Good Morning Mommies,

Welcome Marthad and I hope this time works for you. My baby was conceived 6 weeks after a miscarriage and so far so good.

Welcome also to the new TTCers!

I've been reading the thread while we were in Cancun but don't have a lot of time this morning for personals.

Sarah, sorry to hear about your stretch marks! I have some on my hips and the back of my thighs from growing 6 inches in 6 months between the age of 11 and 12. Other than that, I have super stretchable skin! I believe it is hereditary, nobody else in my family has stretch marks.

Pauline, where are you?

Hope everyone is well. Max is waking up and I've got a big dive trip to send out in an hour. Time to make the sandwiches....

Later,

Suzanne

AHHHHHHHHH...... Sleep deprivation caused me to post this on TUESDAYS thread last night.

Hi Everyone!!!

I sure do miss everyone here! Things have been quite busy since Mr. Michael has come.

Thank you all for the well wishes. Having my boardmates come back that have all ready given birth made me cry... darned hormones!! Thanks Jen, Cyn and Lauren.

I hope everyone is doing good since I have been MIA - Wendy? Suzanne? Kristen? Trolly? Ellen? Please update me if I have missed anything! Going to try to go back and read the past posts.

Katie you and that little boy of yours are beautiful! You look really rested - how do you do it? Michael is a really good baby but there have been nights lately where he is up every hour.... sigh.... this to shall pass!

Jen!!! Little Miss Anna Vista is all ready showing amazing personality in her pics - she must get it from her Mama Love the hairband.... I am going to miss hairbands LOL

I see that the TTC group is GROWING!!! I want to wish each of you ladies good luck and I will say a little prayer for you and your families!

I better run - but you all can check out a couple of pics of Michael on his webpage. The addy is in my siggy LOL I will be back to check on you girls and think I might join Cyn and them over on the challenge thread.

Take care!

Morning all...

I was talking to a family member yesterday and mentioned the things that have happened in the past couple of months - missing pills, "off" periods, and this month being 3 days late and then having really light flow, tired, and just starting yesterday, I have waves of nausea. Well she was like "maybe you are"... The nausea has me wondering again - but maybe like Mrs Sarah says - when you are TTC you grasp to anything just hopeing. Maybe I should just by a test so I know for sure and it isn't a question in my mind...what would you do?

She told me that when I go to the doctor's next week, and talk to them about TTC, they would automatically give me a pregnancy test before they start me on prenatal vitamins. Is this true? I have never heard of this.

Smiley, they didn't give me a test when I first talked to my ob about TTC. He just told me what to do, how to keep healthy, and gave me a scrip. That was it. Of course, I knew most of it all already.. pretty basic stuff.

Doesn't hurt to take it, though.. you're already paying for the visit. It'll be the cheapest preg test you'll take!! Hmm... $5 (my co-pay) at the dr. or $8 at home?

And if I were 3 days late, I'd test.

Good morning ladies!!

The "server is too busy" messages are driving me up the wall!!

Suzanne: Hi!! I envy your stretchable skin!

Martha: I hope that everything goes well with this pregnancy! I'm very sorry to hear about your last. I'm glad you have joined us!!

Angela: I'm so glad to see you! I have really missed you! I'm glad to hear little Michael is doing well, but I hope you get some sleep!

Smiley: Well, I'm not a very patient person, so every time that I thought I might be preggo, I went out and bought 2 tests. I just cannot wait. I don't know if they give you a pregnancy test or not at the doc if you tell them you are TTC. I know they do if you are looking to go on birth control... but I'm not really sure. Are you taking any kind of vitamin now? You should be taking folic acid. Don't wait until after you find out you are pregnant. It's good to have it in you the moment you conceive.

As for me, all is well here. I woke up with a very itchy belly this morning. I slathered up with lotion again. I just have to try... I about killed DH in his sleep last night. He was grinding his teeth and making this weirdo sucking noise. Then our dogs were up (they always snuggle under his blanket) and every time I would try and put them under there, he'd grab my hand and throw it. He remembers nothing. Weirdo.

Hi Mommies-

I didn't have time to post yesterday- Too busy at work-
But it was a very interesting thread!

