Morning Ladies!!

Everything went well yesterday at my docs appointment. BP is good, only gained 4 lbs. in my 6th month (man it feels like 40 though), blood sugars looked good, heartbeat sounded great and got my lovely little RH shot. Talked to the doc about some questions I had regarding a planned C-Section. It was the first time meeting this particular doc in the practice and she was sooooo young but made us feel so comfortable immediately. So as of now, I'd handle any of the docs but one delivering this child.

Woke up twice last night completely soaked in sweat even with the AC cranked. I think it's stress over this stupid glucose test this morning. The previous test came back at a 81 which was "excellent"...yeah well for 2 1/2 hours later draw. I'm really hoping I pass as well today and forgo the 3 hour.

Hubby actually started on the rocking chair last night!! I was completely shocked how far he got so maybe he will get it done after all!

Have a great day everyone!!

DinFL~good luck on the test today. I hope everything goes as it should. I didn't sleep well last night either.

Vixen~I can't wait to get my brain back either. At my 2nd ultrasound I asked the u/s tech "are those his teeth?" Sad thing was that I didn't realize it until about 3 hours later. At least we have an excuse.

Good morning to everyone else!

Good morning everyone. I finally spoke with my MD after a week after my ultrasound and she did her best to convince me I do not need another ultrasound and having one now would not show anything. The worst case would be if this is evasa previa, which would mean at delivery I would have to deliver 2 placentas (yuck) and run the risk of hemorraging (cool) but the baby is fine not to worry and I looked at the video tape last night and the baby does look fine so I am done worrying. My next appt was for 11/19 and she moved it to 11/3 and if she does not hear a heartbeat she will do an ultrasound. I have a nice fat barrier so I am guessing I will have an ultrasound.

Sunday we told my parents and inlaws about the new baby. My youngest DS who is 2 1/2 announced he was going to be a a big brother. My in laws did not take it well. My FIL said "ARE YOU CRAZY" and my MIL said I hoped you saved all the baby clothes because I am not buying any more baby clothes! I wanted to say I never asked you to buy clothes in the first place. My parents were shocked but now they are thrilled. Monday I went to my inlaws and they did not say a word about the baby nothing. My mom called and asked how do you feel, we are so excited blah blah blah, my sisters got up and kissed us and were super excited. My parents will have 7 grand kids my inlaws 3, why are they worried about money

Anyway now that people know it feels so much more real and I am getting more and more excited! Yesterday my 3 yr DS saw a baby and he said is that like the one growing in your tummy?
Have a great day everyone!

good morning

Aiden is 2 weeks old today! Wow how time flies..........

You gals won't believe how fast your pregnancy goes by and you become a mom,,,,,,,,,,,,, and boy how your life changes..........

I have been doing good with getting sleep............ I go to bed at 9 and DH gives him one bottle of formula at 11:30 and puts him to bed. Then Aiden wakes up around 2 - 3. I feed him and put him back in his swing and it rocks him to sleep in the living room and i crash on the couch........ I get at least 6 hours a night, which ain't bad..............................

Anybody here hear of the book Babywise or use it? Picked it up yesterday, very interesting............... I am trying it........... It is supposed to help baby develop a feeding.sleeping schedule......

Well i will check in again later.

amy

Good Morning Girls!

DD & I have a busy day, but I wanted to pop in & say "hi" before we're off.

Ames ~ Sounds like you've got an interesting morning! Hope you have a good day!

DFL ~ Lots of luck on that glucose test today! I hope they don't give you any more problems!

KJen ~ Yep, my brain seems to be slowly eroding, with my memory being the first to go. It's a wonder I remember my name most days!

Mom2Boys ~ Sorry about the in-law's reaction! Hopefully they'll come around & get used to the idea.

Amy ~ Sounds like you've started your little guy out on a pretty good sleep schedule! I've never heard of that book, but probably could have used it with my DD! She was a horrible sleeper until about 6 weeks & then all of a sudden she started sleeping straight through the night. Scared me to death the first time she didn't wake up at all the whole night! I jumped out of bed & woke her up just to make sure she was breathing!

Well, I've got to get going. Hope all you girls have a great day & I'll try to get back in here tonight.

Amy ~ Glad you are feeling better. Can't believe two weeks have already passed! Amazing.

Hi to everyone else...busy today.

Well, my temp dropped this morning so either (with help from Meg ) it is implantation which is highly unlikely because I am only 4 DPO or I am supposed to get TOM in the next day or two. I am going for TOM - I have never been late - ever. So if I do get TOM, I am going to call my doctor (again advised by Meg) and see if there is anything she can put me on to make my cycle longer.

Well talk to you all later...

Wow, what a night! Haven't been that busy in a while! I'll be on the domestic surface desk tonight, which will be a snoozer.

