Hi Ladies,

- I'm reposting from lastnight, just in case no one can find it LOL.

Well, we had a NST and an OB appointment yesterday and an u/s today! I am carrying nearly 10 pounds of baby around at the moment ! Baby B the boy is measuring at 4lbs 13oz and Baby A girl is measuring in at 4lbs 10oz!!! They are still measuring 2 weeks ahead, I know that they are not really 2 weeks ahead, but I believe they are one week ahead due to a short AF. According to BBC at 31 weeks the baby(ies) should way a little over 3lbs. Oh and they are both head down now. The boy was breech for the longest time.

~Mandy - Big HUGS! You're doing a great job, hang in there!

~Amy - I agree you need to talk to someone else. I wouldn't word it as "am I doing something wrong", I would say "I am doing my job and haven't had any complaints". What's his F$##&ing issue with me . Do the best you can and keep your chin up.

~Becca - Chels, Kaillean and I have been talking wax on and off for a while now. I'm going for the big OUCH on Tuesday. I feel so gross down there with this pregnancy, I can't wait LOL. I'm going for the French vs. the Brazilian or the American. I'm also getting a pregnancy massage that day, but all I keep thinking about is the wax LOL. If you get it done before Tuesday let me know how it goes.

~Chels - Beautiful baby and great pictures as always .

~Luna - You look GREAT!

~Kaillean - No help here with the CD's, we use disposables. We used to use a Diaper Genie and I loved it BUT the darn inserts are outragous and when your little one gets big you go through them very fast. We now use the Diaper Champ which uses garbage bags, it's okay but doesn't keep the smell away as much. When the babies are born, we'll use the Genie again until they get bigger. Oh and I am up using the bathroom CONSTANTLY! It takes me a few minutes just to get up after lying down for any length of time, then I limp to the bathroom, walk back lie down again and feel like I have to go again . All night long!!!

~Meg - Sounds like it was a good day to play hookie! Hookie, hookey, hooky... hmmmm none of them look right to me LOL. I'm totally swollen and dh brought me home a pair of TED stockings today . Talk about feeling like an old lady, but they did help. They were hot though.

~Dar - I think you're right, you won't be needing 30 onesies in the same size. Ds had a bunch of clothes he never got to wear, if people left tags on I could've returned some. At least we'll have another chance to use them . About Rooney, I think he was someone that came by to show us pictures of his baby or grandbaby.

Anyway, hi to all I missed.

Alli

Hello,everyone.
I love this board but it is getting harder and harder for me to find it, I don't do well with change. But at least I stumbled across it, it did not take me to long to find it. Why do they keep changing things?

Have a great day.

Karingreen. I think this is where the thread will stay. Makes the most sense. Womens' Health. Maintain Lane never made sense really.

Alli- I'm there with ya on the bathroom thing. Can't get outta bed, limp there half hunched over and limp back. Just to do it all again. I didn't get the wax yet. I used Sally hansen LOL. You should go gung ho and get it all done if you are getting the french! Let us know how it goes. Maybe start French and if it doesn't feel too awful bad go for it! I just really would like to be Bare there for post partum. So much cleaner!

Darlene ~ Thanks for cleaning up the list. I would have been completely lost!

Alli ~ Phew...10lbs already?!? How are you doing?? Glad to hear that everything is going well otherwise.

Chelsea ~ I am going to have to go back later and look at those precious pictures.

Karin ~ Don't feel bad...I was all confused this morning too. I couldn't figure out where you all were. But, I guess having a woman's issue board is good. Hope you can continue to find us.

So, I never heard back from HR about my doctor's appts. I think she is out today. I may send her another e-mail later touching base. I know my boss is WAY out of line on this one.

I have a meeting with him at 4:00 today to go over all my issues. Wish me luck. I will try not to cry.

Oh, and I got a certified letter from my previous landlord yesterday!! Crazy woman!! She wants to know "what I am trying to pull". The letter was full of bull and it was totally unprofessional. It was handwritten, misspellings throughout it and she didn't even send me an original - it was a copy!!

So, I definitly saw my stomach jump several times last night. I still think it's funny that I can't feel it from the outside though. I feel from the inside, I can see it move but I can't feel it from the outside.

