Good morning!

Nothing much new to report here. Yesterday was a very quiet day for our usually chatty thread.

I will be having my 20 week ultrasound on 7/8. I am so excited. I really want to find out what it is going to be.

Hope everybody is doing well!

Good morning!

This week is dragging by. I don't know how I can be so tired all of the time! I definitely haven't gotten that boost of energy that people talk about for the second trimester.

This morning I was laying in bed and my tummy was really hard in one spot. I had DH come over and feel it. I think I freaked him out. LOL! I like that he's able to start feeling the differences in my tummy now. It makes me feel more preggo.

Not much else going on today. My 20 week u/s is 7/1. I am so excited, I can hardly wait!!

Jen: Morning!

Shandril: Hi! Grease and red meat are common in causing queasiness. I'm glad you aren't suffering too badly. Your trip sounds exhausting! I'm glad you made it there and back safely.

Good morning. Today is day 2 of our VBS. I also have an u/s scheduled this afternoon. I'm tired just thinking about it. Still not sleeping well, so I'm just plain tired all the time.

Sorry I haven't had much time for posting. It's been a hugely busy week.

HI Ladies....hope everyone is doing well.

I'm home today from work with a horrendous headache that started last night. Spoke with my doctor and went to pharmacy looking for regular strength Tylenol. Man that stuff's hard to find!! Finally took some and feeling a little better.

Good morning!

Finally caught up from Friday! I think I've had this nagging cold for the past few weeks. I spent pretty much all weekend eating and sleeping. I'm still tired, not to mention my psychotic behavior with my raging hormones.

I had an anxiety "fit" last night. I used to get those once in a while. All this work stress and getting my maternity/FMLA leave straightened out, plus my poor kitty's tumor appearing in another spot just made me break down. I'm better today because I'm [hardly] working at home.

I've been getting a lot of twinges and aches in my pelvic area, especially when standing up from a laying position. I feel sooo heavy... I can hardly walk anymore. I really want to start my leave in the next 2 weeks, so I'll have to beg my doctor to write me a note... Why don't we have a choice on when we can go on leave? It's very irritating.

Jen - Waiting for 7/8 will feel like eternity! Good luck!

Sarah - My energy gradually started to climb, so I'm sure it'll be here for you soon! Good luck on 7/1!!

Teach - I feel the same way - just blah. Good luck at your appt!

FL - Sorry about your headache. This, too, shall pass!

Hi Everyone -

Went for another U/S yesterday to see how big my little boy is getting. Let's just say I really can't call him little anymore! He is already at 4lbs 10oz, and normaly a baby at 30 weeks is 3lbs. So, I go back on August 9th for another U/S to see how big he is and will most likely be induced on Aug. 16th! I see my dr on Thursday and will give her the results of the U/S if the other Dr hasn't sent them over! He already has a lot of hair and chubby cheeks. They said his head and shoulders are pretty big, but I am still hoping to have him natural!

Jen - I couldn't wait to find out what I was having. With our first we didn't find out but for some reason we wanted to this time around!

Sarah - That is so cool that DH felt the little one inside. DH and I find ourselves staring at my belly and watching him move all around. Not much longer for you to find out either!

Teach - I hope next week will be a more restful week for you!! Good luck at the U/S!!

DespinFl - Hope the headache is going away! I had some really bad ones in my 20-24 weeks. They have finally gone away!

FluffiB - Sorry to hear about your Kitty! Hope everything turns out ok!!!! I hear you on having one of those kind of days! I get like that and I just need a good cry and some alone time!!! I hope the dr. will write a letter for you so you can take your leave early!

Good afternoon mommies-

Shandril- You have made me in the mood for a Fajita burger- LOL!

Jenn and Sarah- Good luck at your u/s. They are so awesome!!

Ellen- VBS- I used to love VBS when I was little. Hope it's not too stressful!

FL- Hope the headache is gone.

Katie- - Seems like you need a hug!

Wendy- You little boy is not so little- LOL! Was Madison big? Jessica was 7lbs 8 oz- and a week overdue so she was pretty small. I forget had you guys picked a name out?

We are having the hardest time with a name- UGH!!!
I feel like it is so much pressure to choose a good name. I used to hate my name growing up and always wanted to change it. It has grown on me. Now I hate my last name, but Shawn would not change his name and I wanted us to have the same last name-

We kinda like Jonathan- But I don't like John and I know someone will shorten it. Oh well we have a lot of time to think of one!

