Good morning ladies!

I slept a lot better yesterday, but woke up all dry and congested....ironic eh? Actually, it's my sinuses that are all congested and my nose and face are really dry. I've actually been really dry "down south" the last few weeks as well and it's making me quite itchy at times. KY seems to help, so I'm sure it's just dryness and nothing else. Must be the cooler temperatures causing lower dewpoints indoors.

Good luck GetNSlim....hope today is the day! We need a December baby...this month is coming to a close quick and no babies yet.

Thanks for the suggestions on the sheets and bumpers. My husband and I are gonna try a few more stores and then if I still can't find any I'll have to try the internet or the dye ideas.

My shift kind of got off to a slow start so I need to play a little catch up. I'll check back later.

Ames

Wow, I'm nowhere near dry down there! (and live in one of the driest states in the nation, LOL). I just bought another mega pack of pantiliners from Costco~no doubt I'll use them all! Normally, when not PG, I have barely any CM. My OB even told me that regular Crisco (not butter flavor ) works to keep everything smooth "down there". I hope you find your crib sheets!

Mandy~Take it easy, hon! If this is the last time for a long time you'll see your DH, I agree you should have some bedroom fun, but just be careful. Does he know all the stuff you're going through?

My DH ordered a "travel system", with the stroller, car seat, two car bases, and I don't know what else. Came shipped in FOUR boxes. We set it up and it is so huge! I can't believe the mounds of stuff that come with a tiny little baby.

I have also been eating so much fruit! FRUIT! It is the one thing I'm afraid I won't be able to give up when I try to lose some post-preggo pounds in a few months. I actually had to buy a larger size of underwear the other day to get me through the rest of this pregnancy.

I will BBL, I'm up early (for me). Where are the Florida girls?

Kelley

Good morning ladies...! Still here and pregnant. I'm about ready to go do a search online about stuff that can cause you to go into labor. I hate having people call me everyday asking me how I'm doing and if today is going to be "the day"! I will probably be going back to sleep, but hubby came home last night so I got up when the alarm went off for him to go back to Gillette.

Ames-I have that same problem...dry and itchy. I am wondering if it is the cold weather lately?? We both live in "cold" states!

Madame-I know what ya mean! Just wait until the first time you go on a trip with them!! Even if it just overnight you have to take SOOOOO much stuff!!

Well, I'm going to go try to get some more sleep...and then I'm going to finish up my Christmas shopping today! Wow, I can't believe how accomplishing these small things makes me feel. I hate to say this, but I can't wait for this baby to be born to be able to lose this weight! I love the feeling of accomplishments!!

Good morning ladies,

Just popping in on my way out the door. I hope everyone has a good day and is feeling well. I've been on a cream cheese and olive craze lately. I HAVE to have one before bed every night, the worst possible time to eat LOL.

Mandy - take it as easy as you can today when you are packing

Have a great day and weekend,
Alli

Morning Ladies!!

Didn't post as early because after I dropped hubby off I actually did 4 loads of laundry, including the last load of baby stuff!! Suddenly the list of "to do's" seems to have grown and made me anxious. Think I'll try to sterilize the bottles/pacifiers today while I'm at it.

While at the laundry facility I had a thought....imagine that!!....anyway, I'm a Pampers diapers/wipes girl through and through, loved 'em with my son. However, I was going through our "coupon share box" in the laundry room and there were tons of Huggies coupons. Hmmmm....I had to wonder if anyone here would want them. Now granted some expire end of Jan., but figured I'd ask! If anyone's interested, let me know....I'd have no problem cutting out/grabbing Huggies coupons and poppin' 'em in the mail. If you're a Huggies fan, maybe you can send me your Pampers coupons.

OK well I'm off to get some stuff done....need to call the office of our complex. The very LOUD people upstairs seemed to have dropped something in their dining room which put a crack/small hole in our ceiling and in turn, I had a stream of sugar ants down my wall last night..UGGHHH. So need them to repair that. Plus we noticed some cold air coming in around our sliding door, and realized/noticed that someone has tried to break in our stationary door and it's now offtrack by 2 inches allowing all the cold air to come in. No wonder my electric bill was so much last month!

Ames....wow, I wish I had the problem with dryness "down south". I definitely have it all over with my skin though. My hubby's about over rubbing lotion on my legs/feet every night but heck I'm lovin it for as long as I can get it!

MadameX....yummm fruit! That's definitely been my biggest craving this pregnancy and I too worry how I'm going to give it up post baby. However, thankfully living in Florida the strawberries will start coming in season just as I get off induction!

GetNSlim.....eggplant parmesan? That seems to work for some. When people call, simply remind them that "technically" you still have a week...after that they can start buggin ya. Although I'm keeping fingers crossed it's soon!!!

Allibaba.....cream cheese and olives together?? I will say I went through a garlic stuffed green olive phase when I was first pregnant. Might explain why hubby wouldn't come near me!

Hi to everyone who pops in later!

First off: AZ, You are in my thoughts today.

Hi to everyone else...

Was home from work yesterday. I felt kinda icky and not much better today but I am here.