Welcome Martha and all the new TTC members!!

Angela- Glad you are doing well- we miss you! I checked out Michael website- He is a cutie! How are the girls handeling it? Are they big helpers?

Suzanne- Sorry you are missing the a/c- We are actually having VERY cool weather for August- Today and tomorrow are going to be high 60's low 70's - Normally August is in the high 80's low 90's - I am not complaining!!!!

And I agree where is Pauline? She is next to go- When is the last time she posted?

Smilyee- I like Sarah am not patient. I would get a test- just to see.

Sarah- You story about your husband sleeping craked me up.

Not to much going on here. I feel good and really big all of a sudden! We have 1/2 of my husbands office cleaned out and moved downstairs. We are both surprised how much we like it downstairs. It looks really nice - and now he can play on the computer and watch tv at the same time- We have to finish cleaning it out then purchase a new ceiling fan, new carpet and paint. I am just using Jessica's old decor since it was gender neutral (teddy bears).

Hope everyone has a good day.

Martha! I hope this is it for you this time, good luck! I think Sweden in the summer is just about the most beautiful place there is...are you homesick?

Smiley: Go get thee a pregnancy test, girl! I like Answer early. FRER gave ne a negative at 12 DPO when I was really PG. Target has cheapies (like $4 for one test) that are pretty good too.

Sarah: That is funny about your DH. I can't stand to have our dog even sleep in the bedroon because she moves around a lot during the night.

Hi Angela! Do you have a pic of Michael? We'd love to see!

Dar: Wow, my copay is $20, so it would be cheaper for me to get the pregnancy test, LOL.

Hi Suzanne! Are you going on the boat today or just making the sandwiches?

The only thing new with me is that my morning sickness is virtually gone these past few days we have been at the coast. But I'm afraid as soon as I return home tomorrow it will return (like it did two weeks ago) Weird, huh? I think I'm finally beginning to show, but my clothes still fit. Just a matter of time...BBL.

Kelley

Thanks for the warm welcome's everyone!

I couldn't resist and took another test today, and I think it was darker I'm experiencing loss of appetite and occasional waves of nausea and slight cramping...

Hi Dar When's your period due? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Suzanne, I have been dreaming of snorkling lately. Hmmm, I think I have to wait until spring vacation in southern Florida.

Amy, I wouldn't be able to wait to take a test either! Go get one

Kelly, I think summer just arrived yesterday. We have had the coldest and rainest summer here since 1812! I am definitely homesick...but I'm coming for a visit in just 2 weeks

Not to mention that the last couple of weeks, about midmorning, I start to feel really week and shakey - like my knees are going to give out and my hands shake. Are these symptoms.

Also, I know before, with preg. tests, you had to do them with "morning pee". Is that still true or can I go buy one at lunch and take the test at work?

Hi Guys,

I'm working from home today since the temps have been reaching 100 these past few days! I just can't take it in addition to being sooo pregnant.

Angelhope--Michael is such a cutie! I bet you're super busy with all 3 of them. They look thrilled to have a baby brother.

Hi to everyone else!

Amy, morning pee will have a higher concentration of the hormones in it, but you can test anytime--at least acording to the clear blue test I used.

Congrats on your pregnancy Marthad

It is so exciting to see my name on the list. Wohoo!!

SmileyAEE - I agree with everyone that you should go test. When I came off birth control I had tons of strange symptom like naseau, tender breasts, heartburn. I wasn't pregnant, but you just never know. It can't hurt you to know either way. Good luck! What an amazing suprise that would be

Good morning to all pregnant ladies!

Okay, so I bought a test. Do I do it at work as soon as I have to pee, at home tonight or first thing in the AM?

I am assuming that it will be negative because we aren't trying just yet - and I missed my two bc pills two months ago...but just in case.

I NEED ADVICE YOU ALL!!

Good morning ladies... tried to post earlier but the "server too busy" bug wouldn't let me in. I'm still sick, though feeling like I'm on the upside of it (sure hope so...). Still stuffy and congested, but so far this morning no headache.

