Ali, Thanks for starting the thread

I hope your little one is feeling better...

Not much new here either. It's been a really nice day, I was able to sit outside and do needlepoint for a couple of hours in the sun. But then I ran around doing laundry and I guess I got overheated. I had to crawl up the stairs and felt like I was going to be sick. I laid down for a bit and got really cold, fell asleep, then felt better when I woke up. I just came from a midwife appt, and she thinks I just over heated a bit and told me no more sun for the day. Otherwise things were fine, the appt took all of 15 minutes. My belly was measuring toward the large end of normal range, but she didn't seem concerned. Baby's dropped, but not all the way, his head can still move around a bit down there.

Sorry I didn't go back and reread yesterdays post...the only personal I remember is:

Dar, we switched our clocks forward last weekend, so now we are 7 hours ahead of New York, until next weekend, I guess we'll be back to 6 hours ahead. So, when it's noon there, it's 6 (or 7)pm here. How are youf eeling?

Kaillen ~ Another big Woo, Hoo!! I got the Girlfriends Guide too. And I also bought a pregnancy week by week book. And then to top it off "Chicken Soup for the Expectant Mothers Soul". Congrats again mommie to be!!

Martha ~ I keep forgetting that you are in a different country. When you said you changed your clocks ahead last weekend I was ready to reply "Oh, no...it isn't until this weekend!!" LOL

Okay...I had a happy realization last night!! I think I am definitly feeling Sara move now. I had been feeling these little fluttery gas feelings the last week and thought it might be her, but still wasn't sure. Well, last night I think I pissed her off...LOL. I was joking around with DH and we were talking about disaplining kids and I started "spanking" my stomach (lightly)...I know, I know...everyone can give me the rolley eyes if they want. Well, I went and sat down all of a sudden I started feeling those fluttery gassy feelings over and over again. I told DH, I think I pissed Sara off...and he was like "Well, yeah...you were spanking her and she didn't even do anything!" It was just funny. So, now I find myself waiting for those feelings again. Although, I hate to say I didn't like the feeling. I mean it was nice to know she was there, but it was weird and I didn't like how it felt. My friends always teased me that when I became pregnant I would be freaking when the baby started moving. One of my best friends was pregnant and my cousin and I wanted NOTHING to do with feeling their belly or looking at it move. It just grossed me out. Hopefully I get used to this feeling.

Just popping in to say HI... I'm flying down to Atlanta for a board meeting in a few hours. I totally dreading getting on a plane today! At least there's a good chance of me getting upgraded to first class.

Kinda silly considering it's only a 1.5 hour flight.

Nothing much to report here... Miss Charlotte has been a little lazy the last few days, but just when I start to get worried she wiggles around. I even got out my doppler to make sure all was well. I'm so glad I rented one!

I'm also starting to wonder when the nesting urge is going to kick in. The only urge I have lately is to call a maid service to get the ball rolling. This place is a mess!

Glad to hear the baby is moving Amy and Meg.

Speaking of moving....late trimester mommies or mommies who have given birth already....did you pay attention to fetal movement much at the end....or worry if it didn't move....or call the doctor.....or just go about your lives...you knew you made it this far and everything was fine??

My baby hasn't been moving much at all the last two days. I think I might have felt him or her....but I also have gas (if you didn't already know that from yesterday)....so what I am feeling is nothing like it was a few days ago. I haven't seen my belly jump like it usually does, the feeling is much lower and much softer....not at all obvious.

I'm trying to read online and get conflicting reports....some say the baby is moving into position and that it is just too cramped....others say you should be doing kick counts and calling the doctor if you don't feel ten or more every few hours.

I'm just curious what your experience has been the last few weeks of your pregnancy.

Meg, on our last trip back from the US, hubby said to the check in guy at the airport, "my big fat pregnant wife can't fit in coach, can you give us a courtesy upgrade, we don't have enough points?" and it worked! Have a safe trip!

Dena, my little guys movements are much different now, they are littler, if that's even a word. It's like he doesn't have as much room anymore. I'm not going to bother with kick counts, that seems too tedious, but if you don't feel him/her at all for, like a day, I'd call...BTW, I hear you on the gas. I can't believe how good it feels to fart, and somehow, the louder and smellier the better! (did I turn into a guy?!

Can't really stay.. was in a meeting and heading to dr. soon... but I wanted to answer Dena. The last few visits, the only instructions the dr. has given to me is to pay attention to movement. Make sure that she's moving on a daily basis. And if she's not moving when I expect her to or after a period of time, to call him immediately. Otherwise, just keep doing what I'm doing.

