Good Morning Mommies,
I almost had a full night's sleep then at 5 AM I drank a glass of milk and tried to go back to sleep. There are worse things to reflux than milk, I am sure, but I can't think of one right now. Hope the rest of you start off your Saturday morning in a more pleasant manner. Saludos, Suzanne |

Morning....hoping everyone has a fun-filled and healthy weekend
suzanne...sorry to hear about the milk, bleck I'm supposed to be off to an entirely brand new baby stuff yard sale, but as I type it's starting to storm terribly here. So we'll see. After that my hubby's work has a BBQ planned at our Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa. Should be fun and we get to see exhibits/IMAX film for free so I'm game. We also have a "date" this weekend to see the Notebook. He's already bought the box of kleenex to stuff in my purse as sentimental as I am when I'm not pregnant...he's not sure he can handle it when I am LOL. Will try to check in tomorrow...have to come up with a new resume as I have the opportunity to get out of the heat for a new job a friend knows of. |

Happy Saturday Mommies
I am so jazzed, I got to hold Laura in my arms for about 3 minutes.. then passed her to her daddy, so he could hold her also.( I started crying seeing him hold her). Normally it is not permitted, but she spit up all over her covers so the nurse had to change her bed. ![]() LOL.. that was my excitement for the day! Suz- I am so sorry you are having so much acid reflux, and that Max is itchy, what a rough night. Sarah- I agree..bananas are better for you then a suppliment. (sighs) I am having probs breaking the carb monster. So I am over eating almonds instead. I guess along with not buying ice cream and crackers, I will add almonds to the list. I tell you portion control is a huge issue here to all

Hi everyone,
Suzanne, sorry about the acid reflux... hopefully the rest of the day will be uphill. ![]() DesperateInFL, good luck at the sale! I'm starting to think about what we need to buy and when and where we should get it. I think I'm going to start making a monthly trip to Costco and just buy 1 big thing to have on hand. By the time baby comes I might actually be somewhat stocked up! Have a great time at the museum too. RedJewel, congratulations on getting to hold Laura, that's AWESOME. I'm sure I'm going to cry my eyes out the first time I see my husband holding our baby too. Not much new to report here. Just total exhaustion most days, but at least no M/S (yet!) Today I may try to hit the pool for a little exercise and just try to take it easy. Work is really stressing me out lately so I need to weekend to put things back in perspective. Also, my dog seems to have a stomach bug and since he weighs 170# (underweight even!) it can be very, um, messy - so gotta keep an eye on him. Have a nice weekend everyone! Meg

Oh well...off to the picnic, in the rain no less LOL. At least it'll keep me cool!! |

Good morning all! We have, as usual, a busy weekend. A pool party for dd's girl scout troop today and then a bbq/pool party tomorrow. Hoping to sneak a nap in there sometime. At least I won't be up to my elbows in peaches.
How I envy you ladies who live in places that it actually rains during the summer months. Here, we see our last rain usually in April, and then nothing till November. If it DOES rain in between it's seen as some kind of miracle. Needless to say, by June all is dry and drier. And hot! Have a nice Saturday.

Morning Guys,
I had a doc's appt. yesterday and it was the first time he was able to mash on my belly and determine Sophie's position. Apparently she is head down, facing my spine. I'm so glad because there's a girl in my childbirth class that has a breech baby and they just automatically scheduled a C-section. (she was afraid of the risks involved with manually turning her)I haven't checked in in awhile but I always read up on how you guys are doing. I have the last of my baby showers today (there have been 3 so far!) at this amazingly beautiful home overlooking the lake. It's actually right up the hill from our house, so that's nice. An old friend of my mom's that she's known since I was a baby is throwing it and she really knows how to entertain, so it should be very nice. I'm just really running out of clothing options, so who knows what I'll show up in! I'm hoping to get the travel system so we can go ahead and get the car seat installed by Aug. 1. Suzanne--My heartburn/reflux is really starting to kick in too. We're at almost the exact same stage of pregnancy, so I'm sure this is when our stomachs/guts are starting to get displaced the most by baby. Tums with calcium are my friend. DesperateInFL--Darn, sorry about the sale. I went to a kid's resale shop the other day that I heard was great and they didn't have much that I liked either. Red--I bet you can't wait to get home with your lil' ones and snuggle them as much as you want! Miss Gigl--I know what you mean about work. My job isn't really stressful but just sitting at a desk all day is getting to be extremely tiring for me at this stage. By the end of the day my feet are freakishly swollen and huge. teach--I DO really enjoy the rain and thunderstorms here. It just washes away all the heat and resets the temperature gauge for a day or two. |

Thanks, everyone, for the congrats. I finally have some time to myself today, so here are the pictures of Kaden.
In his portable swing that he's too small for: ![]() With grandma: Kristen - One cat acts like nothing happened. The other cat (male) started spraying in the litter box when I got home. Other than that, they sometimes look at him funny and go about their business. We didn't decide on the name until the day after he was born. I left it up to DH to decide which one of the 3 names we chose. You are more than welcome to steal it! MadameX - Back labor happens when the baby's head is not turned the correct way, so the head part pushes against your back and causes pain, along with regular contractions. I can say the pain was excruciating... Angela - It's your turn now! This little guy has stole my heart. All I do is nurse, change diapers, rock, and cuddle, and I love every minute of it. I can just stare at him for hours. Sorry I can't do much personals - it still hurts to sit too long. It's worth it though...

