Good morning mommies- Where is every one today!
Hi Sarah- Sorry about the weight gain, but that still is wonderful since you are at 21 weeks!! I am sure I will have a gain at my next appointment! Viki- The chinese birth chart has been correct for both of mine!! Not much going on here- Work, work, work. I went thourgh all Jessica's old clothes and my cousin's wife came and took what she wanted. MAN I had really bought her a lot of clothes!! I will not do that this time- I had about 6 outfits she never even got to wear- It was kinda sad to look at stuff that used to fit it and realize how big she has gotten! BBL- Kristen

Hi There -
Just got into work about 10 minutes since I slept in until 7:00am which is the normal time I leave the house! I had to stay up and watch Nip/Tuck Also DD woke up at 3:30 with a bad bloody nose, so DH was cleaning her up and I was washing her sheets. Her poor nose gets do dry and of course she picked at it (I can't tell you how many time we have told her not to pick her nose) and of course blood everywhere!!!!Mrs. Sarah - You have done so well with your weight gain that the 4lbs isn't bad at all. Kristen - Isn't it a shame how much we buy and they don't even wear it. I have a cute jean dress in the closet that Madison doesn't like and will not wear. I bought it at Old Navy so it will go to one of her cousins. Thank goodness there are a lot of girl cousins younger than Madison that I can give the clothes too. Check in later! Wendy |

Where IS everyone???
Sarah - You are doing great on the weight gain! Kristen - Hi! Wendy - I just started watching Nip/Tuck. It's quite funny! Sorry to hear about your DD's bloody nose! Just got back from my appt. I'm almost 3cm dilated, 80% effaced, so I'm progressing! I think it could be Angela's day. BBL! |

Katie - WooHoo on the progression!!!!!! I started to watch Nip/Tuck last season and I am hooked. My step-father was just working on the set as a Technical Advisor to one of the actresses. He enjoyed working on the set and hopes that they will hire him again. The only thing that was weird for him was when he had to advise her during one of the intimate
scenes and both actors were totally nude When my mom told me that I just burst out laughing .Wendy Last edited by wari : 07-07-2004 at 11:33 AM. |

hey girls ... i'm here ...
not much to report. still ttc. i plan on taking a pg test on friday. don't think it will be positive, but i plan on taking one every couple weeks due to the fact that i was on depo before and don't really have af back yet.... so i could get pg and not really know it, or know when my due date would be. this way if/when i'm finally pg i will have a little bit of a timeline. the chinese birth chart was correct for both of my boys. hopefully it will be right again this time (when it happens) ... all but november for the rest of the year says it will be a girl! susie ![]() |

I'm here
Glad to hear everyone is doing so well. All is well here too. Just tired and work is very stressful and I'm trying to remain drama-free for my own sanity and the health of me and this child. I'm wondering if anyone else suffered from headaches during their first/second trimester's on a regular basis. I never have before, but lately it's an afternoon/nightly affair. |

FL: Yes! I am a migraine sufferer anyway, but the first tri (and beginning of 2nd) really aggravated them. Paired with nausea it was awful! I talked to my doc about it, and after my first tri he gave me a prescription for Fioricet (Tylenol based). It has helped tremendously if I take it on the onset of a headache. I hope you get some relief! I found that drinking lots of water and resting helped a lot too. ![]() |

Kristen - Definitely a favorite show of mine.
DespinFl - I had terrible headaches from about 12 to 17 weeks. The only thing that helped me was to go lay down in bed, prop me feet up and close the door. DH and DD stayed away. I definitely noticed them more in the late afternoon, so sometimes I would just go home and go to bed. Hope they go away soon!!!! Susie - Good luck on the PG test. Wendy |

Hi all - still here
still having sporadic contractions, losing mucous plug, getting extremely witchy, cleaned almost everything there is to clean... sigh... just happy to be at the end Ran by the dr's office this afternoon b/c my bp is up (surprise) - the last few times it has been on the low side (140/66, 120/66) but today it has JUMPED to 150/94, so we did more blood tests.Sarah: 4lbs at 21wks - I would take that and RUN with it , that is a SUPER job!!!Viki: The chart was wrong with Erin, right with Maggie and wrong with Michael... so you can't go by me LOL Kristen: I have the worst habit of over-buying for my girls as well. There are just too many cute things out there!!! I do resale the name brand stuff on EBay (Bailey Boys, Kellys Kids, Gymboree, Baby Lulu) and usually get a pretty good return on them. I also have outfits in their closets with tags still on them LOL, especially Erin b/c last fall she went through some kind of HUGE growth spurt right after I bought some. Wendy: I grew up having nose bleeds ALL THE TIME, poor little Madison! I hope she out grows them soon. Katie: on the progression!!!! I still think you will go before me. Just think I am doomed to have contractions for a month LOLSusie: Fingers are crossed for a POSITIVE, so you don't have to keep wondering about the depo! FL: Hope the stress and headaches ease up on you!

