Anyone get pregnant while low-carbing?

Hi! I'm co-writing a fertility book and am looking for stories from women who were trying to conceive for at least a year and did not succeed until they went on a lower-carb diet.

In the Maintain Lane part of the boards, there is a pregnancy thread and yes, many of the women there got pregnant they feel, as a result of low carb. You may want to post there.

There is also the losing the baby fat thread on the Challenge part of the board.

I got pregnant while Low Carbing...... and yes, although we know who we can blame for it

, I still say my body was screwed up because of the LC diet.

I started 10/26/2003 - and within 6 mths, I had lost 80 lbs. I knew my cycle was screwed up - missed here and there, sometimes cycles every two weeks..... but I kept taking the pill as normal.

I found out I was pregnant in early July after missing two cycles. We were NOT trying to get pregnant.... after having a 10 yr old and 6 yr old.. and me being 38 - let's just say we were flabergasted.

But.... here I am today, with a wonderful 6 week old.... and yes, starting LCing again.... (although a bit nervous to be on the pill again!..... doctor says she wont let me have my tubes tied until I am down to 200).

Thanks, both of you! Shandril, I tried reposting this in the Maintain Lane forum. No responses there yet, but I'm hopeful.

I have to say, I've been hanging around this site all night reading everyone's success stories and looking at the photos and inspirational messages. What a great community you have here, and congrats to all of you for making a commitment to a more healthy life!
