Good morning ladies!
jojolw! You'll find lots of support here. Let us know what your due date is after your first prenatal appointment. It's good to have some newbies....our first trimester list was getting kind of slim.Hang in there kimism. Keep that baby in 4 more weeks. Don't worry yourself too much about keeping up with all of us. Some days I can do it, but a lot of days I just don't feel like it. But I appreciate the ladies who can keep up with it.Vixendrop, hope you get to have the ultrasound tomorrow and find out what it is! Anybody heard from SmileyAmy....I hope she didn't leave us for good since she can't get on from work anymore. Hi to everyone else! Boy do I feel like I'm in a daze. I think the third trimester woes are starting to take hold. Tonight I woke up a few hours before my alarm to pee and of course couldn't get back to sleep right away because of sinus congestion. Then the past several days I've had continual pressure down in my pelvic region...at first it felt like I had to pee all the time, but now it just feels like a lot of pressure everywhere and I'm having fairly loose stools too about 2 or 3 times a night. I've had quite a bit of tingling sensations in my pubic area and numbness in one thigh or the other that lasts several minutes to several hours. I've got the waddle now too because of all the pressure and I have to sit with my legs wide apart or else I get really uncomfortable....so much for being ladylike. At least I don't have the heartburn like I thought I would get and I even feel like I can breath easier and eat more this week. I guess that means the baby has officially dropped? I figured it would be a sudden thing, but all this has taken place over the last 10 days or so and the news at my last prenatal appointment confirmed things are progressing, so I guess it's not my imagination. I'm beginning to wonder if this baby is going to be fairly early...like a week or two weeks or (heaven forbid) come this week! I'm trying not to set myself up for that, but at the same time I don't want to be caught off guard. I don't know if it is the "nesting" urge setting in, but I have this sudden need to get everything done this week. My mind is racing all the time the last few days about what still needs to get done and I even spent 3 hours yesterday just cleaning when I got home from work. On top of all that the baby sure is getting aggresive. For being in the correct anterior position he sure can give me some good wallups with his butt at the top of my uterus. I can just imagine the punches I'd be getting if he was facing the other way! Those wallups sure catch me off guard and can really hurt at times. When he gets the hiccups now, my whole belly moves and my husband can't believe how big the movements are. This baby must have really grown this past week!Well, I guess that's all for now. Hope you ladies have a great weekend! Ames |

Hi Ladies!! Just popping in after a feeding to see how you all are doing. Elana is still growing big and strong. We had to take her again to the pediatrician yesterday as she's having an awful time with gas issues. It's not inhibiting her formula intake though as she gained another 5 oz. in 2 days
As promised....here's the latest pic. This was from last night when her big brother not only held her for the first time, but fed her! Look at that little piggy belly!! Ames....sounds like you're gearing up for the big day!! jojolw.....you'll love this group as they're very supportive and informative! Heck, they don't even kick ya out once you've had the baby kimism.... I'm and keeping you in thoughts for a few more weeks so your little one can grow strong before entering this world. Hang in there sweetie, and trust that hubby will make the right decisions in what all needs to be done to prepare. Just remember to focus on the basics, you can always pick up the other stuff once the baby arrives safely home. *waves* to everyone else....glad you all are doing so well! |

Michelle~Great pic! Love the lil' baby belly on Elana. What can they do about the gas? Well, DH and I have our last birthing class in a few hours, and sleep seems so far off! At least we get the hospital tour today. I ate about a half of a Pizza Hut pizza last night. I haven't had pizza that wasn't LC for over a year! It was so salty, I think that's one reason I'm up now. Plus, I overate, which is a major source of disconfort this late in PG! Consider that I'm up with pizza heartburn eight hours after I ate it... Later Ladies! Kelley