Well, I will try to pop back later!!

HEY GIRLIES!

Well, I weighed for the first time yesterday. Can you say SHOCK!?!?! I knew I gained a lot, but JEEZ OH MAN! I was 238. I know that a lot of that is still baby weight, but still... This is AFTER giving birth to the gargantuan baby and apparently having a gargantuan placenta... (I didn't care to look, but it was about double the size of an average one. JEEZ!)

BUT - Today I'm 235.5. I suspect I'll be losing really quickly until the 6 weeks is over. We shall see. I'm trying to kick but eating wise though.

ALI - That's awesome about their weights! Just thing... One more month, and they won't even be preemies. Heck... they're not far off from being 5 pounds now. COOL!

HI KARIN!

BECCA - I would've liked to have been clean, but I never went for a wax... Couldn't reach down there to shave... AND Hubby wouldn't do it. I felt so icky - LOL!

AMY - Maybe crying would be a good thing - LOL! I always joked that being pregnant gave me an excuse to cry and scream at the men to intimidate them. (No, I never did... I just joked about it!) In all seriousness - Good luck!

Hey Jefinner, I'm sure some of that is water weight too. Takes awhile to get your body back to working properly. You will probably sweat alot of it off soon. Hormones and all. I would never have guessed you weighed that so it is probably water.

Amy- sorry your landlord is being such a hoochie. She is trying to intimidate you. Take her to court and be done with it. Sorry about your boss too. Do you have sick/vacation time to cover your appts? Do you make up the time? What is normal policy for a Dr. appt? ( I used to work in HR. LOL)

Becca - as long as it is under 3 hours we don't use any vacation or sick time for it. We just put it in as misc time.

Just my 2 cents as a lurker....

Amy check out FMLA it is the Family Medical Leave Act. You are protected against harassment because of this act. If your employer employees more than 50 people.

Cari-She would have to apply for this and use the hours as part of her total 12wks of leave. FMLA is also unpaid leave and I don't believe that medical appts are covered. I don't think it will come to that for her for these appts. Especially if it is normal policy to just use them as misc time.

Thanks!!

No problem, at my last employer when I was PG with #1, I could use part of my FMLA leave towards my appt visits.

I just hate seeing PG women get screwed. One of my good friends was fired while on maternity leave, but not covered by FMLA.

Best of luck.

I just had my 35 week appointment with my midwife... she's great, just have to say that again... anyway... we were discussing my feelings about when the baby is going to come and stuff... well, pretty much no one is thinking the baby is going to wait until June! I'm hoping she does wait, but ever since the beginning of this pregnancy June hasn't felt right... I've always suspected she'd be here late May (though I've tried to deny that feeling)... combine that with the fact that her head is low, I've been doing major nesting lately, and the midwife assistant said today that I "have the glow of a birthing mama"... well, you see where we're going with that!

So, I may not have a June baby after all! She HAS to wait until May 20th though... anytime after that I can have my homebirth... before that I'd have to be in a hospital because she'd be too young.

We're set to move to a bigger apartment (same complex, so not far thank god) on June 1st... if this baby could stay in until June 9th that'd be ideal... we'd get moved, have time to unpack and settle in, etc... but... babies don't always come when it's most convenient... she'll be here on her birthday... I just don't yet know when that is ~laughs~

Anyway... sorry this is so rambly... I'm just feeling rather nervous and having trouble pulling my thoughts together so they make sense ~laughs~

Hi ladies!

Thanks for the compliments. Made my day!

Alli, sounds like the twins are doing great. And both head down!

Becca, I do the hunched over limp too. In fact I pretty much walk every where a bit pathetically. Enough so that I get comments from strangers. So far I have been able to smile and laugh but I am definitely channeling Linda Blair!

Amy, I guess it goes without saying to tell you to let us know how the meeting goes? Good luck!

Jefinner, I'll bet that weight does come off quick these next several weeks. As for the joke about crying, I'm not much of a crier but everytime someone looks at my belly a little uneasy (in the elevator etc.) I have a such an urge to pretend I'm going into labor.

