Morning Ladies,
Today is my shower

. I still feel odd about having a shower for my 2nd and 3rd babies but everyone insisted. It's at my house too. Chels warned me too late not to have it here LOL. I'm heading out for a pedicure while everyone gets everything ready. There are supposed to be 10 kids here too *phew*, at least we have a playroom for them and a big fenced in area in the back.
Anyway, I'll pop in later to check on everyone.

Hi ladies,

Official announcement -- it's a GIRL!

Our ultrasound went great. Everything looked normal and healthy, which was our main concern. And we saw those 3 little white lines... so my little daughter is going to have a baby sister.

Now on to the name game. *sigh*

Congrats Jenn!! I just found out yesterday that I'm having a girl also!

There are so many beautiful girl names out there, - it's very difficult to choose.

Kaillean, I happen to be on a site this morning and saw an article on baby shower games! They give you about 8 of them to play, - they're cute! I don't think we can post other websites, so I will PM you the site!

Good morning ladies. Congrats on the girls!!

I'm a bit sad this morning. Hearing of Dan( LCTC ) on the PG. Hormones are a very bad thing when bad things happen. He had said once that Dena and I were 2 of his fave's on the PG for making Pregnancy a spectator sport or something like that.

I'm so uncomfortable and I'm still carrying high. This boy keeps stretching out and pushing alot though. He loves eggplant parm too. We went out and ate and he jumped for hours!

Ugh... today is the day of my shower... I'm so not looking forward to this... I'm trying to remember that it's very nice that my friends are doing this for me, but all I can think of is that they aren't doing anything the way I would like... I'm such an ungrateful friend... oh well, I blame being 35 weeks pregnant!

Anyway... I suck and am not doing personals right now... I've been reading lately, but just no energy for being specific in my post... maybe later.....

Tammara and Jenn, congratulations on having girls!

I had my heart set on a boy at first but when I found out I was having a girl I got really excited about that.

Kaillean, here are some things from my shower:
-Have people cut an amount of yarn equal to what they think will go around mother's body. (I would check and make sure she is ok with this first!)
-Play a memory game. Assemble several different baby items (bottle, diaper, pacifier) and let everyone view the items for 15 seconds or so then cover them and see who remembers the most. Then give the items to the mom.
-My friend drew a giant (and scary) baby on a poster and we played pin the pacifier on the baby.

Alli and Vixen, I hope your showers go ok and don't cause any stress!

Alli - you shouldn't feel bad about a shower....you need EVERYTHING you can get with two on the way!!!!! I'm so surprised how much Hamilton is going through...I remember returning receiving blankets that I wish I had now!!!

I went to a shower where you put a piece of paper on your head...preferably with a small book under it for support and you had to draw a baby without looking. The mother picked the best picture.

At my shower, we had a tray with baby stuff on it.....about 20 little items. Everyone looked at the tray for a minute and then had to write down what was on it from memory. Whoever got the most won.

We also played "Oops, my water broke". You got little tiny plastic babies and put them in ice cubes. Whichever ice cube melted first and the baby floated to the top won.

Then there were some puzzles and stuff we played.

Hey weekend mommies!

Tammara & Jenn, congratulations on finding out about your girls. I have to say that I am a wee bit jealous. We couldn't tell at our first u/s at 17 weeks and didn't have an amnio. We have a 2nd u/s this Thursday (at 22 weeks), hopefully they will be able to tell by then. DH and I are dying to know!

Vixen Amy, glad to hear that the shower went okay. I am kind of dreading mine too, but it is not until July, so, I have a while to go still.

Alli, how'd your shower go?

Luna, I saw your belly pic the other day and I am SO jealous. You look fabulous! I am still in the phase where I just look fatter, can't wait for the phase when strangers can tell that I'm pregnant. Speaking of which, trying to find clothes that look even "okay" are the hardest part of being pregnant for me so far. Does anyone have any suggestions for places to buy cute maternity clothes? Before I was pg I was wearing around size 12. Now, it seems I am wearing more of a 14/L.

Dena, love the "Oops, my water broke" game. I normally prefer no games at Baby Showers, but perhaps they'll be more fun for me now that I can relate to it a bit more.
