Woh, just trying to get used to this new look. I didn't see a thread so I decided to start it.

Trying to take a break and chill out on the computer. We haven't had a truly busy day, but it feels like it. We did a little shopping this morning.. DH got a wireless adapter and Xbox live for his Xbox (that's his Easter gift), bought a cool floor lamp at LNT (similar to this one), and then bought stuff at Target and the grocery store for me to make some casseroles to freeze. Then I spent a whole hour on the phone with tech support for DH's adapter, and it got me nowhere, so that wore me out. I was so irritated with the girl I was tempted to just tell her my water broke and hang up.

Now, I'm pooped, but don't feel like I did a whole lot. It's really warm today and I'm just burning up.

On the DH front.. he's still mad at me but it's subsiding. Now he's mad at his folks for planning their trip down here around a Disney pin event. They had it planned all along that they'd be at Disney Saturday. It seems that using my request to not stay with us is their justification for not staying near us and being in Orlando Sat. So, he's ticked off at them. I don't blame him.. but he has a tendency to not "let go" when he should. Me, I can be angry for a while, but I get over it. He refuses to do that. What a nerd.

Oh, and Go Big Ten!

Hey Darlene, I was going to start one earlier LOL.

DH will forget he is mad when the first night you guys are home with the baby he gets NO SLEEP.

I cleaned for 5 hrs today because this board was down. LOL That is pretty sad.

A normal Sat and I would have been off and on and got stuff done but not that much!

I'm pooped too!

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, too. I think he's just stressing himself out over nothing he can change... on top of everything else he's stressing over (he has lots of house things that need to be taken care of and he's just now realizing that he shouldn't have put them off!).

It's funny, when I was on the phone with that tech support twit earlier, she kept putting me on hold forever.. and I had not LCF to browse while I was waiting! It sucked!

Ok, I think I'm going to log off and go make those brownies that Heather posted the other day! I can't wait to try them!

I'm not sure what they're talking about exactly, but there is a store called Menard's up north. It's a discount store.. kind of like a Big Lots. I used to see them alot in Iowa and I think my in-laws in Indy shop at one.

Hee hee.. hopefully my sore back and feet will be worth it. I'll let you know.. although I just discovered I'm out of ice cream, and the grocery store is closed tomorrow! I also made some homemade mac n cheese at the same time to freeze. It's my favorite recipe.. from an old cookbook of my mother's. It says the recipe is credited to "Nancy Reagan, wife of the Governor of California". It is really yummy.

Hey ladies!! Whoever updates the thread on Monday needs to move blueyedgrl up one. Didn't she deliver on the 23rd?

That puts Heather next!!! Heather, your pictures are beautiful!!! You look great. Have you not dropped yet? You looked high, but I have no idea how any of us are supposed to look!!

Then Martha, Darlene and Jefinner!!! I'm so excited!!!

Darlene - didn't I tell you they were trying to kill two birds with one stone?

Doh! My fault! Sorry, Emily!

Yep.. and DH and I remembered there's a big frisbee tournament we were going to attend that Saturday. So, we weren't planning on being home that day, anyways, assuming I felt up to it! But, of course, he's still mad. Like I said, worse than a woman sometimes. I thought we were the ones that held grudges?!

Oh, and to Heather.. those brownies are AWESOME! All I need is some ice cream or cool whip and I'll be in heaven for sure.

Hi Ladies,
Just popping in to wish everyone a Happy Easter . I had a small case of nesting the past couple of days and it feels great, until I stop and look at my ankles that are slowly starting to swell already. Did I tell you guys that I measured at 32 weeks the other day and I'm just going to be 25 on Monday? I guess it's normal for twins, but boy do I feel like I'm 8 months!!! Anyway, you've probably all seen it but this has always been one of my favorite Easter pictures.

Oh and Heather, the pictures look great! I also copied the brownie recipe to try.

Dar - Glad the heat has come off of you and onto your IL's.

Hi to everyone else.

Just wanted to say a quick hello. Hubby has a 4 day weekend, so we've been spending time together. Nothing much happening here, although I think Baby is beginning to drop. I haven't caught completely up on the thread, but I saw Dar's question wether I'm dialating--I have no idea, they don't do internal checks here until during actual delivery.

Oooo...this is so weird. Looks funny in here!! LOL

Just wanted to check in really quick and see if Mandy had checked in at all.

Oh, and my mother might not make it down until next weekend...8th-9th.

But, on the up side, my MIL informed me today that she wants to buy me a crib - so if she buys me a crib and my mother buys me a changing table/bureau, I will be all set.

MIL wants to get me a convertable crib, but I don't think I want that. I figure if we have another kid, I don't want to have to go buy another crib. It would be easier to just get a "big kid bed" for the older child. How do you all feel on this??

Well, gotta keep packing. Just wanted to check in! Hope everyone had a great Easter.

Amy- That's great that your MIL wants to buy a crib for you! We went for the convertable crib, as Audrey is our one and only. It made sence financially, as a toddler bed is about $100 and then a big bed is even more money! Good luck on the packing and moving! Don't lift anything heavy!

Hi, girls.. although I seem to be one of the only ones online this weekend.

