Not much new here.... thank gawd!! Trying to sort through all the gifts and figure out what needs to be returned. Working on the thank you notes, did I ever post a pic of what I made?? Forgot who asked about nursery pis, yesterday I think it was Kaillean. Here is what i have for Payton's room although everything is in there i still need to do all of the decorative final touches. After it is all purrty I will post some actual photos of the room.

a bit of a sneak peek of the room... need to get the dust ruffle on..

Morning Chelsea! Love the pictures. Can't wait to see the finished room!!!

I'm going to go hop in the shower and prepare for my last full time day at work in the corporate world (for at least a few years).....I'm actually a little sad over it all.....reality kicking in again.

I went to bed early last night....I was in bed for about 10 hours.....some of it sleeping....anyway...my back hurts much less. I wonder if the baby moved off my spine or tailbone some. He or she feels higher today. I guess there is something to be said about resting in the last trimester. DOH!

I'm feeling much better so far. I will try to catch up with everyone when I get into work.

Thank you for being so supportive!!

Morning all. Just stopping in before I get some breakfast. Chels, that crib is really cute.

GJ glad your back pain is less today and your feeling better.

Last night I dreamed I had a baby boy, I know that means nothing but in the dream I was like "damn I should have picked out a boys name" as all I have is 1 girls name I love. But we got a couple of months.lol

Ok be back in here later, food is calling.

Greetings ladies... congratulations Dar!!!

Had my monthly appt yesterday - all seems well. 2nd 1-hour GTT came back normal but close (138, they go the 3 hour at 140). No anemia, blood pressure was staying normal (112/68) and Charlotte's heartrate was 140. Now I head into the every 2 weeks check ups.

Chelsea - really cute nursery stuff!! Payton is gonna love it!

Dena - ((hugs)) I think I would have mixed feelings too about leaving work for a few years. I think I'll try your 10 hours in bed trick tomorrow. My back has been killing me lately.

Saltire -- /wave. I've had some of the funkiest pg dreams. I wish I had kept a journal of some of them. They were so whacked out I can't even imagine how I conconcted them in my head.

TGIF everyone!! I think I'm going to go celebrate at starbucks with an iced decaf sugar free vanilla latte. This week just wouldn't end!

Meg

PS: I started my prenatal water aerobics this week. AWESOME class! I feel soooo good in the water and I definitely slept much better. Yeah exercise!

Good morning ladies!!

Dena-I'm glad you rested.

Chels-Cool stuff!

Chrissy- Take it easy and don't worry too much LOL You have PLENTY of time for names. What is DHs name?? Is it more common? Or more exotic?

Meg- I'm so glad you love your water aerobics class! I was going to take one at the YMCA, but for some reason....The hot chlorine stinky indoor pool there makes me nauseous. We had swim lessons for the kids when I was first PG and it turned me off so bad.

I'm more awake today then I have been all week. I actually went to bed by 10:30 and although I slept like crap...I guess I'm somewhat more rested. Having the roman shades gone off the front of my house is helping. LOL I have 4 windows 29 x 73 that are uncovered and letting all the light in! Yippee!! But now I see, they need cleaning. LOL

DH was supposed to have off today...he is taking DD to work with him for a few hours. I will have about 3 hrs TO MYSELF while DS is in kindergarten!! Yippee!!

Going to eat crabs tonight. DH was raised on MD blue crabs. That was actually our first date. LOL LOVE 'EM!

Nope, not planning a water birth, BUT I do plan to labor in the tub to the extent possible. Our hospital/birthing center (combo) has nice big tubs for labor but I think they make you get out for actual birth. Next time around I might go for the water birth.

Do you think you want to use a name that already exists or try to combine some names to come up with a new one?

My GF is Vietnamese and her DH is American. Her son has an American first name and Vietnamese middle name.....Brandon Huy.

We will have a Scottish first name middle of the road middle name and asian last name. I really want to bring in both heritages for the baby, the asian and scottish influence. But since our last name is asian and spelled strange I have to be careful they don't clash. I love the name Brandon but his family already has 2 brandons, dammit.LOL

So how are you feeling today GJ?

Much better...I think...it's been an emotional roller coaster ride. I think there are some advantages to having children at a younger age....I think you jump into it more fearless and just go for it....me.....I OVER ANALYZE everything.

We are in the phase now of worrying how our relationship will change as husband and wife now that we are also mother and father. I think a child should enhance a family, but not our lives should not revolve around the child where we lose our own identities.....I imagine when they are newborn, it's a little different as far as revolving...etc....sorry for rambling. I didn't mean to get into all of that...

Physically, I feel pretty good today!

How are you feeling? Sick yet?

Dena: It will change your life completely, but there's no reason why you should have everything revolving around your child. You still make "couple time". I know for Mason and I it has brought us even closer.

I'm glad your back pain is better!

Dena ~ Wow what a milestone, I can see where it would be a bittersweet day for you. Just think how nice it will be NOT commuting or having to trudge through the parking lot... and finally all the time you will have with your little one!!

Saltire ~ I had a boy dream that was really weird before I knew we where having a boy. Every one including my husband was sure we where having a girl.

Meg ~ A big Woo Hoo on passing the test, I failed with a 143. But I think it *may* have had something to do with the OJ that my stupid head drank a few hrs before...LOL

Becca ~ Enjoy your 3 hrs of "you" time!!