Yesterday, I went and tackled some leaves. My sweetie helped, but I'm kind of wishing he wouldn't of. We were both really sore afterwards....but we got 10 large bags of leaves filled and raked a bunch more down to the end of the yard. Felt good to put a dent in it, but I hope my sweetie will be ok....he says that he is more sore in his back than where his hernia is, so I guess that is good. Today he is not going to do anything but be a bum before work so hopefully he'll be better tomorrow.

Well, I'm off to go give my sweetie a haircut...he needs it bad. I'm so glad that I learned how to do that. I can't imagine how much we'd be paying for haircuts since he needs it done about every 3 weeks. I'll check back before I head to bed.

Good Morning All!

Well, may aunt dropped off a baby "gift" last night...it was a HUGE pink basket full of baby stuff plus about 25 outfits, all for a girl! She had bid on it in a charity auction. It is so big, I will try to post a picture of it. It has books, toys, a car shade, bath supplies, etc. I can't imagine needing anything else, LOL! The clothes go from newborn to 12 months! When I got up this morning and saw it on the dining room table, I was scared because I couldn't remember what this huge thing was.

I slept pretty bad too. My lower back hurts so bad, I need to get on all fours and try to move baby off my spine. I can't stay in bed once I'm awake. I don't want to take Tylenol because I know it's the baby putting pressure on my back. The muscles aren't sore when I rub them. Anyone else have this? I'm sure it will only get worse.

I splurged and made pumpkin bread this morning (yes, with flour, sugar, etc.) I will try to give most away and freeze some. The house smells great. DH is not pleased; he's really sticking to LC!

Meg~That Birthing Inn looks great! Lucky girl! I'm glad you like your new docs, and that they're closer.

Smiley~I think implantation dip is a myth anyway, but it could just be a fall-back pattern, which is normal. It happens when the estrogen drops and the progesterone kicks in. Just wait and see what tomorrow's temp is.

LittleBear~I have heard of that book! I will check it out. I'm so glad you're feeling better.

BlueEyedGrl~I had to laugh that you woke your DD up when she slept through the night! Did you see "Terms of Endearment?" Have a good day!

Mom2Boys~ I'm sorry about the in-laws reaction too. What a bummer. I just don't understand when people do that. They should be ashamed.

Desp~Good luck on the GD test! I'm sure it will be fine.

Hi KJ and Ames!

Good morning ladies!

I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon. I'm really looking forward to it. We're getting another ultrasound and he's going to check me to see if I'm progressing at all. I'm praying I am... I am SO ready to be done.

I haven't ever felt Braxton Hicks contractions, but last night... HOLY MOLY. Did I ever feel them. I was getting them every five minutes. I probably got 10 or so. They weren't painful, just uncomfortable because my entire belly would get SO hard. It was such a weird feeling. My nipples have gotten really sore and I'm getting cramping and backache. I'm hoping all of this means something... we'll see!

DFL: I'm so glad your appointment went okay! I hope your glucose test goes alright. I'm sorry you have to do it again! And WOOHOO to hubby for starting the rocker!

Jen and blueeye: Morning!

mom2two: I'm sorry your inlaws didn't react well. How rude! I hope they come around.

littlebear: Glad to hear you are doing okay!! I can't believe it's been 2 weeks already!!

Smiley: I'm glad you are going to talk to your doc if you do start TOM. I hope this all works out soon!!

Ames: Good for you on the leaf raking!! That's great!!

Kelley: I went through the same pains that you are. I would be so tired, but I had to get up because laying in bed was SO painful. It does get better. Your bones and ligaments, etc are all shifting and stretching right now.

Sarah! Cramping and back ache are syptoms of real labor not BH!!!! But don't worry, I had real contrax a few times a day for the last 6 weeks. It is normal for your body to start practicing before the real event.

Vixen, I had to laugh at your pregnancy brain post yesterday. I locked the keys in the truck one time but fortunately I had remembered to turn the engine off.

MOM2TWOBOYS - I can't understand why they'd be upset??? That's THEIR issue, so I would try not to let it bother you. What inconsiderate people.

SARAH - I'm hoping too! I can't wait to see that little boy, so I can only imagine how excited you are!

HI SMILEYAMY, JEN & BLUEEYEDGIRL!

AMY - Sounds like you're doing well! It's great that you're getting sleep.

MADAME - WOW! What a surprise! That basket sounds really cool.

MICHELLE - I hope your next glucose test comes back with great results too. Hopefully it will.

AMES - Wow... You and DH be careful... Although, I'm sure it felt good to finally get all of that done!!!

Well, I got my soup last night. I've been craving soup like nobodies business, so I just made some simple chicken soup, but it hit the spot. I have more for lunch today. YUM!

