Suzanne- I was shocked I have lost so much weight...I think the BF helped because I eat like a pig because I stay hungry. Well Monday I started Induction so we will see how much I loose now...I came to a stall at 148. I was 140 when I got pregnant but my goal is around 130 to 125. Day 3 w/ no cheats and my milk supply is still going strong. I still take prenatal vitamins for my milk and I add iron vitamins also. Also I'm drink Citrucel once a day to keep me "regular" . My OB said it was fine to do Atkins as long as I keep my vitamins...So after my 2 weeks of induction I will start adding fruits back....
Suzanne- Is the weather getting better? It has been so cold here the last 3 days. I have had to have a hat and pants on Alexia.... Cynthia

Congratulations Angela!!!
Welcome Michael Thanks for posting your birth story. Was there a full moon or something that night with all the birthing activity going on (or perhaps the full moon was about nine months ago? ).I can't believe how time is flying. When I first logged on you still had about 4 months to go. And I can't believe PFGirl's baby is two months old already! Wow. This time passes so quickly, and I'm usually either trying to keep up with the laundry and logging my aches and pains, that it only really becomes precious in my memory. I'm going to try to think about it differently from now on and be much more thankful for every moment! This is undoubtedly the last time I will ever feel a baby kick inside me (since I'll be 43 years old in about 3 months) so I really want to savor it. Good morning to all the other Mommies! How is everybody? LAPrettygurl - that Doc does sound like a flake! You can call the local chapter of the AMA or the Assoc. of OBGYN's and report him for irresponsible behavior. Good luck getting a new doc. It's probably just as well. Sounds as though he might have had trouble finding his way to the hospital when it came time to catch your baby .Have a great day everybody. Love all the baby pics! Please keep 'em coming. They are beautiful! Regards, LizzyD

Congratulations Angela and welcome Michael!! Angela, you sound like you were so calm throughout! I think I would have been pitching a fit of impatience!
Not much new to report here. I can't wait to get to my 2nd trimester so I can go get a prenatal massage... my shoulders and back are already killing me! Last night I finally slept through the night without needing to pee, let the dogs out, or rolling around too much. I think I just got to the point of extreme exhaustion and nothing was gonna stop me from getting a good 7 hours in. It was heavenly! Oh, the other day we had a big drama when we discovered a big black rat snake in our living room! My DH totally wants to move now! lol I know it's not poisonous but I can't get images of that thing slithering up in to the crib out of my mind. :-/ Have a great day all!

Hi, everyone!
Just wanted to check back in with you guys to let you know what's happened in the past month, since you were so helpful before. I went to see my ob/gyn, and he gave me a prescription for Provera and Clomid. Well, they worked! I had a period like clockwork after taking the Provera, and as far as I can tell, I ovulated on Monday! Woo hoo! I had a cycle! So, now we wait and see.. I have to keep myself from getting too anxious about taking a hpt too soon, but I'm just so glad my girlie parts worked this month. ![]() ThininMex.. I saw you posted that you were diagnosed hypothyroid. How were you diagnosed? A blood test? My TSH and T4 were normal in Sept, but I had them re-tested today. My BBT's are SO low (range from 95.7 to 96.5), and I'm always cold (and I live in FL!!!), that I figured I'd better check it again. I started Atkins after the last bloodwork was done. I asked the doc what it means if my temps are so low and my thyroid is fine.. she didn't have an answer. ![]() |

Last night I slept in my hammock most of the night and I didn't have acid reflux except when I got in the bed for a bit. And this morning I was actually COLD. No wonder 90% of the native population here sleeps in hammocks, it is so much cooler.

Miss Gigl, that would freak me out, too! I used to love snakes and even had a pet python and a pet boa when I was younger. About a year ago, I picked up what I thought was a baby boa and it turned out to be a venemous snake. And it bit me. Not super poisonous but enough to scare the heck out of me and cause a lot of swelling. Our house is sealed really well but we constantly teach our son that snakes are dangerous. He's getting to the point where he's even afraid of the iguanas but I'd rather he was afraid than careless.

OMG I have a phobia of snakes. Gigli, that must have been scary. Do you live in an area that has a lot of snakes?
So glad Angela checked in. Michael is finally here! yeah.....!!! Hello to everyone else. |
