Wishing everyone a Good morning and a Great Day!

I finally got some exercise in last night. I went to a karate class!! Whooo-hoooo! Six months ago, I wouldn't have been impressed at all. But after sleeping away the last 3 months, I am happy to be getting some energy and drive back.

Morning Jen!

Congrats on the exercise, karate sounds like it would be fun Did you sleep better last night? I'm trying to prove to myself that I WILL sleep better if I get more exercise. I feel so stiff in the mornings.

I think I'll clean the house up then jump on the cross country ski machine.

I finally posted a pic in the gallery, it's my almost 19 week picture. Caution I am super PALE

Hi Jen and all the Mommies to follow,

This has been a terrible morning already. I wake up at 5:45 and turn on my computer on the way to the bathroom. This may be TMI but I pee about 20 times at night and I usually forget to flush. So first thing this morning I flush and the toilet overflows on the floor, all that nice yellow water. After cleaning that up, I come out and there is a terrible smell (worse than the overflowing toilet) like burning electrical wiring. It's my computer monitor about to catch on fire. Finally I have my tea and head out for my exercise. On the way back, I forgot to pick up my weights, which I leave on the side of the road after the first 20 minutes, until I was almost home, had to go back to get them. Then when I am still at least 10 minutes from home, I see our 8 AM clients driving by......

Now we are off to the city. See ya all this afternoon.

Saludos,

Suzanne

hi all

Well,

I have been up since 6:30 a.m. cleaning. Dishes, vaccuming, and laundry.

I am having lunch with a few friends at 1:00 today - sort of a baby lunch celebration thing, but not really a shower.

I cannot seem to keep the house clean enough. I wonder how clean it will have to be for the baby. I made a schedule to hang on the fridge to have my husband help me more - if this doesn't work i give up!!!!!!!!!!!

Shenandoah what a fabulous pic - you look great!!!!!!

I think I have finally confirmed my 25 pound gain, it fluctuated for a few days - but has settled in.

So now I am 27.5 weeks with 25 pounds. Not too bad, but more than i had wanted. I have to try to keep it to 10 pounds until i deliver, but that is not miuch room........ Geez to think what i would gain if i ate junk - i would be huge. I just keep hoping little Aiden will help get the weight off by breastfeeding and that my waist will shrink soon after he is born. I refuse to wear maternity clothes after his arrival. I plan to buy some stretch yoga types pants to wear until i can wear my old stuff. Anybody else plan on doing so?

Another challenge is that hubby and i are going to vegas for one week on saturday. Now i have been there before and there is food everywhere. I am going to have to eat salads or i will come back 5 pounds heavier, and i can't afford to do that having already gained 25.......... I know my husband will say oh come on have some more, or have desert, it won't hurt you, but i know it will.

Have a good day all!

Amy

Know what - I just realized you're a surrogate! That's so awesome!! That's something I'd be interested in doing - what a great gift to be able to offer someone unable to carry a child!! Are the parents friends, or just random people? I have a ton of questions!

I didn't wear my maternity stuff afterwards, either. About 2 weeks before I was due I headed to the store and got some elastic waisted capris and some size L shirts ( I usually wear M so I improvised on what might work). It worked great!! I'm still not into all my clothes, but working on it - Kendall is 4 weeks now!

Morning ladies!

I feel like a zombie today. I feel all stiff and achy and tired. I wonder why? I slept good....

Jen: Good job on exercising!!!

Shenendoah: Hi!!

Suzanne: Yikes! What a morning!! I'm sorry it started out so rough!

Amy: I am struggling with keeping the house clean too. I have got to get some kind of routine going. As far as weight gain, BFing really is supposed to help shed those pounds. I'm sure you'll be just fine! I don't know what clothes I will wear after I deliver. It doesn't really matter to me, whatever is comfortable. I'm hoping to be looking somewhat decent by the time I have to go back to work though.

