MAJOR LCF POSTER!

Hi everyone!
Saltire, My morning sickness was pretty mild. I only threw up once, but it was a major ordeal—all over the dash of my brothers jeep! Haha! Heather, yes, fortunately I do get some American TV—Fox News is my saving grace, CNN is Brittish…and there are lots of programs, but they’re mostly old. Desperate Housewives just started playing here, though, so I’m looking forward to something new! How are you feeling? Kaillean, I had two miscarriages before this one, the first time we waited until we went to my ‘rents for the Holidays, I was about 11 weeks—the word spread fast, and I m/c’d at 12 weeks. The second time, we told our parents/siblings right away, but asked them to not spread the word—m./c’d at 6 ½ weeks. This time we told family right away, I’d rather have the support. I don’t think I’d do anything differently, other than keeping Mom a little more quiet than the first time. We had a Christmas/Wedding party the day after the m/c and all sorts of people were congratulating me on the pregnancy—that sucked. Yeah, it’s true about the poached eggs…unless you’re absolutely sure your eggs are safe—which I never am. I am so looking forward to eggs benedict the day after delivery! And real Ceasar Salad! My mom was going to bring English muffins (they don’t exist here) but my dad ate them! Louise, any news? Good luck! Ali, sounds like a great sale! Dena, did you eat eggplant parm? I’m starting to think about those things too! Heather, can you post that recipe? It sounds great! *labor vibes* for you! Meg, welcome back! Dar, 2 days!! Oh my gosh! We had a nice weekend with my Mom. Sat outside in the sun, caught up on things and grilled a nice dinner yesterday. Probably do some yard work today and go check out the Swedish pharmacy—that should be an adventure. Nothing really happening with me, I pee a lot and often feel period type crampy in my lower abdomen after I get up at night. I have no idea if that means anything. Hope everyone has a great day! |

Mornin' Martha! Do you have some 'off days' and some 'on days'? What I mean is, like yesterday, I just felt 'off'. Nothing felt right. My bladder felt like it was the size of a thimble.. I'd pee, then immediately have the urge to pee again. Sit down.. nothing happening. I was also having BH most of the day and just didn't feel right. Days like that make me afraid I'll go into labor.. especially when DH was an hour away on a golf course in the middle of nowhere (i.e. no cell tower).
I went this morning for pre-op bloodwork, and go to the hospital this afternoon for some kinds of tests and such. I'm supposed to meet with the anesthesiologist, but I'm not sure what else they'll do that will take up about two hours! Martha/Heather, do you have your "exit buddy"? I wonder, Martha, are there any LCF members near you that you could swap numbers with and they could post for your when you go into labor? Heather, how about you? I have Chelle's number, and I planned to call her to let everyone know how things go Wednesday. ALL I have to do at work today is make some phone calls to some utility companies. That's ALL that is left on my plate! Woo! I have no clue what I'll do tomorrow.. try to get a free lunch out of someone. ![]() BBL! |

Morning all. Marthad, glad to know you were only sick once, I have yet to feel sick so fingers crossed it stays away.
Dar, how are you doing? not long to go now. I am pretty sure you could get lunch out of anyone. This weekend my neice emailed me with baby names to add to my list.LOL...Anyone got names picked out yet or are they secret until the baby is born? |

Hey, Chrissy, I'm doing okay. Just nervous/excited/terrified/relieved all thrown together. Trying to stay as calm as I can while everyone at work drives me NUTS.
![]() And yes, TiVo is already set to record LOST! Not to worry! We are going with the name Alizon Rozeta. DH picked out Alison cause he liked it. Rozeta is a Polish word for rose or rosette (I'm 1/2 Polish). We had lots of other middle names we tossed around (like Brygida.. another Polish name, Marie, Elizabeth), but Alison has been the first name for a while. For a boy's name, we had Jason Dennis picked out. Again, DH just liked the name Jason, and Dennis is his father's name. We found girl's names MUCH harder than boy's. So many names are TOO girly, or would remind us of someone we don't particularly like! I went through all of my genealogy.. back a couple hundred years, to try to find names, but had no luck. They had some strange names back then! Rose was in there a couple times, though. And my great-grandmother on my Mom's side (which is my Polish heritage) was called Rose. I'm not sure what her name was actually in Poland, since many of them had to change their names when they came to the US, including last names which were typically shortened. It's harder than it seems, to me, picking a name. Glad you're getting a head start! And I'm glad to hear you have had no sickness yet. Hopefully that luck keeps up! |

