Good morning ladies!

Wow, busy thread yesterday. I am so sorry Nicole....it sounds like it was a chemical pregnancy to me. Good luck trying again.

Cute pictures new mommies!

Don't have much to say today except that I'm braving tonight with no medicine. I had a few dry heave moments when I first got up, but didn't really feel nausious and now I feel fine. It will be a record if I don't take a pill torrow either!

I was a bad girl tonight. They had some pie for a co-worker that is switching to day shift next month. I had a small piece. Honestly it didn't even taste that good it was soooo sweet. It's good to know that I don't care for that stuff anymore. It was kind of fun afterwards though, because the baby sure was moving around in there from the sugar rush. I really haven't felt much the last several days because it was masked by stretching and me not paying attention a lot of the times. It is reassuring though when you feel those movements, even though they're not distinguishable kicks....at least I know something is going on in there.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Have a great day!

Morning Mommies!!

Nicole....I'm sorry I couldn't respond yesterday as my hubby and I are keeping you and yours in our thoughts. Whatever decision you make about TTC again will be the one that is right for you, and in the end that is what is important.

New Babies pics are GORGEOUS!!!

All's well here. I've been having some really bad pulling pains during the night. It happens on the opposite side of which I'm laying and it's quite far down in the abdomen/pubic area. Until I sit up and get moving to go potty...they hurt pretty bad. I'm hoping it's just that my stomach area is getting larger as they go away once I'm sitting or standing.

Other than that, I got a free hour of AC at work a day now! Never thought I'd be so happy about AC My work is already discussing another evacuation due to Hurricane Frances. ugghhhh...in one way I'm glad I'm pregnant as everyone is still recooperating from the emotional/physical stress of the last evacuation. So Florida Mommies...keep an eye on it!!

Morning all!!

Yesterday was try #2 for ttc. It was touchy with the DH, he still is so nervous...but excited too. He did ask me though if we could "try" all month, because you never know....wink, wink, wink. Haha. If that's what it takes for him to be totally cool with this....then...I guess...

I am just bursting inside wanting to tell someone. I can't imagine how hard the next two weeks are going to be! My TOM is supposed to come during our vacation...while we are staying in a romantic honeymoon (we've been married for years, just looking for romance) cottage in the Rocky Mountains. I keep driving myself crazy by picturing me taking a test with a dramatic reveal...hahahaaa. I've got to stop thinking like that!!

Well, I hope everyone here is doing great this Tuesday! Hello to all you Mommies and Babies!

Hi Ladies!

Amy - I don't know who does this - but my due date is 3/13/05, and can be updated in the list! I am just so excited to see Week 12 next to my name!

Jehcekah - I will be thinking of you! My DH and I spent a week in a "honeymoon cabin" in Estes Park, CO, about a month ago - I was about 7 weeks along, and the altitude kicked my morning sickness into high gear!! So, you are going at the perfect time! If you are pregnant, you likely won't be feeling too bad then. Wouldn't it be wonderful to find out such great news on vacation in such a beautiful spot??

I am doing well. I had a bad day yesterday - nausea and headache - no vomitting though. I think it might be from the chocolate milk I had in the morning. I think I might be starting an intolerance to milk - I crave it, but it makes me sick everytime.

Have I asked you all this question before?? If so, just ignore me.

When did you all start to feel the baby??

Have a WONDERFUL day!

Hi Jenn! Where did you stay in Estes Park? That is exactly where our cabin is! It is at McGregor Mountain Lodge. I am glad that we are going now too. We're also backpacking through the mountains for two nights. Don't think I could do that with sickness.

I have a similar question to yours to ask everyone.....

When did you start to "feel pregnant"?

Hi JennPayton! If I start the thread tomorrow I will update your due date.

As for feeling movement, the doctor told me probably not until the 20th week or so....but I've been feeling slight movement for almost 2 weeks now (I'm now in my 18th week)...but not everyday. I usually have to be sitting really still to feel anything, except for last night when I had my naughty sugar treat! I think the baby was doing somersaults last night last that lasted a good 10-15 minutes! I haven't felt a definate kick yet...just slight movements.

