Desp in FL, glad to hear you are surviving the heat. I am so miserable, I can't even imagine having to WORK outside. That's great about the weight though.

Chris, that is great news that the twins are going home tomorrow!!!! I couldn't get into the photos but that is probably my incompetence, will try again now.

Shandril, I only had minor acid at the beginning but it is my nemesis now. Yesterday I tried not eating after 3 PM (that was hard) and sleeping with my head propped up really high. All I got was a sore neck and some really bad tasting acid reflux. I'll ask my doc about the prescription Zantac at the next appt.

Well, the nursery is DONE!! It went so fast!! I just love it!!

I had a doctors appointment yesterday afternoon. All is well. They said my weight was the same as my last appointment, so I'm doing well with that. I had to pee in a cup and get my blood pressure taken and they said all of that was great too. My next appointment is in 4 weeks and I'll have to do my glucose test then. I hope I pass it!!

I got my "official" positive from the lab test today, so now I just have to wait for them to call me back to make my first appointment. I had some complications with my previous pregnancy, so I'm being extra cautious with this one, especially since it took so long!

Sarah~ Your nursery looks awesome! It is just beautiful, you guys did a great job! Glad your appointment went well today!

Suzanne~ Sorry to hear you're having a problem with acid reflux! I had it horribly with my DD & got to the point where I was carrying around one of those huge bottles of Rolaids everywhere!

Hi Everyone -

Yesterday was Madison's 5th B-Day! We had a little party at home with family that came in town. She was so happy that some of her cousins were there! Boy, she sure did get alot of things! She is in to Strawberry Shortcake and Hello Kitty.

I am absolutely exhausted today! I didn't get to be until 10:00 and I had a very rough night of sleep. I am getting more and more uncomfortable sleeping and it is driving me crazy.

I go back to the Dr next Thursday and I am going to confirm the date that she is going to induce. I am hoping we are on target for the 16th of August! I go on the 9th and have another U/S to see how big he is.

Hello all. Haven't been around, mostly lurking, having internet problems. I hope we get DSL out here in the boonies soon. My doc is a flake. I was supposed to make an appt to get the GBS test done so I phone and he's gone out of town til mid Aug. Uh, hello? So, what do I do? The "receptionist" said he didn't have "alternate plans" for me. I called the midwives and they have a 30 person waiting list for August. I am going to call the NP I was seeing before this flake and see if she'll do it. I didn't do most of the tests but this one is fairly important.

Also, why do they put those drops in baby's eyes if you've come up neg for std's?? Anyone know?

Wendy~ When I was little I had TONS of Strawberry Shortcake stuff. She's a bit different now. She used to wear dresses with a big poufy hat. I still have one of my dolls, my bedding set and some other stuff. It's weird how things come around.

babyblue~ Good luck on the glucose test. I didn't have one.

blueyedgrl~ Congrats on the "official" positive. I hope this pregnancy goes smoothly.

Mrs Sarah~ Nursery looks great. I had to pick the room closest to our bedroom and it's soooooo small but that's ok. I just packed everything in. Good luck on that glucose test.

Suzanne~ I hope that nasty acid goes away soon. I can't imagine what that would feel like. I would die just knowing I couldn't go swimming. It's the only thing I can do that doesn't make my body hurt. My hips hurt way too much to walk. I can barely clean the house. It sucks.

Since I posted so late yesterday, I thought I would re-post this.


Question for the veteran mommies doing the pregnancy thing again. Did you notice a really big (and I mean BIG) change in your breasts the 2nd or even 3rd time around? I have gone from a small D to an overflowing double D in the span of 14 weeks and these babies are constantly hurting. I can barely hug anyone. Good thing I had kept some of my larger bras from my heavier days or I would be in trouble. I shudder to think what they will look like when my milk comes in. I don't remember them doing this so dramatically last time.

Hi all.

Shandril, my breasts did get fuller last time. I'm a D cup too. This time, so far, they haven't changed much in size but they are so sensitive. My nipples are always hard and hurts when I press against anything.

I'm praying that its true that when you lose weight, you lose on your breasts too. That is after pregnancy .

Sarah, the nursery looks beautiful! It looks like something straight out of the nursery. I love the soft neutral colors.

We finally got the full size bed to DS' room. Going to finish decorating and will take pictures. Unfortunately, I don't have a digital camera so I'll have to wait until the roll finishes. I'll just take tons of pictures of DS.

Kristen - DH has a 2nd interview this afternoon and a 1st interview with another company. We are hoping the $$ is there with either of the 2 positions. The Dallas job is still hanging on, as we are waiting for one of the managers to return from his vacation this week. Hopefully we will know something by next week. Thanks for asking!

I just had the most, well, kinda disturbing thing happen to me. I am putting clothes into the washer and I pick up the shirt I wore to bed last night and, well, there's a spot the size of a quarter right where my nipple would be! I am starting to leak! Please please send baby thoughts my way. I want this baby out.

Pauline, the nursery is great. I also thought you had posted a photo of a kitten in front of a pillow. It took me a while to get things in perspective. What's the GBS? Your doctor does sound really flakey.

Sarah, your nursery looks great, too! I love the quilt you have on the crib. Reminds me I still haven't finished the quilt I made for Max for Xmas....maybe next year <sigh>

Shandril, my boobs got really big last time but after a year of breats feeding and losing a few lbs, I have lots of extra skin up there. The change isn't so noticeable this time around. And despite breastfeeding, my nipples are still really sensative this time. I thought maybe they wouldn't bother me after all that teething...LOL


Little Bear Amy, my weight gain has slowed/stopped, too. KNOCK ON WOOD!!!

Hi blueyedgrl! I take my giant bottle of Tums with me everywhere I go...LOL

DH helped me rearrange our bedroom furniture today so I can sleep in my hammock. I think maybe that will raise my head without hurting my neck, and hopefully help with the acid reflux. I just had my dinner at 3 PM <she sits down on her pity pot>. Maybe now he'll take me for a boat ride to the swimming hole so I can get my mind of food. I feel so deprived but the alternative is worse.

If you sleep correctly in a hammock, you are flat in any position you like (side, back, tummy) and the hammock molds perfectly to your contours. If I sleep improperly in the hammock, I am hoping I can elevate my upper body about 45º, that is the only way I can lay on my back. What I really need is a recliner like Ellen has...LOL Last night I tried elevating myself in bed with pillows and it just didn't work.
