Nicole: I have problems also finding larger bras. I was a D to begin with so during pregnancy these things get a little embarrassing
I think Trish had a name of a great place in Chicago that also has a store online. I can find larger bras here in Atlanta at the department stores but what I hate is - they are soooooooo UGLY and functional. SIGH..... I have always wanted to wear something lacey and colorful that doesn't say "minimizer" on it LOLJackets: I am hoping you feel better this morning Kristen: When do you go in for your 20wk u/s? Are you finding out the gender? Lauren & Cyn: Thinking and praying for you girls! |

Way too much time on my hands!
|
I am much better! But it got nasty last night.....I was shooting daggers when I finally decided to go home. I told DH I was much happier before I got pregnant and I was so confused because I thought this was supposed to be the greatest moment of my life. I have high expectations. DH and I had a long talk and I did my best to resolve the issues with our high maintenance friends and hopefully people will understand. I still want them to leave me alone!
It's funny because I am a little sick today and there is some nagging feeling in my abdomen and guess what? I'm happy about it! I feel pregnant finally! I hope I don't stay sick....but it's nice to feel pregnant! I think this is how it might feel. Prayers to MELS!!!! I can't get her and her family off my mind. I really wish them the very best and wanted to thank her again for the special way she shared her story!

Mels- my heart breaks for you. I know how bad you and your husband wanted this baby and I cannot imagine the heart wrenching pain you both must be feeling.
Take time to heal and feel the way you need to feel for as long as you need to feel that way. My prayers are with you and your family at this time of loss. Tracy |

GoJackets- I am glad you are feeling better today. My grandfather is doing better- he has bronchitis. That make me feel so much better- I really didn't want him to have the congestive heart failure- which is horrible. He might be able to come home tomorrow. The good thing is that my Mom works at the hospital so she is able to check in on him on her breaks and lunch time. They had a big cookie for me at work today for my bday- It was so good so I am on a sugar high!!! YUM! Lauren and Cyn- Hope you guys are holding your babies today! Kristen

Tracy: M/S is gone for the most part, but still shows up occasionally. It's getting better though. Now, if I could just get that energy boost, I'd be good to go!

Hi Everyone -
I was so tired and had such a bad headache that I headed to bed at 7:45pm. With DH gone, I had to put DD to bed a little earlier than normal but no complaints from her! She normally goes to bed around 8:30 so 45 minutes isn't that much! I can't believe how bad I felt last night! Feeling a little better today! Thank goodness it is a long weekend, and actually kind of glad my family isn't coming considering how I feel too! MelS - Thinking of you and your family! LizzyD - Can't wait to hear what the doctor has to say after she "Thinks about it"! Great convo between the two of you! Lauren & Cynthia - I hope you are both holding your precious little girls! Aphexacid - Hope you are having a good day today! Dena - Glad you and DH talked about your friends last night! Hope you have a better day today! Angel - Hi There! How are you feeling today! BP good??? Tracy - You are getting so close! How is the swelling?? Is it better since you are only working 1/2 days?? Mrs. Sarah - Glad to hear the M/S is gone! Did you and DH talk about the AFP Test??? Trishagrrl - How are you feeling today! Hope it was a better morning for you!!!! Teach2Live - Hi There! Babyblue - Glad to hear your Grandpa is doing better!!!! Wendy |

Hi All,
Mels - still thinking about you. Did you and your dh make it through the night ok? How are your little boys doing? Lauren and Cyn - I miss you guys!! Hope yo are well! Nicole and Angelhope - try this online bra shop for big cup sizes: http://www.crepe-suzette.com/Merchan...egory_Code=BCB Also, Angelhope, I found out yesterday from my amnio results that we're having a (healthy) boy! How do I get that on the big list above? And where is your photoalbum? Did I miss your post about it? Mrs. Sarah - My energy boost is here some days and not on others. Really inconsistent. Then again, perhaps I would have it more consistently if my other two kids didn't wear me down to a nub every day so effectively Kristen - glad to hear that your grandfather seems to be improving. Jackets - I've found with each succeeding addition to my family, my social circle has shrunk by certain members and grown by others. Those who can't take no contact for a few weeks or even months at a time and can't just pick right up happily where we left off get dropped. Sounds harsh, but I have more important priorities now than trying to keep people happy who can't understand my needs too. My time and emotional energy are too precious. I'd rather save them for my kids and dh. Rainy day here. Broke the news this morning to my two little boys (4 yo and 5 yo) that they are going to have a baby brother around Halloween. Then the older said "yeah, well, whatever you do, don't go having sex around me!" I refrained from filling him in on the fact that the necessary deed was over and done with long ago. I think he thinks the sex has to happen continuously until the baby is born (come to think of it, that would be the typical male hope/assumption, wouldn't it?). DH says this is a monster I created by being forthright (age appropriate of course) when my older one asked where babies come from and how they get born. My MIL and FIL are visiting this weekend and I can pretty much count on at least one announcement from the 5yo that dh and I had sex because now we're having a baby. Oh well, nothing they didn't already know, right? Hope you are all well. Take care. LizzyD

The other day Madison and I were watching Splash and she loved it. Not only does she love Mermaids, but she had the same name. So. we are sitting at the table and talking about her taking a bath and she says to me "Mommy can you put salt in my bath so I can turn into a Mermaid"! I just about died laughing so hard! Of course, had to explain everything but it was just too cute!