Dena-I never did a kick count but if I felt less kicks, I laid down, ate chocolate and waited to feel. LOL

I don't know about you but if I lay down on my back or half on my tummy, this kid pushes and kicks and gets pissed.

Amy-I know what you mean about feeling the baby not feeling good. At first to me it doesn't. I only liked it toward the end

Martha-sorry you aren't feeling well

Meg- My nesting urge is going to be calling in a housekeeper. LOL I just can't keep up with the house and these 2 kids. I cleaned for 5 hr Friday and the only thing still semi-clean is one of the bathrooms!

~Martha - Stay out of the sun. I hope you're feeling better. About the rectum kick - I've been having them in the rectum and up around my ribs from the beginning. One must be up and one must be down LOL. It feels really weird to get kicked in both places.

DENA - If you have the slightest worry, call your doc. If he seems at all concerned, you can come in and they'll make sure your little bean is okay. It's their job.

BECCA - I need to hire someone too... I'm really thinking about it... Although my major thing is clothes, and I can't have someone washing my undies... EEK! LOL! Maybe I can wash them and pay Allison to fold... LOL!

Yesterday I officially told the midwife's office I was leaving them... I didn't confront Suzanne directly though (I was supposed to have an appointment today and I was going to talk to her then, but scheduling and cowardness interfered ~smiles~), but I requested my records and everything... they said it'll take a couple days to get them ready, so I should have them by the end of the week.

I feel SOOOOOOOOO much better now... it's such a relief!

Martha--what kind of needlepoint are you doing? I did a huge counted crosstitch of a Santa for my Mom last year for Christmas.

Dena--Sorry about the gas. LCing gives me gas, so I can't imagine it getting worse when I am pregnant.

gilbabe--Sorry to hear the cleaning is slow going. We are going to tackle our spring cleaning this weekend.

Vixen--Glad you are free of the bad midwife.

I can't remember who asked me what I do, but I work at a small telephone company and I work in the bill audit/margin assurance dept. We get invoices from other phone companies, and I check them to make sure we actually ordered the services, etc. I also make sure that if we are getting charged for something, we are turning around and invoicing our customer. It sounds boring, but I really like it. It seems that most of the bills we get come in the last week of the month, so I am usually really busy then.

It is so nice here today. I think it is going to be 75 and sunny. I am about to leave for lunch, and will try to spend some time outside. We have the windows open at home, and I am sure the cats are very happy about that.

Nothing new TTC wise. TOM will either be here on April 12 or April 19. My last cycle was 5 weeks (instead of 4 like when I was on the pill). I am going to start charting then (assuming I am not already pregnant).

I'm back.

Sorry to worry you. LOL... I have one more OB appt. next Tuesday, and we'll go over the whole procedure. He said I'll have a spinal, since we'd only 'need' it for about 45 minutes, and he also said I'll have the chance to BF right away if I wish to. I totally forgot to ask about the discharge I had the other day. Oh, well. Up two pounds, otherwise everything was good.

Regarding the meeting I was in earlier. Um.. as you guys know I've had NOTHING to do at work the past week or so. Suddenly, I've been asked to take care of 5 things before I leave! Hello... that's 4 days now I have to do all this stuff! Figures. Men.. they can't plan ahead.

So, I'll be busy and may not be on every two minutes like I have been. You guys probably need a break from me, anyways.

Would you guys think it weird if a belly dancer was brought into your office to celebrate a manager's birthday? I was just asked if I'd be offended.. perhaps a little because I don't think it's appropriate for the office, but I'd be more worried about others being offended and making a stink. I am pretty good at letting things slide of my back, I think.

Kaillean, I also recommend Your Pregnancy Week by Week. The What to Expect book is good, too, but just take all books with a grain of salt. They are good for telling you what is going on with your body, but there's also alot of extra fluff in them, too. Remember with anything, always ask YOUR dr. about something rather than take our advice or a book's advice.

Martha, I was getting it in the bowels yesterday, too. Hurt like h$ll! Finally, I had a BM and it felt much better.

Dena, did you try having some sugar and see if you can feel anything? Have you called your doc? I had a chocolate creme stuffed cupcake earlier that DH bought for me and baby had a par-tay!

Meg, if dusting the panels on my 6 panel doors in my house is not nesting, I don't know what is. LOL.. although, after about 3 hours of cleaning yesterday, I finally pooped out and just sat down and finished the announcements. So, I guess I can say that nesting kicked in at 37 weeks. I probably missed you, but have a good flight.

Amy, I'm glad you can feel baby but sorry it upsets you. I think it's a wonderful feeling, well.. most of the time. It's nice to know she's doing well.

Dar, glad your doctor's appointment went well. You have so little time left and she'll be here!

