good morning to everyone!

This is going to be a very busy day, so I might not be back. I have been working on a special project at work for the last 7 months and the completion date is a week and a half away. So I will have brief moments in the morning and be missing the rest of the day.

I hope everyone is feeling good....that some energy comes your way and MS disappears!

Yesterday was awful. I threw up before work and then again at work! I wasn't sure I was going to make it through but I did. I ended up not taking anything but the Zofran for my nausia and my folic acid. I think maybe not taking the prenatal helped me feel better today. Is there any other vitamin we can take without iron but without a lot of vitamin A. The doctor said I couldn't take my Atkins vitamins because it had too much vitamin A, but I'm positive the iron in the supplement isn't helping in the bm department and perhaps even the culprit for making me more queesy. Any suggestions? With a little bit of food I can stomach I would feel better if I took a multivitamin to pick up the slack until I get my appetite back.

Amy

Good morning ladies...
My u/s yesterday was great! Baby was 2lbs6ozs, good heartrate, and kicking a lot. He's also head down, which explains why my hips hurt so much! He's exactly 50%ile in weight and length. Yay!!!!

Metro... each pernate differs so much in how it effects you. I used to take a prescription one, and I would get so sick. Then I switched to an over the counter one (which my dr. said was just fine) that had less iron, and no sickness. Also, I take my prenate right before bedtime, and that helps a lot with not getting sick.

Another busy day here. Hope you all have a good one!

Good morning!

Jen - Good luck on getting your project done!

Amy - Sorry abouty our ms. I've read on another forum that Flitstones chewable vitamins are recommended by a lot of OBs. I don't know if they contain iron or not though. I tried one OTC, and it made me nauseous. My OB gave me samples of Citracal Prenatal Rx, and this one has stool softener. It doesn't make me sick at all. Good luck!!

Ellen - Glad to hear your u/s went so well!

Good morning mommies-

Not much going on here- I feel good. I did get my shipment in from Gap maternity yesterday- I got the best pants!! I love them- I did have to return a shirt I got because it just didn't look right. Oh well- I loved everything else I got.

Sorry about all the m/s you guys are having! UGH!

Ellen- great u/s-

Katie- My doctor recomends Flinstone chewables. He says they have everything you need.

Angela hasn't been on in awhile. I hope everything is ok-

Hope everyone has a good day-

Morning ladies!

Well, I'm not feeling so good today. I feel really nauseous... and I was just rejoicing that my m/s has been gone for about a week! I also feel like I might get a headache. I took some medicine right away, so I'm hoping to get it under control before it gets bad.

I felt the baby move all day yesterday. It was so awesome! That is the most I have felt in one day ever. I also felt like I weighed 9 zillion pounds. It was an odd feeling. I felt like my tummy was huge and my legs were going to go out from under me. I don't feel like that today. Weird.

Jen: Good luck with your project!

Amy: I'm sorry you are suffering with m/s. As far as prenates go, mine made me really sick if I didn't take them with a meal. Also, if I took them with citrus juice... .

Teach: I'm so glad your u/s was good!

Katie: Hi!

Kristen: I have to check out that Gap. I have heard really good things about them!

Hi everyone,

Nobody is very chatty this morning.

Sarah- Sorry you aren't feeling well... hope it goes away soon.

Kristen- I wish we could get gap maturnity here. Their clothes are so nice.

Ellen- Great news about the ultra-sound!! Glad everything is nice and normal.

Jen- good luck with all the work.. don't overdo it.

Amy- That sucks about being sick! I take my prenatal vits at night and they didn't seem to make me too sick.

I have had a rough couple of days.. again. Sorry if this is TMI!! I had a headache all day Sunday and Monday then yesterday afternoon diarrehea!! Bad!! I hate it... I always feel so dirty, I usually end up taking showers everytime after I use the bathroom. I was up all night with it too. I am missing work today... I need to just hang out around my toilet. Before I got pregnant, I'd occasionally get tummy upset, and I'd just take a bunch of IMODIUM and deal with it at work. Now, I can't take anything. If this doesn't go away by this afternoon I'll call my doctor. I figure I can handle anything that lasts 24 hr or less. I don't have any other symptoms... I'd been a little worried about premature labour, but I think I'm fine. I feel guilty missing work though. Everything else is okay. Maybe I need a forced day of relaxation.

Glad you passed the glucose-tolerance test Wendy. Hi to everybody else. Provided my stomach doesn't explode, I'll be here throughout the day.

Nicole

Hey, me too! I liked the Citracal because of the mild stool softner. But I still have to take it right after a meal. I read in the instructions that it said to take it 1 hour after a meal. I tried that for about a week. I finally realized that taking it 1 hour after a meal was making me sick.... , so I went back to taking it with breakfast.

Nicole & Amy~ I hope you two start to feel better. If not, give your doc a call. Take care of yourself.

Nicole: I'm sorry you are sick. Diarrhea is the worst! I'm happy that you stayed home. Sounds like your body could use the rest.

