Amy (vixen) When we first got a travel system we had this stroller. IT SUCKED! I returned it and got this one. Even though we don't use it (My dad does) it's a way better one! HTH

Morning everyone! Glad to see there are other mommies up as early as I am.

Okay... finally got around to telling the family about the triplets today. My mother and father were surprised, to say the least. Although I have to say, they didn't freak out quite as much as I had anticipated.

I'm begining the search for the minivan soon, I think. And a larger place to live. Arg. I love kids, but man, I'm finding this overwhelming.

Having low back pain like no tomorrow, and lately I've been feeling light headed. I didn't have that with my first, but its not a problem, I just have to be careful when I get up.

Everyone have a great day, and I'll try to check in later.

Good morning. I am new posting but not new lurking and really enjoy reading about everyone's individual pregnancy adventures. So much encouragement and advice is wonderful.
I am 16 weeks along and really excited but wondered if anyone else remembers or is experiencing nausea still at this point? Mine kind of builds during the day and although I have never gotten to the point of throwing up, this is with me for hours. I asked a pharmacist about Vitamin B6 and/or ginger caplets and if they were recommended but she wouldn't advise and said call my doctor.

Anyways, love to hear your stories and best of luck to everyone on this journey.

Mine went away about 14 weeks, but sounded similar as far as never throwing up....when are you taking your prenatal vitamins? I found that taking them at night helped me out....but you might be one of the lucky ones that has it much longer.

Had my weekly appointment today....pretty uneventful. The doctor and I both agreed that the baby looked pretty happy where it was at.....he or she hasn't dropped yet, no contractions...etc. She said she will probably do an internal next week (39 weeks). Her partner doesn't like to do them, but she said that she will not let me go past 41 weeks and if I have to be induced, she'd like to know how "ripe" I am......I do not want to be induced!!!!

Thanks for the idea with the prenatal vitamins. I do take them first thing in the morning with breakfast and thought that was a good idea because that's when I am NOT nauseous. But I will give your idea and try and start taking them at night. I am patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for that wonderful day when nausea is a pregnancy memory and hopefully I am NOT one of the lucky gals that have all the way thru.
All for a good cause though.......

Saltire ~ I had some light spotting at the beginning of my pregnancy. I think around 8-10 weeks. Very early. I thought for sure it was a bad sign, but my doctor had me come in for an ultrasound and then a follow up one a week later and everything was fine. Good luck!

Mandy ~ You are so brave...with everything you have gone through.

Did some more unpacking yesterday...but not much. This not being able to pick up boxes really sucks! I have to wait for DH to get home to move them for me. And, I still haven't heard from my landlord about when he is going to come back to hook up the phone lines. Grrrr...

So, I don't think I told you...my mother...half kidding, half not...told me I should get induced so that she can plan when to come down from Canada. I am kinda liking that idea. I would feel so bad if my mother missed her first grandchild being born. Do you think this is bad to ask my doctor??

Welcome and congratulations vjfreddi!!

Wasn't is MetroAmes who was nauseas from a good part of her pregnancy?

Hi everyone, just a quick update--my water is leaking, so we're going into the hospital tonight for a non stress test and an look see. I guess I'm on the 48hour clock now...I haven't noticed any real contractions, yet.

Hope everyone is doing well, I only had time to skim through quickly--I'm really behind on the thread with my parents here.

thanks Amy. NO wonder you are frustrated, moving is stressful and such hard work, never mind trying to tackle it when you are pregnant! Kudos to you and hope you are able to take it easy, even while unpacking.

Good luck Martha.

I think Ames got a little of everything....she is a good one to answer a lot of my questions!

You know what Amy, I KNOW people will disagree with me.....but this is the end of my pregnancy (hopefully) and I have come to several conclusions. The main one is: it's your body, it's your choice. From all of the research and reading I have done, I can find anything to support my beliefs or not support my beliefs on any given day.

I think we are a society of choices and what works for you and reaps a healthy baby is nobody's business. Why have all of this wonderful technology and medicine and not use it?

For me personally, I like a challenge, and I want to try it the way Nature intended, but if Nature doesn't cooperate....you better believe I will take advantage of the medicine available sister!

Dena ~ Thanks. I know I am going to want drugs...no ifs ands or buts about it. And in my head right now I don't think there is any problem getting induced. Unless this birthing class changes my mind. And, I really want my mother there. I guess I will ask my doctor when I see her next and see what her take is on it. She may be totally against it or tell me reasons why I shouldn't do it.

We will see!

