Good Morning Mommies,

It cracks me up how many of you post from work. Chat, chat, chat all day and then at 4 PM silence! I'm going to do my 10 K power walk now, hope there is some exciting news when I get home.

Cheers,

Suzanne

Well, I've been at work all night (I work straight mids) anticipating the thread starting, LOL!

Boy did I have the burps and gas last night. No heartburn like last night, but man!

Mrs. Sarah, I've had some of those vaginal cramps too. I think it might be my cervix tightening....I dunno. But they sure come quick, eh? My abdomen is permanetly sore and pooky now, sigh....

Well, have a great day ladies!

Good morning!

Yep, I am guilty of chatting from work . I had intentions of getting on last night from home, but I had a headache that lasted all evening so I ended up going to bed early.

So what will be the topic of the day today !

I'll be back later.

good afternoon ladies!

Thank goodness Suzanne is so great at starting the thread, in my time zone I am never sure where to post!

Love the colors Suzanne, you rock! Hows the nanny search? Or did you just decide to go with a replacement for you in the shop?

Sarah_ I never had the vagina crampage, but Samuel is the lower kid, and when he moves I have the painfulness of my cervics and intestines being battered...lol
Not the same but felt the need to share

I was worried the MS was coming back, thankfully it is not!
(knock on wood )

Idahospud!-I have no theory on keeping atkins either, I had terrible morning sickness, plus strong food adversions, but I am trying the last month or so to limit my carbs to around 100, sometimes it works great but other times the call of cinnamon toast is strong!

You all know I am going cloth diapers, which I found in the states, but could not find any rubber pants.. Any suggestions??

I forgot to ask...

I haven't been going to the bathroom any more frequently than I did before (although I went alot before because I drink 5-6 liters of water a day). But now it seems like it hits me really fast that I have to go bad, but when I get to the bathroom it takes me literally a few minutes to get going and then I have a lot of crampiness afterwards. Is this normal?

Amy-
Yep pretty normal for me also, I never got the pregnancy bladder either, but when I have to go, no one better be on the pot! And if I have to wait a sec to get started, I get slight cramps, the old hold the belly while waiting, works pretty good.

Good morning-

Yes - I have a hard time chatting from home. I just always have so much to do or Shawn is hogging the computer. He plays on-line games and sometimes I could kill him for all the time he spends on the computer. He hasn't been too bad lately but he has been known to spend hours on-line- UGH!! We have another computer I can get on that is hooked up to the network but it takes about 7 times of us turning it on to get on-line so I just don't bother- LOL!

Suzanne- Did you go for your walk? I walked yesterday at lunch- it feels so good to get out.

Amy- Sorry that never happened to me??? Are you going to continue to work midnights after the baby comes?

Chris- Have you tired ordering rubber pants on-line?

Trish- Still thinking of you!

Tracy- Any progress??

Later-
Kristen

Good morning! Boy, what a chatty group yesterday!! Well, I am the opposite of a lot of you. I cannot post from work because I am busy corraling 20 kiddos all day long. So I post from home before and after work, by which time all the fun is usually over.

It's hard for me to believe, but 2 women on another bb I post to, both due in Sept., had their babies yesterday. One was 24 weeks and one was 26. So far both are doing well and are strong but TINY babies! Praying that I can hold on for a while yet and not have to do the NICU thing.

4 more work days for me till baby! One of the few wonderful advantages of teaching is that I don't work summers, so I'll be off and finally able to get some rest. I don't expect to have to work till sometime in November after this Friday!!

Hi Ladies,

Glad to see you all made it to work I had a great walk, back up to par on speed and distance. I do get really bad stiches in my side at the beginning and sometimes during my walk. It is the same place where I had the mysterious pain a few weeks ago, that lasted from early morning until mid day. I thought I had appendicitis. Now I am wondering if it could be intestinal adhesions from the c-section. It'll be a good question for my midwife and doctor.

Chris, I'm a SAHM for now, might look for somebody to clean a few times a week but I am through with the nannies for now.

