Oh my, Lauren - you're up super early!

Cynthia - My in-laws live just outside of Toledo. Not much there at all...

How are both of your contractions today? We're all getting anxious (needless to sayl, I'm sure you guys are, too!)

Morning ladies- I haven't checked in in a few days, but have been reading! Cynthia and Lauren you are both right there! I can't wait to see pics and hear your stories!

Tomorrow is the appt for me where they are supposed to strip the membranes If I have progressed enough. Then I am going home, taking castrol oil, walking 5 miles and having sex all night OK, maybe not. The whole castrol oil and walking then getting intimate thing doesn't sound appealing!

Anyway- good luck! I am so excited for you! Cynthia- any progress??

Will check back in later!

Good Morning Ladies,

Thank you thank you thank you for all of your prayers! I know I have alot of people praying for me and I appreicate them all

Sorry for not checking in yesterday, didn't mean to scare anyone. I'm still at home in my bed with my laptop. Amazingly, I'm staying quite busy. My boss is letting me work from home. So between work, and phone calls, and visitors, and chatting with my mother in law the day seemed to fly by.

I'm so blessed that she was able to leave work and fly up here this weekend because the doctor said unless someone was here with me all the time that she wouldn't discharge me from the hospital. She really doesn't want me doiong anything at all.

Its funny... I have a doctors apt. this afternoon and I'm so excited for it, just to get out of the house! I'm really not a homebody at all. She is running Riley, our dog, into the groomers right now and when she gets back she'll help me pack my bag. We decided it would be best to keep it in the car in case the doctor ends up sending me to the hospital again like she did last time I was there. Then at least I can have a few of my things with me!

Lauren: Anymore contractions??! You want some of mine?

Cyn: How are you doing? I hope that baby comes soon so you can be more comfy. You can have some of my contractions too

Tracy: How exciting that they will strip your membranes... hopefully that will get things moving along.

So I think I already know the answer to this question, but sex at this point for me is pretty much out of the question right? I know my doc said she didn't want to do any more exams than necessary because she didn't want to unintentionally strip the membranes, break my water, introduce infection, etc.

You know something about this whole situation that is really a bummer to me... I am missing my breast feeding classes and 4 of my 5 childbirth/lamaze classes. Does anyone know of any good websites particularly for the Lamaze classes that would give my husband and I some good info?

I really wanted to attend those classes this being our first and to help us know what to expect and everything. Even though I really want the epidural. One of my biggest fears tho is that I'll get to the hospital and be too dialated and they won't want to give me the epidural! That would be AWFUL!

Brat

Trish- good luck at your appt. As for sex, since you are high risk, I defientely wouldn't attempt that just now. The risks could be pretty high. And Lamaze classes never entered my mind. I want drugs!! I plan on getting to the hospital before I get too far along. I would hate to have to throw someone from the 5th floor of the hospital

Cynthia and Lauren- have you taken Primose Oil or Raspberry tea leaf capsules? I will know tomorrow if it's working for me.

Bummer! Thats kinda what I thought... if this boy is able to hold out till close to his due date I'll be going through major sex withdraw! And you can't have sex for like 6 weeks after you have the baby too right?! YIKES!

Well... I deffinately want the drugs too, I'd be afraid of doing something rash like throwing someone out of the hospital as well!
Being that I'm close to 3 cm. dialated already and a 45 minute drive to the hospital I'm just freaked out that I'll be too dialated to get the epidural by the time I get to the hospital!

Hi Everyone -

Just got into work after dropping DH off at the Aiport. He will be in Chicago until Saturday morning. Thankfully this will be one of his last trips for awhile!

I get to go back to the airport later this morning to pick-up DH's sister and go to lunch with her. She is in town for the CMA's. She works for Dr. Pepper and gets to go every year. She tried to see if there were any extra tickets this year, but everyone and their brother come to the awards now that they are in Vegas.

DD and I are going out to dinner with friend of mine tonight. Most likely we will end up at Applebees or something close to it.

Lauren - Sorry your contractions have subsided, but thankfully your Dr. is inducing on Friday! Less than 3 days to go - WOOHOO!!!

FluffiB - Hi There! I feel the same way about DH's family. We both say how lucky we are with our in-laws. We both love each others family and get along so well. His mom and dad treat me just like a daughter. His mom will call me every night this week to check and see how I am doing since DH is out of town!

Tracy - WooHoo on having the membranes stripped tomorrow! Good luck with that and I hope it brings labor early for you!

Trisha - Great that you can still work at home. Thank goodness your MIL could come out and stay with you, what a blessing! Sorry about the NO SEX!!! Take care of yourself!!! Thinking of you!

