beyond Balderdash, except me since I had a fussy baby to tend to. I would have totally sucked at the game, anyways.. I'm not creative enough.

Saturday was very busy. We competed in another frisbee competition with both of our dogs. It was really tiring, dealing with both dogs plus baby, but we managed! Molly, my crazy Aussie, did better than we thought she would. She stresses out easily, but she had a few good catches with Rob and actually remembered to return the frisbee a few times!

To top it off, Caena took first AND second! And, I got first!!!! Yep, Rob got second, and he's not happy. LOL... Just kidding, but he keeps telling me that I wore her out so she didn't perform well for him.

So, today has been spent being very lazy and recovering. I didn't even change out of my pj's.

Don't mean to nit pick...but my week wasn't moved up to the 28th week/third trimester. I don't know why, I have the habit of checking every Monday just to see me moving up the ladder.

Sorry if I missed anything big over the weekend...Alli and Amy...I think you both had your showers...??? Hope you got some good stuff!!

I am exhausted today!! I was up at 3:00 with crampyness. I started to get nervous because at my last appt the doctor gave me the whole "preterm labor" checklist and one of the things was stomach cramping with or without BM. Basically that was what it was like. I got so nervous. It felt like I needed to go to the bathroom, but when I went, I had no "urge". Make sense?? So I drank a glass of water and layed on my left hand side and it passed. Then I think I was so nervous that I couldn't sleep. Plus baby woke up from me pacing and was kicking like crazy!! Anyway...I FINALLY fell asleep at like 5:00 then had to wake DH up at 5:45. And then I had trouble falling back to sleep for my remaining hour.

I have a doctors appt today and my u/s because of my weight loss so I figure I will mention it today and see what they said. Hopefully I really did have to "go" and the iron pills were just stopping me up.

Amy, when you have the real thing you will know. To me it was more like rhythemic gas pains. BHs were more like a leg cramp type thing. You actually may have had gas pains. Amy the clear stuff like Sarah said is col o strum. I spaced it so we don't get a link to cow stuff. LOL They sell it as a supplement!

I'm blah today. I think I'm starting to dialate or eface or something. My cervix isn't happy. My icky wetness is now changing colors sometimes. I can't go now though. DH just quit his job and started a new one today. LOL That is how you have to do it in the car biz. We will have insurance, we will have to COBRA but he can't take time off yet.

Hello to everyone else. I am so sleepy today. We fininshed up working last night around midnight. I still have to paint the trim in the bedroom. I'll sure be happy when it is done.

Well, I've made it to 10DPO. Still trying to hold out on testing for as long as possible. I really don't want a negative test.

ugh, work calls. Hopefully I'll be able to stay awake until 5pm.

Darlene - I'm so happy you guys are competing again!!! And Alison is getting chunky....she looks precious!! She looked like Rob, but now I can't tell. My poor little fella looks like a little fryer chicken. His time will come.

Becca - I'm sorry about Dan, I know you were close to him. He was so sweet when it came to defending me in posts, or asking me if he wanted me to have him hold me accountable when I was moaning about my weight (before I got pregnant). He was such a supportive member on the board. I hope you feel better soon.

As far as breastfeeding....it's going. I can't say I am thrilled about it because of the PAIN...but it is definitely getting better. He is a slow eater.....30 minutes on each breast. Sometimes he wants just one, sometimes he wants both....sometimes he pees all over me, sometimes he poops in between breasts.....he keeps me busy!!! We are working on latching. DH is feeling a little left out, but since Hamilton poops a gazillion times a day, they are getting some "quality" time.

I think I will "enjoy" it once the pain subsides. I'm glad it is working out.

OMG, Ames! Grant is so cute. What a beautiful baby.

I am feeling blue today, so it was great to pop in and see cute pics of babies and dogs! Thanks Dar!

My blues are mostly my own doing with a dose of hormones thrown in, I'm sure. I'm having a hard time concentrating on anything other than baby thoughts and planning, and have gotten a bit behind in my work. So that stresses me out some.

Plus I ate junk on the weekend. Gah -- why do I always forget/block out how gross I end up feeling? Not only fat and yucky, but seriously blue. I think the sugar highs and lows effect me even more now that I rarely eat sugar. When I do go overboard I feel genuinely depressed.