Wendy: I did talk to DH about the test. I guess we're getting the AFP and the triple screen. I told him my concerns and the things that you guys had said. We decided that I would call my insurance company and make sure it's covered and if it is, we'll go ahead and do it.
Lizzy: OMG!! I burst out laughing at your kids' comments!! Tracy: I'm sorry that you are dealing with swelling. That sucks... but fortunately, it will be over SOON! |

Jackets: If your friends are stressing you out that much you really do need to keep your distance - stress is NOT a good thing!! Thanks for the compliment on my family
I am partial to them, except today I could probably give Maggie away - she is sooooooo whiney about everything. I can't handle whiney. Glad you could get past the little cheerleader outfit I just know you would hyperventaliate in the UGA nursery Sarah: See I am PROOF you can teach old dogs new tricks Just wish I could have been more creative with the colors LOLKristen: Oh goody the u/s is coming up Can't wait to hear what you are having!! Enjoy your birthday weekend Wendy: Wish your headaches would go away!!! It is sooooo hard functioning with them - when do you see the dr next about them? My bps are all over the place Tracy: Ahhhh those wonderful pelvic pressure pains - geez I am even getting them when I stand up anymore. OUCH! At least you time is NEAR My only issue for the last few days are these darned false contractions - they are driving me NUTS. I have several during the day (approx 2 an hr) but at night when I sit down in a recliner to watch tv they REALLY start. Last night I was having one every 15minutes so I went and took a long hot shower.... seemed to help but I still got several during the night that woke me up. I might have to call today, they have subsided again (back to 2 an hr). I am going to waterlog myself today and see if that helps - maybe with it getting hot outside I just don't realize I need more water. I know they are the false contractions though and not the BHs - thats concerning. They start in my lower back work around to my low tummy and front thighs... and I naturally start my labor breathing.... AND talk about making me irritable LOL From what I remember water, rest and warm showers will help - do you all know anything else? |

Lizzy: Geez I meant to add that this morning - I can't edit the post anymore so hopefully I or whoever starts the thread on Monday/Tuesday will remember
Your boys are so funny!! Reminds me of Erin at the dr's office this past week. My mom went with me to the BPP and was sitting in the waiting room with the girls and she said out of nowhere Erin started saying that her Mama has to pee in a cup and she has to do it like THIS Mom said she stood up and squatted a little and put her hand between her legs...... OMG I am glad I wasn't out there!!! Things that stick in their little minds and come out their little mouths!! Mom said everyone started laughing....Wendy: ooooh Erin would probably want to turn into a mermaid too LOL Guess you might have her halloween costume decided ![]() |

LizzyD - LOL with your little one's comment!
Mrs. Sarah - Glad you and DH talked about the test. We had all the tests done. Angel - I was supposed to go the the Dr this morning, but the appt was cancelled. I go on Tuesday instead! I am definitely going to talk to her about this, but I know there isn't much that can be done! Baby - I didn't get headaches like this! With Madison I had them in the 1st trimester, but nothing after that! Have fun with your cousin!!!! I also wanted to wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY just in case you aren't on-line tomorrow!!! Angel - Sorry about having the contractions. Could it be from not drinking enough? I know that if you are dehydrated it can cause contractions. If they get worse are you going to call the dr??? Take care! Sorry Maggie is whiney today! That is one thing that drives me bonkers with Madison! Wendy |

Angel - She has an Ariel dress, but knowing my daughter she would want a real Mermaid Outfit. I can honestly tell you I don't have the craftiness to make it. It would probably turn out looking like Godzilla if I tried!

Dear Angela,
My midwives were adamant about 2nd and especially 3rd trimester expetant moms relaxing in the evening by putting your feet up, listening to music or something that makes you laugh, and having a (gasp) glass of wine. They said it helps to relieve stress, brings the blood pressure down (because it's a vasodialator) and can stop contractions in their tracks (with way fewer side effects than the stuff they give you in the hospital for PTL). Also might help you sleep a little better. I know there's a pretty strong opinion out there that there should be zero alcohol during pregnancy, but in some countries (Great Britain for one) some ob's actually prescribe a glass of wine every night, especially in the third trimester. I plan to take full advantage of the opportunity to imbibe one glass every now and then, especially once I get to the 3rd trimester. Anyway, hope your contractions stop. LizzyD |

Just checking in to see if Lauren and Cyn's babies came yet!
Mels: So sorry for your loss, I've lost two babies and it sucks. I stepped on the scale today and was 144.8 but I'm claiming the 144! That is only 3.5 lbs away from my POST Atkins weight so I'm pretty darn happy. A few more pounds and I will be skinnier than I've been in about five years. I'm really not doing anything special just trying not to eat too many carbs a day like I did when I was pregnant but I probably have 100 or so a day...and most days I even have a small expresso brownie from Starbucks as my "treat" (not every day though). I am breastfeeding exclusively though and I know that is helping. Jack was 14 lbs when he was weighed 2 weeks ago! Geez, I think I have a pound or two in my boobs alone. I used to be a C now I'm pushing a DD. My tummy is still rounded at the bottom and I had actually gotten it flat before I got pregnant but I'm not surprised because my tummy got really stretched out this time around - I was huge. Tigerlily

Hi Tigerlily!! I'm so happy to see you!!
Great job on the weight loss!!! Well, I called my insurance company and it looks like the do cover it. My doctor's office says that it's called a quad-screen... I'll have to re-read my brochure when I get home to see what all it really scans for. So, with that, we will probably get it done, but I sure hope I don't get a false positive. |
