Morning Mommies

Dar, not sure about the on and off days--definitely periods, but usually not an entire day. I've been feeling mild period like cramps when I'm laying in bed or sitting quietly. Otherwise, lots of BH. I'm ready to get it over!
I do have one friend here I met on LCF, but she's in the states with her sis--who just had a baby...want to exchange emails? I love your colors!

Salty, we are still working on a name. We have a list that we like, but it's been difficult--since hubby wants something Swedish and I want something Preppy. We're pretty set on Harold (both our grandfather's names) as the middle, and I like Logan the best. Second is David. Our last name is Lindstrom, somehow Logan Lindstrom just has a good ring to it...but it's not the least bit Swedish, and DH says he can't "identify" with it--I have no idea what that means!

Jeffiner, my DH has gained weight right along with me--he even has a belly! His snoring is definitely worse, and sometimes keeps me up at night too...really annoying!

Smiley, I bought panties at Layne Bryant too. I grew into them and now they're a little tight, which I like, they hold my belly a little...however, I still wear my regular old Victorias Secret ones too, but sometimes they roll down on me

Karingreen, I lost 10 lbs in my first tri. I simply had no appetite...nothing sounded good, but when I did finally eat something, it was OK.

Kaillean, I hope things get moving for you...I really don't have much to add...Becca gave you some good advice

Sarah, how's mommy-hood? Are you exhausted?

Tammara, I'm 36--will be 37 in a week or so. I had a level II u/s to look for downs, but my risk dropped from 1/170 or something to 1/700ish...so I skipped the quad screen due to false positives and the amnio b/c I didn't want to risk another m/c. I just read an article in a UK pregnancy mag about Downs babies--and it almost made me wish for one! I'll see if I can find a link, maybe the article is online.

Well, doesn't look like the downs article is online. This is my favorite mag, though--highly reccomended--even if your'e in the US.

Heather, how are you feeling?

Meeting with the back up doula today...been making casseroles for the freezer with mom and playing the waiting game. Nothing much going on here.

My nights are becoming horrible. Lastnight I swore my water was going to break. I got up to use the bathroom and the pressure was unbelievable! It's so hard to get up anymore, my uterus hurts so much. I'm starting to feel like all I do is complain .
I'm taking ds to drop-off playgroup and will have 3 hours to putz around. I think I'll stop at a baby store and maybe do a few groceries. It doesn't really pay for me to come all the way home with gas being 2.30 a gallon !

Oh, does anyone have any interest in silvery jewlery? I found an awesome site that has some nice jewlery on it SUPER CHEAP!! Let me know and I'll post it later.

Dar~ I just wanted to tell you good luck tomorrow. I will be thinking about you. I hope the breastfeeding goes ok. Just remember that it isn't as easy as you would think. It takes a lot of determination to make it in the first couple of days. I wish you the best. Take it easy and let everyone around you help you out. Your job is to feed the baby and sleep when she sleeps.

Okay, sorry for this drive by girls...don't have time for personals, but I just need to vent for a minute.

I was so excited. I got home and all the maternity cloths I bought were there. Well, my happiness soon turned to tears. I look like a frick'n idiot in all the cloths. And it isn't because they are the wrong size or cut or anything, its that my top roll is so f-ing big when I put the shirts on it just hangs there and in NO WAY makes me look pregnant. They all just make me look F-A-T! Even with the over the tummy pants, I just look stupid. Well, then DH made the bad choice to agree with me, which put me into hysterics that I was a fat cow and no one even knows that I am pregnant...they all just think I am fatter than ever. So, then I was grumpy about everything about my husband...how he hasn't helped packing, how he didn't take the trash out quick enough, he wouldn't come to bed...then this morning he wouldn't get out of bed. So, I spent most of the morning crying, especially after I put on my regular cloths and realized I looked sloppy and fat in them.

Sorry to rant and rave I am just so, so, so sad. It's every little girls dream to have that round belly, and I believe I am never going to have it. I am always going to have this dent and nothing I wear will disquise it.

Not to mention I don't have the money to go to those maternity stores...so I have to cross my fingers that Fashion Bug will have something if I go in person. And I will try the Mimi Maternity that has plus sized cloths...I just hope they aren't too expensive.

Okay, the pity fest is over now...but I am still sad today.

Thanks Louise, Sarah and Dar. I am just feeling down. I am not going to bother posting pictures. Because no matter what anyone says, I am not comfortable in any of the cloths. I do have one shirt that is more flowy and ties in the back that I think looks okay. I am going to see if I can find more like that. I think I am going to start wearing the pants though, because these regular pants are KILLING ME!!

Sorry to bring everyone down and boo hoo hoo about this stupid thing.