Oh well it's another day. I will eat on plan today and get some work done, and tomorrow will be brighter.

Dena - so glad to hear the BFing is going better. Sorry you've got sore boobs though - that's no fun. I thought it wasn't supposed to hurt if the baby was latching on properly? I hope it goes away soon. Loved the fryer chicken comment!

Becca - you're getting close now! Another month of discomfort and you'll have your new baby! I know it probably seems like forever right now. Good luck to your DH in his new job.

The shower was great... I had a wonderful time... the room looked beautiful, food was delish, cake was great, games were hilarious!

We played a game where everyone had the name of a different princess attached to their back and they had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out who they were... I was Jasmine... it was really fun. We also played baby bingo, unscramble words to make baby items (I sucked at that one! ~laughs~), figure out nursery rhyme titles (for example, a *trio of rodents that can't see* would be *3 Blind Mice*), and everyone had to try and come up with 2 animals for every letter of the alphabet... that one was hard and really fun! No one could think of anything but Unicorn for U... I've been looking up animals online today because I'm determined to win next time! ~laughs~

Got some really nice stuff too...
* Bouncer
* clothes (adorable stuff! socks, mittens, outfits, bonnet, sunglasses, etc)
* handmade blankets from my mom, Carolyn (DH's step-father's ex-wife), and April
* Baby health kit (thermometer, suctiony thing, etc)
* Engraved necklace that says Kayden, and a certificate to take it back when she's born to have her birthdate put on it
* and various other things... I loved everything!

Hi ladies, I'm back from my appointment. My belly is measuring a bit small so my doctor scheduled me for another ultrasound. I was so excited to get another u/s I didn't question him about being too small! Hope the baby is doing ok.

Dar, I almost said earlier that I thought Allison might be looking more like you. At least in the picture with her eyes open.

GoJ, I am laughing at your post between the fryer chicken comment and the quality time your husband gets with Hamilton. I saw some pictures you posted and he is just beautiful!

You shouldn't be worried about measuring small. Sounds like they are doing a good job of monitoring you. My doctor said next pregnancy we would have to do more ultrasounds because Hamilton surprised us all with his size. We were both surprised that he came in at 6 pounds. We are going to look at diabetes again next time too. She said in some cases you can have an underweight baby as well. The placenta went bad before 40 weeks and the fluid was about gone, but we don't know why. Hamilton came in measuring about 38 weeks. They will do a good job of keeping up with your baby's growth. All that matters is that she is healthy!!

Kaillean - It's not supposed to hurt with proper latching. He messed up one of my nipples from a bad latch and we are trying to recouperate from it.....YIKES!!!! They still get tender even with good latches, but that is supposed to pass. Hope you are feeling better!!

Hi Ladies,

I had my shower this weekend. It was great! I can't believe how many people came considering it's my second and third child. We now have most of the big items we need and only need a few of the smaller things like a new changing table pad and covers, some side snap shirts and other little things. The food was awesome too . It was VERY tiring to have it here though. My SIL was supposed to help me do all kinds of things and that never happened, so the two days before I was doing WAY too much. Yesterday, I just laid around as much as possible, I can't believe how bad I felt.
I had another NST today. The babies are still very active and I was having a lot of contractions. They didn't seem real concerned about it, they're not totally regular. They were (in minutes) 9,9,6,9,9,11. I could tell them everytime I was having one and they don't hurt at all. I have another OB appointment on Thursday. Still hoping to hang on until week 35 so we can have them at our hospital. Although, dh and I were thinking that if we go before and do end up at the other hospital maybe we'll try for a VBAC if they'll let us. Don't know if they'd do that either considering they'd technically be preemies. Hmmmm.
The babies are absolutely adorable as usual . I can't believe how fast they're growing. It's so happy and sad at the same time isn't it?
~Dena - I'm SOOO happy that bfing is going fairly well . I'd say my nipples stopped being sore by the end of the first month. BFing gets SOOO easy after you get going. My old motto used to be "when in doubt whip it out". LOL

~Kaillean - You're intitled to some blues, it comes with the territory .