I overdid it today. Of course, what's new, right? I made chicken pot pies and lasagna and froze it all. So, I'd have to say the freezer is officially full. And I got the guest room/office ready for my Mom. Now, the only thing really left to do in the house is the floors. Yay!

Now, I'm sitting here in my recliner in so much pain. Yes, my feet and back hurt, but the part that's really bothering me is that baby is trying to shove her feet under my ribs and that just won't work! Why is she doing this to me?!?! LOL... Get over it baby, there's just no room! She's been more active tonight than she's been in days, it seems. I can't sit up straight, I have to lean back or else I can't breathe. I guess she's getting irritated.

My tummy feels like it's totally stretched to the limit. I've survived this far with no stretch marks.. but I wonder if I'll make it through the next 1 1/2 weeks?

Well, I feel like I'm talking to myself. Catch you all tomorrow!

Hoping that Heather and Mandy are doing okay!

I hate you!!

I posted on the PG about my indigestion. I ate WAY too much food, and I have never been so miserable. We ate about 2:00pm, and I don't care if I ever eat again.

Sorry you are hurting! Same thing happened to me when I was trying to get some stuff down around the house. I aggravated a nerve and have had difficulty walking ever since.

I keep trying to have a good attitude about this.....but today is officially the worse day in this pregnancy...but as others have mentioned, our situations could be a lot worse. I have Mandy to thank as far as getting me through these rough days because I'm sure she'd change spots with me if she could!

There are different kinds of convertibles.....is she wanting you to get a convertible that changes into a toddler bed or a full size bed?

We went with one that turns into a toddler bed. We figured when it got old enough, we would get it its own suite of furniture and reuse what we have for another baby. Believe it or not, trying to decide if we would get furniture that our child would grow into versus buying baby furniture we would reuse was one of the toughest decisions we had to make.

Alli - I'm so excited about your twins. I think the friend that I have mentioned went 35 weeks. She was HUGE!!! But, like I mentioned, she dropped most of her weight right away. She actually started her own website on twin support. She has done a great job with them.

Sending lots of hugs and prayers to Mandy for tomorrows ultrasound. You, your husband, and family are in my thoughts!!!

Just a quick update on little Megan...she is now 4 weeks old. Hubby has not gotten around to uploading the pictures yet...he will do that later on tonight and I will post them. I'm getting very, very frustrated!!!! My poor little girl is having so much pain and I don't know what to do. I'm having a hard time figuring out if it's just colick or problems with her formula. As you probably know we've changed her formula 4 times now. With the last formula change she has been on that formula now for over a week, possibly even going on 2 weeks now. When she first changes to the new formula things seem to be ok, then they go down hill very, very fast. She starts cramping up, crying, and then later she starts regurging the formula. Last night was HORIBLE!!! We were up all night long, I finally got to sleep around 8 this morning. Last night was the worst night..she actually projectile vomited on me once.

I've talked to her doctor at the visits and we've just changed her formula. We've started adding dark Karo syrup to her bottles and that has actually started her on having bowel movements on her own now...so that's fixed. I just don't know what to do with the whole situation. she is passing gas a lot...and that's why I'm more inclined now to chalk it up to colick. My older daughter had colick when she was younger, but it was different than this. Hers was a non stop crying for so many hours a night. Megan isn't doing that. She cries non stop while she's cramping or trying to pass gas, but it's intermetent (sp?) it doesn't go on and on. It comes and goes. Plus last night with the projectile vomiting. Also, last night she kept sneezing and the formula kept coming out her nose. I think she was sneezing because of the formula.

Part of it seems like its just that we haven't found the right formula for her, then the other part of me thinks its colick.

Kim

LOL...badgered hubby into uploading two pics.

Get a load of the cheeks!!!

Here's Megan in her bouncer

Here she is in the swing (which I might add she used once...it doesn't go far enough back for a small baby and we're in the process of looking for a new one that reclines more...this was a used one someone gave us and the belt that holds her in is broken...not taking our chances...baby will be getting a new one sometime this week)

KIM,
I'm so sorry you're going through all of this. Have you been using Mylicon drops? They really seemed to help ds when he was gassy. I think I'd ask the doctors to get an X-ray of her belly if possible. NOT TO SCARE YOU or anything, but a friend of mine had a baby with similar problems and finally at age 3 they did an X-ray and found her intestines to be twisted. She had horrible constipation issues right up until they discovered it. I'm obviously not saying that's what she has, but it can't hurt to rule it out. It just hit me that her daughters name was Megan too !!!
Big hugs and I hope you all get some sleep tonight.

Thanks for the tip Alli!! I'll bring that up at the next dr's appt or on the phone, which ever comes first. Yes, we've been using the Mylecone drops since her birth...a little tip my sister in law told us was to put it in each of her bottles. So, we do.

Kim,
Maybe you could try giving it to her directly. You never know the formula could neutralize it or something.

We skipped the whole "big kid bed" thing entirely and went directly to a twin bed with ours (she was about 1.5 yrs old). One side is up against the wall and we put a bed rail on the other (no headboard). We thought the toddler beds were too pricey for the length of time you can use them and although our crib converts to a toddler bed with a rail thingie, it actually turned out to be /higher/ off the floor after conversion than the twin bed is. We have a leetle stool at the foot of the bed that she uses to climb in and it's been great since day one.
