Good Morning Ladies,

I got interupted yesterday when I was in the middle of writing my post in because we had to go to my doctors apt.

The apt. went ok. I didn't get to see my doc because she was off delivering babies so I saw the nurse practicioner. I like her alot, but there were several questions she really couldn't ask... like what if I were to go back into the hospital in the next week or two, would we stop labor then? I just would kinda like to know what to expect, if I'll be delivering or be hooked up to the IV's again.

My BP was high high 130/90 The nurse practicioner was really worried about this. She says no more going downstairs or doing anything more than absolutely necessary out of bed unless coming in for my doctors apt. Thank goodness I have to go in twice a week!

Angela: I don't even understand how you do bedrest with two toddlers? Are you on strict bedrest? My doctor doesn't want me doing ANYTHING except laying in bed and going to the bathroom! How do you keep track of your girls?

Stacy and Sin: I'm loving the pics you posted yesterday! I can't wait to have pics of my lil boy... well, I can wait and do want to wait at least 2 more weeks!

Cyn: Thank you so much for your prayers and concern I really appreciate it. I know there are lots of prayers gooing up for this little guy, I can't tell you how many people I've talked to who have said they or they and their churches are praying for me. Its really wonderful to know that! I'll that you have a May baby!

Kristen: Glad to hear you are feeling better! Jason's bday is Sunday and I'm bummed we can't do anything fun . I actually might call some of his guys friends and see if they'll take him out for a beer and wings on the Tuesday after his birthday. He so very rarely goes out with the guys, I thought it would be fun for him.

GoJackets: You'll catch on don't worry! I felt like I was completely lost at first too, but learned alot from this board, my baby email updates, and doing reading. I think my husband felt Bradley move for the first time around 22ish weeks.

Morning Guys,

Well I've started having the baby dreams. I had this dream last night that wouldn't end, I kept trying to breastfeed my baby every which way and he wouldn't latch on. By the end of the dream it had been 3 days and he hadn't eaten a drop and then I realized I hadn't changed his diaper since he'd been home from the hospital and I started worrying that he was dehydrated. AAGH!!!!

Someone asked when the men could first feel baby move and I'm with Trish....about 22 weeks or so. I was so impatient for that moment!

Pfgal--Two more days max! I bet you're looking forward to your appt. this afternoon. C'mon baby!

Lowcarbinmama--That bikini is precious! And your hair looks great...did you get it lightened? That will be one of the first things I do post-baby, for now I'm letting my roots grow out.

Sinnrah--She is just a little doll.

kristen--Happy almost birthday! Bummer that your DH works but you can do something once he gets off work, right?

Trish--Maybe you can call back and speak with the doc? Those are some pretty important questions!

Thanks ladies..she is a little ham already.

She has learned to drool..so she hold milk in her mouth and spits it on me. It is so much fun...

She only does it to me too..not her daddy...lol. I think she gets a kick out of it..who knows.

Trolly: I should see my doctor tomorrow (if she isn't delivering babies) and plan to talk to ask her my questions then. I have some pretty odd dreams sometimes too! Haven't had any lately though... I thought I'd have more the closer I got to the end of the pregnancy.

Sin: That is too funny... she already is a prankster!

Good morning. Yesterday was so busy with work stuff that I never got in here at all. Today will hopefully be calmer and more low key.

Baby is moving like crazy these days. Sometimes when I'm teaching he kicks me so hard and so much that it's distracting. He also likes to kick at the steering wheel on the car while I'm driving!! Pretty funny. My dr. was FINALLY able to hear the heartbeat on the doppler at my appt. on Monday. I'm only 23 weeks.

Trisha, high blood pressure is a serious problem in late pg! Keep resting and relaxing and hopefully you'll get closer to term.

Hi Everyone -

Finally had a good night sleep last night. Funny that I did considering DH is out of town. Could it be that the room was quiet and no one was snoring

My SIL's sister had her baby last night at 10:14pm. She had a little Boy, 7lbs. 5oz and 19 1/2inches. She was not due until June 12th, but he was ready to come out early! Her DH already sent everyone pictures and he is absolutely adorable. They named him Ryan.

Still having my headaches, so when I see the doctor on Friday I am going to talk to her about it. Not sure there is anything that I can do for it, but at least I can ask!

PFGal - Two more days and you will be holding your precious little Kendall!

Babyblue - Bummer that DH is working on Saturday! Are you and Jessica going to do something together that day instead??

Trishagrrl - Hope you can see your Dr. tomorrow and get your questions answered. Sorry you BP was high.

