The congestion was worse tonight, but I'm not convinced it's a cold. For one, it's pretty much gone now except for a dry, raw nose and sneezing every 5 minutes (although I've been sneezing like this for months now)....and usually my ears feel stuffy when I have a cold.

No luck on finding maroon colored bumpers and sheets...however, online I found a Noah's ark bed set that has the same colors as the wall rug, so I will get those instead.

Thanks for the site MadameX. I have to say though, they use a pretty simple method for their index.....low pressure. I can look at a surface map and tell you the same thing that does. But it is a cute idea anyway and there probably is some truth to lower pressure putting women into labor.

Morning Ladies

Ames....so glad you found a set that will work!! I know how relieved I was when I finally found one in colors I preferred.


Well, here it is Saturday morning and I'm up early Between hubby being on top of me all night snoring his fool head off, and the dog NOT sharing my half of a king sized bed with me....I gave up and got up. Hubby's now up with me too and soon we're going to have our final "weekend breakfast" together before baby arrives. Going to make some cinnamon rolls and enjoy the quiet before heading out to get things done.

I'm wanting to get my pup's nails clipped so they won't be long and/or ragged when the baby comes home. Need to pick up a few more bottles for the baby. Now I have another load of baby clothes/things after some girls at hubby's work put together this huge basket of things for us (I swear hubby's gotten more baby gifts than I have LOL). And then hubby has to install the car seat so we're ready to go, which means cleaning out the car first for him LOL, looks like he has a full day!!

Pregnancy wise, feeling fine....still sleeping well when able. Right now the baby's had the hiccups for about the last 1/2 hour which is pretty normal in the morning. Have noticed a pattern to my Braxton Hicks. I tend to get them in the afternoon and evening hours pretty strong. But I know when I was at the docs on Wed. that my cervix was still closed which is a good thing for us

Hope you all have a great weekend....we open presents with my son tomorrow night and have XMas dinner Monday night since we'll be in the hospital! He's sooooooo excited!! Even my ex has agreed to bring him and his camera to the hospital to see the baby on Friday.

Hey ladies....!! Wow...can you believe one week from now is Christmas!?!? I can't believe it! I'm so excited! I just wish this little guy would come out so we could meet him! I'm wondering if he is going to decide to wait another week though...if he does then I am hoping I go into labor like the day after Christmas! Still have a few more things to buy for Christmas today...I know it is gonna be CRAZY shopping today!

Not real good. There has been a dominant high pressure over the southwestern U.S. for a good week now. The Alberta Clippers are getting scooted more to the east because of it. Sorry. But I wouldn't bank on the weather to put ya in labor though.

Grrrr....my dog had broken a glass ornament last week, thought I had it all cleaned up....but damm if I didn't find the ONE piece sticking straight up today. Hubby hopes I never come up missing for all the blood I tracked from the hall to the couch, cuz he'd surely be a suspect LOL. To those of you shopping, I think you are very brave. I have no desire to even go to the grocery store! I was ravenous, so just ate (too much) cooked sushi. Now I am in pain. Seems to be the story of my life these days! That and heartburn that I mistake for hunger. And not sleeping much.

I still have to sew all my crib linens, but keep putting it off...

Ames~I have weird congestion on and off too. It's a pregnancy related thing, I'm not sure why, but many PG ladies actually can talk funny due to all the nasal congestion.

MadameX....oy do NOT go out in the shopping crowds if you can avoid it!! We had to run to the mall to return an outfit my mother sent for the baby that was a double....we were in this horrendous line when thankfully a girl saw me standing there miserable and whispered that there was no waiting in the shoe dept....you never saw me move so fast!!! I think the traffic was the killer though.

Ames....I wanted to tell you that I saw a very deep/dark red plain crib sheet at Target today. They also had the same red with an ecru check pattern.

My day was supposed to be short and sweet... NOT. Turned into an all day shopping extravaganza. Exchanged some stuff at MotherHood Maternity, got some replacement crib latches, got a few Christmas presents and DH's parents bought me a glider! It's really comfy and matches the new baby furniture pretty well.