I just think this little bugger is either gonna come early or make me miserable for the next several weeks. However, the women in my family tend to have babies a bit on the early side so ya never know. My sister is the only baby on my mom's side that was late and that was only by 2 days because the doctor induced my mom because he wanted to go on vacation. So if her due date was off by even a few days, my sister may have actually been early too though she was forced to come by induction. I've convinced myself that I'll make it to February 1st at least, but my husband is convinced I'll go the last week of January. I dunno....I just want to be ready for whenever he arrives and I feel like I have so much to do still, even though it's just some odds and ends that don't really have to get done. I guess I'm just a planner and want to be ready for anything. Ames |

Hey Michelle~ I've been giving Murphy the Equate brand of gas drops for a couple of weeks now (much cheaper than Mylacon, same active ingredient). They really seem to help his gas. The bottle says we can give it to him up to 12 times a day. That roughly works out to every feeding for him. On his bad days, he gets it about that often. We have also done the bicycles and little ab crunches, where you push his knees to his chest. We did it one day 10 times in a row and each time he passed gas.
We were nearly in tears from laughing. Yep, passing gas is still funny in our house, especially when done by a baby!Ames~Yep, girl you are nesting!!! According to my Nana, the baby won't come until you have cleaned everything and start having urges to clean out the cupboards. I spent a good 2 weeks cleaning. I probably could have done all that cleaning in about 4 days prepregnancy, but it took 2 weeks with my big ole belly. Sounds like you are really close! Have a good weekend, everyone!

The only thing left is to put a few more things in my suitecase, hang a few baby pictures and buy a few more items like an extra car seat base and extra sheet for the co-sleeper. My husband plans to super vacuum the house this week and I'm leaving the scrubbing of the floors for my MIL to do after the baby comes, because it's too hard on my knees. In other words, I could literally be done with everything within just a few short days.....what does that mean! Ames |

Ames, aren't loose stools a sign too?
I'm hoping it may be soon! You are the most prepared person I know!! I posted these on the playground, but if you don't go over there...you wouldn't see them. This is just a few days ago. Can someone tell me what is going on with the angle shaped tummy? ![]() ![]() |

No time (again) for personals... we have to head out in a few minutes to do a couple errands before going for our U/S!!! Yep, the appointment was still open today so we get to go peek at our little one!
I'll be back later to let you all know what was seen! Cross your fingers that we'll be needing blue!!! |

Hello ladies. I need to take a moment to vent, then I'll be back with personals.
I am becoming annoyed with my body. I stopped spotting right after Christmas. I was overjoyed. Now, three times in the last week, I have had what I can only describe as gushers. I feel like I'm leaking something and by the time I get to the bathroom I'm covered in blood. The first time it happened, dh was home and we chalked it up to us having sex, especially since it was almost gone (and had turned brown from a bright red) by the next day. No biggie. On Wednesday I was teaching and had the same feeling. Went to the bathroom and I was covered in blood. This time I can't chalk it up to sex b/c dh had been gone since Monday. I call the doctor and speak with a nurse, who wants to see me the next morning. I can't make it in the next morning, so she tells me to go have my aunt do an ultrasound. I go and everything looks great, the bleeding turns brown on Thursday and so I don't bother the doctor. This morning I woke up at 6 to go to the bathroom. I feel wet. I think I've been sweating (I have flannel sheets on the bed), but my shirt isn't wet, just my panties. It is dark, so I decide not to worry about it and go back to bed. However, I catch a glimpse in the toliet before I flush and notice that, even though its dark, whatever is in the toliet looks way darker than just urine. I turn the light on and am covered in blood. At about 10 am, I passed a clot about the size of a half dollar. Shea (my aunt/the u/s tech) says some women are just bleeders and obviously I'm one of those women. I've passed way bigger clots during this pregnancy, so the clot doesn't worry me. I am just annoyed. I want to stop with this bleeding nonsense. Shea said she can't imagine anything going wrong at this point because everything looked way too good. Good movement and heartbeat and all that stuff. I can never tell when this gush is coming, so I'm destroying some really cute pairs of panties in this process, which ticks me off. Maybe it will stop soon? Here's hoping. Mandy

