Good Morning!

Hi Kristen ~ Hope you had a good weekend!

Lauren~ Congrats on that BEAUTIFUL little girl!

Cyn~ Congratulations to you too!!!! I can't wait to see Alexia! Happy to hear things went quickly once they really got started!!!!

Went to the lake this past weekend - it was sooooo nice to get away even if it was only a couple of hours away. I think I did wear myself out just from trying to keep up with the girls. I relaxed "most" of the time - to me it was relaxing even chasing after the girls b/c it was something different. Mike took Erin out on the jetski and normally she would be scared to death but after the second time she went out with him I saw him doing turns and going superfast with her. She absolutely loved it - I think Mike really loved having someone to "play" with him LOL. I am happy to be home though -

Hope everyone else enjoyed the weekend!!!!

Hi Angela- It sounds like you guys had fun.

I changed the colors. I hope everything is ok in the post.

We got Jessica's room all painted yesterday. They wouldn't let me paint. I was agruging that the paint can said nothing about pregnant women not using it- because I read the whole back of the can and it didn't say anything. Then my husband points out that it says it on the lid of the can in Bold letters- OOPS!!- Didn't see that.

Good morning everyone!

GoJackets- I am so so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine the pain. It seems as though you are handling this well. You will be holding your first sweet little baby before you know it. Please check in and let us know how you are from time to time.

Kristen- glad you got your nursery all painted! Don't feel bad, my DH wouldn't let me either. Enjoy the helplessness! It won't last long. Lets see, I am not allowed to mow, clean ceiling fans, haul in heavy grocery bags, etc. I am way loving that!

Cynthia- CONGRATS!!! I knew you had that sweet baby! We wanna hear your birth story and can't wait to see pics! Hope everything went well!

Lauren- hope you're getting some rest!

Oh my goodness I am almost there! Can't believe how quickly we have all moved up the list! I was 1 cm dialated and 50% effaced last Wednesday, last night DH checked me and I was 2 cm dialated and 75% effaced. The baby was really low! I actually felt her head! I know, prolly TMI but really cool and I am excited. No way this baby will hold out until the 20th. I have an appt on Thursday this week and am still hoping she will strip the membranes. I know exactly when I got pg. Just because her measurements are a week behind I don't believe I should be moved. Katie is just going to be tiny.

Anyway- hope you all have a great day- I will BBL,

Tracy

Sorry I haven't checked in in a while. Been busy...

Mel and GoJackets - I am very sorry about your loss. You are both strong woman. You are in my prayers.

Congratulations to Cynthia and Lauren!! Hope you both check in soon!

Angela - I miss going jet skiing! Glad to hear you were able to relax somewhat. You mentioned in your previous post that you were getting false labor ctxs, with pain starting from the back to your thighs. That's what I've been getting. I thought these were Braxton Hicks... Did you get them when you went into PTL? I'm a bit worried since I've been cramping a little harder in the mornings, enough to wake me up.

Hi, Kristen!

Tracy - Wow, you're almost there! How cool that you were able to feel her head!!

Someone posted about a glass of red wine to stop Bh ctxs. It took me hours and hours to convince DH that I can have a 3oz glass in an hour with food... He finally let me have a glass this weekend when I was having BH ctxs 5-min apart. After a while, they did go away! I felt a bit guilty, and I won't make a habit of it.

Trish - I hope everything is going OK with you!

Congratulations Lauren and Cyn!

Mels and GoJackets, so sorry to hear of your losses. We lost a baby last Nov. It was so hard but we got pregnant again 6 weeks later with this one.

Hi to everyone else! We got home late last night. What a trip1 over 4500 kms driven in one week. Max is such a good traveler. I've got to unpack then I'll look at all the posts I missed.

Saludos,

Annabelle is born!!!

Hello everyone,

Just a quick message to let you all know that my beautiful baby was born on May 27th, at 4h55... She weights 7lbs 9, mesured at 20 ½ inches and is absolutely perfect. Anthony is always kissing his little sister.

I was induced on the 27th, the labor lasted 10 hours, which was good. But when I was ready to puch, around 2h15, the doctor was doing a surgery... She got in the room at 4h30!!!! I had to wait 2 hours when I was absolutely ready to push!!! That was the hardest part, but had her in only 3 pushes.... She is the most adorable baby ever!! I am very thankful for her, and I thank you all for your support when I felt I was going to be pregnant forever! I don't have a pic, well I do, on a email that my friend sent me, but is there a way I can use the pic to post it here????? I am not good with that. Anyways, she is crying so I,ll check in later today!!