Nothing new on my front. I'm holding steady at 22w, 5d, still hoping to make it to about 27. Dh and I decided that we aren't going to call him home until the baby is born, and we may not be able to get him home then if the military doesn't consider it an emergency. I'd much rather him get to be here with me and the baby (while dh and I can be at home and come visit the NICU) than have to hang out here at the hospital with the potential that nothing will happen and then he can't come home on leave again. If all else fails, he is still slotted for R&R in late July. The baby should be home by then and I should be ready for some *ahem* fun with dh.

Dh called at about 6 am and we actually got to talk for 45 minutes, which is way longer than usual. Its so nice to get to talk to him on a good connection when he isn't feeling stressed. I was already awake b/c I'd had a horrible nightmare. It was a holiday weekend and some of us on the pregnancy thread were flying different places. Then my old principal came over the intercom (for some reason I was back in my high school bio class) and announced massive plane crashes all over the US. Lots of you that were flying (I won't tell you exactly who) died. It was an awful dream.

On that note, I'll pop back in later tonight. LOL

Vixen, Luna, Dar and Amy -- thanks for the book recommendations. I started reading Girlfriends' Guide last night, and I really like it. It's funny and focuses not on medical issues but on what it feels like to be pregnant. I'll check out the Week-by-week book too -- I want to keep track of what's going on.

Amy -- thanks again for the woohoos! You seem nearly as excited as me.

How fun you can feel your little one. I remember my girlfriend being weirded out too -- she said she felt like an alien pod!

It's so great to have everyone in different stages and hear what's going on with all of you.

As to the nesting, cleaning stuff, I can't even imagine what my place is going to look like. I hate housework, and it's already bad enough with just me and DH!

Mandy ~ Glad all is good with you. That must have been a hard decision to make - deciding DH wouldn't be there when you give birth. Just proves how stong you really are.

Will you have a friend or a family member with you?

Kaillean ~ I am very excited for you. I just remember how excited I was when I found out - so I know how excited you are. The Girlfriends Guide is so funny isn't it - but helpful in the same respect. They are very blunt...which I think is great!

Wow Amy, biweekly already? My practice doesn't do that until the last 2 months if I remember correctly. I have one more 4 wk and then go to 3s. The movement does feel weird. It is a new experience.

Dar-I think it is very unprofessional to have a belly dancer at the office. ESPECIALLY in this day of sexual harrassment and such. I wouldn't be offended, just think its unprofessional.

Mandy!-Hang in there. Hope you get to see DH as long as possible. Have you decided anything about labor? I know that originally you wanted to have a CS or be induced. Have you looked into your options? I had this crazy notion last night to go natural. Reading my books put that outta my head for now.

At least there's a good chance of me getting upgraded to first class. Kinda silly considering it's only a 1.5 hour flight. Nothing much to report here... Miss Charlotte has been a little lazy the last few days, but just when I start to get worried she wiggles around. I even got out my doppler to make sure all was well. I'm so glad I rented one! I'm also starting to wonder when the nesting urge is going to kick in. The only urge I have lately is to call a maid service to get the ball rolling. This place is a mess! Speaking of moving....late trimester mommies or mommies who have given birth already....did you pay attention to fetal movement much at the end....or worry if it didn't move....or call the doctor.....or just go about your lives...you knew you made it this far and everything was fine?? My baby hasn't been moving much at all the last two days. I think I might have felt him or her....but I also have gas (if you didn't already know that from yesterday)....so what I am feeling is nothing like it was a few days ago. I haven't seen my belly jump like it usually does, the feeling is much lower and much softer....not at all obvious. I'm trying to read online and get conflicting reports....some say the baby is moving into position and that it is just too cramped....others say you should be doing kick counts and calling the doctor if you don't feel ten or more every few hours. Have a safe trip! Dena, my little guys movements are much different now, they are littler, if that's even a word. It's like he doesn't have as much room anymore. I'm not going to bother with kick counts, that seems too tedious, but if you don't feel him/her at all for, like a day, I'd call...BTW, I hear you on the gas. It's been a really nice day, I was able to sit outside and do needlepoint for a couple of hours in the sun. But then I ran around doing laundry and I guess I got overheated. I had to crawl up the stairs and felt like I was going to be sick. I laid down for a bit and got really cold, fell asleep, then felt better when I woke up. I just came from a midwife appt, and she thinks I just over heated a bit and told me no more sun for the day. Otherwise things were fine, the appt took all of 15 minutes. My belly was measuring toward the large end of normal range, but she didn't seem concerned. Baby's dropped, but not all the way, his head can still move around a bit down there. Sorry I didn't go back and reread yesterdays post...the only personal I remember is: Dar, we switched our clocks forward last weekend, so now we are 7 hours ahead of New York, until next weekend, I guess we'll be back to 6 hours ahead. So, when it's noon there, it's 6 (or 7)pm here. How are youf eeling?

