Buenos Dias Damas,

Today we are going to Chetumal, the nearest big city, to see the new Harry Potter movie. It will be dubbed in Spanish but that's only a problem for DH as he's not totally fluent. He said it wouldn't be a problem, he's read the book! We've taken Max to a couple of other movies but he only lasts about an hour. I hope he can sit through this one.

I also have to see my accountant which means I better get my taxes done now. I'll check in before we leave.

Good morning ladies.

Got a weird question for ya.....for those of you that did Atkins induction did you get naucious and/or lose your appetite? I didn't get either, just a little light headedness. The reason I'm asking is because I wonder if some people are just suseptible to getting sick more than others. I know my mom was sick for the whole nine months with my sister and I, but she gets motion sickness really easy. I'm just kind of suprised I only had one episode of nausia the other day, but it was after getting out of the hot shower with a full tummy and it didn't last very long.....I would be interested to know what your experiences are.....

Morning Guys,

I'm up early for a meeting at work so I can finally post before all the hoopla. Been feeling kinda moody/grouchy the past few days and I don't know if it's pregnancy or the rainy, dreary weather here, or both.

I've been having a very localized burning, stretching sensation in my skin and muscle a couple of inches under my right boob and it's painful, feels almost like a bad sunburn. Anyone else experienced this? I'm sure it's just expansion but odd that it's in one spot.

Hi Suzanne! Hope Maximillien is feeling better this morning. I'm so excited to move up to the 3rd trimester, although the weird thing is that all the books disagree on when that it starts....26th, 27th, or 28th week. Any way you look at it, we're both close.

Trish--I'm sooo glad you guys are doing well. I was just thinking about you this morning and a little worried. Prayers for your little tiny guy to get bigger FAST!

Red--Looking good! You really don't look like you're carrying twins. A lot of moms with twins are huge!

Did I tell you guys that I let DH pick out the middle name? He loves the outdoors, sailing, etc. and wanted her to have a nature name, so she'll be Sophie Sky. It was a little hippie for me at first but has totally grown on me and I love it now.

metro--I get motion sickness terribly in the car but haven't had much morning sickness at all. Just a touch in the beginning but not bad. And super low levels of carbs will sometimes make me nauseous, but not often.

Congratulations Trish! I am so glad to hear that you and Bradley are OK. I can imagine how exhausted you must be just from the stress alone. Hope Brad gets to come home soon.

Hi Trolly, good to hear from you! Max is fine, thanks for asking. Obviously too much excitement.

Amy, I was in maintenance when I got pregnant, eating about 70 to 100 gms of carbs per day. I added in whole milk and more fruit as soon as I found out. I started getting sick around the 7th or 8th week. Don't think it had anything to do with diet, it's just the way my body deals with a healthy pregnancy. (I wasn't sick at all the time I miscarried.)

I just got some disturbing news. During our last trip to Cancun I went in for a thyroid screen even though I wasn't due for a few more weeks. My pulse has been really high all through my pregnancy and the OB I am seeing thought it could be because of my thyroid med. My endocrinologist just got the results back yesterday and he sent me an email that literally translates to, "I hope to God you can come see me...." That my thyroid levels are very high and not in line with the last test, especially considering that I have decreased my dosage....So now I get to think about that until 10 AM when I can call him. And we don't know whether we should go to Chetumal for the movie or wait and see if we have to rush to Cancun.

No progress here yet. Last night I had quite a few contractions, they were painful and coming about every 12 minutes for 2 hours but fizzled out. About 11, I hadn't felt her move for an hour and Phill leaned over and put his head on my belly, talking to her. She kicked up a storm! We laughed and laughed. As soon as he stopped, so did she!

My appt is tomorrow at 2:30- praying for progress

Trish - I'm so relieved you checked in! We were all worried! CONGRATULATIONS, and we're glad all the tests came back normal. Hope he gets to go home soon!!

Suzanne - I did hear that being pregnant can do wacky things to your thyroid. I hope all is well.

Amy - Atkins induction did reduce my appetite a little bit, but I wasn't very nauseous. I conceived when I just reinducted. I had nausea off and on throughout the day during the 1st trimester, but I never threw up. It went away for a few weeks in the 2nd tri, then came back for 2 more weeks. With my mom, she was sick the entire time with my brother, but with the girls, she only threw up in the AM during the 1st tri.

