Becca, I love your daily tips, keep 'em coming. I'd much rather know (even if it's totally gross and horrible! ) about the possiblity of such things, rather than being surprised!

Heather, did you have any blood when you lost your plug? I agree, don't let them induce you if you don't want it!

Louise, have fun in the yard! I need to do that too, but am going to wait for the snow to melt first

Smiley, I can't imagine what possesed you to wear panty hose!!

Dar, sorry about the work stuff. I don't think it's appropriate either, although some of the things that go on in offices in the financial industry are unbelievable! Some traders once paid a female trader $5000 to suck mayo off a pickle! She proceeded to vomit right there on the trading floor!

Ali, I've been taking iron since December. I don't know what Senna is, though. I haven't had any problems with it...try to take it with OJ or vitamin C, and not dairy. It's pretty common to become a tad anemic. Baby will take all the iron he/she needs first, and Mummy can suffer.

Mandy, thinking and praying for you every day, sweetie! Oh, if you get a chance, I just recieved the April/May issue of Fit Pregnancy and there is a great article on how to cope with bed rest--things to do, a few exercises, etc. Maybe you can pick one up?

Well, looks like another nice day today, so there goes my productivity aside from needlepoint and sunning myself. But, I think a little R&R is a good thing, no? I mean, I might not have a chance for much more...And, I did dust allready, and we're going out for dinner-so I should find time to vacuum this afternoon. Oh, the perils of a housewife!

Hope everyone is well and you have a great weekend!

Good morning Martha - you ready to have that baby yet? Is that what everyone is asking at least? That seems to be a popular question for me.

Morning Ladies,

I'm reposting this from lastnight, I hope no one minds I'm looking for any opinions.

I'm having room issues I think. I have terrible pain at the top of my belly, like 3 inches above my belly button. If I lean against the counter or something it hurts so bad. It feel like a bruise and now when I look in the mirror it looks like a very faint bruise. Do you think it's one of those veins that some get? I don't see any spider web look to it. It's feels like if you get a bruise and keep banging it all the time .

I'm heading out to work for a few hours will BBL. Hope everyone has a good day. I haven't even read this mornings posts.

Alli

Morning, ladies!

That manicure did wonders. I was so grouchy and having BH and just plain miserable on the way, and felt like a new person on the way home. And my hands feel so much better. Hmm.. just in time for the weekend where I KNOW I'll find something to do to make them ache again, I'm sure.

Salty, glad to see you'll stick around. You are something like 6 weeks or so, right?

Alli, thanks for the explanation on the iron. Makes sense! Sorry about the room/bruising issue.

Martha, I definitely think you should enjoy the R&R while you still have the time! That's something I should try to do more often, but I just can never sit still.

Yeah, I am about 6 weeks. I have my first dr's appt today at 11am, which my usual messed up brain thought was tomorrow as I lost a day somewhere this week. How is everyone?

Awesome, good luck at your appt. Like I said last night, hopefully they'll schedule an u/s for you soon so you can see the little bean. It's really amazing every time. Let us know what your due date is when you get back! Is DH going with you?

Well, that's okay. My DH just sat there like a lump for most appointments. The most important ones for him to be at are the ultrasounds and some of the later appointments where you start to discuss delivery methods and such, so he feels more involved. Many men have a tendency to not really feel that it's "real" for awhile. Frustrating, especially when we experience symptoms almost from day 1.

Dena, people are beginning to ask...my parents keep asking if I still fit behind the wheel of a car! How ridiculous is that?! LOL

Ali, I have some similar pain, but I'm pretty sure it's because I keep bumping into stuff with my big belly!

Dar, glad you had a nice mani. You should pamper yourself more!

Salty, congrats, and welcome!

I just went and picked up packages my brother shipped to me from drugstore.com Oh, the fun stuff! All sorts of baby goods and great American stuff--small things make me excited sometimes!

Well, hope everyone has a nice weekend!

My petty morning rant....it has been raining for two days....I work with several thousand people. I can't drive in early or I will fall asleep....so I usually get here about 9:30am which means I have to park in the back which is quite a hike. Anyway, all I can wear on my feet are my sandals....yesterday I decided not to wear the compression stockings because of the rain....I knew I would get my feet wet. I had a horrible time with swelling....I'm not going anywhere anymore without my socks. Well today....raining miserably, I'm hiking in from the parking lot in my sandal and stockings wearing jeans. I am soaked. My feet are soaked, my stockings are soaked, my shoes are soaked and my pants are soaked. What a way to start off the freagin morning! UGH!!!

Whatever.....give me an hour and hopefully I will dry up.

