Good Morning!

Still here.... LOL Still the same.... hoping for more progression at my dr's appt tomorrow. I have never been past 3cm dialated on my own before - wonder how dialated and effaced dr's will let you walk around. Since its my 3rd I am a little concerned that if my water breaks labor will go QUICKLY. Anybody know how dialated/effaced your dr will let you walk around until they decide to induce?

Hope everyone had a GREAT weekend. We went looking at houses this past weekend. We are going to be upgrading within 6-12mths.... the new houses are just beautiful!! So many have little extras with them... you can tell we are now living in a very spoiled society LOL Can't wait to SERIOUSLY start looking at them

My group B strep test just came back--NEGATIVE!!!! I couldn't really imagine that it would be positive since I've never even had strep throat. That is one less thing to worry about for the next 8 weeks.

Morning ladies!

Well, I'm home today taking care of DH. He threw his back out and can barely move. He can't lift his legs or get off the couch on his own. So, I stayed home with him.

He was feeling down yesterday, so he decided to give me my birthday present early.

It's this!







I about died!! I have been wanting one FOREVER, and especially after we got pregnant. He started saving money 5 months ago so that he would have it for me for my birthday. I just bawled.

I'm married to the most wonderful man!!

Angela- Good luck at the doctors tomorrow. Looking for a new house would be awesome!!

Suzanne- for a negative on the group B test!

I had my doctors appoinment. It was fine had to do the glucose test- I have to go get my RhoGam shot tomorrow. The doctors is saying that I have only gained 2 pounds so far- but I think it is 5 - but that is still awesome to me!! I really want to leave the hospital at a lower weight than my pre-pregnancy weight - LOL!!
The doctor says that this baby looks bigger than Jessica was. Now I will start my 2 week appointments- Can't believe I am at 2 week appoinment already!- Time flies~

Katie- I have a feeling you might be having that baby!-

Sarah- What a sweetie!! You will need that - We love to take movies of Jessica. I made her watch some of the ones when she was real little to see what a baby acts like- lol!

Hi Everyone -

Well, DH is flying out to Dallas today for a 2nd interview with the same company he interviewed with 2 weeks ago. Hopefully it all works out for us.

DD is having a blast with Nana and her cousins. They are going to catch the train this morning and take it to Long Beach, Redondo Beach, etc. They also got their Uncle to go with them.

Thininmex - Yeah on passing the Strep B.

Angela - I love looking at new homes. Not sure about the dilation and walking around, but I sure hope you see more progress tomorrow.

Katie - I bet you are having your little one.

Sarah - How sweet of DH. We have the digital camcorder and love it.

Kristen - I would go with the Dr and their 2lb gain You have been doing awesome with the weight gain.

Good Morning everybody,

I slept in today until nine o'clock. I couldn't believe it... I rarely sleep in, and never past about seven!! I must have been exhausted!!

I had a good weekend. My husband had a roller-hockey tourney, and the team has made it into the finals. First game is Wednesday night. This is a real accomplishment because his team was dead last last season. They didn't win one single game. This year, they actually have beaten the top teams. I don't know if they'll win the final, but moving into second place is absolutely amazing!!!

Traci, little Katie is so cute!! So much hair! You look great too. I can't believe it has already been a month.

Have we heard anything from Katie? Maybe she has already had her little baby?!

Pauline, great birth plan. I actually printed out your post and am using it as a template for mine. How long are you planning on labouring at home for? We agree on basically everything, and you thought of some things that never even crossed my mind. Like have the door closed and staff smelling like cigarettes and seperation of newborn and mother. Also, I hadn't even considered writing anything about Cesareans on the birth plan. I just knew I wanted to avoid a C-section. Nice work. Who are you planning on giving the plan to? I was going to make a bunch of copies, give one to my doctor, have one with my pre-registration at the hospital, and keep a bunch with me to give to head-nurses and whichever doctors are involved in the delivery. Both my husband and my mom are coming to the birth, my husband will be focused on coaching me and my mother will be watching the medical staff to make sure they adhere to my wishes.

Wow, only a two pound gain Kristen. That is fantastic!!

Happy almost birthday Sarah. Wonderful present, wonderful husband. How thoughtfull!! I wish DH a speedy recovery with his back. All us pregnant ladies can sympathize with the back pain.

