hi

Hubby put together my rocker last night.... It looks great. I am running out in a few to look far a cushion for it........

Have to get laundry done and a few other chores today since we are leaving for las vegas tomorrow.

Question for you guys: Do you find with the pregnancy that you become more critical of your problem spots. I remember that when i got pg i was looking to lose 10 more pounds to shrink my upper arms and thighs more, sine that is where fat accumulates on me,,,,,,,

Well, now i stare at them A LOT and think how i can't do much to get the fat off till after Aiden is born - and it makes me a bit grumpy to say the least!!!!!!!!!

Hi ladies.

Sorry, I've been MIA this week. A day after I ran out of my Zofran for my nausia it came back with a vengence. The insurance company finally cleared me to keep taking it, so that is a blessing. But, I feel like I'm trying to play catch up this week. All I seem to do is sleep, drag myself out of bed, eat, rest and go to work and then come home and do it all again. Going up and down a flight of stairs just wipes me out and sometimes makes me dizzy. My goal to walk outside for 30 minutes 3-4 times a week has gotten thrown out the window for now. I sure hope I get some energy back soon! I feel like such a lazy bum. My sweet husband has been taking care of things and I honestly don't know what I'd do without him...bless his heart.

The good news, though, is that I haven't thrown up since I got back on the Zofran. But if I don't eat something at least every hour and a half to two hours my stomach gets real quesy and I feel like I could puke. I'm trying to eat really small meals so I don't overdo my calories.

Since I've added back carbs (since that's about all I can stomach right now) I swear I've become a sponge. I am retaining fluid terrible. I'm afraid to get on the scale, but I honestly wouldn't be suprised to see a 7-10 pound gain because of the fluid retention. My face, legs, and fingers are swollen. Also, my gut is huge from the constipation and water retention. I tell ya, carbs are evil. Once I get my appetite back...."low carb here I come"!

I really hope this heart burn subsides. Even my beloved yogurt gives me heartburn. I'm drinking milk even though I hate it because it's about the only way I'm gonna get my calcium and it doesn't give me heartburn. I know I can take TUMS, but I don't like how they make my throat cold. Depending on what I'm eating I thinking the cooling actually accentuates the heartburn.

Well, I guess that is all for now. I hope next week is better. Everyone have a happy safe 4th of July!

Amy

Good Morning! We sure are having a run on BOYS in here right now!!! Funny b/c when I started posting here there were nothing but baby girls coming.

Suzanne: Love the pic! You are starting to pop a little now sigh.... I would kill for a tummy like yours. Looks like I will be going for a tummy-tuck after this baby and losing the weight.

Amy: Can't say I focus on my body flaws (think I did with my 1st) BUT.... I really focus on what I haven't been able to do during this pregnancy - I am considered high-risk and haven't had the mobility earlier on in my pregnancy. Things I normally would have done/handled I couldn't - it frustrated me to no end.

FL: Congrats on the great u/s!!! You were in my thoughts last night. What a HUGE relief!!!

Hi to everyone following!!!

I tried on my first maternity pants last night, but I didn't buy any. I am like you. I can't stop focusing on my butt and hips, the locations I put on weight. I am now back up two sizes in those areas and it is really depressing me. I was afraid to buy the maternity clothes because they won't last long if I continue to put weight on in my butt and thighs because they are only designed to expand in the tummy area. I was at a loss on what to do, so DH and I decided to come back and buy when I absolutely had to.

Busy day...I will check in this afternoon.

Hi Jen!

Kristen: Sounds like you have a fun fun fun weekend planned! I couldn't convince Mike to go to the lake this weekend so I guess we will have to find something around here to do. I am with you on the boy thing - after 2 little girly girls I am not too sure WHAT to do with a boy LOL

Where IS Chris???

Ok - I went out and bought my Raspberry Leaf Tea (probably should have been drinking it all along the 3rd tri - oh well!) and actually found some Borage Seed Oil (instead of the EPO). Now I can't remember what the dosage is on the BSO!! I know Tracy and Tiger used the EPO - if you see this please let me know the dosage. I believe it was 3 capsules a day. I will have to do a little research - how about you Suzanne, know anything about it?

Hi Angela, Are you still pregnant!?!? I have the BSO and plan to take 300 mgs 3 times a day plus one internally at bedtime. BSO has higher GLA (the good stuff) than EPO. Here's a link Tigerlily posted:

Natural Induction

Metro Amy, sorry you are still feeling poorly. Last pregnancy I felt better at exactly 12 weeks. This time I was sick until 17 weeks. Glad you have a med that works; I refused to take anything both times (hard headed).

Little Bear Amy, I think it's part of having been overweight that we have a hard time being satisfied with how we look. I have lots of lose skin around my upper arms, butt, and thighs. But after looking at the web sites for butt lifts, I think I'll keep what I got!

Jen, I hate those maternity pants with the panel in the front. I bought 5 pairs of large shorts with elastic waist bands. If those get too tight, I'll just wear baggy sun dresses until this is all over. I am too cheap to fork over the big bucks for something I won't ever wear after pregnancy.