I've heard if you are more overweight it will take longer to feel if you aren't. It also depends on where the placenta is or the position of the baby too. I guess it is different for everyone. Hope that helps!

When I started the not stop throwing up at week six!

Ok, actually I had some slight twinges in my lower abdomen as early as a week late for TOM. Oh, lets not forget those painful nipples I got about that time too!

Morning ladies!!!

Feeling pretty good today. Slightly nauseous, but ate a ham sandwich (leftovers at work - yes I nuked the meat first) and felt better. Meat seems to make me feel better.

When did you start to "feel pregnant"?
The few days after I had my + test (took the day before TOM was due), I had slight twinges in my lower left abdomen. Not really cramps, but just an occasional pain. It wasn't until about 1 1/2 weeks ago (a little before 6 weeks) that my breasts really started to ache, I had terrible headaches, and the nausea started.

But I still don't really "feel pregnant", if you know what I mean. Hasn't quite sunk in. Ask me tomorrow after my sonogram.

Did anyone else get more nervous with the more people you told? I just e-mailed my dog class instructor since we'll be spending all day Saturday and Sunday together, and I have class with her on Tuesday nights at 8 pm. I wanted to have at least one person at the dog trial this weekend know.. just in case I felt sick or something happened. I just felt a little nervous telling her. Like the more people I tell, the bigger my chance of screwing something up. Weird, I know.

Good morning ladies...
Wow!! You all were sure busy yesterday. 3 pages, amazing!!!

I am now "officially" on leave after my strenuous teaching assignment of 1 day. School started yesterday, I was there, got to see the kids' faces, and now I'm on leave. 11 more days till baby!!!! I have sp much to do, no energy, but at least only a short time to go.

Jehcekah!

Jenn, I felt baby moving about 15 weeks, but this is not my first pg. With my first, it was close to 20 weeks. It's easy to miss those first flutters since they are so light. Believe me, it gets stronger!! (she says holding sore ribs!)

Amy, my experience with movement is that it has everything to do with placental placement, and little to do with weight. I am quite heavy, but felt this one early because the placenta is in back. My dd's placenta was in front, and I didn't feel her anywhere near as much as this one.

Hope you all have a great day!!!

So, take note all - my user name has been changed!! I am now SmileyAmy instead of SmileyAEE. I like it much better.

Whenever someone starts the new thread tomorrow, could they update my name??

metroames ~ I hope all goes well with taking no medicine. I will be crossing my fingers for you! That is funny about the sugar. Little baby obviously liked it!

DesperateInFl ~ I feel so bad for all you Floridian's. I couldn't imagine getting slammed over and over with all these hurricains!! How do you do it? AND being pregnant...ugh.

jehcekah ~ I am crossing my fingers for you! That would be so cool to find out while on a romantice vacation with DH. I always "dream" about what it will be like to tell DH. I always picture it like in the movies where we cry and hug and smile...I am sure it won't be that exciting. I mean it will be exciting, but not like in the movies.

JennPayton ~ Congrats on the due date!! I think that you should have the baby on 3/11 - that is my b-day - good day to have a baby! I also wonder when you start to "feel" pregnant. It is one thing to know you are pregnant, but I can't wait to feel it and see it!

Dar ~ Good luck with your sonogram tomorrow! How exciting!

Teach2Live ~ You must be happy and sad all at the same time to leave your "kids".

Hi to everyone else who may pop in later!!

Dar20 - you are starting to tell!! Yea!!

Last night I had about three or four hours where I felt nothing.....it really bothered me. The next two or three months are going to be agony! I will over analyze every feeling or non feeling. I am actually having a problem going to the bathroom - the exact OPPOSITE problem of constipation.....so when I get painful gas, I keep thinking they are cramps and I am about to lose the baby.......assuming there is one since I haven't had it confirmed yet. See how this just gets sillier and siller!!

BUT - today I woke up and the porn star nipples are still very sore, my mouth is watering and I don't feel so hot! Yea!!

Laprettygurl - your pictures were great! You looked great and your baby is beautiful!!!!

SmileyAmy - I like the new name!!!

