My boost of energy didn't arrive until probably week 21 or 22....but when it did it was unbelievable! Suddenly my eyes were opened to how messy the house had gotten and how much needed to be done and I got an intense urge to get everything done or else it would bug me more! I literally went from feeling like I would never feel good again and have no energy to feeling like I was superwoman!

Well, I'd better go expend some more of that energy. I'm going to make some chili and 6 casseroles tonight. I wish I could cook for all you gals that can't or don't want to...I love it!

I'll check back later after the doula comes and let ya'll know how that turns out...she did have to work today and forgot to let me know...but that's ok since it was only contigent anyway.

Everyone have a great Friday!

*yawn* Well it happened again...woke at 2am with an anxiety attack and was up until around 4. Finally fell asleep again for another hour and a half. I think I'm in for a long/tiring day but at least it's supposed to be cooler outside so maybe I'll stay awake. The whole time I was up, lil one had the hiccups...in fact, she has them again now LOL.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Okay, I'm sensing a pattern here...SOMEONE woke me up again at 5:30 AM with her kicking. I usually feel her after I eat, but 5 in the morning?! Do you think this means she will wake up at that time after she's born? I am so not a morning person. I can tell she's getting stronger.

Ames~Have fun cooking. I made chili last night! I used stew beef and no beans and put it in my crock pot...turned out awesome! Then banana bread and cranberry bread...I have to bake before my DH gets home; he hates the temptation of smelling something yummy in the oven. Then I usually freeze it or give it away. He got home last night so I guess I will step away from the mixing bowls...

Desp~I'm so sorry about your anxiety attacks, is it all the OSHA stuff? There must be someone assigned to the case load of the vacationing investigator, or they should allow you an extension I would think. Good luck.

Kelley

MADAME - I already feel like a failure in the eating dept... I don't need help! LOL!

MICHELLE - I'm so sorry. It must be rough with the panic attacks!

AMES - I hear ya. I love to cook too. I've just been too lazy to clean up. GAH! I'm gonna get my butt in gear today though.

Nothing special planned for this weekend. Switching out kids on Saturday morning (We're getting Devon, Allison's going with her dad).

BTW - I feel awful for Billy (Allison's dad). He and his wife are expecting, and right after she found out she was pregnant... *POOF* She was laid off. Now a few weeks ago, HE was laid off. (Probably because he was the highest paid guy there.) They're both on unemployment, and they've filed for assistance for now. And now, she's found out she has gestational diabetes. JEEZ! When it rains, it pours, huh?

He told me he was depositing money into my account today, and would try to put the previous month's in next week. I told him not to worry about next week unless he knew he could. We're in a tight spot too, but I'm not going to drain the guy dry right now. I dunno... This whole child support thing... Maybe I should just have Billy pay Hank's ex. Then with Hank not paying out, I wouldn't need him to pay me. LOL! That would cut out a lot of problems, huh? j/k

Good morning, ladies. Feeling better today after hubby came home last night and my emotions are a little better under control. A friend and I plan on going to dinner and Shall We Dance tonight, so that otta be fun! Wow, is another week already almost gone?!? I'm started to get worried...I feel like there is soooooooo much more I need to do! Plus, DH is starting to talk about moving so that we don't have to be seperated so much. I know it will be difficult for me to move, with all my family and his here. It might be the best thing for us...there are just so many things it is all SOOOOOO confusing.

Ames-I wish you could cook for me too!! I like it when I do it, it is just getting the motivation to do it!!

DIF-That is so wierd about the hiccup thing. I have heard so many women mention it and I haven't ever felt it with any of my three pregnancies!!

Madame-They same that your baby develops a routine in utero, and that is their routine when they come out. I have definately noticed that to be true!! That is why I think it is best to try to get your baby on a schedule ASAP! My son (who is the younger of my 2 children) has been on a schedule since about 2 weeks old, and he is so much easier to deal with than my daughter!! I am still working on trying to get my daughter on a schedule and she is almost 3!!

Jennifer-Wow, you're right...when it rains it pours!! Maybe you should have your ex just pay Hank's ex!!LOL It does seem like it would be much simpilar!!!

Hello to all the ladies that come in after me. Has anyone seen Chelsea in awhile?!? Maybe I just missed her post. Just wondering!! Have a good day everyone!

LOL! I would think about it, but unfortunately, Hank pays more than I get paid. Dang. LOL!

GETNSLIM - Does DH work out of town? That would be tough. I know my dad was always out of town (he'd come home a few days out of every month), and it was hard on my mom.

Good morning mommies... TGIF!

I slept a lot better last night and feel better today. I don't have that absolutely drained feeling, so that's nice. I'm looking forward to the weekend. Tomorrow I'm having my last prenatal massage and I'm going to a baby shower for a friend on Sunday. Other than that, it should be pretty relaxing.

Ames: Man, I had energy in my 2nd tri, but never like you! I'm so jealous!!!

Michelle: I'm sorry about the anxiety attacks!!

Kelley: I've wondered that too! Is the schedules that our babies keep in utero, going to be the schedules they keep after they are born??

Jenn: Ugh, that really sucks for them. I can't imagine both being laid off, how terrible.

GetNSlim: Enjoy dinner and the movie tonight with your friend. It will be a nice distraction for you.

