Any Post-Pregnancy LC women out there?

I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on 1/22/05. I started low carbing on 3/5/05. I feel as if I'm losing slow....which isn't a bad thing. I am exhausted from being up at night with the little one and being back to work full time.

My exercise has not been consistent, and I know that must change.

Any new Moms out there I can buddy with?

Congrats on your new little one and

Your body has just gone through some SERIOUS changes and has some serious horomones so from personal experience (my daughter is 2) give it 6 months at least.....don't expect anything drastic before then...I know for me it took that long before I could consistantly loose......actually more like 8 months but I actually began feeling like my old self at about 6.....

Take it easy and enjoy your precious baby, they grow soooooo fast!!!!!!!

If you check out the maintain lane forum, you'll find threads on pregnancy, as well as moms trying to lose the baby fat.

Good luck - I'll be in your shoes soon!

welcome, what Kaillean said. I think the Losing the Baby Fat thread is on the Challenge board though.

Just wanted to say congratulations on the birth of your baby! My youngest is 16, but I used the baby fat excuse for 14 years, ha ha. Hang in there - it gets easier. When your baby starts sleeping more and you're able to get more rest you'll find it easier to lose.

Hi there - good luck! My baby is 18 mos old now, but I started when he was just about 3 months old, and lost pretty well, all things considered! I've been at this now for 15 months and am still going strong.

Welcome! I gave birth to my third 9/27/04. It's coming off much more slowly this time!!

The "Losin' the Baby Fat" group is on the challenges page. They're a really nice bunch of women - I just didn't have time to keep up with them (they are very chatty)

Good luck to you!!

Hey, you can come join us on the "Losin' the Baby Fat" thread. Some days we are very chatty and some days we are not. But, you shouldn't feel like you can't keep up with all of us and our personals.

I'm with you, my latest baby is 9 months & it took me until last month to get my "diet" groove back. And, that was when TOM returned too.
I'm nursing & doing what I'd call modified Atkins-cut my carbs down low (I researched this & decided for me & mine it'd be fine to cont), but I do consume some caffeine.