Good morning all you other pretty mommies/mommies to be!

GoJackets ~ This may be too personal, but I was just wondering. The last pregnancy that you lost - was that your first? Or have you had issues getting pregnant?

I am just wondering because I know several people who had gotten pregnant with their first and for no reason lost it and a short time later had a baby and more after that with no issues. I am just wondering/hoping that the first mc was a - for lack of a better word - a fluke.

I am hoping for exactly what you described.

I am 30, never been pregnant, tried about 5 months, got pregnant, lost it at 10 weeks, then got pregnant 3 months later.

I am about 5 weeks right now.

That is great!! Hopefully this will be a healthy pregnancy! You are young, as far as I know, healthy and seem to have no issues getting pregnant. I am crossing my fingers for you. I am sure you have a sigh of relief when you pass the 10 week mark.

Morning ladies!!! I finally got a really good night of sleep. Yay!! I needed it.

My tummy has been going through some really stretching lately. If I stand up too fast it feels like I tear muscles. They are really tender. I'm also starting to feel very "heavy" in my lower abdomen. That baby is starting to gain weight!

Amy: Good luck today with no meds, I hope you break your record and don't have to take any for awhile!

DFL: Sounds like you have round ligament stretching. It's very uncomfortable. Take it easy!

jehcekah: Woohoo on try #2! I hope you get a big fat ++ SOON! I started to feel pregnant around 7 weeks. When I first got preggo I had REALLY bad cramping. It was severe. I thought for sure I would m/c. Then it finally subsided and at 7 weeks, morning sickeness kicked in. I had it up until 17 weeks. Shortly after that, I started to feel movement.

JennPayton: Nice to see you! I'm so glad you are doing okay!

Dar: Yes, I got really nervous when I was telling people. I just didn't want to have to tell everyone if I had bad news, ya know?

Teach: Woohoo! You're on leave!!!

GoJ: Yay on feeling crappy! I'm happy you are having symptoms! Also, I had to at the "porn star nipples". Ain't that the truth!!

Hi SmileyAmy! I like the new name!!

Amy, a woman can have a perfectly normal pregnancy, then miscarry the next. Or miscarry then carry the next baby to term. There is no rhyme or reason. I think I read that until you miscarry 3, 'they' don't get concerned. Anyways, my mother miscarried after she had my younger brother. My Aunt miscarried between her two healthy children. Suzanne is another example. She miscarried after Max.

I'm keeping all my fingers and toes crossed and saying my for every mommy here.

Holy crap.. seven vials of blood?! Is it going to be like this the whole time? How often am I going to have to donate blood like this? Sheesh, at least she was very gentle and had a tube to take the blood instead of keep sticking in the vials.

This is the one thing about pregnancy that I am terrified of! Having to have blood taken/having an IV. When getting blood taken, they ALWAYS send me to the lab at the hospital across the street. They always end up sticking me several time. Plus sometimes when they do get a vein, they can't get it to give blood - basically it stops when the vial is half way full and they can't use that and have to start all over.

When I had surgery a year ago, they stuck me 16 times before getting the IV in!! And then they warned me that it might not stay and during surgery they may have to put it in my neck!

I have been like this forever - even as a child. I avoid having to get blook taken at all cost! When the Dr sends me to get blood done, I usually come up with an excuse and tell them I will go next week or something and I never go! I don't remember the last time I went for blood work - actually scratch that, besides getting blood taken for a genetic test before ttc, and for my surgery, it was 3 1/2 years ago for when I got married.

I know when I get pregnant, I have to go. I won't make up excuses for that. But it terrifies me.

How many/much blood is taken when prego?

I have only had blood taken once so far. That was for my glucose test at 26 weeks. Other than that, I haven't had to have any taken. I have sucky veins too, but I always have them use a butterfly needle, as it's the smallest. I have the best luck with that.

Once they find a vein, the blood usually pumps pretty good. However, I have to use my right arm.. and I'm right handed. They can never find a vein in my left arm. Drawing blood at the lab today was MUCH nicer than when they do it at my PCP's office. They really get me.. last time I had a bruise immediately and it didn't go away for two weeks!