Trolly - Hi There! Sometimes I have weird dreams as well.

Sinnrah - Emily is adorable! I love that picture.

Teach - My little one is so active too! Hope you have a calmer day today!

Wendy

Hey Ladies!!!!!!!

I hope all is well with all the mommies to be and those trying.,..

As for me...my contractions have started to get a little stronger today....DH is at school now so I'm all by myself trying to think of a game plan if something was to happen. My feet and hands are so swollen it is ridiculous...doc said it was normal but I can't fit any shoes that aren't flip flop type sandals. Good thing the weather is great!!!!!

Lauren- NOT MUCH LONGER.....Let us know how the appt goes to get the gel to ripen your cervix.

Sinn- ONE WORD.....ANGEL!!!!!!!!!!! She is precious.....

Wendy- the headaches are a part of pregnancy. I had them and my doc said I could take Tylenol so I took it when they were really bad but other times I just tried to endure them. I hope they get better for you.

Trish- Oh I hope I have a May baby too...you know usually doctors stop labor until you reach 36 weeks just because they want to make sure the lungs are developed but who knows....I know bed rest is so boring but I've been on and off throughout this whole pregnancy so I've learned to adapt to it....Get some great books, crosswords, journals or something....I think I've read the Purpose Driven Life 3 times during this pregnancy but each time I grow as a person, wife, and mother...

Teach- that's so funny...I can remember Alexia always kicking me in my ribs while I was driving and she almost caused alot of accidents......LOL

Kristen- maybe you and DH can do something on Sunday...or can you eat lunch with him while he is at work? Enjoy your day anyways if I don't chat w/ you before then....

Trolly- those darn baby dreams are so funny...I still have them from time to time. Mostly I have them about labor now.... .

Angel- HELLO!!! Thinking of you!!

Tracy- I'm thinking of you too...I would love to know if the Primose Oil is working for you. I'm taking mine orally but I've heard of others who inserted it vaginally. I was too afraid of infections though...

Well ladies....I'm off to go shower again...does anyone else take warm showers to get rid of back pain? I take like 3 showers a day because the water feels so good....

God bless you all!

Cynthia

Hi Ladies,

Lauren, you still haven't had that baby yet!?!

Cyn?

We are in Tampico, should cross the border into TX in a couple of hours. So far it has been an uneventful trip. Max fell out of the bed the first night so now he will only sleep on the floor. He's so used to his hammock that it's hard for him to get to sleep.

I have been having lots of BH contax, probably from the bumpy roads. The rest of the trip should be pretty smooth going, until we turn around and start back.

Hope to hear there are some new babies when I check in again.

Saludos,

Suzanne

Trish- I hope you get to see the doctor tomorrow and get your questions answered.

Tif- I can't believe that little Emily is already 6 weeks old- The time is really flying.

Ellen- I am so glad you finally got to hear the baby. That is the worst when you are trying so hard to hear it and then you don't!

Wendy- CONGRATS on your Nephew. How sweet. This is Shawn's long weekend to work. He works nights 7:00pm to 7:00am- so he will not be doing anything this weekend. I have to go to a family picnic Saturday and my mom is going to bring a cake for my bday.

Cyn- for you to have a May baby- I think you will!!!

OK- I have to get back to work- Might check in later-

Good afternoon!

Kristen - Happy early birthday! Sorry your DH has to work...

Trish - Hang in there!

Trolly - I have vivid dreams too. Because I'm such a worry-freak, I'm sure that's all I dream about. I don't remember most of it though.

Tiffany - Emily is sooo cute! That's funny about spitting on you! Maybe DH taught it to her.

Teach - Congrats on finally hearing the HB. My boy is pretty active, but it only hurts me occasionally, thank God.

Wendy - Congrats to your SIL! Sorry about your headache. I used to get them frequently, but they subsided.

Cynthia - You're almost there!!! I love showers too. I think about taking baths to ease some of the pain, but my tub needs cleaning, so I haven't yet...

Lauren - How are your ctxs today? 2 more days!!

Suzanne - Ouch! Poor Max!! I hate BH ctxs when in the car, too, especially if you have to pee!!

I found this regarding breastfeeding and low-carbing.
http://www.lalecheleague.org/FAQ/lowcarb.html

I'll just do strict maintenance (not like the loose one I'm doing now), but also do less saturated fat since I'm sure calories would come into big play.

Okay....I warned you ladies I would be full of silly questions....here is today's:

When you are constipated and trying to use the restroom.....is there such a thing as "pushing" too hard when trying to "go"? Does it really even matter?