Trolly - Sophie Sky sounds neat! At least you guys agreed on the name!

Lauren - How's Kendall? Are you sleeping well?

Tracy - Darn! False alarm! I'm for your progress too. I just realized that after you're done, it's my turn next!!

Mac is being an awesome big sister!!! So very helpful and understanding...much less jealous than I expected her to be since she's always been a big attention hog. Kendall is doing better at night, but still gets up every 2-3 hours to eat. She pretty much goes right back to sleep, though, so not too bad.

No pre-preggo clothes yet, but we're getting there. All my pre-preggo clothes are 8s and 10s, and I'm in 12-14 right now, depending on the cut. I'm hard core Atkins, though, and plan to start some light exercising today. Ya know, just crunches, leg lifts, etc... We have been walking each day, but it's going to be too hot the next couple of days to do that. At any rate, I have 16 pounds to get back to pre-preggo weight and 20 pounds to goal. Considering she's not quite 2 weeks old yet, I'm happy with that. Just hoping I lose it FAST!!

good afternoon ladies!

I had another dr appt at the free hospital,there are issues.

1- the babies are two weeks behind in growth. Sammy is 2 weeks 4 days behind. I have increased my protein to see if I can bump their weights up.

2- I am not gaining weight either. Dr´s issue not mine..lol

3-my BP is 120/80 the bottom number is a bit high.

4- I have a red rash on my right arm. ok ok That one is my issue, according to the dr- its normal.

5- This time, this dr (I never get the same one more than twice)
decided she needed to check my cervic to see if it was closed(it is)
But she was rooting for gold. THEN, she has the balls to ask me if I get contrations. I just thought .. ya witch I best not get them after that or I will find you and hunt you down! But aloud I said no(rather nicely)

Trish- congrats! I am also cheering for Brad to gain weight so he can come home where he belongs!

Tracy- sending labour vibes your way, doll!

Suzanne- I hope the thyroid issue gets straightened out ASAP! Poor Max and puking, AT least he was not sharing the pool with others eh?

Amy- I was usually always on induction, its where I lose the best. I never did get nauseated, or lightheaded, but I was tired alot, I think I had iron probs even then. And when I got pregnant, I added in all sorts of things. And I was super MS. Nasty business.

Trolly- your DH did good. I love her name! Never had that burning sensation, but ask the dr..lol They will tell you :

Trish: I am so happy to finally hear from you and that you and Bradley are safe!! I know from 1st hand experience how awful, traumatic, and exhausting it is to leave a baby in the NICU. I am still praying for you and hope that little Bradley will eat eat eat so he can come home soon!! Please take care of yourself - I know that is the last thing in your mind right now but Bradley will need his mother healthy when he gets home

Suzanne: Hope that thyroid problem is easily resolved!!! Drs should NOT leave messages like that!!!! Don't they know it makes us a basket case until we talk to them!

Amy: I never was sick on the Atkins induction - a few headaches but no tummy problems. My 1st pregnancy was completely MS free, 2nd pregnancy I had MS pretty consistantly through the 1st trimester, and this pregnancy has pretty much been MS free except in the beginning when I was limiting my carbs too much (that always made me sick) - at least it was manageable.

trolly: hope that pain goes away! I really like Sophie Sky

Tracy: Geez I hope you have progressed! Not nice of them changing your due date that late in the game

Chris: What a jammed packed dr's appt!! Hopefully those babies will have a growth spurt this week and your bp will go down - what was your baseline bps early on? Those cervix checks are for the BIRDS!!!!

Sorry I have been MIA this week - I can't remember if I told you all that I had another round of INTENSE contractions again Sunday - I ended up taking the Brethine and it took a little while for them to calm down, then I noticed I lost a few chunks of my plug. Guess that means SOMETHING is going on cervically. I called my dr Monday and they want me to monitor them closely and "take it easy" (THIS is a joke b/c I all ready am a couch potato) - I am suppose to take the brethine if I have 6+ contractions an hour. Nothing like being in labor 2 mths before your due date consistantly. I had another bout yesterday - so right now it looks like I contract one day, the next I am super sore and cranky, then more the next. Anyways - that is where I have been. I will be so happy when Michael is HERE and things can get back to normal!!!