Amy, I was the same way! I'm not sure when it happened, maybe around the beginning of the 8th month, if you count pregnancy as being 10 months long, but now I definitely look preggers. I'm wearing larger elastic waist pants, that I can (don't laugh...well, go ahead, it's pretty darned funny!) pull right up to under my boobies, and my regular shirts (knit) on top. The shirts are pretty tight around my middle and really accentuate my belly. You'll get there. I know it's hard waiting, though.

Sarah, glad to hear things are getting easier! Awesome new photos, I love the black and whites!

Dar, I emailed you, and just wanted to wish you all the luck tomorrow! I can't wait to see pics of your little sweetie and hear all about it!

The back up doula was a bust, we'll have to find another one. We didn't have much of a connection, but the clincher was her ending the conversation by vehemently dissagreeing with me about circumcision and not letting it go. It was totally uncalled for...so we'll have to meet another. Boy, I hope Katarina, our origional, doesn't get sick!

Otherwise, I'm beginning to wonder if something is brewing in my uterus...I've had a bit of diareahha (God, I can't spell!) the past few days for no real reason, and now sitting here my tummy is going crazy...sort of like BH that are feeling stronger with some discomfort--not too much though.

AMY - Believe me... It will happen! Could you find any shirts or dresses with an empire waist? That always helped me feel more pregnant than fat.

MARTHA - I've heard that diarrhea was a symptom of upcoming labor... Your body's natural way of cleansing itself, yaknow? MAYBE!!!!

SARAH - I can't get enough of that boy!

Went to Wal-Mart this morning to get Anna a few birthday presents... I got her a potty (just to let her get a feel for it... No hurries. I did the same with Allison and got her trained before 18 months... Maybe I'll get lucky again! ), a motorcycle thing that goes from a rocker to a push motorcycle, to a pedeled motorcycle. (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/prod...012231186202498) Dang... Now I see there's a girl version at Toys R Us... Might have to return the first one... We shall see. I also got her some musical toys and clothes. Not too much, but enough so that if I go into labor today (or anytime before her birthday... LOL...) I'll have this part done.

Martha ~ 8 months!! I am only going to be 6 next week!! The other reason I am rushing this whole maternity thing is that I don't have any spring/summer cloths that fit me and I don't have the money to go buy "normal" cloths and then in a month buy maternity. I guess I will just go shopping this weekend and hope I can find a few things. Otherwise I am stuck.

Martha....things are starting to get going. Diarrhea is a sign of labor, the pressure from the baby causes it. I bit of indigestion is a sign too. I bet you will be having this baby really soon!

Dar- Let down is when you body kinda "lets go" of the milk. Kinda like a gush. When you are in the hospital..ask the LC about growth spurts too. Very important to know especially when BFing. Sorry your visit was so long.

SmileyAmy-Your belly will pop out. I look pregnant now at 28 wks but still think I just look fat. Don't worry...I'm sure the maternity clothes look great and you should wear them. Tight clothes will only make you uncomfortable. Mimi is the more expensive version of Motherhood but most stores carry both.

{{{hugs}}} Amy, I know EXACTLY how you feel! I still have a few outfits that I don't think I look pregnant in... right now try to find something that fits comfortably and the *look* will come along... one day you'll get dressed and look in the mirror and you'll be shocked!!! Even now I have days where I think I don't look pregnant, but then a STRANGER commented to me that it looked like I was "knocked up"! I wanted to kiss him!

What helps me look more pregnant is pants that have the fully belly panel... I pull it up as far as it goes (have to anyway or else the pants will fall off) and I've found it helps round out the different belly lumps and made everything looks more round... it really does help too if you get shirts that tie right under your boobs, or empire waist shirts... and when you walk around put your hand on the top of your belly, it'll push the shirt in more at the top and accentuate the belly, forcing it to look more preggo.

Where did you buy your clothes from? Online, right? (sounds like it) Can you post pictures from the website?

Hi ladies. Just wanted to pop in really quick and let you know I'm still around. Dr. C just stopped in and said Spencer's growth is pretty on target. He weighs 1 lb., 3 oz, which is 1 oz. above what they need to weigh to survive. There are a few pockets of fluid around him, his heart is steady, and he's moving. The doctor said we should continue to be hopeful, so I guess that is good news. Unfortunately, I'm apparantly still leaking fluid since there hasn't been a mass reaccumulation.

Dar, can you believe tomorrow is the day! Be sure to pop in when you feel up to it to let us know how you and Allison are doing.

SmileyAmy, don't get discouraged. One day that belly will pop out and you'll wonder where it came from.

Martha, I bet you're gearing up to go. How exciting!

Sarah, Tanner is precious! I just want to rub his little head, lol.
