Has anyone asked you if you were pregnant when your not?

UGH, thats bad. I was walking out to get my mail and my neighbor said hey, are you pregnant again? Ummmm, NO!

That goodness, I was ready to fly out to Texas and kick some butt!

I had a girl I went to high school ask me "when the baby was due" -- and I'd just had her... It was so embarrassing cuz she had just had a baby too -- and looked great! I had gained 50 pounds and every bit of it was still on me!

Oh well, I've seen her since, and guess who's smaller NOW.... hehe

Yes, and i have to admit, more than once

I tend to gain weight in the middle quite easily, and after i had kids it pooched even more. Very embarrassing for me and the other person!!

But, it's been a while now since anyone has mistaken me for being preggers! Thank you LC, Firm, and Pilates

Actually no, with hormones still out of whack, I cried a bit, but I was still wearing maternity clothes, wore them til 3 months after, then finally gave in and bought bigger regular clothes. I wish someone had turned me on to LC right away! Instead spend 18 months looking/feeling 5 months pregnant!

I didn't know that -- NEAT!~ I'm jealous and can't wait! But, unless DS surprises me, I'm going to have to wait for a while. My oldest just got married, but her husband is leaving next week for Iraq -- and will be gone for a year and 1/2.

I adopted my daughter 16 months ago and when some people we saw (that knew us but not close friends) said, oh, yea...I thought you were pregnant....
What could I say? I got really good at just smiling and ignoring the statement.

No, that's never happened to me, but at one point, when I was at my heaviest, a coworker mistook me for another coworker who is obese. It was an eye opening moment, and I think that was the first time I saw myself as how I truly looked. I never thought I was "as fat" as my fat coworker, but I was.

Yes - this has happened to me several times this year. We just moved, and I went to interview 3 potential pediatricians for my one-year-old. Each one asked when I was "due." Of course, they are used to pregnant women coming in for a consulation in order to choose doctors, but three times in one day I had to say "I am not pregnant" and watch their eyes slide down to my belly in surprise.

It happened with a new neighbor, too. I was shocked by how much the comment devasted me.

Yellowrose - you're so tiny now. It's hard to believe anyone ever said that to you.

Happened to me in reverse sort of.

I WAS pregnant, in about my 7th month. I was talking to someone and mentioned something about when the baby was due. She said, "well, congratulations... I *thought* you looked pregnant, but I wasn't sure, so I didn't want to say anything." (I wish she'd not said that! LOL)

I was so fat all over that you couldn't tell for sure if I was pregnant or not...

No, but something just as bad, or worse, happened to me. I had gained weight and bought a couple of new dresses in size 16 and 14. One day I was in a thrift store looking for books for my kids. A very thin woman who worked there came up to me and asked what size clothes I wore. I didn't want to tell her that my dress was size 14, but I thought it was generously sized and was really more like 16, so I said, "I'm not sure." She then told me that they had some beautiful dresses in size 3X and pointed to where they were in the store. I was devastated. That was when I realized that the world saw me as obese, not just overweight.

Still a very embarrassing and devastating memory. The woman's granddaughter was in my daughter's preschool class, so I saw her again at preschool events.

Yup..got asked when my son was almost 2! and if you look at my pic..when I found it I thought it was when I was pregnant..my lovely mom informed me my son was already about 5 then!!!