Welcome Val! I agree with the idea of taking the prenatals at night. Do yours have iron in them? What you described is exactly how I feel when I take anything with iron in them... if that's what's causing the queasiness then taking them at night should help because you'll sleep through the ickiness.

Pauline, thanks for the links... I hadn't even thought of checking Sears yet for strollers... even though I don't plan on using the stroller part myself often, of course we're going to need a carseat and my mom can't lift anything over 5 lbs (BAD BAD BAD osteoporosis) so she'll need the stroller. Thanks!

Hi to everyone else! We leave soon for our 3D!!! I'm so excited! I could barely sleep last night... I was like a kid on xmas eve!

Hey Ladies.

Chrissy, Mandy and I were buddies with the bleeding for a bit. I only had spotting but had it alot. I would push your doctor to give you some explainations if he/she can. There has to be a reason, mine was cervical, not coming from the uterus.

Val-Hi! I was sick for the first 4-5 months. 24 hrs a day...it may soon pass, but you may be ill at night for awhile. Especially if you are getting overtired. Try to rest as much as you can, sleep can help.

Amy-Sorry about the moving stuff. I would be frustrated too. I am bad and lift stuff anyway...never did with my first...but you get to know your limits when PG for the 3rd time. About induction....your doctor will probably agree that induction if your cervix is starting to change is a possibility. Induction when you are not ripening will be hard on your body and possibly the baby. Especially for your first. Talk to them about it and see what they say. Just expect with your first...it may be a very long and rough labor. I'm with ya on the drugs. I knew that I wanted and epidural each time...never thought otherwise. This one I'm thinking maybe natural...but I bet I'll chicken out.

Dena-I'm sorry you are starting to feel that end of the line ick. Your tummy is so cute!

Vixen- Have you seen what the company has brought out to replace the travel system you wanted? Sometimes it takes a bit to get the new ones in. You can also search through the company for maybe some smaller specialty baby stores that have it. You may have to pay a shipping fee to get it though.

Martha--- sending you contractions...LOL

Well, I got the JCP order. I love these shorts but they seem kinda big. I got a 1x, so for those that need some room they should be great!

http://www4.jcpenney.com/jcp/Products.aspx?DeptID=597&CatID=25002&CatTyp=DEP&It emTyp=G&GrpTyp=SIZ&ItemID=0b070ba&ProdSeq=7&Cat=sh orts&Dep=&PCat=maternity+speci&PCatID=13458&RefPag e=ProductList&Sale=&ProdCount=11&RecPtr=&ShowMenu= &TTYP=&ShopBy=13458

I got some of the cotton stretchy ones, the cargo khakis and a white v-neck T.

very happy!

My prenatals do have iron in them, I can't seem to find anything with out. I will definately take them at night from now on, that idea never crossed my mind. Thanks everyone.
Saltire - I hope the doctor gives you some postivie information soon. I know from experience that when that happens , you can't think of anything else and just want someone to tell you a reason and that everything will be fine. You are in my thoughts.
Becca- Thanks for the advice too. I likely am overtired although many nights I am ready to hit the sack at 9pm (or earlier) for some reason

Hey Friendship...Nope, I didn't call last night. Maybe I will call on lunch today. I should be taking that shortly.

I guess I should probably let myself go naturally. I just would feel bad if my mother missed anything. She wants to spend two weeks with me after the baby comes, but she also wants to be here for the birth so if she comes down for my due date and I happen to go late then she misses time with me and the baby after she is born. Oh, decisions. Why can't pregnancy be precise!?!?

Hello, ladies!

Martha--Good luck!

Mandy--I am so happy to hear that Spencer continues to do well.

Dena--Great belly pic. Sorry your feet are so swollen.

Vixen--Hope the 3D goes well.

Amy--Sorry about the phone situation. I hope it gets worked out soon.

vjfreddi--Welcome!

Saltire--Thinking of you . I really hate the unknown. I wish I could help you.

gilbabe75--Hope the shorts work out.

Hello to everyone else.

Thanks so much for siding with me the other day after DH's comments. I know that he isn't as excited (hmmm, that's not quite the right word) about this, and that he doesn't really know what is going on but he really hurt my feelings.

My period is unoffcially 1 day late. Of couse, I've only had 1 TOM since I went off the pill so I don't have a lot of data as to how long my cycles are. I was on the pill since I was 15, and I don't even remember TOM before that. I have no idea how long my cycles were. But I don't think I ever had super long cycles. I am going to give it another week or so and then test.

Wow, someone came in here with a huge problem and I have been talking to them for 30 minutes. The good news is that it is time for lunch.