Gen: Annabelle!!!! Congratulations!! I didn't even realize you were going to be induced on Friday! Can't wait to see her pics

Katie: I really miss jet skiing, water skiing too - it was hard watching everyone have a great time while I sat on the dock.... but I WILL be back out there in just a couple of more months As far as the BHs vs contractions - my bhs feel like my tummy goes into a tight knot (like a basketball) sometimes they take my breath but really don't "hurt" - when I know my true contractions my lower back begins to feel achy, I get uncomfy/irritable, then the pain/pulling starts from the back to the front underneath my tummy, and yes it radiates down the fronts of my thighs - oh, and they HURT, nothing too bad yet around a 4-5 on the pain scale. I have had them wake me at night too. Fortunately they are sporadic and I never have more than 4 an hour. I really didn't have any this past weekend (maybe a few) but last night they started up again. I don't know if its b/c I overdid things or was sitting too much.... who knows. Has the dr checked your cervix with your contractions?? I think I am going to ask mine to take a peek on Thursday - these are what I had with my PTL but closer together and in a pattern.

Tracy: Hope you get to see that little girl soon

Suzanne: Welcome Back! I know you have to be exhausted!!

Here is something I thought strange and forgot to bring it up - I never "dropped" with Maggie, which is normal for your 2nd baby, but I noticed (and so did my mom and Mike) that Michael has dropped lower... wonder if it has anything to do with these darned ctx, and isn't it a little soon (31wks)??? Wow the pressure down there now and I just THOUGHT I had to pee a lot before LOL.... any of you second+ moms experience this??

Hello Everyone -

Had a nice relaxing weekend! DH, DD and I played out in the backyard and soaked up some sun on Sunday. Yesterday we hit 102, so I wasn't much in the mood to sit outside So, DD and I went to Target instead! Bought a few outfits for the baby.

Today is DH's 40th B-day, so we are going to go out to dinner tonight with some friends. DD and I put a sign up and balloons taped to the table shaped in the #40!

Cyn - Congratulations on Alexia. Can't wait to hear your birth story and see pictures!

Genfire - Congrats on Annabelle! Not sure how to post pictures from an e-mail. I think you need to first save them to a free on-line photo album. Sorry you had to wait 2 hours for the dr.

Tracy - Doesn't sound like you are going to make it to the 20th! I think it is so cool that DH can tell how far along you are!! Hopefully they will help you out on Thursday and do the stripping!

FluffiB - Good to see you! Have been wondering how you are doing!!!! I don't think the little bit of red wine is bad. I have also heard about that as well, but never had BH's so never did drink during pregnancies. I am not that much of a drinker anyways!

Angelhope - Sounds like a fun weekend! Not sure about the dropping since I am only at 27 weeks. How is the BP?? You don't have much longer either!

Mrs. Sarah = Hi There!

Mels & GOJackets - Wanted to say again how sorry I am for your loss. for you and your family!

BabyBlue - Colors looks great! Too funny about not seeing the BIG words on the top of the can! I would have probably done the same thing! Glad Jessica's room is painted!

Thininmex - Wow, you did have a long trip!!!! Glad Max is a good traveler.

Trishagrrl - Hope you are doing well on bedrest! Please check in when you can!

Lauren - Hope you have been able to get a little rest! How was Mackenzie's night with Grandma! Happy Belated Anniversary to you and Dean!

Chat with you later!

Wendy

Suzanne - Welcome back!

Gen - CONGRATULATIONS!!

Mrs Sarah - Hi!

Angela - I did tell 3 drs (group practice, so I see about 5-6) about these BHs and cramping (or false ctxs). When they checked my cervix 3 weeks ago, it was fine. fFN was negative. I have another appt this Thur, so I'll bring it up again. I do have BHs where they don't hurt, and these are the regular ones. I also have cramping/pulling like the way you described that hurts, but I only get them mostly in the mornings, and only once or twice. Funny you mentioned, 3 weeks ago (29-30w), I thought I had UTI since I was peeing sooo many times with only trickles coming out. I'm thinking he's dropped because the highest I feel his kicks is around my belly button. Just last week, my belly all the sudden felt heavy one morning too. There's pressure sometimes, but not too much. I think his head is to my right by the pelvic bone - that's where I feel his hiccups all the time. His kicks are now more like stretches that hurt me sometimes. Hummm... Since this is my first, maybe he's in position already. My mom said all 3 of us were 1-2 weeks early, so maybe if I'm lucky, he'll come early (but not too early)!!

Hi, Wendy. Thanks for thinking about me! Wow, 102!! I would've died!!

Hey Ladies!

Congrats on the new little ones.

For those who have miscarried, did the doctor advise how long to wait? I have an appointment in a week and a half.

ThininMex, how long before you had your period after miscarriage? Your post has given me so much hope and I have read several instances where people got pregnant really soon. Keeping my fingers crossed.

