Good morning ladies!

for our Florida mommies....don't get washed away! Glad that it's diminished in strength.

Woohoo! This is day 4 without the nausia medicine! I really haven't felt nausious at all except the second day...but it seems I have indigestion a lot now. Today I had heartburn too, but it wasn't terrible. Oh well, it's better than throwing up and I can tell the doctor next week that I'm drug free! LOL!

NOOOOOOO! I want a boy! Send some blue baby dust my way.
I have a feeling it's going to be a girl though. I'm ok with having a little girl....it's when she gets to puberty that scares the crap out of me! I'd much rather have obnoxious little boys than moody teenage girls, LOL! No wonder all my friends in high school were boys....I couldn't get along with any of the other drama queens (yep I swear they're all that way)!

I woke up about 5 am to go potty and i was all groggy and forgot that i was planing to test. My friend gave me 2 of her extra OPK's so i took another OPK this afternoon and got a line that was even darker. I was thinking about doing another HPT on the 4th, since AF is due on the 5th. What do you think?? I am still not wanting to belive the whole OPK thing just to get my hopes up. I will keep you posted, it will be very interesting to see if the OPK thing really works.
I don't know how OPK work for checking if you're pregnant...but if I were you I would get an HPT to test.

Well, that's all for now. Have a great holiday weekend!

Morning Everyone!! Hope you all have a good Holiday Weekend.

We're off this morning to hit the Labor Day Baby Sale at Sears....my son wants to buy the baby some things. He's such a little man at 8 already!! My hubby and I will be celebrating our 1 year anniv. end of Nov. and my son told him the other night on the phone that he loved him. To me, that's a big step for a step-son/step-dad relationship so we're a bit emotional this weekend.

Congrats, Chelsea!! That's wonderful!!

Sorry I didn't post anymore yesterday...my MIL took the kids for about 3 hours and I slept the whole time. Then after I went to get them we went to McDonald's where my son (who is one) bit through his tongue and into his lip...so he wasn't able to suck on his pacifier or bottle...needless to say I had a really sleepless night last night and no chance to get online!

I wish you, Amy, on wanting another boy. The difference between my daughter and son is amazing...!!! Oh well, I love her anyway! I can't wait to find out on Thursday!

Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend...it turned nice here so maybe we'll go up the mountain or something! Be careful mommies!

Happy weekend, ladies....

I keep hoping and wishing that I'll go into labor sooner than next Friday, and get it over with!! I'm so tired, so sore. I feel like there's a bowling ball between my legs because his head is so low. I can no longer lay down in bed for more than 5-10 minutes because it's so painful. Not to scare off any of you who are early on, but this last week is just miserable!! I've been crampy, but nothing I can honestly call contractions yet.

Congrats, Chels!!

Amy, I've done the girl thing for 9 years now. It's been fun! I'll let you know in a few weeks if boys really are easier!!

WOO HOO, Chelsea, Congrats! We got pg our first real month of trying (after drugs) and were so surprised, too.

I was expecting our parents to get their pictures today, but they have not called. So, I have a feeling they didn't get them. They probably got stuck in traffic on I-75 with everyone fleeing FL.

Looks like Frances is heading right for us (we're northeast of Tampa), but we're as prepared as we can be. It shouldn't have too strong winds by the time it comes here, but just lots of rain. We've only had one rain band so far, but another is coming. It's been pretty windy all day.

Gotta run.. later!

Hey, Dar, keep letting us know how everything with "Frances" is progressing there. We're keeping you in our prayers.

I know exactly how you feel, Teach2Live, my son was head down from 20 weeks on and I was efaced 70% and dialated to 3-4 for about 3 weeks until I went into labor...I had him on his due date! that you will go into labor early as I know how painful that is!

Congratulations Chelsea!

Ellen, I hear you! Although I do feel better than I have in a while due to central AC, my back is killing me. I have had terrible sciatica since we got here, thanks to a too soft bed. It is so bad that I find myself wishing for narcotic pain killer (me, the one who wants a totally natural delivery....LOL). When I go see my midwife next Wed (if I have not delivered by then) I am going to have someone meet me there with my own bed! It seems like I packed half the house to come here, how could I have forgotten my bed! Hope you get some rest before the big day!

