Dar ~ Glad that you had a good appt. As far as the mucous plug goes I think everyone is different. Loved the belly pics, just took my 32 week ones and yours give me belly envy!!

Dena ~ LOVED the pics, I keep waiting to do my own "professional" ones in hopes that I will get more of a belly!! I am like you and although I may not be showing much I loved at my shower when people want to feel, most asked first though..

Martha ~ Thanks for posting your list, have you read "Diary of a mad mom to be" ? That's what your list reminded me of. Love the room and the bed the one we got is similar but white. That outfit is cute, do what you want don’t listen to you mom!! You are getting SO close!! I remember when we where all (You, Dar, Dena & me) in the first trimester!!

Mandy ~ Thinking about you and your little guy all the time, I hope for your sake that they keep you in the hospital till you deliver in like 12 weeks! I know that if I was put on bed rest at home that it would pretty much be a joke. Keep us updated on everything, even the small stuff.... we worry about you!!

Michelle ~ Elena is so cute, keep the pics coming!!

Amy (smiley) ~ I second what Alli said, also don’t stress about it but talk to your Dr. !! Remember you can still use your little friend to finish...... *wink*

Louise ~ Everyone is skiing, awww man my season was totally blown!! But David went up to Tahoe 4 times actually just went last weekend.

Dierdre ~ Are there any other insurance options for you?? I know that when my girlfriend lost her job and she was given the choice to keep her insurance, but it was pretty pricey. She shopped around and went with Kaiser because the cost was pretty low.

Karen ~ Welcome & Congrats!! As far as LC'ing while PG I have tried to stay away from the refined stuff. I eat a ton of fruit and just try to make good choices, I have not gained much weight, my Dr. is fine with it and my little guys estimated weight 2 weeks ago at 3.5 lbs. Make yourself at home we have a wonderful group of women here!!

Alli ~ I LOVE your belly pic !! And wish that I looked cute like you with a nice round PG belly!!

Luna ~ wOOOhOOO, you got the BK hook-up!! Glad you passed your test, the 3 hour was NO fun!!

Amy (vixen) ~ It’s a supply and demand thing, same thing happened to my in-laws when they moved to the Bay Area from Texas. The u-haul was like $500 to get here but to go back 4 years later it was $2000!! OUCH !!! There is a service that I found for them that they ended up using I will see if I can find the link. Basically they drop off a HUGE empty trailer for a semi and you fill it and they haul it and drop it, you unload.

Hi ladies! My due date has changed to 10/17/05. I'm in my 10th week of pregnancy.

I had a real scare on Tuesday. I was at my doctor for the second time and mentioned to her that I was using Retin-A before and during the first 8 weeks of my pregnancy (I stopped it when I found out I was pregnant.) She told me that she doesn't know a whole lot about Retin-A, but knows that it could cause developmental delays and maybe mental and physical disabilities!! I was FREAKING out! I was crying hysterically for so long. She was going to do tests that day for down syndrome, spinal bifida, etc., but said we should wait until I speak with a specialist and genetic counselor to see what they think. She got me an appointment with them for the next day (yesterday.) I was crying all Tuesday night over this. I was certain these doctors would give me bad news.

Well, I'm SO HAPPY to say that the doctor at the antepartum testing center does not think this is a problem at all!!! She said that since I was using such a low dosage and was applying it to my skin (as opposing to taking accutane in pill form), my body would not have absorbed enough of it to affect the baby!!! Yay!!
She said the baby's size is on target and has a strong heartbeat.

My fiance and I went out to dinner to celebrate afterwards. I hope everyone else is doing well!!

Last night I went out to dinner with one of the couples from out birthing class. The second couple had their baby! It sounds like she had a great, and really quick, birth. She got to the hospital fully dialated after 4 hours of labor, and pushed the baby out pretty quickly, no tears or anything! She's a tiny little woman, too.

Spring is here today! I sat out in the sun for a couple hours, even. I bared my big belly so baby could get some light...Maybe that will entice him to come a little early (watch, I'll be one of those moaning at 43+weeks!) I think he might have rolled over, but I'm not sure...I'm now feeling him kicking on my right side.

Chels, glad to see you! I'd love to see your latest belly shot. You know when Payton starts putting on those pounds late, you will have no where to go but out! Last night, I was making some veggies on the stove, and wondered why my belly was getting so warm until I looked down!

So, Amy and Mandy...you are making me jealous about feeling movement. Still nothing!! GAWD...is this baby as lazy as her father!??! I just want to feel something and know it is her!!

So, I am off of work tomorrow! My mom is driving down from Canada for the weekend. I am going to register on Saturday with her, and show her my new apartment. And, first thing Saturday AM, we are going to meet my best friend for breakfast because she is home from PA for the weekend to! So, should be a busy weekend. Plus on Monday, she is going to be taking Ziggy back to Canada with her so I will be a little sad.

Hang in there. I didn't feel anything for the longest time. This is my third. I thought for sure I'd feel something earlier rather than later. Everytime I was at the doc's he was kicking up a storm and the could tell he was very active but I still didn't feel anything. She still had plenty of room to move without bumping around much. Wait till she gets at little bigger. You'll feel her kicks soon I'm sure.

Amy, I find it helps to keep a list of questions handy. Put something in your purse so you'll have it with you at all times, and anytime you think of a question, write it down. It seems anytime I see my dr. my brain goes blank and I forget everything I wanted to ask!

You will be a pro by the end of it. I had no idea either. I was complaining to a friend that I couldn't feel the baby, and she was the one who suggested that my placenta might be anterior. My doctor confirmed it.

Although I was frustrated, I felt better knowing about it because my doctor explained that posterior placentas attach to the back of the uterus, so the baby can kick the mother in the front of the uterus, and the mother can feel it easier than if it were anterior.

The anterior attaches to the front. So when the baby is kicking, it is kicking through the placenta, so it doesn't hit those nerve endings of the uterus like it would if it was posterior. So, it takes a little longer to feel the baby. But, she says most of us will sleep better during the pregnancy because of the lack of sensation.

Just ask your doctor next time you see him/her.

:P Yeah, right now I'd give anything to sleep better. I guess, based on our 3D u/s, the placenta is down near my lower back. Her head was resting against it in all the shots, and she is head down, facing left.

At least at work they are not bothering me too much. They know I'm tired, but since I'm helping out here and there, they don't mind my zone outs. We're not that busy, anyways.

I'm guessing Emily has her her baby! She posted last that her contractions were getting to be very close, but then stopping. I haven't even had ONE contraction!

I am happy to say that I have not gotten the bug yet. I just can not imagine having the stomach flu at 39 weeks, that would be awful. I'll be amazed if I don't get it though because my mom, dad and two brothers had it last week and my brother is here this week, so that's how dh and dd got it........must be a strong virus.

I'm back from my appointment that I had with the midwife. She was very nice. Everything seems fine and luckily I only gained 3 pounds this time! Now I'm down to appointments every 2 weeks. Still no suggestions on the boob situation other than to try the cabbage thing. I thougth about it but I thought that was more for when you get full from the milk. She also gave me information on an IUD. I didn't even ask about b/c or anything, hmmm kind of odd at this point.

~Chels - I'm dying to hear about your weekend! I hope the shower was wonderful for you .

~Tammeli - Sorry about the scare. So far, I have found there is nothing worse than worrying about the little one/s growing inside us or once they get out .

~Tekla - There are some large size bras on http://www.barenecessities.com also. I'm in the same boat you are and it's HORRIBLE. It's my only real complaint during pregnancy.