Martha - There is a lady I go to church with that we have known for years.....she's call me "fat girl" and thinks its cute : rolls eyes : The same weekend, my MIL said "I can see your face starting to fill out". Thanks! These people didn't mean anything by it, and I am being super sensitive, but I haven't forgotten about it either.

Alli - Have you mentioned the pain to the doctor yet?

Martha ~ No one told me not to wear pantyhose...I had no idea the pain involved!!

Alli ~ Sorry you are so uncomfortable...as I am new to this I don't have a lot of advice. Just want to offer some hugs.

Saltire ~ Did I miss something? Last I knew you had just decided to try. What happened?? Anyway...congrats and come back and tell us how the dr's went!

Mandy ~ How you doing hun??

Sorry I am so short on personals. It is quarter end at work and I so busy...not to mention the other girl on my team is out today so I have to cover for her too.

Well, I broke down and ordered 5 tops and 3 pairs of pants last night from JCPenny and Fashion Bug. I am going to feel like a fool the first time I wear them. I guess I just don't think I look pregnant. Maybe the cloths will help me look it - although people are already telling me I am showing. So we shall see. I am nervous they aren't going to fit.

Well, I will try to pop back later...busy, busy, busy!

Oh, Dena, that sucks! Why do people have to say such things, ESPECIALLY to a pregnant woman? I absolutely hate it.. and all you can do is smile.

There is one lady at work that I am SOOO ready to strangle. Thank God I only have 2 days of work left. If I hear her say, "it's almost time!" or "you're so close!" in that darn sing-songy voice I WILL strangle her. I'm sure I'd get off pretty easily, too.

::: grumble grumble ::: goes back to eating her Oreo's....

Great, now our department admin just came by and asked about me and said "wow, I can really tell your face is swollen today".

Am I going to explode or something?

OMG.. what is up with people these days?! Did you say anything back to her? I'm at the point now where I don't give a flip, and would have said something. I'm kicking myself for not being a bee-otch back to our resident biznitch. Holy cow, I almost typed snarky...

I agree! They will help with making you feel like you look pregnant. Believe me, they make a world of difference. I was so excited the day I felt justified enough to wear my maternity tops. "Look at me, I really AM pregnant.. not just fat!" Silly, but true.

Thanks Dena and Dar...

I am afraid that it is going to look funny on me. With my rolls and all. I am afraid it is oging to accentuate them. Although, the shirts I tried on that did accentuate them were a tad small...so maybe that is why.

Okay, I really am busy...I NEED to stay away. Yeah, right! LOL

It sucks... People always say the worst things to pregnant woman... Here are a few of my favs...

"Wow, you get bigger every time I see you!"

"You look like you're going to pop!" (Really great when it's said before the end of the pregnancy...)

"You just wake up bigger, don't you?"

And here's the one that really PO'ed me from last week...

"So, you carrying one or two?"

I used to get that DAILY. You can only fake a smile so many days in a row, so I think she gave up.

Why can't they say something a little nicer.. like, "oh, you look so cute today" or simply treat you like a regular person and ask you how your day is?!

I am not kidding, another one of my coworkers just came around the corner and her mouth hit the floor......WTH? I just saw these people all week long. Okay....time to get over it and get out of this funk. Four remarks in one week.....I'm about to have a baby folks.....I'm sure I am fat, swollen and my nose is spreading!! Please don't remind me because my doctor will when I get weighed in!

Okay - no more crying today! Carry on!

And OMGoodness, they are so comfortable too.....why would I want to go back to my old clothes....no screwing around with zippers and buttons!!! Going to the bathroom is such a breeze....and if you overeat, there is plenty of room to spread.

Martha, your pickle/mayo story make ME want to Haha!

Alli, I wish I had some answer for you about the pain. Sounds awful. When is your next appointment?

Saltire, Let us know how the appointment goes!

Amy, I have to say I hate most maternity clothes. I am resisting the pants that go up over the belly cause I hate to have pants that high. I don't know if that will change soon or not.

GoJackets, you have permission to smack those people!

Dar, I ended up banning my husband from my last several appointments. He gets WAY too excited and my blood pressure already spikes just from being at the Doctor's. I don't need him bouncing off the walls. He really lays on the guilt trip too. But he has been there for all ultrasounds and important stuff and he is coming with me this Monday.

Ok, looks like this month we will have babies from Martha, Heather, Dar, and Jefinner. Exciting!

OMG girls...my hands are SO swollen today. They feel so tight.

And, does anyone know if pregnancy will flare up tendinitis? I have it in my right hand and lately it is always sore.

AMY - I don't know about tendonitis, but I had problems with my first and this pregnancy with my hands hurting/falling asleep. Basically, it's pregnancy induced carpel tunnel.