I need to start exercising too (I'm harping on this huh?)... I have my videos out and ready... Now I just need motivation.

Hi, girls, very busy.

We didn't get the bid yesterday, but still lots of paperwork to follow up on for minority participation in case the first two bidders drop out.

Had a dentist appt. this morning.. a little bleeding the hygenist was concerned about, but understands that's possibly due to pg.

Ultrasound later today WHEE!, so lots of work to cram in between! I'll be back later!

Oh, and just HAD to add.. to Lizzy and Amy.. wow Sox!! In all my years of watching baseball, I have NEVER seen something so idiotic as what A-Rod did last night. That was completely a move of desperation and frustration, and totally uncalled for.

Go Sox, but more importantly, GO CARDS!!!!!!

Michelle - glad the dr's appt went well. Crossing my fingers that the glucose test went well also.

Mom2totwoboys - Gee, your inlaws sound really rude!

Babywise - the Babywise book and the guy who wrote the book are very controversial. There is more than one edition of the book and the newer versions are supposed to be less controversial but a lot of his advice/recommendations are contrary to what is recommended by mainstream experts such as The American Academy of Pediatriacs. The book has also been criticized by Focus on the Family and Dr. Barry Sears. I chose not to read the book because my personal approach to parenting is demand feeding and not trying to put a baby on a schedule and I knew that his approach would not work for me. I would suggest that if you are interested in following his approach that you do some research regarding the pros and cons of his system. Here's a website I found that has a lot of links to information regarding the controversy: http://www.ezzo.info/

Kelley - MMM, pumpkin bread sounds really good.

Sarah - Hope the cramping and backache means things are starting to happen.

I had a dr's appt today. Everything looked good including the baby's heartrate and my blood sugar levels. I mentioned the cramping I had on Saturday to my dr and told her that it subsided after I drank water and laid down. She said that it was probably due to overexertion or dehydration then but went ahead and checked my cervix to be sure. It is still closed and long as it should be at this point. She went ahead and did the swab for Group B strep today too. I start going every week now and they will do the non stress test next week. I am scheduled for an ultrasound to estimate fetal size and check positioning on November 8th.

Hi ladies!!!

I wanted to introduce myself, I have been a regular luker on the main board and the century board. I want to get to know you ladies because hubby and I have decided to stop the pill and see what happens!!! Im excited and scared at at once. I don't know many people who have been or are pregnant, plus we are keeping the "trying" part a secret. It is BURSTING out of me!!! So I thought I could gleen some info from you all once in a while.

This morning was the first day I took my basal temperature. I was sooo worried I would move to much and "wake up" this morning before I took my temp that I didn't sleep well! What a goof I am.

If you don't mind, I would like to see how long it has taken some of you to achieve pregnancy after stopping the pill. I know everyone is different, but the info would help.

Thanks, and again Hello!

I'm back.. u/s went great! Baby was very very busy and gave us quite a song and dance. Arms waving everywhere, trying to suck it's thumb, kicking it's legs, wiggling it's whole body. It must have liked my lunch. It kept straightening it's right leg and leaving it like that. Hmmm.. I'm thinking soccer.

Anyways, all looked good. Due date still 4/16, so it's growing perfectly.

Otherwise, feeling better here. Slightly nauseous last night, but I've been alot less tired.. or else I'm just used to it.

Looks like everyone else seems to be having a pretty good day. Later!

Alissa: and congrats on TTC!! I hope everything goes quickly for you! There are a lot of ladies on here that are TTC as well. I came off the pill and waited to start trying for over a year. It took me 10 months to get preggo after we started.

Hi there, and WELCOME! DH and I are trying for our first too- it's been 8 months now, and I really do wish I had started temping earlier, so it's good you are doing it now. Isn't it such an exciting thing to start trying?!?! I felt like I had this huge secret all the time, and it was SO hard not to tell people. I can't imagine what it'll be like when I actually do get pregnant- I'll have to tape my mouth closed to keep from telling everyone I see!!!

Anyway, welcome, and congrats on starting to try for a baby!!!

Christina and Dar~ Yay on the appointments! I will check out that website, Christina. My cousin tried it, but then her baby got sick and she had to feed on demand.

Alissa! Charting is great. Don't worry too much about raising your temp by moving (unless you run around the block first). It took us 16 cycles after I came off the pill but after 6 months we discovered hubby had MFI issues, so I didn't consider it my problem (well it was, but, you know...). After we got it straightened out and did IUI, I got PG right away! Good luck! Glad you are here with us!

Hi there! I am TTC also. Came off the pill about 5 months ago, but this is only my second cycle TTC. I am on Day 27 of my cycle and I am pretty sure nothing has happened. So, on to another month. I just started charting my temps this month and am still learning - you will see me asking a lot of questions.

So, welcome, and good luck TTC!