I'm embarassed to ask, but this isn't in any of my books.

Don't be embarassed to ask us! I don't have an answer for you- I think I heard if you push to hard to go to the bathroom it causes hemoriods- But I do not know if that is true-

Maybe you should call your doctor and ask if you can take anything to help with the constipation.

I know my doctor told me not to push too hard because of hemrroids. I ended up getting them when I delivered. But I was also given a list of things I can take to help w/ constipation and other illnesses.

Try Peri Colase(stool softener) Or milk of magnesia. I lived on that stuff while pregnant.

So pushing too hard won't harm the baby at all? I know it is sometimes painful and I was afraid if I pushed too hard something might separate or whatever!? I have quite the imagination.....but I guess if it was possible, there would be warnings in all the books. Isn't paranoia wonderful?

Hi everyone! Michael passed the u/s part of the bio-physical profile with flying colors (at least from the tech's viewpoint)!! I feel like a huge weight is lifted off my shoulders. He is measuring and weighing in the 75% range (3lbs 13oz at 30wks) which is typical for my large babies. The placenta has not begun aging yet and that was wonderful news! I will have to have another bpp done in a couple of weeks but I am taking this good news and running right now..... I really didn't realize how anxious and stressed I was until after it was over

Michael's heartbeat is 136 and holds true to the oldwive's tale - my girls were always 160+. AND she verified that he is still without a doubt a BOY LOL.... I think we all have that fear the u/s will be wrong.

Kristen: Glad you got some sleep last night!! You have another busy busy weekend planned!!! I don't know how you do it you energizer bunny! Happy Early Birthday to you

Trish: Have they done the FFN test on you? I know when I had PTL with Maggie they kept me on brethnine until 36wks. Since they went ahead with the steriod shots they will probably do an amnio if you go into PTL again to check Brad's lung development and make a decision based on that - of course I am GUESSING LOL.... I am not on strict br yet only modified. So I have to rest around 3hrs in the morning, 3hrs in the afternoon but can get up to do breakfasts, lunches and other non-exerting activities. Strict br is HARD... had it with Erin and Maggie. I was lucky when I was pregnant with Maggie b/c my mom was able to come over or take Erin with her. You keep resting!!!

trolly: I have never had the baby dreams but I have had some extremely vivid, detailed, realistic dreams of Mike cheating on me LOL.... I feel so bad b/c I end up REALLY mad at him all day long and start questioning him - poor guy. What's funny is that he is the last person on this earth that would ever do that. Pregnancy dreams are the worst!

Sin: Emily is just cute as a button. I love that frilly little bonnet!

Ellen: My little tatertot is a mover and puncher too! Glad they picked up the hb on the doppler!

Wendy: Hope those headaches go away or at least the dr can give you something for them!!

Cyn: Praying those contractions keep progressing for you! Thank you so much for your prayers and thoughts - they mean so much to me I have also been taking warm showers and bathes FREQUENTLY with these false labor contrax going on... it is sooooo soothing!

Suzanne: Stay safe traveling!!

Hi Katie and Sarah!!

Jackets: You question made me LOL.... do you know it was a question my dh asked at one of our first dr appts with Erin??!!! I was soooo embarrassed He really thought I could push the baby out accidentally or pop my water. I can see where he was coming from but GEEZ give me some notice that you are going to ask a question like that. To answer you - no it doesn't hurt the baby in anyway but as everyone else has stated don't strain or bare down too hard b/c of causing roids.... ouch!

Ang- That's wonderful!! I am glad you are releaved.

This baby heartbeat is averaging around 136 also - So when I have my u/s next month I will be interested in finding out if it is a boy.

Hello Ladies!

I was a bawling baby today after the dr apt. I missed passing the glucose test by 3 points, so the 1st I get to do the 4 hour damn test. And it seems my anemia is getting worse instead of better, so now I will take the iron 2x a day (FINE!)
Then my poor Ernest tries to make me feel better and all I could do is cry some more. Poor guy.

Ernes´sister sent 4 bags of clothes to us, I finally went thru them. Man what a load! She is such a sweety for giving us all those clothes. We won´t have to buy a thing for at least 6 months!
And she gave us a bouncy seat you hang in the doorway. Very nice!

Sorry I have no been participating with the daily convo. I feel guilty and bad for not, I just never seem to have anything of value to say. But I do follow the threads.

Hugs to all

Angela: Wonderful news!!!

GoJackets: I think the straining thing has to do with hemorroids as well, but I don't really know for sure. I try not to strain too hard anyway just in case. Get a fiber supplement or start eating more veggies and whole grains.