~Luna - I'm sure everything is fine and you get to see your little one again.

~Amy/Vix - Glad to hear you enjoyed the shower after all the worrying you did about it.

Hey everyone!

Back from my appt. I swear...this kid is going to get a time out as soon as she pops out!! Everytime I have to go for an u/s where they need to get measurements, etc, she doesn't cooperate!! So, not only did I leave early Friday and today, but now I have to leave early on Wednesday to drive into Boston to get another u/s! My work is going to be so annoyed!! But it was the ONLY appt they could get at two different places in the next two days. They didn't want to wait any longer than that.

Everything was fine except that they didn't see any movement. She is measuring right on target and weighs about 2lbs 10oz. Oh, and yup, she is still a girl!!

She is lying in a "U" shape. Her head is under my right boob and her feet are under my left. That would explain the kicking on my left side.

Doctor wasn't concerned about my stomach pains last night...although now that I am thinking about it, she didn't mention, and I didn't ask, what she thought it was.

Glucose test from Friday came back fine. So I passed both. Woo, Hoo!!

Luna ~ Glad your appt went okay. Don't worry about your tummy measuring smaller than expected. I had this u/s because I was still losing weight. And that is fine as it turns out. Good luck though.

Kaillean ~ It's all foods fault...not yours! Food makes you think crazy thoughts. Like when you think that huge sundae will fit in your stomache and then *blech* you feel like crud after. You'll get the hang of this. Like I can't drink OJ anymore. I get MAJOR heartburn.

Vixen ~ Oooo...your shower sounds like it was fun!! I hope mine is a blast.

Dena ~ LMAO...he does look like he is ready to get put in a crockpot!!

Alli ~ Sounds like you had a good shower too!! DH keeps checking our registry and he is so bummed that nothing new has been purchased. I keep laughing at him. The invitations haven't even gone out yet!! LOL I will cross my fingers that you can hold off until at least 35 weeks. It's not that far. Oh and regarding my milk coming in fast...I don't plan on breastfeeding so I guess it doesn't make a huge difference.

Alli-My PPD will probably be okay as long as I can take my meds every day. I can't take them every day now because of the horrible restless leg syndrome. They say it is aggravated by the baby pressing on my sciatic nerve.

DH just changed jobs today. The dog is driving me nuts. DH plays rough with him on Sundays and can be harsher and take things from him mouth etc. Then when I try to do things with him that are treat driven not dominance driven he doesn't listen. DH doesn't get it. Monday is always the worst. He peed on the kitchen floor 3 times and was jumping on me and snapping. I tried to practice "down" with him and couldn't get past "sit" without him jumping and grabbing for the treat. He is getting big too. I was noticing today that even his freaking poop is getting bigger!

I'm having a hard time right now because my kids do not listen. DH once again... And that I was not having another child. It is just so close to coming now I feel like I won't be able to handle it. DH is gone from 7am until 10:30 at the earliest. Fridays is supposed to be his day off but since he has been busy and now a new job. No day off until baby comes. He works Sat. too leaves at 6:45 home anytime after 6:30. Hard to raise 2 and now 3 kids by myself. Sometimes my sanity really suffers.

Sorry, I didn't mean to go on and on like this.

I'm going to go to bed, have a good cry and try and get at least one full hour of sleep.

Becca, have you ever watched the television show "The Dog Whisperer"? I have learned a ton from it about how to control difficult dogs. It is on the National Geographic channel. Maybe you can tape it? I guess it is all about how to be a calm, assertive leader to our dogs. Most people try to treat dogs like children and they don't respond well to that type of leadership. (I know that's what I was doing.) We have tried a few of his techniques and they work wonders with our Rottweiler & German Shepard mix. Cesar Millan, the dog whisperer guy, really makes a lot of good points.

Becca - BIG HUGS!!! What a horrible time to get a puppy huh? My brother had a rotty and she was awesome. Turned out to be a 130 pound lap dog LOL. I can remember when he first got her he lived on the third story, he used to carry her up the steps because they were bad for her hips or something. Sometimes you just need a good cry! I hope you feel better tomorrow.