Smiley, the symptoms you are describing could indeed be pg, but they also could be thyroid related. Missed or late TOM, dizziness and tiredness, strange TOM where it's either very very light or very very heavy... these are all symptoms of thyroid. Also, having thyroid out of whack will keep you from getting pg and keeping the pg. When you go to the drs. to talk about ttc, ask them to test your thyroid levels and see if they're ok.

Hope everyone else is having a good day. I go in for another round of fetal testing this afternoon, so I'll get to see the baby!

I have had my thyroid checked recently (last year or so) and that was fine. Could it change "just like that"?

Smiley: I always waited until the morning. Because if I took it in the day, and it was negative, then I always wondered if it would have been different in the morning and then had to buy another test.

The symptoms you are describing could be pregnancy, but you are also coming off of birth control and that could throw your body for a loop too. It's hard to say.

Good luck!!

I only came off bc two days ago. Does that make a difference.

The package I bought has two tests. Maybe I should do one now and then one in the AM?!?! Oh, I don't know!

You guys must hate me. I pop in two days ago and it has been drama ever since. Feel free to tell me to shut up and don't come back until you really are pregnant.

Smiley, I'd wait and check in the morning when the hormones are more concentrated. Save the second test for another morning in a few days if TOM doesn't show up. If you are anything like me, you could probably buy a few week's worth of diapers with the money you'll spend on tests.

Smiley: That's right, you came off 2 days ago. I was thinking it was longer, sorry about that! That is odd then. I think Suzanne's advice is good, wait until the AM. Unless you absolutely can't, then take one now and one in the AM (which is what I would do since I have NO patience. ) Oh, and don't even worry about asking all these questions. That's what we're here for! We've all been there!!

Suzanne: Isn't that the truth?! I cringe to think how much I spent. I should have taken out stock in EPT.

Funny story: I made DH go out and buy a test once. He was all embarassed. You'd think I'd asked him to buy tampons or something. Anyway, he goes through one of those u-check lines so he doesn't have to face anyone with this dreaded test. He pays and goes to leave and it has this security thing on it and sets off all these alarms. He had to go show it to a bunch of people so he could leave the store.

My last started 4 weeks ago on 7/8, but I don't believe I ovulated until the 25th - 26th. So, it should start Sunday - Monday. I am having PMS symptoms right now (slight cramps, crabby, weird dreams), so I have a feeling it's a no go. If that's the case, at least I'm guaranteed a few more days of fun from hubby next month! Gotta look at the up-side!

Suzanne: I was leaning towards formula feeding Michael. Then he popped out had such difficulities with the birth b/c of the cord wrapped around his neck it was a natural instinct to nurse him. Unfortunately we found out that he is "tongue-tied" and just wasn't getting the hang of nursing so we decided to go with my original decision of formula feeding to make our lives a little easier. I struggle with the guilt from time to time.... but I also have to admit I am enjoying the freedom of having others help feeding him

Smiley: I would wait until morning. Of course I am slow at producing the pregnancy hormone at a detectable level - if I did get a positive it was first thing in the morning and usually it was extremely faint. With my 2nd I remember taking the test outside in the sun and debating back and forth if it really was positive LOL. Good Luck!

Sarah: That belly must be growing since its itchy I had the same problem with my first but I ended up with extreme stretch marks (thanks to my genetics)...... I see a tummy tuck in my future to rid myself of this deflated balloon mommy tummy LOL No amount of situps is going to help.

Kristen: Sounds like your energy level is back up! Feels good to get things done doesn't it?! The girls are wonderful with Michael. I really thought I was going to have a jealousy issue with Maggie but so far she has proven me wrong. They do tend to be TOO helpful at times LOL Its interesting juggling 3 right now all 4 and under, figure its God's way of testing or teaching me patience.

Kelley: Check out the website in my siggy - I have some pics posted there. I was having "issues" with photoisland and gave up LOL Hope the MS stays away for you!!

Trolly: Pregnancy and heat just DON'T mix!!

Sarah: Funny about your dh buying the hpt, Mike was just the opposite.... if I even mentioned having a possible pregnancy symptom he was off buying a test. This past pregnancy I fell asleep on the couch the Saturday after Thanksgiving ALL DAY, when I woke he had a test waiting and said he thought I was pregnant b/c I couldn't stay awake.... He was right!