That is a really pretty name. My problem with names is that my DH being asian we have a strange spelled asian surname which alot of names wont go with. grrr.lol...Is it you with the dog named Ceana?

Yep, it's spelled Caena, actually. Pronounced Kay-na. How the heck did you remember that?!?!?! LOL...
ETA: You'd be the perfect person to ask... she has open sores on her pads from running around a concrete pool deck for 2 hours yesterday. I guess she got blisters and they opened. I have Neosporin, but of course she licks it off. I was going to stop on the way home to pick up some gauze to wrap them in to keep her from licking. How long should I keep them wrapped? A day or two? Should I even bother with that? She seems to be in pain when she walks. I was relieved, honestly, to see it was just her feet. I was worried she hurt a hip she was walking so gingerly. I remembered because it is a gaelic name. I am looking at gaelic names for the baby, caena or ceana is scottish/irish gaelic.
For her pads, let them breathe. When you put neosporin on you can wrap it for a day or until the medicine has soaked in. When her feet are wrapped don't let the gauze get too wet either from outside or from licking, and if you can kennel her or keep her as still as possible to avoid pressure on the pads. It should hopefully heal on its own, just make sure it is clean at all times.

DAR - WOW! Only two more days! Although, I have to warn you about girls named Alison... LOL!
![]() ![]() ![]() MARTHA - I didn't realize you'd had two miscarriages! Slap me if I offend, but I bet it almost makes this baby that much more wanted. I can't imagine that kind of loss. CHRISSY - Our little boy will be Ezra Franklin. I've always liked the name Ezra, and was really surprised that Hank liked it too, because when I was pregnant with Anna, we could NOT agree on a boy name. We'd even thought about Damien Ezra, but so many people were freaked out by the name Damien (from the Omen, I guess... I can't find any evil meaning to it...), that I decided against it. Not many people like Ezra either, but that's okay. And Franklin is my uncle's first name. It's also my grandpa and great grandpa's name too. Well girls, Hank almost died last night. I almost murdered him. GAH! LOL! He was snoring so loud. I'd nudge him, and tell him to roll over, and he would. Then ten minutes later he was on his back again... SNORING! I've got to get back on plan to get him on plan. Small portions, low calorie, low carb, whatever it takes. I love him, and I'm always attracted to him, but this snoring thing is definitely weight related. He never used to snore. And we're both at our heaviest.

Ok, great, thanks!
Here's where I found her name... well, that is, I found the name and then we butchered it by accidentally mis-spelling and mis-pronouncing it. It is supposed to be pronounced like Kenna, I think, but I misread and we liked it so it stuck. I actually found later that there is a Cornish saint Caena.Border Collie Museum I know it's a site for dog names, but there might be some in there you'd like. |

Hello ladies. It was a beautiful weekend here! We didn't get much done though. I had a great nap yesterday
.Marthad--Thanks for thinking of me. I can't decide if I'll test or just wait for TOM to show up. Dar--I can't believe how close you are! Sorry about your dog's feet. I hope they heal quickly. saltire884--Hello! We do have a boy name sort of picked out for a boy--Isaac Joseph. Isaac is DH's middle name. Joseph is my Dad's and Grandad's middle name. We are undecided on a girl. Of course, we have a long way before we need a name! gilbabe75--Hey there. Hope you have a great day! I just noticed that your due date is one day before my DH's birthday. Jefinner--Sorry about the snoring issues . DH and I haven't been LCing too well lately, and last night his snoring was awful. It started before I even fell asleep. We need to get back on plan ASAP!I purchased Taking Charge of Your Fertility on Friday. I haven't read it yet, but I have thumbed through it. I really don't want to go back on the pill EVER, so I am thinking this might help us in the long run too as a method of birth control. I am starting to think this cycle is a bust. I feel like I'd "know" by now if I were pregnant. I don't know how I'd know, but I feel like I would. My work is piling up on me . Guess I need to get back to it.louise |

