Thank you all so much for the compliments on the Bethany pictures!! I'm starting to really love the digital camera. I was at my mom's yesterday and I found an old photo album. I couldn't believe how much Bethany looks like I did as a baby. I'll scan in some photos, once I figure out how to use the scanner!!

Surfdol and Gett'n... wow any second now I image!! Good luck you two. My friend had her baby on the 24th last year. The maternity ward was really quiet over Christmas.

Just think pregnant ladies, next Christmas you'll have your bundles of joy!!

Hi everyone!! Been really busy the last couple of days so I am just now getting online to catch up on everything that has been going on.

Congrats Michelle!! I will keep your little girl in my thoughts - I am sure she will be fine!!

My first doctors appt on Tuesday went well. Basically just talking and taking blood - which did NOT go well!! I warned them that no one can ever get blood out of me and sure enough they had to send me over to the local hospital to get it done. I was quite surprised because the lab tech over there got it on the first try - which NEVER happens!! I found out what days she works so that when I need to get blood work done again I can make sure she is there.

So, I had no idea I couldn't have cold cuts!! I live on them - turkey mostly, but I love bologna!! Now ever since I found I out I couldn't have them that is all I want. I litterally drooled over DH's italian sub the other day.

Anyway, I should get going. Still have to finish cleaning and put my homemade spaghetti sauce and meat balls in the crockpot to reheat for tonight.

Just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas!!

Hey ladies...just wanted to let you all know that I'm still here. No labor yet. Actually went up to the hospital last night because my contractions were 3-4 min apart and about 30 to 45 sec. long. I got up there and my cervix didn't really change. Stayed 4 cm...same efacement and position. So, they wanted me to stay and to let them break my water...but I told them I would rather go home and let nature take its course! So, we'll see what happens!! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

New update sorry it is so late.

Elana has been moved to an all childrens hostpital. They moved her because her condiction was not getting any better and they wanted to put in a breathing tube to help her breath. The positive side to this is Michelle finally get to see her yesterday post op. Michelle was still not well enough to make it to nursery yesterday (obviously). We went this morning to see her (the other hostpital is connected by an underground tunnel) Michelle walked a good bit of the way on her own even up an incline. Elana seems to be somewhat stable and she is getting enough oxygen on her own now. However the vent is doing alot of the breathing for her. I think she got my lazy gene... or at least I am hoping she does. When she would hear me and Michelle talk to the nurse or to her it would shoot way up so she is def capable of breathing on her own. Heres to hoping she is out soon. She will be there at least for a week.

Sorry not feeing up to personals, hopefully Michelle will be discharged tomorrow and can catch up with everyone. I will pass along all of your good wishes.

Denise, congrats on the Boy!

Amy, glad to hear your appointment went well. My doc told me that as long as the meat comes from a reputable deli (like a local, clean supermarket), you are okay. I've been eating deli sandwiches ever since he told me that. I couldn't live without my cubans.

I hope everyone has had a great Christmas! We already got some things for baby, but not too much... homemade blanket, MSU bear (from my folks, who are alums), our small diaper bag and a few other small items.

I also had hubby take the latest pic.. here I am at 23 weeks, 4 days.. almost 6 months! Holy cow!!!

For comparison, here was Thanksgiving, a few days shy of 5 months...

Me and Michelle got a wonderful Christmas gift yesterday. Elana was taken off of the vent and is now breathing on her own. Which is wonderful news. Also Michelle gets to come home tonight!

I hope this message finds everyone enjoying a festive holiday season. As you all know, Elana was born on December 23rd. I am now home after being discharged today....and while it is with some sadness that our beautiful daughter must remain in the childrens hospital, she has given us great gifts already.

I'm not sure how much Knowles has kept everyone up to date while I was in the hospital, but she was taken off the ventilator yesterday and as of this morning, the suction tube that was inserted down her throat to her stomach has also been removed. We were able to have a wonderful visit with her this morning including about 2 hours of holding and cuddling with her. We returned after I was discharged this afternoon to find that she now is under phototherapy due to jaundice, which we expected. So at this time, her major combats continue to be her lungs, the jaundice and weaning off her antibiotics and beginning to take formula. Hopefully she will only be in the hospital 1-2 weeks if all goes as planned.

We appreciate all the prayers as it has been proven they are working as our precious little one continues to fight to come home.
