Ladies who have done induction and have been pregnant
No, not at the same time.
Got a weird question for ya though.....for those of you that did Atkins induction did you get naucious and/or lose your appetite? I didn't get either, just a little light headedness. The reason I'm asking is because I wonder if some people are just suseptible to getting sick more than others. I know my mom was sick for the whole nine months with my sister and I, but she gets motion sickness really easy. I'm just kind of suprised I only had one episode of nausia the other day, but it was after getting out of the hot shower with a full tummy and it didn't last very long.....I would be interested to know what your experiences are..... Amy

I never had any type of nausia when I was pregnant, or when I did induction. I had a slight headache for the first few days on induction, but that's about it.

Oh I had both!!
For six months, I couldn't brush my teeth with stopping to gag/throw up. I couldn't smell strong smells, perfume, coffee or anything strong. Then one day it just went away! I was doing the happy pregnant dance! My induction nausea was awful as well. Congrats on the new baby to be, and a healthy nine months to you! |

Nausea is directly related to the amount of HCG (pregnancy hormone) in the blood. First time pregnancies are often the worst for experiencing the nausea of morning sickness (which tends to last all day). Eat small amounts throughout the day and know that usually it does improve after the first trimester, when the body seems to acclimate to the pregnant state and begin to thrive.

wow i was like your mom sick the whole 9 months with my first baby.... it was the joke in my house.... how must preggo ppl get up 100 times at night to pee well i had to get up to throw up... it was horrid.... doc had to put me on meds so i could keep things down...even when i was in labor with her had feet in syrups and head in a emisis basin .. now with my son i was sick off and on for the first few months then it was gone....
now with induction (even the re-inducts) i have bouts of nausea... where i am fine one min then the next fighting off the feeling....... but nothing like when i had morning sickness. i do know when i am in ketosis i am scared to burp lol! cause you just never know what is following it! |

I thought I was going to die when I was preggers, I was so sick I couldn't clean, I couldn't eat, brush my teeth, smell or even look at fast food signs, (of course I did eat and clean and brush my teeth, just was very difficult) that last about the first 18 weeks, but didn't start until around 8 weeks, but not in induction, just slight nausea for a day or so and that was it...
CONGRATS TO YOU!! If you have no ms lucky you ![]() Last edited by gonnagetthin : 06-09-2004 at 10:27 AM. |

Thanks everyone. There does seem to be some sort of trend though that if you were sick during induction you had morning sickeness too. I'm only in the middle of my 6th week so I know I'm not out of the woods yet!
I'm just kind of suprised it hasn't started yet since my mom had it so bad. Although, my grandma said she felt great when she was pregnant, but she also had a stillborn and two miscarriages, so I think deep down I'm kind of hoping for a little morning sickness. Amy P.S. - Hi Chantel. Haven't had candida symptoms since coming off the pill, but I got something else instead. It's ok, we decided to start trying right away. |