Angela- I have no idea how long doctors let you stay partially dialated. I've heard about women who have been three centimetres dialated for three weeks or so, as long as their membranes don't repture. Even after the water breaks, as long as you practice good hygiene, you can go for another couple of weeks. I hope everything goes naturally and smoothly for you this time round!! We are also going to be looking for a new house soon. DH needs a new job, which he has been working on. When he gets the job, then the house hunting will begin!! I enjoy looking for houses, I just hate putting in offers and bartering! I really dislike "making the deal".

That is great news with the negative on the group B step Suzanne. One less thing to worry about! Yuckers about your finger!!! How did it end up healing? A little stubby?

I can't believe what a slow morning I'm having. I need to get a move on, I work this afternoon!!

Hiya Everyone!

I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, but my computer is broken so I haven't been able to get on and check things out. Also I've been pretty busy and my in-laws just left this past week (they were with us for 6 weeks!).

Bradley is doing GREAT! At his last doctors apt. he was up to 5 pounds 11 ounces and the doctor was so pleased that we only have to go see her every 4 weeks now. He has gained an average of 1.5 ounces a day since coming home.

I'm doing good, still tired becaue he has his days and nights mixed up. Breast feeding is going well, but I am hungry ALL the time. I think that this crazy hunger has hindered my weight loss because I am having a very difficult time getting this pregnancy weight off. OH well... a few extra pounds is worth this adorable boy.

I'm on my mom's computer and my husband hasn't burned the pictures to a cd for me so I can't post any today, but next time I get a chance to post I'll try my best to post one.

Glad to see everyone is doing so well and tests are comming out with the desired results!!

I had a bit of a pregnancy wake-up call today at work. I work in a long term rehab center on our locked unit. All have a dementia diagnosis but mostly they are due to psychosis, drug/alcohol abuse or brain injury. So needless to say, they can be aggressive with poor impulse control.

The social worker and I both are due the same week and have talked often about which patients we need to be aware of due to past behaviors as to not jeopardize our health or our pregnancies. Well, today we realized again that we must be aware of all patients....as one we did not even consider a physical threat attacked her in the hall and choked her. Thankfully nurses were close by that heard her scream as he came at her.

As a result of this....my supervisor and I were called into a meeting with our Administrator to be told I could not work on that floor until after I return from maternity for my own safety. While I completely agree with that, and have stated that several times to my own supervisor (that I wasn't feeling safe there).

The problem lies....that my supervisor, who I also considered a close friend....is more upset about what it does to our department for me to leave that floor (I'm program director/do all notes/do all programs) than the safety of myself and my pregnancy. Which really makes me sad.

I am glad to see you all, it took me a few minutes to read thru the last few days postings.

Angela- wishing you the best in a nice quick delivery. I was dialated 3 the whole last month of my second son.(1982)
No one ever said anything, but times have changed eh?

My kiddos are doing well, gaining weight in the medium level of the neonatal unit. Laura is FINALLY taking her whole bottle by mouth. Sammy never had an issue with it, but Laura, she would gag, so they did a feeding tube down her nose.If she keeps it up, they will remove the tube. I am producing enough milk to feed both babies.

I have the C-section from hell, finally the pain goes away to get a bulge along the scar site, it finally started seeping (TMI- sorry) The nurse ended up sticking a needle in to get it to drain. At least it is not an infection, but it is filled with blood (ew) so now I have this mess, but at least no pain.
They also gave me an antibiotic, to help prevent an infection. I was also warned it might affect milk production slightly.

Anyhow, thats my news..lol

Hi Everyone. I was MIA this weekend finishing up the tile. I never knew it would take this darn long. Still have to finish grouting but at least the tile is in. Hopefully if all goes well (and hubby's back is ok ) we should be one market in a week or so.

I went to my OB visit today got the full workup (pap, blood draw etc.) And I got to hear the baby's heartbeat. That was too cool. Brought tears to my eyes. Makes it real that there is a little creature alive in there.

Hi guys,

Sorry I'm so MIA lately... I'm just so chronically exhausted it's about all I can do to go to work, come home and go straight to bed then get up and do it again the next day. Doesn't help that the funky dreams and getting up 3x a night to pee continues. At least I'm not throwing up (yet!).

Good news today though, we had our first sonogram! We got to see the baby's heartbeat and it looks like all is well so far. Suddenly things seem much more real! Tomorrow at work I'll have access to a scanner so I'll post a picture soon.

Hugs & sweet baby dreams to all... back to bed for me!