Kirsten, have a wonderful, relaxing 4th of July weekend!

I wish it were that easy for me. I will have to have pants to wear to work. No choice there. The pants I tried on were comfortable. They had the low rise 3" panel instead of the over the belly panel. I am just concerned how they are going to fit everywhere else because right now I seem to just now be showing in the belly area, but have been putting weight on all over (mainly in the butt and hips area).

take my advice and buy them big, that way you have some room to grow. If they fit nicely in those areas now, buy the next size up, better to be a bit baggy now, then too tight in the months to come.

Also, i wear a lot of stretchy skirts, pants were a nightmare for me to find. You can buy regular stretchy skirts in a few sizes larger...

Same thing with the pants for me too, my husband got me this lot of clothing of ebay, and they are 90% fully belly panel pants and shorts - i hate them. I found a few pairs of size xl elastic waist shorts in the back of my closet and i wear them all the time. Sure they may be baggy in the but, but at least they don't have the wretched panel.

Happy Friday/holiday weekend for those of us in the States!

FL - Glad to hear your u/s went well!!!

Suzanne - I am so jealous of your belly. You look GREAT!!

Amy (LB) - I feel your pain. I wish I had motivation to keep up with my workout.

Amy (Metro) - Sorry about your ms! Did your dr test you for anemia? Protein was hard to choke down for me too, but I managed to eat chicken and focused on eating iron-rich foods when I was tired. It might be inevitable early in pg though... Tums is my favorite thing now. Have you tried different flavors?

Angela - Good luck with the RTL and BSO. How are your ctxs?

Kristen - Have fun at the fest!

Jen - I don't think it's just your butt/thighs getting fat. I think the pelvis widens and expands also (sounds like a great execuse, huh?). I had to buy maternity shorts early because I was going on vacation. I wore mediums then. Now, they don't fit. I had to buy larges brand new. I was ticked off. I should've looked on eBay. But my medium dress pants still fit. Maybe they were just made larger to begin with. I would recommend waiting as long as you can and buying a size larger. Fortunately, I found great sales on regular dress pants at JCPenney, so I bought size 12s and 14s (was 4 and 6) until I had to wear maternity pants. I hate full panels. I found low-rise 1/3 panels from Motherhood and JCPenney.

Well, off to the 3rd day at the Ribfest. Sickeningly, I can still eat them ribs (drool)...

ok.. here I am.

I just returned from 7 day all expenses paid vacation, in two wonderful Hospitals (insert heavy sarcasm)

Anyhow. Samuel and Laura were born June 25th at 6 pm. After an hour long labour, Ladies, I have had worse TOM cramps.

Labour pains were 20 minutes apart, I had two, we got into the car and had a series are pinches. We arrived at hospital, they took me into L&D and discovered I was fully dialated. The only reason the babies did not drop in the car was, Samuel had is lil butt planed right over the birth canal.
So off to an emergency C- section. Samuel was born first. Weight 3 lbs exact. Laura was 3lbs 4 oz. After I was stitched back together, I got to see them 5 minutes, they were seperately shipped off via amblience (sp?) to neonatal unit.

I stayed in Zumarraga´s hospital for two days till there was a bed avaliable, in the same hospital as the babies. They get to stay there till they each reach 5 lbs. I get to see them twice a day for an hour.
while I was in the ward, I got to pump every 3 hours to stimulate milk production. Now that I am home, I am doing the same thing, pumping and storing to hand in so the kiddos can get my milk. To feed one baby I need to produce a half litre, a day.

I am off to bed.
to all.

Oh My CHRIS Can't believe the twins are all ready here! So glad to hear you are doing good and that things at least went quick for you!! Are the babies all right other than being small?? Hope they gain weight QUICK - I know Ernest is the proud Poppa!!! Congrats!

Suzanne: Yep still here... but tonight is a FULL MOON so maybe somebody will pop - KATIE how about you?? Thanks for the BSO info - I had heard it was higher in the GLAs so when I found it at GNC I jumped on it (and it was on sale!!) That was the dosage I had planned on doing. Anything to make a possible induction a little better

Katie: Funny you should ask about the cntrx - I have had them ever since the dr checked me yesterday. Sometimes they are period like cramps, sometimes just BHs but the majority are the ones that start around back and work forward. They are really wearing me out - not to mention making me sick to my stomach Trying to stay away from the brethine right now in hopes that they will do something! I am not getting too excited over them as you can tell b/c so far they really haven't done much in the way of progression. I just wonder when I will tell when I am in TRUE labor this time - hopefully my water will break Watch me go OVER my due date this time LOL That would be the CRUEL joke! How are you doing? Anything going on??? I will repeat its a full moon TONIGHT!

Jen: I did several pairs of capris with the demi-panels... now unfortunately at almost 36wks the doggone things keep ROLLING DOWN when I bend over, squat, or sit down. They are about ready to drive me NUTS. They were the most comfy things I owned now I love the full panels (adjustable). I love the clothes from the Gap (especially their t-shirts), I really liked Kohl's demi panel capris, and now I love JCPenney's shorts with the adjustable band.

That's it for me - going to go take my 3rd shower for today.