I noticed that, as baby got bigger, she became more 'centralized'. For a while, I only felt her on the right side. I wondered if I'd ever feel her on my left. She's eventually moved her way around. Pretty funny. My tummy almost looked like yours does!Michelle, Elana looks great!!! Welcome, jojo!!! Congrats! VixenAmy, sorry to hear about the stressful day. I know how you feel. I hope it gets better soon. Can't wait to hear the results!Kim, don't feel bad about not doing personals. Like Dena said, you've got quite a bit to worry about right now.. we can forgive the lack of personals. I admit I don't always do them, and I don't respond to everyone. I'm so glad baby's been able to hold on for so long. I can't believe you're at 30 weeks!Ames, how cool you're getting so close! I remember when you first posted that your DH thought you might be pg, but you didn't believe it!!! Mandy, sorry the bleeding continues. Do you have some thin pads you can use? I use Kotex for periods, and they are thin but work great. I know it sucks to have to wear a pad all the time.. but I've now resigned myself to wearing pantyliners anyways due to urine leakage. Busy weekend for me. AKC Nationals (conformation, obedience, and agility) are in Tampa this weekend, so of course I've been hanging out there. Just watching. Unfortunately, the only seating at the agility, if you can find any, is bleachers. I'm so glad I borrowed a friend's seat cushion! The convention center was NOT prepared for the number of people there, though. They ran out of food and ice, and the concession stands were severely understaffed. I'm planning to sneak in food tomorrow! It's better than waiting 45 minutes for a $7 sandwich! Later, all! Last edited by Dar20 : 01-15-2005 at 05:24 PM. |

Thanks again everyone for the warm welcomes. It's so nice to have somewhere to go to talk to people going throught what I am!
Just a few personals, since I don't really know anyone yet! Vixendrop - congratulations! Glad to hear you were able to find out, sometimes those little ones do not cooperate! Michelle - what a gorgeous baby! Her big brother looks so happy with her too, how old is he? Dena - you look like I did with my first, I felt kind of lopsided too! Mandy - sorry to hear about your problems with the bleeding, but it's good to know everything looks normal. I agree with Dar20 about the pads, though, or a pantiliner at least. Seeing as how this is my 3rd pregnancy, I imagine I'll be wearing them constantly after about month 5. My muscles just aren't what they used to be! Hello to everyone else, hope you all have a great weekend. I'm working all weekend, of course, big hockey tournament going on. Tomorrow's another split shift, but hopefully I can squeeze in a quick nap after my morning shift before I have to head back tomorrow night Take care Dal |

This girl did NOT want to show anything at first... she had her legs crossed AND had the cord between her legs! Talk about stubborn! But she was moving around SOOOOO much that patience won and she finally revealed the goods... VERY CLEARLY revealed!
She kept kicking the wand too, it was funny! Oh, and we got to see her yawn right before she started calming down... it was ADORABLE! Right now we're getting ready to go to Glendale Glitters and Glows... see y'all later! |

Hi Everyone, I haven't been here in a while, i can not believe how far up on the list my name is! Yikes I have a lot of prep work to do.
metroames - I had that nesting feeling at work this week getting all stressed out that I will not finish my yearly tasks before April break. It is my first year at this school and i was going slow in the beginning and now I have alot of catching up to do. Vixendrop congrats on the girl - I have two boys already so I am wearing all pink this time around. mandyhoward - Hugs to you, I would be a worried mess! karatejen - My sister switched to Dr. Brown's Bottles for her daughters gas/tummy problems and what a world of difference! They are not cheap, but they saved mys sisters sanity! Well all i wanted to say hello to eveyone, I usually lurk quickly during the week from work but I have a few minutes while DH comes home with my french fries! Yikes I can not believe how much weight I have gained. My Aunt said to me today WOW you have really popped out! I wanted to punch her and blame it on the hormones! Have a great weekend! |
