Luna, I just wanted to answer you really quick. Yes, that's a stamp I got at Michael's, used a purple ink pad, and a pink scrapbooking marker for the accent color.

Anyone know that song, "What was I thinkin'" by Dierks Bentley (swoon!)?? The line is, "I know what I was doin', but what was I thinkin'?"... well, that's me. Last night, I get home, and ask DH if he'd like to go weed the landscaping together. I figured he could do the most of it, and I'd just help, right? He counters with.. how about you weed, and I'll plant those flowers (the ones he bought weeks ago and kept putting off, mind you). Ok, fine, I agree...

What was I thinking? My back is killing me from all the bending over to pick out teeny tiny weeds from our lava rock. Stupid stupid stupid.. I've truly gone insane. At least DH rubbed my back for me last night. And after a nice warm shower, it does feel a little better.

Dar-Yep, I was an idiot yesterday too. I over did it, then I was only able to sleep for 5 hours last night. Your announcements look great!

I wanted to address other people from yesterdays thread but my mind has gone blank-sorry guys.

DH turned over the grass for my flower bed in the back yard so I went out and shook off all the dirt from the clumps of grass, pulled out the crab grass roots and fished out all the rocks in the soil. Then I repotted 3 house plants. So then if that wasn't enough, last night after dinner I cleaned my bathroom and did 3 loads of laundry and packed the bags for the hospital. My plan was not to do anything but watch movies yesterday.

I also lost my mucus plug last night, I don't know if that means anything or not. I've read that it means the onset of labor is near, but my pregnancy book says that it DOSEN'T have anything to do with going into labor, it says that having an internal exam, which I had Friday, can make you loose that plug.

I have an appt tomorrow afternoon and they are doing an u/s to check the fluid levels.

~Heather - When I first started reading your post I was thinking "she said she wasn't going to do anything for a few days". REMIND yourself of that now and then! Once the baby is here it's all over with honey . I remember before ds came I bought a whole bunch of paperbacks thinking I'd be sitting at home reading while he slept for the first month or so. HA! He's 2.5 and I still have a couple left. I get to read while I'm on the pot now .

~Jefinner - I hope you get better sleep tonight. Isn't that horrible that we just barely wake up and start thinking about sleep.

~Vixen - Glad to hear the little one is fine .

Talk about sleep, I had a horrible sleep night lastnight. I fell asleep from about 12-12:30 and it was like a power nap or something. Finally, fell asleep around 3am and ds was up a little before 7. I sent dh after him and got to lay there for a couple more hours. Nothing eventful planned for today, I might get my nails done while ds is at his playgroup until I pick him up at noon. Maybe we'll take him swimming later?
It's been raining here for two days and it looks like it's in the forecast for the rest of the week. BLAH! I hope that means Spring is finally here!

Ooooohhh.. what a GREAT idea! My nails finally started growing again.. for a month or two they were really brittle for some reason. Anyways, I'm SOOOO bored today, and all the bosses just left for an all day meeting and one of my senior co-workers is leaving, too, to visit a project in Orlando. He asked if I wanted to go since I'm bored, but it's probably not a good idea for me to go all the way over there. So, he suggested I just go home.

Anyways, a manicure would be a great thing. And my hands still ache... oh, a hand massage would be heaven..

Sorry about the cruddy weather, though. It's absolutely GORGEOUS here today. It was horribly windy yesterday. Today, high of 76, sunny! February and March are THE months to be in Florida. Right before rainy season kicks in.

Morning everyone!

Boy you guys are more ambitious than me. I only have a container garden here at the condo, but it needs some attention. Everything is already starting to grow like crazy, and I need to some pruning that I was supposed to do in the fall. Oh well.

Vixen -- glad your little girl "woke up" for ya!

Well, I did another First Response test today. Line is still not as dark as the control, but is twice as dark as yesterday. So it's looking very good. My doc office opens in about half an hour so I'll give them a call and see if they'll do a blood test for me. My temp also took a big jump today to its highest point, so I'm finally starting to believe this really happened. Please let it stick! Had a mini wave of nausea last night, but it didn't last long. I wonder if this is the sign of things to come?

Fertility Friend is giving me a due date of Dec 9, based on my O date and babydancing. We'll see if the doc concurs.

DH is bewildered but happy. I think part of him was glad to find out he was not shooting blanks!

So when did you guys start with the morning sickness? Anyone manage to escape it altogether? (She says hopefully).