Morning ladies!

All is well here. It's nice and cool... Last night I had the biggest craving for BBQ, so we went out to Goodwood BBQ, it was SO good!!

I'm doing really well with weight gain... I haven't gained anything yet. I'm still 1 lb under pre-preg weight. I'm so happy about that!

I had a lady I work with tell me that I'm starting to show. I didn't know if I beleived her or not. LOL! I'd like to think I am, but I'm just not sure.

I sat down this morning and listened to the heartbeat. I just love it, it's so reassuring to hear it. The little bugger moves all around though. It just darts back and forth and I have to chase it with the doppler.

I've been having an itchy belly lately. I don't know if that means it's starting to stretch or what. I've also had a very full feeling in my abdomen.

Suzanne: You are in my prayers with the thyroid stuff.

Amy: I started getting m/s at about 7 or 8 weeks. I felt pretty good up to then and then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I had no appetite for weeks. Nothing sounded good and I had to force myself to eat. That is no longer a problem...

Trolly: I would be you are stretching. I have heard lots of women say that it's pretty painful sometimes.

Lauren: Your pictures are so adorable! You're gonna be in your skinny clothes before you know it!

Hi Everyone -

Thank goodness it is Wednesday! I am off on Friday and DD and I are catching our flight to Sacramento. I tell you Friday can't come soon enough!

DH is taking DD out to dinner tonight while I go out with a couple of friends to Outback! DD wanted to go to Sushi, but I doubt they end up doing that.

Thininmex - Hope everything turns out ok with your thyroid. How can a dr. leave a message like that, totally worries you.

Red - Hope the protein helps the little ones gain. I was picturing you hunting this dr. down the streets .

Lauren - Cute Pictures!

Tracy - Good luck at the dr. Hope there is progress.

Amy - I never was nauseated during induction, but for the 1st 14 weeks of this pregnancy was horrible. I never threw up but was nauseated all day long.

FluffiB - WooHoo you are so close to meeting your little one. July will be here before you know it. How is work going for you?

Trisha - Congrats again!!! I can't wait to see pictures of Bradley and here that he gets to go home with you and Jason!!!!

Angel - Thinking of you! Sorry about the contractions and hope they calm down a bit.

Sarah - My stomach itches and I think it does have something to do with the stretching that is going on. BBQ sounds so good. We are going to a BBQ to celebrate DH's 40th b-day when his family comes into town next weekend. His b-day was on the 1st of June so he will have no clue everyone is coming out to Vegas.

Trolly - Good to see you. Sorry you have been a little grouchy, believe me I am right there with you! There have been some days I don't want anyone around me at work. Love the name that you and DH picked out.

Sarah: BBQ is top on my cravings LOL - Last week I made bbq chicken, bbq spare ribs and a pulled-pork roast for bbq sandwiches LOL - Mike is so sick of bbq and now I have all these leftovers..... GREAT for my lunches

Wendy: You dh's party sounds like it will be so much fun!! I bet he will be so surprised I love get-togethers like that during the summer - the kids can run around and the adults can sit relax and enjoy chatting.

Katie: Deal! You go first Its just this irritable uterus thing. Seems I have had it w/ all my pregnancies (I can't have a normal one you know!). The NP wants me to come in before my dr appt next week if I start bleeding any, loose more of my plug or the brethine doesn't get rid of the ctrx. My problem b/c of my high pain tolerance - I notice my back tightening if I am up and about during the day (I have been trying to finish the nursery) but I don't notice the intensity and frequency of them until I sit down to relax... by that time its time to take a pill LOL

Angel- here’s praying you hold out another month at least. I know those contractions are scary. Take it very very easy.

Sarah- I can’t believe you haven’t gained any weight! That’s awesome! I quit even trying to keep up with how much I have gained. I think it’s somewhere around 55 lbs! Yipes. I will be getting real real serious as soon as I bring little bit home. After breastfeeding, strict induction for me! Can’t wait to tuck my shirt in again!