**Waves** to Sarah.... do you post know if Suzanne post anywhere I had a question for her.

Heather, where are you?? Pop in and lets us know how things are!!

Slept like pooh last night just couldn't get comfy, guess i will take a nap this afternoon. Made an appt for a massage at 4 today.. woooo hhhoooo. Want to get a pedi also but they really did a number on my big toe with the last one so I think I will have to wait. Still planning on going in for an "overhaul" the last week of April...LOL. Hope everyone is having a great friday, any big plans for the weekend???

xoxo Chelsea

Hello ladies. Friday is here at last.

Chels--love the nursery pics. What color are the walls? They look like a medium blue on my screen......it looks relaxing.

Dena--Wow, last full day of work! You are getting so close.

saltire884--We only have a boy name picked out.....of course we have even more time to think about that than you do!

Vixen--Glad you like the new midwife!!!!

Hello to everyone else.

I am going to see my best friend this weekend. Her little girl, Emma, is 8 months old. I haven't seen her for almost 2 months, so I can't wait to see how much she's grown. I am absolutely in love with Emma. She is actually the one who changed my mind about ever having a child.

Almost lunch time. I really wish it was 5pm.

Jonathan and I have been talking about it....I told him that he made me want to be a better person so I felt this baby would make us be a better couple.

Sounds good in theory.

Louise - I was thinking about you last night. You have been so sweet and supportive to everyone on the board....I'm really looking forward to your time! I hope it is sooner than later.

Morning girls,

No sign of Heather? Is this good news maybe???

Becca and Dena -- so glad you both seem to be in better spirits today. Amazing what a decent night's rest can do. And three whole hours to yourself, Becca! Woo hoo! Hope you have a good last day at work, Dena. Your feelings are totally understandable. You're about to make a very big adjustment. I'm glad you're not as uncomfortable today.

Chelsea -- thanks for the photos! Your nursery is going to be so nice. Can't wait to see it when you're done.

Meg - I love water aerobics too, even when I'm not pregnant. I used to take the deep water ones - what a great workout. I love being in the water. Glad you passed your GTT.

Hi Louise, Sarah and Chrissy -- and everyone else who is lurking today!

Today is my turn to feel yucky. I ate dinner too late and I feel like I have a 10 lb pork chop sitting in my gut! Plus it's another day where things are going in, but nothin' is comin' out! At least I'm not barfing yet.

Plus last night I suddenly had this panic moment -- what the hell am I doing? Do I really want to have a baby!? I'm excited again this morning, but really felt blue last night. Tell me that's normal and I'm not going to be a bad mom.

It's not helping that I've been so consumed with all things baby I have let my work pile up on me, and now I have a ton to do before my trip on April 20. I have two big projects that I have promised for Monday, so guess what I am doing this weekend. I'm just feeling a little blah and sorry for myself.

I'm a terrible procrastinator at the best of times. But now I really feel the pressure to get myself into some sort of system and not wait until the last minute to do things. That's fine when there's only me and DH to worry about. But if I don't get my act together, I'm never going to be able to juggle work and a new baby.

So why am I online, when I should be working.....good question....

Kalliean: That is totally normal. DH and I tried to get pregnant for 10 months before if finally happened. It was all I wanted in the world. Then I got pregnant and FREAKED. I was so scared and I was afraid I was going to be the worst mom. It happens to all of us. *hugs*

Would you guys believe that my 3 hrs of quiet time was spent in the ER with my little sis?? She had her wisdom teeth out today and she passed out at home and DBF had to call the ambulance. She is fine, but her body doesn't take well to any kind of trauma. It just shuts down. So...no ME time. But that is okay! She is 15 mos younger than me and we call her the "runt." She is 5'5" and about 100lbs soaking wet. Me and my older sis are curvy gals.

Kaillean- be careful about continuing to eat when you are constipated. You can get really icky feeling. Ummm, can you stomach prune juice daily? Or pineapple? Strawberries? Something fiber rich?

Well girls, I just got back from my appt and she stripped my membranes (that sounds so weird!) anyway, I've been having pretty strong and regular contractions, so I will check back in hopefully Sunday or Monday after we get home from the hospital!

Thanks Sarah - my little panic moment kind of freaked me out. I saw my life as I know it fizzle before my eyes and got an attack of cold feet. I'm better now...I think.

Heather -- ouch, does that hurt? Sure sounds like it! Woohoo - you're so close now. Good luck!!

Becca -- so much for your me time. What a drag! But I'm glad your sis is okay. It's nice you have family close. Sorry to keep going on about my plugged up issues! It really sucks, though. I did have a big serving of berries this morning with yogurt. I was eyeing the prunes at the grocery store yesterday. I should have bought them. I can't not eat though because I get super hungry and then I feel sick if I don't eat right away. I've got some Fiber Plus Wasa bread, so I'll try that. And another dose of Metamucil, I guess. What a bummer! (no pun intended). Ha Ha.

Hi all I got my results back from bloodwork I had ran. All is good. I had some bleeding on tuesday and was diagnosed as a threatened miscarriage as my hcg levels were low. That is why I had been AWOL the last few days. Yesterday I went for bloodwork and I got the results today. My levels have more than doubled which is a big YAY but my pregesterone is low so I am on pregesterone tabs twice daily until 12 weeks. I am also on restricted movement, no work or exercise just taking it easy. But the news is good.