LOL.. I was on the phone once with this total ditz trying to figure out our wireless network. She had no idea how to help me, and kept having me do the same things over and over and had me on hold forever. I think I was on the phone with her over an hour, and was so frustrated I almost cried. I was so tempted to tell her that my water broke so I could get off the phone! In the end, SHE hung up on ME! I guess I got snippy with her. LOL..

Mandy!!! Please keep us posted....has the doctor been able to estimate how long Spencer can thrive with little/no fluid?
No, they haven't given me any idea. They just keep saying as long as he's moving and making breathing movements they aren't going to take any action. I'm assuming we'll know more next week. If he still isn't growing up to par I would assume they'd diagnose him as an IUGR baby and induce. If he can grow better in an isolette than in me, why not let him grow in an isolette? Average weight gain in the NICU is 1 oz. a day and Spencer only gained 3 oz. last week.

Hope everyone is having an ok day.

Let us know how your meeting goes Amy.

Mandy

Well, I am back from my meeting. I think it went okay. I got everything off my chest. He agreed with me on a lot of stuff. I think it is really that my boss just has a strong personality and is very busy so comes across short. He reassured me that he has no issues with anything I do - doctors appts, processing, etc.

We did disagree on a couple of things, but he sees my side and I got it out.

Turns out in my department of 100 or so people, my daily processing is the 4th highest volume. Who knew??

Anyway...he said that he hoped this made me feel better and I admitted that I was nervous that this was just a sugar coating and that the sourness was going to come back through in a few weeks, but I hoped for the best.

All in all, I think it went okay. I just hope it stays this way.

Well, I am off...ready for Survivor and Apprentice tonight!! Woo hoo!!

Mandy ~ I am so sorry you are going through this hard time. You are so strong. I hope and pray everything works out.

Hi Everyone,

Well, I've been lurking for awhile and would officially like to be added to the TTC list. I'm hoping to lose more weight as we try but at 32 years old we just don't want to wait much longer. I'm very healthy for my size 18 frame (I work out everyday and eat very well).

A couple of questions...does anyone know of any good fertility tracking resources online that are either free or don't cost an arm and a leg?

Also, I have Celiac's Disease....anyone else here in the same boat?

Thanks! You guys are a very strong group of women and I have learned a lot from reading your posts. God bless you all!

Welcome Daisy. Fertility Friend is a good resource, and they have free tools as well as paid tools. There is also lots of good info on their forums there. Good luck TTC!!

Alli - so glad to hear your babies are thriving. That must make you feel good. Be sure and let us know how the wax goes. I ended up shaving for my trip. Was going to get out the Magic Powder and then read that you are not supposed to use depilatories when preggers. So I had to put up with the itch. Yuk.

I also read about another diaper system -- can't for the life of me remember what it's called -- No something. Made by Safety First. I think they have it at BRU. Apparently, it keeps smells out better than the Diaper Genie, but uses ordinary bags like the Diaper Champ.

Luna -- great belly!! You look like the pregnancy poster woman! I wish I was as fit as you, and hadn't let my exercise slide so much. I feel fluffy and my belly is getting bigger, but not hard yet, so that just makes me feel fatter.

Martha -- are you out there? I was thinking of you and hope you are feeling better. Don't let the blues get the best of you -- please make sure you talk to someone if you feel like they are more than you can deal with. Hope you and Logan are doing well.

Mandy -- thinking of you.

Good news about your meeting Amy. Like Becca said, probably wouldn't hurt to clarify the issue of your med appts, in case it comes up again.

I hope our other new moms are doing great.

Hi to Dena, Chels, Vixen, Becca, Jefinner, Pauline, Dar, Grace, Meg and the rest of you who I am not intentionally forgetting! Hope you are having a good day.

Hi everyone! I know I haven't checked in for awhile, so NOT trying at the moment but I wanted to pop in and say hi to all of you and welcome all the new babies. So very precious.

My nephew, Jacob was born today at 12:53 PM. He weighed in at 8 lbs 4 oz and was 20 inches. So beautiful. Just wanted to share him with you all.

Amy, sounds like good news. Hope things do get better between you and your boss.

Mandy,

Kaillean, thank you so much! I have not been exercising much at all anymore. Too slow, too sore, too clumsy.