Audrey's room is really coming together. We should have the curtains and valance up sometime next week, and then I'll post a picture...

Tomorrow is busy too... Take Grandma to church/lunch, then my work's party at night.

Feeling better and better everyday, but still sound horrible. Found out the 3 people I know have this same lung thing going on, so it must be a secondary infection common to the cold everyone has had... ICK!

Hey, everyone, just checking in..

Took off work yesterday and DH and I put up the chair rail in the nursery. I still need to paint it.

Spent 4 (!) hours today at BRU finishing our registry.. or at least that's our intent! I'm sure we'll think of more. We also finished out Christmas shopping, except for each other, so that was nice. We were out from 10 am until 7 pm.. my back and feet are absolutely killing me.

Dena.. I had to laugh about your gripes. I've started wearing pantyliners to bed, because I've had a little trouble with urine leakage in the early hours. It helps.

I'm too exhausted right now to post much else.. later!

Was that at a Super Target? The Target Greatland that we went to didn't have squat...just the light, "cheery" colors. I still think I'd prefer the dark red...so I'm willing to drive 20 miles to the closet Super Target if I've got a chance.

Ames...no it was a regular Target, I try to stay out of the "supercenters" at all costs. It's not normal to me to buy milk where I buy underwear!! That said....I'd call the Target you'd have to drive to and see if they have it. It went with a line they carry of nursery stuff that was dark blue/hunter green/dark red...wish I could remember what was on it...sry

Cute but it got a bad review for shrinking after you wash it. I say get the knit sheet and dye it.

Nope...saw that one though and figured it would shrink like crazy! This one was a realllllyyy deep red and they had another one next to it that was the same red with ecru check pattern. I'm not sure if it's the right "red" Ames needs...but it was the darkest I've seen.

I think I'd probably go the dye route myself at this point. Or see if I can pick up an accent color. We've been lucky in finding lavender and sage green lately.


Well, I'm having a bit of a scare today I woke in the middle of the night to go potty, half asleep. When I returned to the bed I felt a wet spot on the carpet where I crawl out of bed. At the time I didn't think anything of it. So I laid down on my left side and tried to go back to sleep. I then couldn't breathe and it really terrified me as usually that's the "good side" for me. Then, I got up this morning and that wet spot was still on the carpet! Now mind you, there's no color to it and no color when I wipe. I am having some pressure, but not so much contractions. The part that's scaring me is I have only felt the baby kick once today when she's usually very active in the morning. So, I'm hoping once I eat something she'll get more active. So keep fingers crossed.

Hello to everyone else! Sorry I don't have much time for personals today.

We got everything moved from point A to point B yesterday. I was able to avoid heavy lifting, but I did over do it. By the time 9:00 rolled around, not only was my back in severe pain, but my brown spotting had turned to a pink/red. It is back to "normal" today though. I have an appointment w/my aunt for an ultrasound tomorrow morning, wish me and the monkeypock luck! Hopefully my sister and I can get everything in its place by the time dh comes in on Wednesday morning.

I was baking today and had a bad cramp, like really painful menstrual cram. It subsided when I sat down. It has happened before, both times when I have been baking and standing for a long time or at a cocktail party. It doesn't feel like the Braxton Hicks that I have been having, which is just a tightening, not painful.
I had a nice long talk with my Mom yesterday about her pregnancies and deliveries; I hear you often take after your mom on these matters. She said her labors were all really fast and that she and her mom (my G'ma) all had relatively small babies~in the 5+ lb. range.
We'll see!

Kelley....I don't think it was amniotic fluid, it was a rather small spot but the fact I don't know what caused it has bothered me. On the upside, I've felt a few good kicks this afternoon but nothing as consistent as usual. Maybe it's simply because I'm so busy doing things preparing for our XMas dinner/gifts t'nite with my son.
