Morning!! Wishing you all a wonderful and restful weekend. Everyone in Florida....keep safe over this weekend.

All is well here so I'm going to keep it short and sweet. For those of you who haven't seen, there's a big baby sale at Sears this weekend on clothes. KMart is having a large one on clothes/cribs/bedding. Thought I'd let ya'll know

As ready as we're going to be here.. Double checked the batteries, have some water set aside, and some ice. Otherwise, not much we can do. We are high enough we won't flood, but I'm not looking forward to what 12+" of rain will do to my yard and landscaping.

We went to Home Depot last night.. it was a madhouse. So we went right down the street to Lowe's.. quiet as can be. Very weird. Of course, Lowe's is on the other side of the interstate.. I guess that's the other side of the world for some people.

I think my stomach is starting to pop out! What the?!?! Already?! I can't suck it in! And, I've now gained 6 pounds. UP 2 this week. ARGH! Probably from my carb binge the other day.. but oh, well. Not much I can do!

Morning ladies! TGIF! We're heading out to go camping for the long weekend. We're leaving after work. I'm looking forward to it. It's really gotten cool lately, so it should be so nice!

Have any of you ladies experienced this:

This morning I was eating cereal for breakfast. About half way through I got the WORSE stomach cramps. I seriously thought I was having a contraction. I hurt SO bad. It was all the way down the sides of my belly and over the top under my boobs. It lasted for about a minute and then never came back. It's the second time it's happened. The last time was about 2 weeks ago. Anyone?

DFL: So are ya gonna hit the sales?

Hi all! Hope all the FLA ladies stay safe and dry. Sounds like this storm is going to get ugly soon!

Sarah, sounds like a contraction to me. It's not unusual to get them in 1's and 2's in your 3rd trimester. You need to worry if they start coming regularly (every 5 min. or so).

As for me, I am down to 7 days till delivery and getting very nervous. There's an all day meeting at work today, and I had the option of going or not (I'm on mat. leave, but this is inservice training and they will dock me the day if I don't go). I'm 99% sure I'm not going to go because they thought of sitting in meetings all day is torture. I cannot sit, except in soft comfy chairs, and we don't have any of those at work!! So I'll stay home today and watch TV and nap!! Sounds good to me.

I am going to an craft show tomorrow and a football game tomorrow night and a baby baptism Sunday- My poor husband
has to work for the next 7 days and is not happy

Good morning ladies...man....it is cold and rainy here today. I hope it isn't gonna be like this all weekend...but I will probably just be stuck at home with the kids anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter. I already ruined my "low carb" diet for the day....I had a bowl of fruit loops with whole milk! Oh well, I guess I will just try to eat low carb the rest of the day.

Sarah-I agree, sounds like a contraction to me also....don't overdue this weekend!

Teach2Live-Sounds good to me. Although I would probably read all day. That is what I might do since my MIL offered to take the kids for awhile today!

I think the interview went okay. I never feel super great after an interview, but overall I think I did okay. I'm really happy to have it over with. They are supposed to have the decision made my next Wednesday at the lastest... so now, we just wait!

Sarah~Thinking positive vibes on the interview for you! I never really know how they went afterwards either. If I don't cry or otherwise embarrass myself, I assume they went okay. Thanks for the contraction explanation! I'm not there yet, but it's good to hear descriptions of what's to come.

Dar~ Stay safe; you sound prepared. How long does the hurricane season usually last down there anyway? I noticed "pooching out" at about 13-14 weeks. I could not physically suck in my tummy anymore! Before that, I *think* it was just bloating, and would come and go. Now I can tell it's there, but my clothes still fit (my pre-Atkins diet clothes, LOL), so I really don't show in clothes. TMI: DH and I tried to have sex in the missionary position, and it just won't work from here on out, I'm afraid...too much weight on the belly, I guess.

Ellen~ Stay home! You are getting so close, I can't believe you would consider going to an all day meeting anyway. Take it easy!

GetNslim~See above for my carb confession of the week, LOL. Some days are just like that!

Hurricane season goes until November.. I'm not sure what day, though. Maybe the 1st?

Anyways, most storms seem to happen in August and September, at least the ones I've been in.

I noticed "pooching out" at about 13-14 weeks.

UGH.. I know each pregnancy is different, but I don't want to gain unnecessary weight. Six pounds is alot for a whole first trimester, and here I've gained 6 in less than 8 weeks! Perhaps I'm just having a fat day. Or week. Or month.

I think I'm coming down with a cold. I've been sneezing, sniffling, and coughing for the past few hours and I can feel it in my throat.. that's where my colds usually start. Just in time for the holiday weekend. Great!!!

LOL...I lived in Oklahoma before here. Although it has been 10 yrs. I still say things like fixen and ya'll!!

For me I have ever started to show until my 5 month. I swear I am fine one day and the next day I wake up and I have to wear maternity clothes! It has happened with all three of my pregnancies!!!

How have any of you treated cold symptoms while pregnant?

I'm congested, sneezing and have a sinus headache. I had a low grade fever for a few days, but I think that is under control.

may i join you?? Have ben a LC'er for about 1 1/2 years TTC for just one month. So a bit about me, my name is Chelsea i am 30 and live in the SF Bay area. My husband David and i have been together 10 years, married 8. He is a police officer and i am a freelance photographer. We tried to get PG and where successful way back in 1998 while on vacation in Maui and right before he started his new job with the PD. I MC in November, and we didn't start trying again until we where on vacation this last September(2003), our first trip back to Maui. It was kinda a "shot in the dark" because our original plan was to start trying July 2004. So i have been off the pill since May 2003, and I am SO hating my normal "flow"...lol. My cycle seemed to have finally regulated, but then it went all wacky getting shorter by one day every month (last month was a 26 day cycle). We ended up not trying last month due to me losing my job, turning 30 & vacationing with my family, its a wonder i survived July!! So we started trying this month!! Tired from all the BD'ng. We have not been that "busy" since we where dating!! Looking forward to getting to know you ladies !!

GoJ: I got a horrid cold right after I got pregnant. I couldn't breathe, couldn't sleep... nothing. I didn't take any medicine for it. My doc told me it's best not too in your first trimester. You might give them a call though and see if you can take some tylenol for the fever. I hope you feel better!

Yep, I'm out of breath and can't sleep too! I'm just going to stick it out. Too paranoid to take anything! At least I have a long weekend.

I haven't been getting to the internet cafe until this time the last couple of days, but I am still here and still pregnant.

Sarah, sounds like a contraction to me. I've been having then on and off for the last 2 months. They feel very different than BH contax. On the way to my midwife's last Wed, I had a doozy that lasted for a couple minutes on and off. It started in my back and, guess what, the baby is posterior! I hope he/she turns around because back labor isn't fun.

I just heard from a friend who is pregnant with twins and she finally got a clear ultrasound--boys. The bad news is that they are monoamniotic which is super high risk. She's still hoping for a natural delivery.

Trolly, where are you? I am getting really nervous about being so close to the top of the list....With my luck, I'll be two weeks late.

Chels~ You can use extra OPK's as HPT's; the lines will just look like a REALLY positive OPK if you are PG. The hormones it detects are really similar. If the test line is faint at all, it's probably a negative, and chances are you'll be running out for a real HPT anyway, just to make sure . But, a good way to use up OPK's if you're really curious! You can't use HPT's as OPK's, though.
