Cals/Carbs for Pregnancy
Hi
I just found out I am pregnant and want to continue on Atkins but know that I have to switch to Maintence. My question is, for you pregnant ladies, how many carbs are you averaging a day and around how many calories do you think you are consuming? I just want to get a ballpark idea of how much I can eat since I am going from Induction to Maintence so suddenly. Does anyone know the recommended calorie intake for pregnant women in general? Thanks Koshino |

Hi Koshino!
Please join all of us LC preggos in the Pregnancy Thread! There's a lot of us and we share a ton of information daily! As for your question... It's really a matter of personal tolerance. A lot of us throw low carb out the window because of morning sickness or food aversion. I personally had to give up low carb because of food aversions, but know that some others in the thread have had better luck with staying on track. Hope to see you in our thread, it's busiest in the mornings, but we post throughout the day! Dierdre |