Good night Amy, have a good rest! What do you do that you work mids?

Kristen, my husband is playing Never Winter Nights right now. He doesn't play on line but it's one of those games that takes MONTHS to finish. Lately Max has gotten really interested and wants to sit on Eric's lap and watch him play. I had to veto that...when Max is an adult, he can decide for himself if he wants to be a vidiot. I don't want my kids growing up with Gameboys glued to their hands.

Hi Jen!

I need to eat breakfast, TTYL

Hi Ladies -

Suzanne - I'm a SAHM too, but around 4:00pm is when I start to motivate to get dinner on the table, clean up the mess from the day, etc. so I disappear for a while and sometimes check in again at night.

Amy - Had/have the gas, haven't had the vaginal cramps. In fact, I keep thinking I'm feeling the baby move, but then it seems it's just gas. Guess the baby isn't big enough or moving around enough to distinguish him from a gas buble

Got an ob appointment in an hour. BBL.

Yeah, I'm going to continue working straight midnights after the baby comes, which is actually a blessing because I used to work rotating and I am NOT a morning person and the flopping back and forth with the sleeping schedule was hard. I'm sure working a straight shift will help with the M/S and maybe I won't get really fatigued. I am a meteorologist. My husband will become a stay-at-home daddy after my maternity leave is over because we don't think that the cost of day care is worth it and we'd rather raise the little one ourselves. I'm the bread winner of the house so me staying at home isn't an option....but that's ok, because I love my job!

Amy, you'd fit right in with my in laws. FIL and SIL are meteorologists, DH has his masters in geology but actually worked as a computer consultant before we bought the dive shop. My FIL emails me a personalized forecast for this area every morning. It really comes in handy during hurricane season.

LizzyD- Good luck at the doctors-

Amy- It is so nice when you love your Job. I work days- 9-5 and my husband works 12 hour shift at night (7pm-7am). I hate him working nights, but he only works 3 days one week and 4 days another so it works out. At this time we both have to work- We could make it on only one salary but it would be very difficult. Shawn gets to watch Jessica one day a week and my mom watchs her one day a week and one of my bf watchs her the other 3. So we are very happy with that.

Good morning!!

Suzanne: Guilty! I post from work all day long! Good job on your walk!

Amy: Burps and gas... sounds about right! I also have problems trying to pee. It seems like it's harder to do now. Like I really have to try to get it going.

Jen and Kristen: Morning!!

Chris: I'm so glad your m/s isn't coming back! That's great news!!!

Teach: How nice that you don't have much time left before you are off of work! You lucky duck!

Lizzy: Hi!

Not much new here. I had some weird stretching sensations last night. It sort of felt like someone was pushing a needle through my belly to my womb. Very odd feeling. Everything else seems to be going okay!

Hi, everyone! Just caught up w/ all the posts from the last few days...

Tracy - Any progress???

Trish - I'm praying that everything is OK!

Suzanne - I chat at work just to get away. Since I work on computers all day, I don't want to see it when I get home.

Amy - I can relate to your gas and burping! I burp loud enough that DH gets disgusted, and sometimes I pass gas loud and unexpectedly that my cats even look at me funny! The peeing thing, there was a time in the 2nd tri that I couldn't go for a few minutes, but it went away. Yes, the urge comes on all the sudden, and if I hold it too long, it hurts!! I've been tested for UTI, and of course, negative.

Hi, Jen, Chris, and Kristen!

Ellen - I envy you! I have to have a doctor write a note if I want to take my maternity leave sooner than the week I'm due. I'm sure they will, but they sure don't make it easier on us prego ladies!

Lizzy - Good luck at your appt!

We drove 5 hours again to visit DH's family in Ohio, but this time for my baby shower! I got TONS of stuff! Unfortunately, no one took pictures (it's OK w/ me because I don't like to get my pics taken). I probably gained another 5 lbs from that.

Have a good one!

Hi, Mrs Sarah!