It happened so fast yesterday. We have been greiving and I am able to talk about it now without crying. I think I am okay with the loss because it had to happen - don't know why, but it had to happen. What hurts are the circumstances....no Christmas baby now. I know I will get pregnant again.....but this time watch it be due in the middle of the summer!!! I'll take it! But we were so romancing the idea of the baby being here at the end of the year. Plus I have had to get used to the idea that I will be working indefinitely now. I was resolving myself to the idea that I would not be working in seven months....oh well.

I am aggravated with myself for getting too comfortable so early. My doctor told me everything looked great...that 8 week u/s was precious. The little heart was just going. So that is the hard part. I was sure things were fine. No indications I would lose the baby. Woke up and then in a matter of hours - gone. I was in the emergency room less than an hour. Thank God. I am proud that once the baby decided it wasn't the right time, that my body took care of it so quickly. I will always be grateful for that.

As I mentioned, now I hurt for my family who has suffered from the loss too.

But this was practice. Next time will hopefully be better, not sure how happy I will be for some time, but maybe that is a good thing - caution.

I never thought I would be a statistic, so we've been reminded not to take things for granted.

Maybe in a few weeks you can put me on the bottom of the list for TTC!!

Hi guys-

Gen- Congrats on Annabelle- I love the name. I hope you can figure out how to post a picture.

Tracy- We still have to paint the nursery- We just painted Jessica's room. We are waiting to see what we are having before choicing what to paint the nursery.

Suzanne- Welcome home. Hope all is well.

Katie- I really don't think there is anything wrong with an occ glass of red wine to help with BH. I am not much of a drinker either.

Ang- Sorry no help with the dropping.

Wendy- How can you handle the heat- UGH!

Sarah- HI- hope you meeting isn't too boring.

GoJackets- I never had a miscarriage- but my good friend had one and I think the doctor advised her to wait around 4-6 weeks before she tired agian. My cousin just had a baby last month had a miscarriage about 3 months before she became pregnant with this one. Good luck and I hope we do see your name back on the list soon!!!!!

Kristen

Katie: yep thats what I am feeling too. At least you haven't dilated yet and the ffn test came back negative! I am going to have to get my dr to see if anything is going on with me - I am hoping that these contractions just go away for both of us and let us RELAX!!! Today my back is hurting awful from the ctx last night. Did the wine help?

Jackets: You should have been comfortable at 8wks and seeing the heartbeat so please don't be aggarvated with yourself. Your outlook on this truely is uplifting and reminds me to do just as you say and not take things for granted! I am such a true believer in everything has its time and place!! I know God gave you an Angel for a reason - He will bless you again! Let us know when you will feel comfortable adding your name back on the list

WOW! Congrats to Cyn and Gen! to your lil ones!!!

I went thru the 4 hour test this am, not as bad as I envisioned.

I did puke the last 10 minutes of the test, my system just cannot handle that much bile
But I was bad and did not tell them, it was 5 minutes after that ,when they took my last blood, I figured close enough to call it good. KWIM?

Suprisingly enough I was not starving after the 4 hours, but super nauseated. I tell you an apple and a small bag of chips does nothing for it.

Good morning everybody,

A day off-- yeah!! I'll spent a good chunk of time waiting for furniture to be delivered. This weekend we purchased a leather lazy-boy reclining chair. It is really for me, since I've been having trouble getting comfortable in bed or on the couch and I think it will be fabulous for nursing the baby. It rocks as well as reclines in about ten different positions. We spent Sunday trying to rearrange the house so we had a place to put the chair!! DH and I really need a bigger house.

Baby has been kicking and wriggling non-stop since Sunday. How am I supposed to get any sleep?! I'm not really complaining- I love it. DH felt her kick for the first time on Friday and it was so amazing. Now he'll put his hand or his face on my belly and talk to her. Did I mention how much I love being pregnant?!

Congratulations Cyn and Gen!! So happy for you guys! Geni, which hospital was she born in? My friend is a nurse at the Civic hopital. I grew up in Ottawa.

GoJackets, I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain. You sound so strong and rational. I am so impressed with how well you are dealing with this. I read your posts yesterday and was so moved!

People on the board might remember that I started bleeding much the same as you did at about eleven or twelve weeks along. I was passing clots, then a lot of brownish blood, enough to fill a maxi-pad. Then I was cramping terribly. And, it lasted for two weeks and I was so frightened. But it all worked out and they still don't know why it happened. I read your story and realized just how lucky I actually was!!