The last few visits, the only instructions the dr. has given to me is to pay attention to movement. Make sure that she's moving on a daily basis. And if she's not moving when I expect her to or after a period of time, to call him immediately. Otherwise, just keep doing what I'm doing. Have to run, I'll BBL.

I feel SOOOOOOOOO much better now... it's such a relief!

Alli-I hope DS is feeling better soon! Martha--what kind of needlepoint are you doing? I did a huge counted crosstitch of a Santa for my Mom last year for Christmas. Dena--Sorry about the gas. LCing gives me gas, so I can't imagine it getting worse when I am pregnant. gilbabe--Sorry to hear the cleaning is slow going. We are going to tackle our spring cleaning this weekend. Vixen--Glad you are free of the bad midwife. I can't remember who asked me what I do, but I work at a small telephone company and I work in the bill audit/margin assurance dept. We get invoices from other phone companies, and I check them to make sure we actually ordered the services, etc. I also make sure that if we are getting charged for something, we are turning around and invoicing our customer. It sounds boring, but I really like it. It seems that most of the bills we get come in the last week of the month, so I am usually really busy then. It is so nice here today. I think it is going to be 75 and sunny. I am about to leave for lunch, and will try to spend some time outside. We have the windows open at home, and I am sure the cats are very happy about that. Nothing new TTC wise. TOM will either be here on April 12 or April 19. My last cycle was 5 weeks (instead of 4 like when I was on the pill). I am going to start charting then (assuming I am not already pregnant). louise

He said I'll have a spinal, since we'd only 'need' it for about 45 minutes, and he also said I'll have the chance to BF right away if I wish to. I totally forgot to ask about the discharge I had the other day. Oh, well. Up two pounds, otherwise everything was good. Regarding the meeting I was in earlier. Um.. as you guys know I've had NOTHING to do at work the past week or so. Suddenly, I've been asked to take care of 5 things before I leave! Hello... that's 4 days now I have to do all this stuff! Figures. Men.. they can't plan ahead. So, I'll be busy and may not be on every two minutes like I have been. You guys probably need a break from me, anyways. Would you guys think it weird if a belly dancer was brought into your office to celebrate a manager's birthday? I was just asked if I'd be offended.. perhaps a little because I don't think it's appropriate for the office, but I'd be more worried about others being offended and making a stink. I am pretty good at letting things slide of my back, I think. Kaillean, I also recommend Your Pregnancy Week by Week. The What to Expect book is good, too, but just take all books with a grain of salt. They are good for telling you what is going on with your body, but there's also alot of extra fluff in them, too. Remember with anything, always ask YOUR dr. about something rather than take our advice or a book's advice. Martha, I was getting it in the bowels yesterday, too. Hurt like h$ll! Finally, I had a BM and it felt much better. Dena, did you try having some sugar and see if you can feel anything? Have you called your doc? I had a chocolate creme stuffed cupcake earlier that DH bought for me and baby had a par-tay! Meg, if dusting the panels on my 6 panel doors in my house is not nesting, I don't know what is. LOL.. although, after about 3 hours of cleaning yesterday, I finally pooped out and just sat down and finished the announcements. So, I guess I can say that nesting kicked in at 37 weeks. I probably missed you, but have a good flight. Amy, I'm glad you can feel baby but sorry it upsets you. I think it's a wonderful feeling, well.. most of the time. It's nice to know she's doing well. I'm holding steady at 22w, 5d, still hoping to make it to about 27. Dh and I decided that we aren't going to call him home until the baby is born, and we may not be able to get him home then if the military doesn't consider it an emergency. I'd much rather him get to be here with me and the baby (while dh and I can be at home and come visit the NICU) than have to hang out here at the hospital with the potential that nothing will happen and then he can't come home on leave again. If all else fails, he is still slotted for R&R in late July. The baby should be home by then and I should be ready for some ahem fun with dh. Dh called at about 6 am and we actually got to talk for 45 minutes, which is way longer than usual. Its so nice to get to talk to him on a good connection when he isn't feeling stressed. I was already awake b/c I'd had a horrible nightmare. It was a holiday weekend and some of us on the pregnancy thread were flying different places. Then my old principal came over the intercom (for some reason I was back in my high school bio class) and announced massive plane crashes all over the US. Lots of you that were flying (I won't tell you exactly who) died. It was an awful dream. On that note, I'll pop back in later tonight.