Hi Everyone -

Last night I was like a lump on a log - didn't hardly move off the couch. I was so exhausted from our long weekend that I just couldn't motivate myself to do anything but plop in front of the TV. I did go to bed at 9:00, but I still didn't fall asleep until around 10:00.

DD and I are flying to Sacramento this weekend to go to my Best Friends baby shower. She is due August 6th, about 3 weeks before me. This is her first and she is also having a boy. I will aslo see my dad over the weekend as he lives in Sacramento. My mom is also coming up for the shower, so I get to see her as well.

Thininmex - When I get home I rarely get on the computer. I have a laptop, but I am usually playing with DD. At least at work I have spare time to jump on before I start my day. Glad you enjoyed your walk!

Amy - Sounds like you love your job. Wish I could say the same thing, but there are days I really do dread coming in.

Babyblue - After you have the baby will you be able to keep the same babysitting schedule?? I wish we had family that lived closer to us.

FluffiB - Hi There! Was thinking about you this morning and hoping you were feeling good. How is the kitty?

LizzyD - Hi There! Good luck at your appointment!

Redjewel - I don't know how you do it with two of them! My little one was so active yesterday I swear he was stretching all fours at once! Glad the M/S hasn't come back!

Teach2live - Thank goodness your summer is just about here!! My bestfriend is a teacher and she just had her last day on the 3rd. Since she is also pregnant, she is so happy she can enjoy the last two months of her pregnancy without working!

Jen - Hi There! Hope your headache is gone! Thankfully I haven't had one in a week!!!

Mrs. Sarah - That does sound like a weird stretch! Hope you are feeling good today!

Trishagrrl - I am thinking of all of you and I hope you post soon.

Kristen - That is great that you can keep the same schedule. I bet Shawn will do fine. I am not sure what we are going to do. With Madison we changed our work hours and she didn't go to daycare until she was 9 months old. I am not sure that will happen this time around! I probably will be a zombie again, but at least this time we are flying and not driving - Thank goodness!

Kristen~your work schedule sounds almost like mine. I work 7 - 4 M-F, and DH works 12 hour shifts 6 - 6 (3 days one week, 4 days the next). The only difference is that for two weeks, he is on day shift and then two weeks on nights. Flip-flop between the two. I would love to find a flexible day care that I could leave the baby at when we are both working.

Wendy~I had the same night as you. Shower at 8:30, in bed around 9, asleep by 10. I just couldn't get moving. I have accepted that my energy comes in spurts. I try to make the most of those spurts and not worry about the rest.

Redjewel~do you live inland Spain or near the coast. I work at a chemical plant and got the chance to visit our sister plant in Benicarlo, Spain a few weeks ago. It was on the coast and beautiful.

FluffiB & Amy~I understand on the gas. I haven't quite disgusted DH, but I do get funny looks and have driven him (and myself) out of the room a few times .

Until Later

Hi Everyone.

It's HOT outside today. Going to the lake when Dan gets home!

We went to the doc's yesterday. I have a transverse babe. Hope she turns soon. I've been talking to her. Oh, and the doc says she's BIG! I am about the 78th percentile. (whatever that means) Anyone know??? She guessed her to be around 4 lbs. It's all good. They aren't doing the test for GD because nothing came up in my first blood test and nothing in any of the urine tests. She said it's best not to torture me with it. I get poked and nervous enough as it is. Lost more weight. In ten weeks my weight has only gone up once then right back down.

Anyone else want their regular clothes back? I was digging through mine to find a pair of shorts and I just wanted to put everything on. Most of the styles of maternity clothes aren't things I would normally wear and everything is sooo baggy. I am not used to that. Even at my heaviest I wore fitted clothes. Oh well 11 more weeks. I tried on the jeans I was wearing right after the "early preggo bloat" and they are baggier now than they were then. I am sooooooo taking those to the hospital with me for when I go home.

Oh regarding work. I quit back in January. I was so sick. I WISH I was working now. I am so bored some days.
