Hola girls... Well, I think I've lost most of my plug over the past couple days, so that's a good sign! And I go in for my BPP U/S and the midwife appt, is right after that. I might tell her that she needs to yank his little stubborn butt out of there!

Hey gals, wow 6 ladies close to delivering!!

Jeffiner...I never asked, but are you sure of your due date? I always wonder that. I don't like when they change your due date due to ultrasound info. I can always pinpoint mine perfectly and the last 2 came on their due dates! I doubt I'll be that lucky this time. I'm glad you are having some signs.

Dena- How are you feeling? How are your feet?

I'm okay today. Doggie is wearing me out. The 2 kids don't help either. I am getting too tired. I am starting to feel nauseous and dehydrated. I can't sleep at night, but I can sleep in the morning and don't get to because the kids want to get up and the dog wants out. Napping is not an option with everyone's schedules.

I wasn't completely sure, but from my last period, I couldn't have been more than a week off. (I was nursing, and thought my lack of a period was due to that... So, I was over 4 months pregnant when I found out...) They haven't changed anything due to the U/S... They'll only do that if there's a HUGE discrepancy, and there hasn't been much more than a week difference between my EDD and the U/S EDD.

BECCA - I feel for you! I know what you mean about wanting to nap during the day. I'm sorry the dog is running you ragged too.

Oh... Men are so juvenile sometimes. So, I tell my husband that I lost more of my plug this morning and he replies, "I lost some of my poop this morning!" JEEEZUM! LOL!

*snort* at Jenn's husband!! They think they are such comedians!!

Becca - I am doing great! I keep waiting for that miserable "bowling ball" between the legs feeling, but the baby is still up high. You mentioned something about discharge....I haven't had any this entire pregnancy....is that strange? I keep hoping I will see something that indicates that this baby is coming.....but there is NOTHING!!!! I've had hormone issues in the beginning, and I am wondering if I am going to get enough hormones going to get this baby out????? You know I have nothing to compare this to since it is the first.....

What did you name the dog? Or is it Doggie? Sorry about the timing. Puppies are like newborns and you need your rest....goodness...you are going to have an extended period of caring for newborns....you get this one trained and out comes yours!! Are you able to sneak in some rest when hubby is home? Wish I could come take care of the dog/kids for you....it would give me something to do!! I am freagin' BORED!!!!

My feet are great since I am not working. I wonder if I am too rested (if that is possible). People keep telling me to walk....which I think is a good idea, but my back spasms after about five minutes....

Know what Dena... I think that babies are ready when they're ready... The only way to get them out earlier is to cut 'em out, or to be induced... I've been walking, eating eggplant, having sex (and THAT is difficult right now!!! LOL!), eating fresh pineapple, etc... Okay, so I've pretty much enjoyed everything except the walking, and to be honest the sex (that's terrible, because I usually love sex... This boy is just too low and big...), but the eggplant and pineapple... YUMMMY!

And I'm sure you have plenty of hormones... I haven't had too much discharge either. Wait... Don't take my advice... My kid ain't comin out! LOL!

Jen, are you trying to break my record for a late baby? Will your midwife strip your membranes? Mine wouldn't...Hope you have that baby soon.

HI Everyone just popping in to say HI! Tomorrow is my due date and if there is no baby by 7:00 Thursday night I go into the hospital for induction! Which scares me a little a bit. We went Monday for an ultrasound and the baby was very stubborn it took over an hour for her to get the measurements she needed. They guess (I think it is a guess) the baby is 8lb 6oz which would be my biggest yet, I have good amniotic fluid, but high blood sugar and blood pressure the OB who I wish I would have changed in the beginning wanted to induce me on Monday, but I had to come home and mop my bathroom floor. (My 3 yr still does not have good aim )

So If baby does not come by Thursday night DH will take me for a nice meal and we will check in at 7:00 for a cervical suppository and start pitocin in the morning. I have tried to keep busy and not let panic set in, I am really nervous about being induced and I am not sure why. I guess this is good I have made arrangements for my parents to watch the boys and trade them off to my inlaws so there is a plan of action more so than my water broke who can I get a hold of first. And by mothers day I should be the mother of 3! (and I won't have to go to brunch with MIL)

Come on Jennifer & GoJackets I will race you!!!!
My boys say that all the time for everything drinking milk getting dressed going up the stairs.

Dena- Doggie's name is Trot. After Trot Nixon of the Red Sox. I had no discharge the first 2 pregnancies. This one is defintely the opposite. And with my first 2 I had no indication of labor beforehand. NONE. So don't worry...it will happen.

Jeffinner-Hang in there hun. I'm sure the midwife can do something.

Mom2twoboys-sorry, posting at the same time. Sorry about induction...but keep your health and baby's in mind. With high sugar and high BP, other things can happen. Sometimes induction is helpful. Just stay in control and ask lots of questions. Hopefully that little bugger will start everything on its own.