{{{Louise}}} I don't think any cycle.. whether is 'productive' or not.. is a bust. Every month and day we learn more and more about our bodies. I know it's frustrating when folks get pregnant so easily, but it will happen! How many days DPO are you? Do you know?

Hi gals! There is nothing worse than a cloudy, chilly Monday, that just happens to be after daylight savings - plus it is busy at work because of quarter end. Don't plan on me posting a lot this week. I will probably just be lurking.
Dar ~ I can't believe just two more days!! Refresh my memory...why are you having a scheduled induction? I can't remember. Louise ~ The book is really helpful. And, to tell you the truth, I didn't read it from cover to cover. You will know what sections you need to read. Saltire ~ Yeah on no m/s!! Hopefully that keeps going. As you can see in my siggy I picked Sara Elizabeth. Elizabeth is a family name and I just liked Sara. Ladies - remember when I said that I couldn't for the life of me decide on a boys name? Well, I have found one I love!! Now I keep telling DH that we need to have a son so I can use my name. I watch Summerland and the oldest boy on there's name is Braden. So, I/we have decided on Braden Ryder if we ever have a boy - or if the doctor made a mistake with Sara. So, my tummy just feels like a bowling ball is sitting way down low today. I thought that wouldn't happen 'till later. I just have a lot of pressure. Also, with regards to siatic nerves...I have been getting these sharp quick pains that radiate from my left lower back down into my butt cheek. Is that siatic?? Or is it just a regular old pain in the A$$?? LOL I also, definitly am feeling Sara everyday. Mostly at night after I get home and am relaxing - but sometimes at work. It feels funny. And it is really low and it sort of radiates into my crotch. It is like that gassy fluttery feeling. I assume it's her. Well, I will try to pop back later. If I missed anything...SORRY.

thanks, Dar. I am either about 12 DPO or 7 DPO or it hasn't happened yet
. This cycle was just a 'let's do it a lot and see what happens' type thing. Next cycle we get serious. Not to set a time limit on it, but we really are shooting for June or July to conceive. I'd really like a spring baby. |

LOL, Louise. I like that approach.
We tried that last April, and that's when I discovered I never actually ovulated. So, in the end, the timing was perfect. We conceived in July and that was great considering summer down here.Amy, I'm having a c-section, not an induction. The reasoning is that my pelvis has not opened, and my dr. does not feel that a vaginal delivery would be possible for me without lots of stress or the risk of worse problems. |

just popping in to say hello to everyone. It is a beautiful spring day here in FL, I have already went on a short walk with 3 of my kids. I am thinking of going out with the kids and laying on a blanket and just reading to them it is just to pretty to be in the house.
How many pounds did all of you gain in your first tri (approx 13 weeks)? Do any of you walk or excercise regularly? I better go, the kids are not doing there school so I need to get them going or at least go read to them on the blanket. I will pop in later. Have a great day! I think that it is Dar, and Marth that is having babies next I cant't wait to here about the births. Good Luck |