Wendy, have fun with the birthday celebrations!! Isn't it fun being married to a Gemini!! If the chair is delivered early enough, I might got buy DH's birthday BBQ today. I'll need to recruit somebody to help me carry it home and hide it though. Smart of you to go to Target during the heat!! I'm sure this summer I'll be living at the mall when it gets hot. The mall and the grocery store. Very few people here have central air-conditioning. It rarely gets too hot, but on those rare occasions it becomes unbearable. Weathermen seem to be calling for a long hot summer here. Oh joy!! You said your baby was measuring one third of a pound at twenty-two weeks? I really hope I don't have a twelve pound baby... hopefully she just hit an early growth spurt or else I'm a few weeks off with my due date!!

Glad you had fun at the lake Angela. It is nice just getting out into the fresh air and watching other people.

Good to see you fluffi!! Don't panic about the red wine. I've been having about have a glass once a week, but the midwife said I could have more. I didn't drink much before I got pregnant, so I figured I wouldn't drink much now. I'm still not sure if I'm haveing BH cntrx or not. When I stand for too long at work my stomach knots up for about five seconds and I get this stretching pain under my belly. Then it feels like somebody is doing up a belt around my waist really tightly before I finally relax. This has been happening about three times an hour, when I'm standing at work. I'm perfectly fine if I'm sitting down.

Welcome home Suzanne!! That sure is a lot of driving!! Hopefully your car is airconditioned! Good for Max on the car trip. How did the little girl (probably) do on all the bumpy roads?

Mels, you and your family are in my thoughts. I hope you guys made it through the weekend and are coping through everything.

Hi Sarah, hope your work day is going well. How is the morning sickness and the nose-bleeds?

Happy belated birthday Kristen! Thanks for starting the post this morning. I guess as people progress in their pregnancy, different moms will have to start the post. I'm a west-coaster, so I'm always in here later.

Everybody have a great Tuesday!!

My doctor just called. She was on vacation when this happened. Her partner saw me.

She is awesome. She was so surprised and sorry. She had a miscarriage and told me without 100% of a doubt was it anything I did. She said when she had her miscarriage, it was unplanned and she was frustrated and afraid she wished the miscarriage on herself. She said that wasn't the case at all, and I shouldn't feel that way either. She said there is nothing anyone can say to feel better. She said a friend of hers bought her a Christmas ornament in memory of the baby and she still cries when she takes it out and puts it on the tree.

It's comforting having a doctor that really understands. She said her perspective changed once she experienced it for herself. And she said I will probably be very scared all nine months with the next one.

She said since I was a little further along to hold off on activities including intercourse until she sees me. She said we could do a pregnancy test and if the hormone levels are low enough, she would release me to try and conceive again.

CONGRATS TO Genifire, PFgal & Cyn!!!

Angela: I never dropped with Kelsey or Charlotte but Jack was low the whole time and way down on my cervix at least the last four weeks. It was horrible. Also - as you know - my labor was totally different (longer!) Maybe a boy thing?

Tracy: Sounds like you are next!!!! Yay!!!

Gojackets: I am so sorry for your loss. I had two miscarriages in a row and was really bummed. But three months after the second I was pregnant again with Charlotte and she was a keeper. They say to wait a few months but I don't think that's necessary.

MelS: Again, so sorry for your loss. What a shame you couldn't get a D&C, that seems like it would have been easier on you.

On a lighter note, I weighed 144.6 the other day! My low before getting pregnant was 141 so I am almost there. My eventual goal is 130 but who knows how long that will take. It's coming off slow now - like a lb every two weeks or so but that's fine with me as I'm still breastfeeding and don't want to mess with his milk. I know I will have to quit nursing for sure by 8 months so I'm just going to try to eat a bit lower carb than "normal" eating until then and not worry about it too much.

Nicole ~ The chair sounds SUPER comfy Aren't DHs mush when it comes to their babies Mike talks in my belly button all the time - he acts so silly sometimes.

Chris ~ Happy your 4hr is over!! Everytime I had to take the 3hr (even not pregnant) it would make me sick with a headache. I passed my 1hr for some reason this time LOL.... don't know how and don't care! I just ran with it Hope yours comes back ok!

Jackets ~ What a WONDERFUL dr you have!!! It helps so much to find a dr that will talk with you and listen! Praying for an early release to TTC!!!!

Tiger ~ Good to see you! Maybe our boys are out to cause us problems from the start I dropped with Erin - didn't with Maggie so I assumed I wouldn't with this one..... like all I need is MORE pain LOL - I figured the dropping could be one of the reasons I am having the ctx (due to pressure), but then again the ctx could have caused the dropping - I guess at this point its which came first the chicken or the egg I don't really care as long as he stays in there a few more weeks

Okay... back from my meeting... now onto my post!

My weekend was good. We stayed pretty busy and got lots of stuff done. I have been having a lot of sciatic pain in my right butt cheek/thigh. Those things hurt! It surprises