Hi girls,

Becca, I feel for you having to deal with a new puppy right now. It's a lot of work. We used to have a rottie and he was wonderful, but took a lot of training in the beginning. I'd definitely reccommend classes, if you're not comfortable or don't have a lot of training experience. Ours was a gentle giant, once he learned what behaviour was/was not appropriate. They do need a lot of activity to keep them occupied, so they stay out of mischief. Consistency is also key -- everyone in your family must use the same commands and follow the same routine, or they will quickly learn to take advantage. Good luck with him!

Dena -- you're so close, I can't believe it. At this rate, you will beat Jefinner!

Chels- Our trip was great, thanks for asking. I liked Sedona the best. We had good weather and did some awesome hikes there. I had no morning sickness and my energy levels were good, so I had no problem keeping up with the other girls. We did a few 10-12 mile hikes and I really felt great. There were lots of photo opps and other chances to rest and the weather never got too hot, which would have been uncomfortable.

After 5 days in Sedona, we headed for Grand Canyon, but didn't do much hiking there. It was too freaking cold! We did take a helicopter ride over the canyon, but next time, I want to do more hiking and go down to the canyon floor. We did drive down to Lees Ferry to get a glimpse from the bottom, but it wasnt' quite the same as getting there under your own steam.

We were very lucky when driving down. At the Navaho Bridge, we saw tons of people running back and forth excitedly. Turns out there were 16 California condors flying around and the scientists tracking them were going crazy. It's almost unheard of to see so many of these endangered birds together and I can now count myself among a handful of people on the planet who have seen a group like this. Cool timing, huh? They're very majestic, with 9 foot wings spans.

After GC, we headed to Vegas for a couple of days. Toured the strip and peeked into the cool hotels, caught a show (Cirque du Soleil) and ate some good food. We also spent a lot of time lying by the pool at the Mirage where we were staying. The weather was hot and sunny. All in all, a great trip.

Tammarra - I hear you on the weight gain. I indulged in a few more sugary treats and carbs than normal and I am paying the price now. I feel bloated and gross and have put on a few pounds of water weight, which I hope will drop now that I'm back home and eating on my maintenance plan. I'm trying really hard not to gain any more than 25 lbs if I can help it.

I've been lucky with very little morning sickness, so I haven't had to change my diet too much. My doc did tell me though, that if it does set in to try and not go crazy with carbs. She said that even though my body may think that's what it wants (and might be easier to get down) in the long run, it is the protein that will help control morning sickness. So even if I don't feel like eating protein, I should try and get some down, rather than reaching for the potatoes or bread, which only sets off a vicious circle. But like I said, I've been pretty lucky so far, and reality is often different from theory!

I have had a couple of days where I had to eat a few saltines before I could even think of eating my regular protein/yogurt shake for breakfast.

I'm still trying to read back and catch up on everyone's news, so forgive me if the personals are cut short this time.

Hi to all and hurry up and pop those babies out girls -- we need more pics!!

Yesterday was a really good day overall ~smiles~

My friend April took me to lunch for my do-over birthday and then we went to the Anthem Outlet Mall... I found a pair of pants that I can wear for the next month or so  and she found a bunch of shirts, a pair of pants, and several books... we walked all around (from 2-8!!!) and even saw a store with the cutest baby and kid clothes ever! I can't wait for my mom and DD to get out here... I'm going to have to take them up there.

I did find out a couple things that kind of piss me off more about the shower though. One thing I told my DH from the beginning was a did NOT want blue in the color scheme... I wanted yellow/green or pink/green or heck, pink/yellow/green... but NO BLUE!!! Well, yesterday April told me that, although my DH told her I didn't want blue, she's doing a pink/blue scheme anyway. Another thing was I told my DH that I wanted either a homemade cake or a store bought cake... nothing from a mix (I just don't like them much)... well, she's making a cake from a mix. Oh! And the shower is being held in a jr. suite at my DH's hotel... nice... but, she's going to use the room that night with her husband... now, I know it's her right, but sheesh! I'm not going to have a chance to get away to a hotel once the baby's here for quite a while, ya know? Wouldn't it have been nice to give ME the use of the room for the night too? After all, it's for my shower... come on... give the achey preggy mama a break! ~sighs~

Hello all.

I feel bad asking for thoughts and prayers after all that you all have done for me, but I'm going to go ahead and ask anyway. My water "broke" again yesterday afternoon and is now accompanied with bleeding and some contractions (although they've mostly gone away now). They attempted to take blood and start an IV, but I'm such a hard stick that I ended up with two hands/arms full of holes and no IV. They checked Spencer's position and he's still breach, so I'll have to have a c-section. I'm expecting Dr. C tomorrow to measure my fluid level, but I can't imagine there is any in there. I lost so much yesterday.

Mandy

Thoughts are with ya Mandy!!! I'm sure you've cooked Spencer up good in there. If he needs to come out now...he has the best chance you could give him. I'm sure he is as stubborn as his mommy and daddy seem and will come through just fine.
