Good morning ladies. Just getting us started today. I didn't sleep very well yesterday....I guess I've got too much on my mind with company coming and my husband's surgery Monday. I feel like a zombie tonight and I'm not sure I'm gonna get much sleep tomorrow either.

Hey ladies,
I can't believe my little baby girl is almost a year old (in January). Time flies so fast and she's growing up before our eyes! We're still TTC #2... I'm 7 dpo with a temp rise two days ago. It's got me hopeful, but it also matches when I got a tummy bug, so I may just be running a low fever. Ames, wow you are getting so close! It seems like yesterday when you were talking about ttc. Hi everyone,
I've been lurking for a few weeks now. I am a friend of karatejen's from another challenge. I wanted to stop by and first say hey, hi I am also pregnant due 5/23/05 and to let you know she had her baby this morning. I don't have many details, but I do know she had her little boy at around 6:30 this morning and both she and the baby are doing fine. I'm sure when they both get home she will have tons of details that she will want to share. I hope everyone had a great weekend and I look forward to getting to know you all better as the weeks move on.

Hi everyone and happy Thanksgiving a little late!!
Congrats KARATEJEN!!! I can't wait to hear your birth story!! The big news here is that my sister had her baby last night! She wasn't due until January 5 but this little guy wanted to come out early!!! It was the funniest thing... she had a little bloody show yesterday morning and called her doctor who just said to rest and come in on Monday to get it checked out. It was so early nobody suspected anything. We had a nice dinner for our grandfather's 97th birthday with all of the family last night and then she went home and was folding all of the baby clothes she had washed when around 10pm when her water broke and she lost her plug! Her DH took her to the hospital and her contractions started around 1am. By 2:30am the baby had arrived! She only pushed 6 times, no drugs, and no episiotomy (she tore a little, needed 1 stitch) - it was a boy, 5 pounds 3 oz. and totally healthy. Is that not the ideal labor?!!! She's my new hero and I pray this is some miraculous genetic thing and I will have the same experience!! I'll bbl, we're going to head over to the hopsital in a bit and meet the little guy. Meg

Hi everyone...thinking of testing in the AM!! I can hardly wait!! AHHHHHHH... My temps are still high and I am technically late. OMG, OMG, OMG...did any of you who were ttc get a little scared to find out you were pg?? I mean I will be happy but I am a little scared! I should proably calm down. I don't even have a result yet...
Anyway, quick personals: Tek ~ congrats on being PG!! How exciting! Karatejen ~ can't wait to hear all about the birth!! Woo, Hoo! Meg ~ congrats to your sister. You must be a happy auntie. I just want to pop in and join your club, lol. Dh and I found out I'm pregnant over the holiday. Two HPTs said pregnant, but I haven't had it confirmed by a blood test yet. All the due date calculators I've found online say my due date is 7/30/05. My aunt does ultrasounds for a living, so I'm going to go and get one done later this week, just to make sure everything is normal. We're not telling anyone until Christmas though. It'll be a tough wait.

I'm off to get some sleep...having such a hard time sleeping between comfort and anxiety over work/finances. Wasn't even able to fall asleep last night until 6am...so I'm due for a nap LOL. Tomorrow is not only hubby and my first anniv....but I also go to the doc in the afternoon. Hopefully all is well and I won't have yet again another weight loss *fingers crossed* |

Back from the hospital! My little nephew is totally adorable! He was so fun to hold, just perfect! My sister and her DH looked great, just a little tired, probably more from the visitors than the labor!! My DH was so cute too... I really can't wait til ours arrives now. Amy, I tried to send you a PM but your box was full. Mainly I was just going to say, DEFINITELY TEST!!! But don't get discouraged if it's negative, you aren't out until AF shows and some women don't get a positive until 18 dpo or later.I also advise that you test with a good quality test. Let us know what happens, it so exciting! Got my fingers crossed for you. Welcome Mandy! |

A couple of questions... with my first pregnancy I felt my daughter kick at about 15 weeks. Everything I read says you'll feel it earlier (most likely) with second pregnancies, but nothing says HOW much earlier it could be. So, I have a couple questions:
1. How far along were you when you first felt your baby kick? 2. Is this your first, second, third, etc baby? |