Trolly, where are you? I am sure you must have a baby in your arms because we haven't heard from you.

Ames, wtg on no nausea meds!

Dar and Desp, please be safe this weekend.

Thought I'd check in while having power. We've been losing it off/on throughout the night as the feeder bands from Frances come through. Hubby had to make an emergency run earlier and said there was a lot of landscaping debris already blocking roads in our area. We're seeing winds at times that are high, but nothing like the East Coast needs to prepare for tonight. Hate that this is such a slow moving storm...as the flooding will be bad and we're in the first area to evacuate (low lying). Dar....BE SAFE!!

Teach and Suzanne....hope you two get some comfort soon and meet your little ones!!!!

I did hit the sale at Sears this morning. I was shocked at how much we saved as on a site my hubby found we also had $10 off coupons plus the 25% off ON TOP OFF the 30% off baby stuff. My son had a blast buying stuff for the lil one!

Suzanne... You have my sympathy. I cannot even lie down in my own bed. Been sleeping in the recliner for weeks now. Poor dh is getting nothing, not even cuddles, because I just can't get comfy lying down.

Little Bear... I'm amazed you're still teaching. I went to the first day of school (last Monday) and that was IT. No way could I have lasted 2-3 weeks. It was all I could do to get through that day with my teaching partner doing a good share of the work. I had permission to go to an inservice on Friday, but decided it was better to stay at home and rest. Too tired!!!!

Hope all of you in FLA are staying dry. Talked to my G'ma in Orlando earlier and she said they still had power, but were expecting to lose it as they did with Charlie. Stay safe!!!!!

Hi Mommies-

Chelsea- Congrats.

To Ellen, Amy, Suzanne- sorry you guys are so miserable. I can't beleive I still feel so good. I am going to work until the last possible day myself. Everyone says I don't look like I am going to have a baby in around 3 weeks.

Sarah- You would be so proud of me. I don't go to garage sales but I went to an craft show in a small town in Ohio yesterday and alll the people in the town have garage sales the same day since they don't have parking for the craft show and you have to walk past most of the houses. Anyway someone had a bassinett out and I saw it on my way in and decided to inquire about it. I ended up getting it for $15- It's really nice to- it has a vibrating feature or it can be rocked. Never used.

Well we have to get ready to go to a babtism. If I don't get a chance to check back in I hope everyone has a nice labor day. Hope all you florida mommies are ok!!!

Hi, guys, just wanted to check in. We are doing fine here. Winds are heavy at times, and rain is, but for the most part it's periods of wind, then calm, wind, then calm. It's been picking up the past hour, though. We are not in a flood zone, but could lose power. Plan for today is to finish my cross stitch and catch up on some reading.

Our families' DID end up getting the pictures yesterday, so I spent alot of time on the phone in the afternoon. All were very excited. I didn't talk to my Mom long, since they had company and we also had friends over by the time she called - she was more concerend about the weather. But had good conversations with MIL and SIL.

Other than that, I still feel like I'm gaining alot of weight (7 lbs so far), and it has me worried. But I'm having trouble eating lower carb. It's gotten bad the past few days.

Still hanging in here....just lost power again...ugghhh. Needless to say my son was more than happy to play Yahtzee while we watched the storm outside. We're waiting for the hurricane wall to enter our county and then I'm sure we'll lose power again. I'm still amazed that it's still a Level 1 hurricane instead of a tropical storm by now.

Will check in later....happy holiday weekend!

Congrats, Trolly! and Welcome Sophie!!! How exciting!

Doing fine here, as well. We haven't lost power, and hopefully we stay that way. We're prepared even if we do.. have some steaks thawed out for the grill! Just really cruddy outside.. lots of gusty wind and lots of rain. We haven't lost any trees, but some neighbors with newer trees have. I'm worried about my roses.

The most frustrating thing is that the local networks seem to be trying to out-do each other with the most nauseating coverage they can come up with. I'd love to have been able to watch my football game.. anything to take my mind off this sloooooowww storm. It's getting rather boring and we're getting a little stir crazy.

We're going to get hit again in a bit, the eye is coming right for us and will be here soon. Later!!