Good morning mommies-

Monday night was HORRIBLE for me. I went home to cook dinner opened up the freezer for some corn and vegtables to notice that the freezer/refridge is Broke. We lost around $300 worth of groceries. DH is awaiting the Sears repair man know. Of course it is out of warrenty and we have to pay $60 just to see what is wrong. UGH!!!! That just sucks.

We did go to the amusement park yesterday and my daughter is a little daredevil!!! We went with a couple of friends and they had 3 boys with them and the boys keep chickening out of going on ride - but not my Jessica. She loved everything. However the last ride we went broke while we where on it and we got stranded in the air for 5 min! It was not fun!!!! (It was a ride that looks like you are on a hot air balloon - we where not too far of the ground but it is still nerve racking!)

Angela- Hope Erin had a nice bday!

Trolly- Your nursery is so cute.

Sarah- Good luck on your u/s tomorrow!!!!

Jen- Good job on the exercising.

Shenandoah- You are adorable. Good luck on your u/s also!

Hi to everyone else~

Went to the Dr today

Hi, ladies, after all of your advice lately, I wanted to send you an update. Not sure if you remember, but I haven't had a period for 3 months, and I'm not pregnant. I just got back from the dr.

I'm not pregnant, and he said there are so many factors that can cause a period to come or not come, there's no telling what could be causing it. He did say that a missed period is no laughing matter and could be a pre-cursor to uterine cancer. So we have to stimulate my period to start.

He said that the reason I've been a little bloated (and probably the reason I'm not losing weight) is that my uterine lining keeps building and building, and without ovulation, I haven't had a period to clean it out. Well, we knew that part. So, I have to slough it all out, then we can work on getting my cycle regular in order to conceive.

I have a prescription for Provera (progesterone) which will stimulate a period. Then, I have a prescription for 3 months of Clomid to stimulate ovulation. Then, the fun begins! I honestly can say I can't wait to have my period. What a relief it will be!!

Hubby's taking me out to lunch so we can discuss it. Maybe we can get back to that "trying" status!

Thanks for all your help! Hopefully I'll have some good news to report in the next couple of months! Later!

Well, I think I just had my first BH contraction. Very odd feeling!! It sort of felt like my lower belly tightened up on the inside. Is that what they feel like? It was very strange. Not painful at all, just weird. LOL!

Hi Everyone -

Having a couple of blah days, so I haven't posted. Feeling so tired lately and don't have the enthusiasm to come to work. So many things going on right now that I am just feeling overwhelmed!

I did receive a nice care package in the mail yesterday from my bestfriend. She received some duplicate items at her baby shower so instead of returning them she sent them to me. There was a lot of cute stuff in there!

Jen - WooHoo on going to the Karate class. The weather was so nice last night that I should have gotten out and gone for a walk but was to dang lazy.

Shenandoah - Great picture of you! You look wonderful!!!! Have fun cleaning the house

Suzanne - Hope your day got better! Sorry you had such a rough morning!

Amy - At least in Vegas all the buffets do have a lot of protein and salads to choose from. Alot of them also offer sugar free desserts as well. Where are you staying??? Hopefully somewhere that has a nice pool. We have been averaging around 100 during the day. Hope you had a nice lunch with your friends!

Lauren - Hi There! Can't believe the Kendall is already 4 weeks!

Mrs. Sarah - I am feeling like a zombie today as well!

Kristen - Sorry about the fridge problems. Sounds like a fun time yesterday!

Darlene - Glad you went and saw your doctor. that everything returns to normal so you can start trying again. Pop in and let us know how you are doing!

Good Morning Ladies!

Shenendoah you look darling!

Hi everyone! I will keep this short 'cause I am pretty sick again today, and to top it all off I think I'm getting a UTI!

I just got some "Sea Bands" and I'm wearing them now. Boy, do I look stylish! (Maybe if it were still the '80's) Lovely gray knitted cuffs. I haven't barfed since wearing them yet, though. Does anybody know if you can wear them around the clock? I could just see me getting varicose veins in my hands from overuse or something!

My doc called in a prescription for the B6/Unisom combo if this doesn't work. I'm soooo tired already I really can't imagine taking Unisom. I have totally cut out caffeine, too.