Hi Ladies!
Katie and Angela, it looks like you two are neck and neck for the next delivery. Kristen, too bad about all the clothes but great news for someone else. That´s the nice thing about having a boy first--if the next one is a girl, she can wear all his clothes. But I can´t see your son wearing Jessica´s old dresses! FL, I had lots of headaches the first 16 weeks. I think low blood sugar had something to do with it and if I could get down a protein snack (peanuts or sugar free peanut butter worked really well) the headache would get better quickly. Wendy, hope DD has a better night tonight. I have a horrible time with my sinuses when I am in a dry climate. Have you tried a humidifier in her room? Hi Sarah! Four pounds in 21 weeks is great! I had my appt with my doctor this morning and as much as I like her, there is no way I am having this baby in a hospital. Everytime I go to her office, my blood pressure shoots up to 125/75 (at home it´s normally 105/65). It always goes down during the course of my appt but the initial reading bothers her. She told me today that I needed to learn to relax because if my bp shoots up over 139 in the hospital, they will make me have a cesarean again. The whole problem is that they made me have a cesarean last time, told me I was preeclampic even though I never had protein in my urine. And last time my bp was only 130/90 and only that high in the doctor´s office or hospital. Anyway, I told DH that he better get busy reading my Spiritual Midwifery book, because if my midwife isn´t back, he´s going to deliver this baby. Thanks for all the kind wishes for my mother. She says she won´t have surgery, may not even have chemo, but so far she´s not even sick. I just hope that when the time comes she goes quickly. Saludos, Suzanne

Angela: Glad to hear you are doing okay! I'm sorry you're playing the waiting game. Good news on starting to lose your mucous plug though!
Suzanne: How does your hubby react to thinking he will deliver the baby? I think mine would freak. LOL! I'm keeping your mom in my prayers. ![]() |

Hi guys.. just got home from work and my back is killing me. This standing is going to really run me ragged!!
Suzanne, my blood pressure does exactly the same thing. I normally read 115/65, but at all my doctors appointments, the first reading she gets is 130/80. In fact time before last it was 140/85!!! I definitely do not have preeclampsia... I think we both suffer from "white-coat syndrom". See a doctor and blood pressure shoots up. I need to practice my relaxation techniques!! Who could blame us with the elevated blood pressures, everything is really stressfull. I was writing up my birth plan and there are so many things that are considered normal that I don't want: episiotomy, fetal monitor, giving birth on my back, epidural, IV's, pitocin for either induction or delivery of the placenta.... the list goes on and on. I wonder why I'm even bothering to deliver in a hospital. Oh I know, DH might get a little stressed out otherwise. We live three minutes away from the hospital, so maybe baby #2 will be a home birth. I am going to labour at home for as many hours as I can handle... hopefully most of my first stage of labour, if I get lucky. Do you guys think I'm being a little too anal with all this? Speaking of anal... I think I might have a hemmorhoid!! Sorry if TMI.. but my netherregions have been rather sore and a little itchy since yesterday. Started feeling it right after practicing my squatting, it doesn't seem fair. Joys of pregnancy. And the race is on between Katie and Angela. Anybody care to take any wagers? I wouldn't know who to bet on. Sarah, four pound in twenty one weeks is great... I gain four pounds in five weeks between weeks twenty and twenty five!! Where did you get info on that chinese birth chart? I've never tried it. Good luck TTC Susie. I hope you get pregnant really quickly!! Kristen, I'm so worried about buying too much for the baby that I haven't actually bought anything except a little green outfit to take her home from the hospital in. I figured I'd get a ton of clothes at various showers. As well, most of my friends have finished having their kids, so I'll get all their old hand-me-downs. I'll still over-spend and spoil the baby. You should see all the presents my dog gets at Christmas!! I can't imagine what I'll do for a baby!! talk to everybody later Nicole Last edited by aphexacid : 07-07-2004 at 06:13 PM. |

Hi gang,
I'm still here... just hanging out wondering if/when the m/s is going to kick in. It won't hurt my feelings if I never get it, but it might be mildly reassuring. Right now my main symptoms are sore boobs, mild queasyness, loss of appetite, and teary outbursts. First sonogram (8 weeks) scheduled for next Monday. I'm a little nervous about it! Glad to hear everyone is doing pretty well. Katie & Angela, keep us posted!!! ![]() |

Hi all, just found out today that I am preggers, been ttc for almost 3 years, and LC for 6 mos. I have a Dr. Appt on the 28th, but I think I'll be due in March or possibly early April. Since we were ttc, I test often & I have PCOS so I don't have regular periods to go by, but I could be as early as 2 weeks pregnant, or 3 mos like when I found out I was pg with my daughter, lol. Anxious to begin my journey with you gals.