Schedules... I don't know how true this is... Both of mine would move a lot at night, but both were good sleepers. Allison was probably the better of the two, but still... As long as you kept Anna up until around 11pm or midnight, she'd sleep until 5 or 6 in the morning, right after she was born. Now, she's my angel. She goes down at 8:30 - 9pm, and sleeps until almost 7am. I can only pray this next one will be so good!

SARAH - I'm so glad you're feeling better! Relish it... You usually feel like crap (yeah, I know you know - lol) all during the last weeks.

See, I want THAT!

Sarah~Sounds like a great weekend you have planned, and you can't go wrong with a massage! I haven't been to someone else's baby shower since I got PG. That should be fun. My shower isn't until January, but DH and I already bought most of the furniture, so I wonder what we'll get?

GetN~Glad you're feeling better. Why does your DH want to move? To be closer to work?

Hi Amy! Yeah, I'm glad that book is just a loaner, and I didn't spend the $$ on it.

LOL! Even with a great baby, it won't happen soon... I think we got her schedule down at 2 months... That's when she started sleeping more than 5 or 6 hours at night. Still, I admit that I'm darned lucky.

Hey Amy ~ AF showed up, was really heavy for almost two days and then switched to spotting. Weird, but it was really, really heavy so maybe just having a longer cycle than usually screwed me up.

Anyway, I feel bad that all I do it pop in, scan for anything directed to me and then post something really quick.

Don't hate me...I always read all your posts later.

Anyway, at lunch today, I am going to CVS and buying a saliva ovulation monitor and some Instead Cups. Hoping they help!!

Well, got to get back to work!

Hi everyone...by everyone!

SmileyAmy~ I have heard really good things about the instead cups. Alot of girls on the TTC boards seem to get pregnant relatively quickly using those. Hopefully this will be your month!

Good morning to all other mommies and mommies-to-be.

Nothing really to report here. I believe my morning sickness kicked in this morning. I hate the nauseous feeling. I would rather just throw up then feel constantly sick to my stomach. I know, this too shall pass, right?

Happy Friday everyone!

Hi all. Just checking in. About three days ago, I started feeling really lightheaded and dizzy. Finally went to the doctors and they said I had ketones in my diet and wasn't eating enough. Wasn't eating enough . So I know have been eating more protein snacks and the dizzy spells have gone away.

I went yesterday to do the glucose testing. I got there at 3:50 and the stupid lady goes they close at 5. I say yeah and...??? its ten to four. She knew not to mess with me and gave me the drink. I was out of there at 4:55. I'm up to my two week appointments on. Oh gained another five lbs.

How is everyone else?

Sarah, not long to go now. Are you off work?

Hey Viki!! I'm not off work yet, but have decided that Wednesday of next week is my last day. WOOHOO!!!!! I'm glad to hear you are doing well!

AZ: Sorry the m/s has kicked in, but it will get better. I found mine a lot more controllable if I ate small meals/snacks throughout the day.

Mrs Sarah~ I didn't realize how close you were. Congrats on only a few more days left of work! You must be ecstatic over the thought of your little one being here very soon!

With regard to the instead cups, it is my understanding that you use them after bd'ing to hold the sperm up to your cervix. The instead cups are usually used during your AF and can be left in for up to 12 hours. A lot of women have good luck with getting pregnant after using them after bd'ing.

AZ already told you abou it, but supposedly you can use them instead of having to stand on your head after BDing. You just pop them in and go about your day no gymnastics involved. LOL

Hi everyone. I'm so dizzy and nauseous I can't even see straight. No chance of ketones going on here. I can only eat bad starchy carby food. WTH? LOL I WILL NOT eat like this for my whole pregnancy. I cannot. I can't even get up and work out anymore and that is killing me.

Amy-Can I ask how long you've been TTC?

Here is a link to a question I asked the AN on the other board. FYI
LC and pregnancy

Becca~Thanks for posting that link. I plan to breastfeed, but had hoped to go back on Induction as soon as I can after I deliver. From that response, it sounds like a bad idea. Hmmm, wonder what to do?

Hey, gilbabe, I have to say I am not really worrying about carbs this pregnancy. However, I would like to say, that after I had my DS (who is now 15 1/2 months old ) I started strict induction level carbs the day after my 6 week checkup. (This time around I plan to let my milk come in really good, and then go back to induction between 1-2 week post-partum) I was able to lose all my weight including the weight I hadn't lost from having my DD (who will be 3 Dec. 3) in 3 months! I continued nursing my DS until he was 8 months old. I don't know if any of the ladies are still on here, but a group of ladies did testing for Ketones in their breast milk by using the kestosis test strips and the only time there was ever ketones was after they exercised. I can atest to this also, as everytime I came home from running my son wouldn't want to nurse and he would make a face...so I pumped breastmilk before I went for a run and would just have DH feed him. I say go about losing the weight as you would like to after you have the baby, but I myself do not believe that it is harmful to go back to induction level carbs. My son is extremely healthy and he is just now getting his first cold! Just some info for you...but go at your own risk!

SmileyAmy, yes, my DH works out of town. It is only an hour and a half away...so moving there really wouldn't be like I was moving across the country from my parents and family. I kind of like the thought of us being "on our own" as we both grew up here and it kinda feels like you know everyone in town and they are judging every move we make!