Wow, slow day!
Fluffi~ Great pics, what a cutie! Trolly~ Hope you get your travel system, which one did you want? Teach~ It rains here a lot. Every 3 days or so, then it's so sunny, with all that rain it's just really humid. Plus the misquitoes love the rain. I hate those stupid bugs more than anything in the world! I'll send you some rain if you send me peaches. They won't grow here, too cold. I do get apples come September. ![]() Redjewel~ OMG, I am so happy you got to hold one of your babies! Suzanne~ That sucks about the milk. I am lucky that I haven't had any problems like that. Hope it stops soon. I have been so tired lately! I get to sleep around 4am sleep until 11am get up for a bit, go back to bed around 1 or so and sleep til 6 or 7. Wow, don't know what it is. Plus, my hips (pelvis) is hurting so bad I want to cry. Soon - I keep telling myself. Just a few more weeks! ![]()

Hi Mommies,
Katie, he is so cute! What a lot of hair! It is amazing that he is so alert. Trolly, that's great that your baby is in the right position. Mine was head down for over a month, then turned around. I can't tell what she'd doing now. There is a hard round lump at the top (head or butt?), a hard round lump at the bottom, and a small round bump way out on my right side (knee? foot?). The acid and reflux sucks but as I remember from last time, it only gets worse until the end. I wish I had a recliner to sleep in. Lobster season started July 1 and one of my employees is a member of the fishing cooperative. They just got back from 15 days of lobstering at an atoll 30 miles off shore and I now have about 10 lbs of lobster tails in my freezer, minus what we ate last night. I'm not much of a seafood person but dinner last night was awesome. We are off to spend my sister's last couple of days in civilized comfort. We rented a condo with central AC. Max's godparents will also be there with their 7 and 9 year old nephews--so he'll get lots of exercise and I'll get lots of rest. See y'all in a few days. Hi Everyone -
Yesterday my very good friend threw me a surprise baby shower at Claim Jumper. I had no clue that she was doing this, and DH of course klnew the whole time. He woke up yesterday and says "I want to go out to lunch today" and I was like OK and didn't think anything of it. We were walking to our table, so I thought, and then all of the sudden I see all these people standing up and balloons everywhere. Needless to say I lost it and was crying. I got some great gifts and enough diapers to last me the first month. The weirdest thing is that 5 years ago on the 17th is when I had Madison's baby shower. Today at noon my Grandpa has to go in for Hernia surgery, and I pray that he makes it through the surgery. The Dr.s are very optimistic about the outcome, but he needs to have this surgery. I called him last night and he is in alot of pain, but I am so glad that Madison and I talked to him in case he passes. I am so upset that I can't be there. My mom is there and both my brothers are with her, so I am thankful they could get there. Thininmex - The lobster sounds so good!!! Enjoy the last couple days of your sisters visit. Sounds like you will have a great time with everyone! Katie - Kaden is absolutely beautiful. My DD kept staring at him and saying "What a cute babie". She loves the name. Desp - Sorry the yard sale was a bust. Hope you enjoyed the movie and had fun on your date. Red - I am so happy for you that you got to hold Laura!!!! Can't wait to hear when you can hold both Samuel and Laura!!!! MissGigl - Hope the M/S stayed away. Teach - We had a few thunderstorms here in Vegas, but they were everywhere but our house. Trolly - Hope you had a great shower!!! Glad Sophie is in the right position. LA - I have been sleeping terribly lately. Thankfully we are just a few weeks away! BabyBlue - WooHoo on hitting the sale at Carters! Have a great day everyone! Wendy |

Change of due date ...
Hi Mommies, Hope you are all well and had nice weekends! I totally forgot to report that my OB finally got around to calculating the ultrasound measurements taken during my amnio and has changed my due date to 10/21/04. So, tomorrow, instead of strating week 25 I'll be half way through week 26. Can whoever starts the thread tomorrow note that in the first post please? Thanks, LizzyD P.S. Weight gain holding steady at a total of about 5 lbs. What has everybody else gained by week 26? Should I be worried? God knows, it's not like I'm not eating . My first pregnancy my total weight gain was 22 pounds.P.P.S. I guess I passed my Glucose Tolerance Test because they said they'd call my back for the three hour test if I flunked the one hour. I haven't heard from them so I'm assuming no news is good news.