Hey ladies...
Karin...I lost weight in my first tri with this one. Gained about 5 lbs with my other 2. I have gained about 15 lbs total now and I'm 28 weeks. I gained much much more with my first and second. Darlene...Not much longer...we will miss ya around here! Louise...If you wanna test...test...might not prove a thing but if you feel better do it. I did when trying for my first. I should have owned stock in HPTs and OvulPred tests! SmileyAmy-So glad you feel her now!! Is it still creeping you out or getting better? The movements and position will change too. You might notice your "buldge" is high one day and low another...usually sticks that way for days or weeks, sometimes not. Jeffiner-not too much longer and you can go back on induction or something. Get DH to do it with you. My DH snores and it has been getting worse lately. LOL Chrissy! Love your quote in your siggy. DH and you are such a hot couple!! I'm sure baby will be gorgeous!! Names are hard. Are you going for more of an american first name or something more traditional from his family. Maybe a simpler first name if your last name is complex. DH and I have had a lot of trouble finding a name for this little boy. I won't call him by it until he is born (weird superstitious thing with me) but he will be Elijah Luke. We will either call him Eli or Luke, not sure. Girls names were to be Hannah Grace or Cora Grace. My kids now are Jacob Joseph and Alyssa Diana. Their middle names are my parents names. Martha- I wasn't aware of your troubles carrying your babies either. I'm so sorry you went thru that. You are a brave and strong Mommy! Oh Amy, the sciatic nerve thing. It is a nerve that goes across your butt from your lower back down the back of your leg. Mine is a right side thing lately. I feel like I need to permanantly tie my toes up toward the ceiling to stretch it out. I was trying to think of a tip for the day but haven't come up with much. Breastfeeding/pumping tidbit When breastfeeding, once your milk comes in you may be feeding from one breast and the other will begin to leak. This happens during let down. Best to keep a nursing bra on use nursing pads to soak up the excess. Also, when you begin nursing in the days after delivery...you will feel sometimes severe cramping of your uterus when nursing. This is normal. Nursing helps stimulate the uterus to contract and shrink back to its original size plus expel Lochia. Make sure you expect this when you nurse and have fresh sanitary pads available. This is another benefit for you of nursing. Helps your body get things cleaned up quickly! If you are planning to pump. Remember that pumping and actually nursing are not the same. With a pump, you have to be able to completely relax and be able to allow the milk to let down. You will get a small amount and then should be able to get a gush. If you are pumping one side...you may have leakage (pretty big amt) from the other side as well. Being able to relax and pump is not easy unless you are calm and quiet. I tried with my 3 yo son running around when DD was born and failed...I could not relax. I relate let down to having an orgasam. Takes relaxation and concentration. LOL

Becca ~ So do you think what I have is siatic?? Also, the movement doens't necessarily freak me out...I just think it feels funny. Kinda uncomfortable in a way. I am sure I will get used to it. And re: seeing a bulge...my stomach is already a big bulge...but not due to baby.
Oh, I went looking for maternity undies this weekend and can't find any in my size!! I am like an 18/20 in my pants and even Sears didn't go up high enough. I am thinking of just going to buy some low rise underware from Lane Bryant. Do you think that will work?? ![]() |

Morning everyone!
So we went to visit the inlaws this weekend, and spilled the beans. I also called my mom to let her know. Everyone is very happy and SHOCKED because they had all given up on us ever having kids! Martha -- I decided I would want the support too, if something terrible happens. I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. How wonderful that you will soon welcome a little baby at last! Getting close, Dar! And Heather -- are you getting super impatient now!? Becca -- sorry you're still feeling uncomfortable. Must be tough with your other kids needing you, too. I bet somedays you just want to curl up and do nothing! So far, no morning sickness. I have had a few moments here and there of feeling a bit queasy, but they don't last long at all and are minor. Usually only hit first thing in the morning, or when I haven't eaten for a while. So I assume its low blood sugar related. I am craving apples like mad and other fresh stuff. Hope that continues. So far no food aversions. I'm also craving meat and eat really big servings. My only real complaint this early in the game is constipation. It's starting to really annoy me. I'm a regular kind of gal, and in the last week or so I've only had 2 regular BMS and I'm starting to feel very bloated and full. I read this is pretty common. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm already eating tons of veggies. BBL! |

Oh -- one more thing on the m/s...I've read that it is somewhat hereditary. Did you guys find that to be true? My mom said she never had any sickness with her three, so I'm hoping I will also be lucky.