Don't really have time for personals...I am unfortunatly really busy today. I have a 2 hour training class this afternoon. How am I ever going to stay awake!?!?

So, I hope this wares off, but right now my first food that makes me is garlic! I am Italian...how is this going to work? Wednesday night I make some chicken and garlic over pasta and I couldn't even eat it. It just smelled horrible to me. Then yesterday DH had left overs and all I could smell when we went to bed last night was garlic. I think he was sweating it out. I did not sleep well because that is all I could smell. If I had had another alarm clock or had it been the weekend, I would have gone and slept on the couch!!

Well, I will try to pop back later.

GetNSlim ~ I hope today is your day!

I'll trade with you. I have some Pampers coupons you can have. I don't have many, but there yours if you want them. PM me.

Edited to add: I found that Luvs Newborn (Size N) work very well until their cord falls off. They are made with a special indention in the front so you don't have to turn them down. But now since his cord has fallen off, I like how high the Huggies come up on him. The Luvs are starting to gap across the top and wet his outfits if he squirms just right.

Yanno Pampers used to have those with the little notch in them when I had my son....but heck if they don't now
Speaking of wetting outfits....my son used to have that issue the older he got due to his "directional peeing" LOL. Guess I'll have to relearn diaper etiquette with a girl!

Good Morning!

I am definitely having an "ugh" day. My underwear is literally hurting me, so I rolled it down under my belly (it did sit about halfway up my belly) and of course, now it just feels weird. Also, I think this pair of maternity jeans are on their way out! They feel tight in the butt, but then they have too much material in the inseam, so that's uncomfortable. I am wearing a sports bra for a little more comfort (its casual Friday) and I just realized that you can see the straps because I am wearing a v-neck. So, I feel like a mess - and its not even 9am Central Time.

Also, I had a "bad" night. I would wake up and go pee, then be WIDE AWAKE for what seemed like a really long time - this seemed to happen 3 times total. It was like a cycle! Fun! So, now my head hurts and my back hurts - not bad, but enough to make me cranky (can you tell??). Everytime I woke up last night, I had this horrible anxiety because I couldn't "feel" the baby. Its not like I feel her 100% of the time anyway - but you know how easy it is to have those weird thoughts halfway between awake and sleep.

Ok, now that I have done more than my fair share of complaining!

I'm glad its Friday! I plan to work in the house, bake a little, finish wrapping gifts, etc. this weekend. I desperately don't want to overdo it though!

Amy - The description of the chicken/garlic/pasta that made you SICK, makes me HUNGRY! :-) I had a few aversions in the beginning, but they went away as fast as they came, so you will probably like garlic again soon enough.

Chelle - Just thinking of 4 loads of laundry makes me tired and cranky! Good for you!

Alli - I have craved olives (any kind at all) for this whole pregnancy!

Slim - Glad to see you still have energy for some of these last minute errands! I hope you have a productive day today!

Madame - I'm with you on the "down south" issue. I do find, however, that I seem to itch where my underwear meets my skin - like where my legs connect to my body (that sounds so dumb...) - anyway, i think my underwear are too tight or something!

Ames - Good Luck with the bumper and sheets. My MIL is making my stuff. She had better get started! :-) I'm glad you slept well. Are you taking anything for the congestion?

Hey - have I just missed it, or has Dena not been around lately?

Hi to everyone else!!

Hi Ladies,

Just checking in. Wow do I have a billion things to do today before we head out on vacation tomorrow! I'm trying to be methodical about it all so I don't get overwhelmed but I'm not sure it's helping much.

I feel pretty good and today I caught a glance of myself in the mirror and realized I actually am starting to look a little pregnant. Probably it's just noticable to me since I'm big around the middle anyway, but the "dent" is definitely disappearing.

I'll try to check back later...

Meg

So, my doctors office just called me to set up another u/s for Monday. They said that the one I had done on Monday was normal for how far along I was but they want to just make sure that as my pregnancy progresses that the heart beat is going up. I guess because I had the spotting they just want to make sure that I am progressing okay.

So, now I have the whole weekend to freak out about it! Great!

Hi guys

So, I convienced myself last night as I was laying in bed that I'd call the docs office this morning b/c my panties have been very damp since Wednesday. Wed night when I was cooking dinner I actually had to go change the pants I was wearing b/c the inner thighs were even damp. I read in some books that if your membranes rupture, its usually a big gush, well, that definatly wasn't a "gush" I have been drinking A LOT of water the past couple of days, so I've been going potty a lot....so this morning I've convienced myself that that wettness on my panties is probably just urine. I have an appt on monday so should I call them today or what?

heather....I'd call today just to be sure and give you some peace of mind. If anything, there's a strip test they can do that will indicate if it's amniotic fluid or urine.

Amy....stay calm and find faith in the fact that they said all was fine, they just want to check the heartrate

Anybody else out there doing formula vs. breast feeding?? I was looking at the bottles I bought in order to sterilize them and I'm wondering how many more I should consider purchasing this weekend. OK you 2nd time moms...how many do you think I need? I had a ton with my son so some never got used...don't have storage space for that this time around so would like to think I have a good number without overdoing it!