Kristen

Hi everyone!

Got the blood test results back from the doctor today. HCG level was 635, I'm in week 5 so tentative EDD is around Feb 21!

I'm so excited!

Wari: I'm thinking about trying natural too... was there any reason in particular you want to go that way?

Names... oh my, where to begin!

Sarah-

Are you guys going to find out at your U/S or do you want to be suprised? We never had a boy name picked out last time and we didn't know Jessica was a girl. We actually had picked out Jessica's name when we where still in High School- That was just always the girl's name that we both liked and wanted!

Hi Everyone -

Kristen - We don't have a name picked out yet!!! We are having a terrible time coming up with a name. Madison was 9lbs7oz and was 2 weeks early I was induced with her, so if she had been full term God knows how big she would have been!!!

MissGigl - WooHoo on finding out your due date! Oh, I should have said Natural with Drugs I really meant I wanted to deliver vaginally and not have to have a C-Section! I would rather go through the pain before birth rather than after.

Question: Do any of ever feel like your heart is pounding? I get this all the time. It happens when I'm sitting really still at my desk at work. I get kind of short of breath and I can feel my heart beating really hard. Does this make sense? It's not a scary feeling, it just sort of feels like I've been running around when I haven't been...

Sarah- I have never had anything like that happen- I would mention it to your doctor- Is that what people call heart palpatations (sp?).

Miss Gigl- Congrats on finding your due date- Feb is a good month!!

Thanks for the warm thoughts, everyone.

Wendy - Good luck this Thur!

Kristen - I personally don't like names that you can shorten either. Too much confusion when to use real vs. nickname.

Miss Gigl - I forgot to say and congratulations!! I want to go natural without drugs because of many reasons. But if I'm in labor for so long and in so much pain, I will ask for epidural. Books to recommend are Ina May's Guide to Childbirth and Birthing from Within. There's also the Bradley Method, but I couldn't rely on DH for a few reasons...

Sarah - What you're feeling is normal, just like everything else. Your OB will probably tell you it's from increased blood volume. I would get the same feeling often times after I ate. Sometimes, my heart feels like it's beating in my throat really hard. I was told these were all normal (as long as your BP is OK).

We can't agree on a name either. I have a feeling my poor little man won't have one until a few days after delivery. We have about 3 names that were on both of our lists, but he just won't budge from Michael. I like the name, but I want something more unique, and I won't like people calling him Mike or Mikey. Since we women have to go through all the pain, why can't it be something we want?

Hi everyone. Just got back from my ultrasound appointment a little while ago. There is ONE baby! My uterus has extra fibers though which is why I was measuring bigger. The technician told me that its nothing to worry about though. Lets see what the doctor says. I am 8 weeks and 6 days along. Anyone have that? a uterus with extra fiber cell?

I would like the sex of this baby to be a surprise but I'm one of those people that can't wait, so I'm sure I'm going to find out. I don't want DH to know though because he'll tell everyone and I want to keep it a surprise from the rest of the family.

Hi Guys,

I'm super sick. ...barfing with no warning. Not fun. I love to read your posts, but have no energy for personals. Please tell me it gets better...I'm only 7 weeks! Is this a bad sign of long lasting MS?

Kelley: It's hard to say how bad it will be for you. Everyone is so different. If you have really bad vomitting, you may want to call your doc. They can prescribe you some medicine to stop vomitting. You don't want to get dehydrated, plus, you need to eat.

I'm sorry you are going through this... the upside, is that have sickness is a good sign that your little bean is doing well!

Slow day today...

Kelley - Sorry to hear your ms is so bad. Like Sarah said, the dr should be able to prescribe you something.

My cat's spot on his skin wound up being just a hot spot, whole 3" long! Topical ointment for 2 weeks should take care of it. I am soooo relieved. Only if he would stop licking it...

I feel so bad for not posting more, I have been so exhausted! I too am waiting for that 2nd trimester boost of energy...maybe with the twins they will just decide to have me skip that?!?!

I wanted to pipe up with something that might help with the MS. They're called Relief Bands and send a small electrical pulse up the nerve in your wrist. (They aren't like the sea bands) They are pricey...about $80 but some insurance companies cover them. They stop the MS for me in less than 60 seconds, especially the nausea! Chemo and anesthesia patients are prescibed them in hospitals (which is where I saw them used)

Look them up online.

K, I'm off to bed again...