I'm feeling much better. I ended up getting sick and then felt perfectly fine afterward. Weird! I have no idea where that came from!

Thanks Jen and Sarah. You are both so sweet. I'm glad you are feeling better Sarah. I've just been sitting at the computer, munching on dry toast and sipping water. I am a little crampy, but haven't had an explosion for a couple of hours!!

Good morning everyone. Sorry to those that aren't feeling well. The nurse practioner that I saw last week told me to eat a protein snack after dinner and protein for breakfast, that will help not feeling naseous with the prenatal pills. Hope that helps.

Hi mommies!

Doing good today. Had the weird urge to bake cookies this morning. Make Peanut butter cookies, then took them to work and passed them out. Is this normal?

Amy: Sorry you are feeling so poorly. MS is the worst! As for prenates, I refuse to take them because they make me sooooo sick! I take Trader Joe's Multi's, a seperate calcium pill and some liquid folic acid/B12 complex (under the brand Isotonix). I never got sick from it, They have alot of b vitamins in them which is great for energy, and I get 800 MCG total of folic acid as well.

Sarah: Sorry you are still feeling ill, hope you're feeling better.

I went to Fashion Bug over the weekend and they have maternity clothes. Yay! I don't need them yet, but it is nice to know I won't have to pay an arm and a leg for trendy maternity wear. I hate the idea of looking like a tent while preggo, I want to proudly show off my belly. Gap maternity sounds cool too, if a little pricey. Ebay has whole lots of maternity clothes also available for killer prices, if you can manage to outbid the others. (they are rabid on there sometimes!).

Aphexacid: Hope you feel better soon!

Well this weekend is painting of the kitchen. I just found out that a lady at work here is house hunting in my area, and am hopeful I can get her interested in my house. Wish me luck!

Shandril-
I forgot about fashion bug- Do they have plus size maternity clothes or just normal sizes. That is my problem I need plus sizes- I normally wear a 18 so it is harder for me to find maternity clothes- The good news is I just started to wear my maternity clothes and I am 26 weeks along. Actually I am still wearing a few of my old clothes that where getting big on me when I found out I was pg but I am sure that will not last much longer- LOL!!

Good luck trying to sell your house. What a pain huh- Are you trying to sell it yourself?

Kristen: I have heard that JC Penney's has a good plus size collection. I haven't checked them out yet. I need plus sizes also, I wear a 20/22, but my main problem is that I am really tall (5' 11"), so I can find shirts and pants that fit, but they are often really short.

Viki and Shandril: Hi!

Hi Mommies!

We just got home and it is good to be back. The vacation was really nice; we travel all the time but we are always on a mission. This time we didn't have a lot of things to do, just lay around the pool and relax. We are all a bit tanner and well rested.

I am so sorry to hear about all you sick women. I always took my prenatal vitamin after dinner, right before I went to bed. I never felt sick while I was sleeping....LOL During my last pregnancy, the doctor had me drink a prenatal milk shake every day. I can't remember the name of the product but it never made me sick.

Nicole, my last doctor told me to take Kaopectate (sp?) when I got a mild touch of the "touristas" during my last pregnancy. That was during the first trimester so it must not be harmful to the fetus...And it worked.

Sarah, you are so tall! Is your husband tall? No wonder you can feel that baby kicking all day long! My husband is 6'4" and Max was 23 inchs long when he was born--his feet were 4 inches long! I really hope this one is little....

Hi to everyone else, I need to go read the last 3 days.

Saludos,

Suzanne

I don't know if Fashion Bug's maternity is plus size or not. I was actually looking for a swimsuit. I just happened to come across A maternity rack. I think they would though as they also sell plus size regular clothing. I will keep you posted.

DH is 6'3... all of the women on his side are my height or taller. His uncle is 6'8, so his whole family REALLY tall. My side is all really average. Women are of average height, except for me. Who knows how this baby will turn out!

Sarah, if you plan to go natural, I hope for your sake the baby takes after your mom! Max has a super big head and I am worried this one will, too....

We saw a friend of ours this week who is 14 weeks pregnant and she is having twins! Unfortunately, she's had a bit of placenta seperation but the doctors thinks it will be OK. Here's a question for Chris or Shenandoah: If there is only one sac, does that mean the twins are identical?

Thininmex: One sac = identical twins. One of the more dangerous twinning varieties, due to cord entanglement issues, but usually pretty safe nowadays with modern medicine and monitoring.

Separate sacs can fraternal or identical.

Hi friends,

Just checking in, sorry to hear m/s is hitting hard. I haven't really had it too bad yet but I'm definitely more tired that usual. I start out the day ok but by 8pm or so I 'm ready to crawl into bed. The other thing I've noticed is that I get full of food very fast, I've had to cut my portion sizes down majorly or I feel naseous. So, I'm taking a clue from my French hubby and eating like 5 small meals a day instead.