Heather -
I had something similar happen to me. I called the DOC and they had me come in right away. They checked my cervix, everything was closed up tight. They decided I had a yeast infection (I had NO symptoms of an infection) and just told me to use an OTC treatment. I have had very watery discharge ever since.

AS my pregnancy has progressed, I am convinced that sometimes that watery-ness is urine. Somedays is worse than others - but I generally always have a "damp" feeling.

I've seen the doc probably 4 times since that initial time. Every time, I tell her about the discharge/dampness/whatever it is and everytime, she tells me its totally normal. She told me to look out for any discharge that has a pinkish tint, or something that looks differently than what I have experienced thus far.

I would call the doc, just to ease your mind and make sure everything is OK. I am sure you are just having some of the same things I have - and you are perfectly fine - but its nice to have the doc confirm that for you!!

Nevermind.....answered my own question!! Checked a few sites and they all recommend 10-12 bottles per day.

Good morning all.

Amy, your doctor sounds so together. I've been spotting for two weeks and they haven't even wanted to see me. You are lucky that your doctor is on top of everything. I wouldn't worry.

I've gotten almost everything packed up. All that is left is some clothes and sheets, otherwise its all done! I cannot wait to move.

I have an ultrasound on Monday and I'm so excited. My best friend is going to go with me, just in case something is wrong. Hopefully everything is still stuck.

Have a great day everyone!

Mandy

Darn it! Lost my post!

Oh well.

Seeing the dr. today. Hopefully I will go good. Swelling is better, but the itchies are not.

Have to buy a new crib. Can't find replacements for the parts DH accidently threw out. Ikea has a nice low to the ground model that turns into a toddler bed for $89. It was actually cheaper than the second hand stores. Go figure!

Hope everyone is doing good. Will check in after my appt.

Just to let anyone know if you're using cloth diapers time for a change is having 25% percent off all orders. Just type in sale123

I ordered a bunch of prefolds and STUFFED fuzzibunz, doublers and snappis for only $184.00 and that'll last Cass until she's out of dipes.

Knowing me I'll keep buying them because they're so damned cute and no more rashes!!! YAY!

Cloth diapers?!?!?! You have my utmost respect!!!
I only bought a pack of cloth diapers to use as burp cloths.

OK, this is SERIOUSLY the last time I'm going to the grocery store for more than 2 bags worth of stuff!! I am so tired and sore now it's incredible. But, everything is bought and I can't think of anything else I might need before we go to hospital.

Mandy...OMG you're a packing maniac!! Good job!

Shandril....are you having hive like itchies? My stomach has been itching like crazy the last few days, even after I put lotion on it. I've even gotten a strange sensation between my breasts and my belly button that itches.

Yup, those are the ones. Dr. says its from the skin stretching and to put your lotion on the second you get out of the shower. It will help. He also recommeded Benadryl and hydrocortisone.

Dr. appt went well. He warned me off salt and told me to elevate my legs above my heart for 20 minutes, three times per day. BP was good

Hi Ladies...

I'm here. I've been on auto pilot. I have been checking on you regularly.

MissGigl - can't wait to hear about the trip. We hope to go somewhere nice as our "last trip", but the soonest we will go is in February, and I am a little nervous about traveling abroad in my third trimester. DH is just dying to go back to Rome. I bought him a calendar so he can keep day dreaming about it, because it will be a while before we get back over to Europe :sigh: . Check back in with us and tell us how it went!!

Ames - thanks for updating the board for us everyday. I look forward to the updates on Mondays. Will you post pictures of the room when you get through?

GetNSlim and Brat (that's what I am going to call you Michelle), I am getting so excited for you. I know the Brat will have lots of details for us when she gets back! GetNSlim - did you do the Eggplant Parm last night?

MadameX - Hey hon!

Alli - I love cream cheese and olives!! I usually add a little garlic and eat the spread over crackers.

Hey Amy - I'm thinking about you. I laugh at your posts because I was right there with you a few weeks back.....smells made me
! You will probably be pretty until that 2nd trimester kicks in. Glad your doctor is staying on top of things.

Mandy - as the other ladies have said......take it easy this weekend. There will be so many ways for you to enjoy each other, just err a little on the side of caution. I'm glad you will have this time with him. Can't wait to hear how your reunion goes!!!

KarateJen - Hey Girl! Good to see you! You would NOT believe all of the Yellow Jacket stuff we have been getting already. It's getting ridiculous. Three or four outfits, 2 ball caps, three bibs, 4 pairs of booties, sippie cups.....I know there are others...jsut can't remember right now. Let me know if I need to send you something!

Shandril - Hey There!

Laprettygurl - Thanks for the link...I've been thinking about cloth diapers...possibly combining both options....haven't decided yet.

Jenn - Hey Sweetie! I haven't been checking in as regularly....but I read every day.

It's funny because the books tell you what is normal, but they don't tell you everything. For example, discharge is normal....but what if you don't have ANY? Breast changes are normal, but what if you don't have ANY? KWIM?

So anyway.....I seem to be carrying this baby pr