BBL

Kelley

Afternoon Ladies

I just came from the doctor, and just got off the phone with my husband....here I sit in tears and don't know where else to turn.

I went for my 12 week appointment an hour ago. My blood pressure was good, which to me is what worries me most due to my first pregnancy it skyrocketed. My blood sugars were within normal ranges, thankfully. Then she weighed me. TWENTY POUNDS in one month???? I just weighed on my scale this morning and got a gain of 4 in a month....where'd these other 16 come from?? My doctor was "jokingly" livid as she'd like to see me not gain one pound if possible due to my weight. Trust me, I argued the accuracy of her scale.

Then she proceeds to attempt to find the baby's heartbeat with the doppler. Two minutes go by....five minutes go by...I start to get nervous. Ten minutes later...she finally stops and asks if I can come in for an ultrasound tomorrow to "confirm a heartbeat". Of course I haven't bled or spotted so she reassured me everything should be fine. She's also going to measure my cervix as I'm at risk for early dilation due to a previous procedure years ago.

As if that wasn't enough....she then starts going over my bloodwork/pap smear results. I'm not going to share too much here, even with strangers, but a test has returned positive that totally floored me. I sat there stunned and unable to talk....only to be reassured it only meant extra medication daily in the last month before my scheduled c-section. Of course my mind is reeling at how this test came positive and the factors it would take to do so.

So my ultrasound is scheduled for tomorrow after work with an appointment following with my doctor. They wouldn't even schedule next month's appointment today....telling me I have to wait until tomorrow to do so.

Then to top it all off....my husband has the interview of his life tonight at 6pm so I can't even really talk to him about all this yet. Sorry to ramble...I just don't know what to do or how to feel about all this.

FL: I'm sorry that your appointment was so stressful. I wouldn't stress about the weight gain if you've been monitoring on your home scale. Sixteen pounds is a pretty big difference.

I know how hard it is waiting for that u/s tomorrow. You are still early to find the heartbeat, so don't stress too much. It can be harder to find the hb on heavier women as well (which I am, and struggled with as well).

Thirdly, I don't know what you had come back positive, but from what the doc is saying it doesn't sound like you have too much to worry about.

Since you haven't had any bleeding, etc, you are probably just fine.

You are in my prayers, and so is your hubby for his interview!

Let us know how everything goes. I hope DH does well on interview -

Wendy and Sarah- Hi guys!

Kristen: Me too! That totally sucks!! Right after Xmas, my mom and I went to Sears to look at their sales. I found a used gas range for $300. I am DYING for a gas range. So, I bought it. My dad came down with his truck and picked it up. On the way home, it tipped over in the back of the truck and SMASHED to pieces. Not repairable, not returnable, and not more than our deductible. We just had to suck it up and put it out for the trash man when we got home.

Hi, ladies. Looks like today's a bad day for a lot of us. Me too.

I stopped at a grocery store on the way home from work. When I was backing out of a parking space, I backed into another car pulling out. I didn't feel any impact, but there was quite a bit of damage - at least $800 for my car. The guy said I backed into him, but I swore I looked both ways and didn't see anything. I didn't admit any fault, so I hope my insurance company will fight this one for me. This reminds me of getting a call at work that someone hit my car in the parking lot. I came out, and there's a pregnant woman, probably just a few weeks before she's due (like me now), who hit my car when she was pulling in. Same type of damage, $800. Deja vu in a different way... I've gotten hit about 5 times in a parking lot now. Not a very good place to be.

Jen - on getting your energy back!

Stephanie - You look good!! I swear I was a little bigger than that at 20w. I'm barely 5'5", so that maybe why.

Suzanne - I hope your day got better!

Amy - Because I heard that you're going to look like you're 5 months preg after delivery, I'm going to bring my maternity clothes. I'd rather have them baggy than not fit into them, especially because my medium shorts don't fit anymore.
Good luck while in Vegas. I gained 5 lbs after coming back from