I have a hiking trip to Arizona (Sedona and area) booked for April 20-30. It's day hiking with a few other girls. Nothing too crazy, though there will be some long ones. I'm wondering now if this will be okay. We do plan to go to Flagstaff as well, which is 7000ft, and I read that exertion at high altitudes isn't great. Considering I'm coming from sea level, I may have to opt out of those hikes, but I'm hoping I can do the rest. I guess I'll just have to see how I"m feeling. I have cancellation insurance for my flight, but I don't know if morning sickness/pregnancy will qualify as a reason to cancel. And I really want to go!

Anywho, I must go eat my breakfast before I start feeling yucky.

Woo Hoo, Kaillean!! Great news!

My m/s kicked in at about 6 weeks. It was never really severe.. no vomiting just lots of aversions and waves of nausea. I still have a couple of the aversions that I'm hoping go away after delivery. Ginger snaps and hard candies were my best friend. The worst part about m/s for me was that I'd be nauseous and not want to eat, but then not eating would make me more nauseous. So, just eating a few crackers helped to settle that. Yah.. LC went completely out the window!

Ask your dr. about the trip before you cancel. Most activities can be continued while pregnant, until you become too uncomfortable. My ob just told me that as long as I wasn't exerting myself to the point of panting and overheating, I was okay.

I was lucky and never really had morning sickness, there were just a lot of foods I had to stay away from. I was tired more than anything.

Yesterday I had horrible cramps all day. I feel better today. I assume I ovulated yesterday. I am going to buy the book that Miss Gigl recommended, hopefully this weekend.

It is so nice here today! I don't want to be at work! But I have so much to do. Last week was a slow week at work, but this week is always a busy one. Last night I bought some yarn, and I started an afghan for my Mom. I'd like to give it to her for Mother's day, but I am not sure I can finish it by then.

I want to learn how to knit so bad! I bought a teaching book made by Klutz last week, it's geared for like 13 year old girls, so I figured I could catch on really quick....wrong! I can't even cast on to get started! I can make the slipknot and that's it. DH told me to go to the nursing home and ask one of the lonley ladies to teach me. I'm sure they would love to have company, but I really don't like going into nursing homes, I feel so sorry for everybody there. Anyway!

I don't know what happened to the day, I started the thread and then never got around to posting!

Heather, I've been working frantically on a needlepoint Christmas stocking...I'm hoping (yeah, right!) to get it finished by the end of April so I can send it in to be lined/finished and have it for Christmas. This is the first of 3, mine, hubby's is coming with my dad in a couple of weeks, and I'll have to get one for baby at some point...Oh, and the mucus plug...I was talking to my doula yesterday about it, and she said if the bloody show came along with it, then it probably means the onset of labor. Did you have any fresh blood with it?

So, my mom is coming on Saturday. I'm pretty excited about that--but I probably won't get on to post as much as usual...if someone wants to buddy up, we could exchange email, and I could at least get the word out

Oh, and the other girl in my birthing class had her baby yesterday morning. So, I'm the last one remaining! Friday I'm going to try and visit the other girl who had hers a week or two ago.

Hi everyone! Hope all of you are feeling well and having happy wigglie days.

I don't have much time, so haven't read all the posts yet. I really should get back to packing. We are supposed to be moving in by April 1st!! and I just started packing today! We don't have the fence up around the new house yet, and are still waiting for the loan to go through... ugh! We need the fence up ASAP, I have 3 dogs and need somewhere for them, especially since one is in heat at the moment.

Anyway, had my first apt yesterday. Got a new EDD 11/24/2005. I was pretty close, but not spot on. LOL, knowing me though I will have the little guy/gal in October anyway. Was a good apt except for the nurse who wrote my weight completely wrong w/out really weighing me, posted about that on the Pground). Found out what the Dr visits are going to be like. Will have my next apt April 26th, then will have to go to the U of MN for fetal EKGs in June, not sure if I will have to go again later on... guess it depends on what the first ones show. I think I have an U/s next visit... there was so much information flying around I got a little confused on that one, I suppose I should call and check.

Haven't slept well in days. Not sure if I am just having a bought of insomnia, not uncommon for me, or if I am just worrying too much. I am pretty nervous about everything right now. I am so early along and I just don't know if I could handle another miscarriage at this point... :cross fingers:

I will try to post again later and read more of what you all wrote.

Well, back to packing... I have a LOT to get done!

Kaillean, Pregnancy test sounds good. As for m/s I basically felt like Dar. I never actually vomited but I could not stand the smell of most things. Going out in public and smelling people's cologne was awful! AND my husband used the time to fry eggs and sausage! He nearly lost his life. All I wanted to eat was white rice or very plain food.

I am of the opinion that nothing should be held against a pregnant woman. So I say let it go!

Sorry Jenna, I was not exactly on a low carb diet (just no sugar really) and I hadn't tried to get pregnant before.