Wendi- have fun tonight! My inlaws are like yours. We all get along great, it's so nice! My family loves DH and his family loves me. Makes a huge difference in your marriage too when you don't have all that fighting

Trish- right.... 6 weeks afterward It's gonna be hard. You are dialated to 3 CM's? Holy lord! I'd be scared to stand up! LOL. Good luck!

Tracy: Good to see you - I have to agree the whole casteroil, walking, sex thing just doesn't sound too appealing in that order Hope things start moving along for you with the membrane stripping.

Trish: Bedrest is NOT fun, NOT relaxing, and is just a pain in the behind... but you have to do, what you have to do I love dr appts as well - FREEDOM LOL. As for sex I would avoid it to at least wk 36/36.5, that is when I was released from br with PTL and told to resume normal activities and I assume sex is considered a normal activity LOL. Glad to know you are in good spirits!!! Definitely pack that bag! Oh and about the bf and lamaze classes - you might want to check with your hospital and see if they have "mobile" classes. My dr asked me last time if I was interested in any of the classes b/c they do have trainers that will come to bedrest bound mothers.... might be something to look into - I also know that my insurance covered a portion of mine, check on that too

Lauren: Sorry to hear those contractions eased up - but at least they were helpful! Just a few more days

Wendy: Hi! Have a nice lunch with your SIL!

Not much going on here..... actually nothing going on here and you know what - THAT IS FINE WITH ME

Hi guys! Well, I had the tingly/fluttery feeling 2 more times last night and once this morning. I think that I'm feeling baby, but I just have no idea what I'm feeling for! LOL!!

I'm having a blah day today. One of those can't get motivated kind of days... so... I stayed home. I just didn't want to go to work. I'm so bad!!

Cyn, Tracy, Lauren: Here's BIG LABOR vibes for you!!! I'm so excited!!!!!

Hey Angela! I am about to leave and go home and do nothing as well! I am so glad to be on half days now!

Those of you getting close, do you find that you walk around in a cloud all the time with a zillion thoughts of "baby" running through your heads? I eat, sleep, talk, walk and breath baby. Sheesh. I feel like I am in a fog. Last weekend I opened all her bottles, washed her onesies and sleepers, put a clean sheet in the crib, vacuumed and dusted her room, etc.

I even dream about her all night

I ditto the labor vibes to Cyn, Tracy, and Lauren... you guys better get cracking otherwise we might not have any May babies!

Angela: That is kinda neat about the "mobile" classes. I'll deffinately try to remember to ask my doctor about it this afternoon. I now understand what you mean when you are happy for uneventful days. I pray each day for another uneventful day so lil' Brad will have another day to grow.

Kristen: Sorry you are tired! I hope you get some pep soon!

Sarah: You're allowed to have those days! I know I have... take care and get rested, hopefully tomorrow will be better.

gotta run... catch up more later!

Sarah: Sounds like your little tatertot is REALLY active!!! I always thought the first movements felt like marbles rolling around - anyway its EXCITING!! Have fun playing hookie today

Kristin: OH I HATE those kind of nights I can't sleep!!! Mike had one last night and kept trying to talk to me - I vaguely remember it but I somehow kept snoozing through his chatter LOL.... hope you get some rest tonight!

Trish: Yes only BORING UNEVENTFUL days for us You will feel like you are going stir crazy but at least you have some work to keep you occupied AND someone over the age of 4 to keep you company Imagine being here..... 2 toddlers under 4 yrs old, its enough to make anyone go screaming from the house sometimes I look at it as the ULTIMATE mommy homeschooling test - if I can stay cooped up in the house until 36wks with my 2 girls and have my mental stability remain intact, homeschooling should be a breeze. I just don't know if I will be mentally stable after this LOL hopefully the girls won't be too damaged as well!

Good afternoon ladies....

Well here is my update from the doctor.. I am dialated 3 cm but my cervix is only 50% effaced...I have been taking the EPO so if it is soft enough I have an induction date of June 1 if I don't have her myself by then. My doc wants to wait for the cervix to get softer so it will be a much easier induction. The doc can could feel her head so my DH asked the doc if his "thing" hits her head while we are having sex....I COULD HAVE KILLED HIM...

She just laughed....Oh my doc gets a kick out of my DH and in fact if he happens to miss an appt. she always ask about him. He always seems to ask her the craziest questions....

Tracy- I"m like you...I eat, sleep and breathe baby. I'm sure it drives my husband nuts. I hope you are having some progression with the the EPO and tea.

Lauren- I hope your appt goes good today...Please let us know!!!!! I'm praying for some progression for you.

Angel- I can't imagine how you do it w/ your other toddlers there. SUPERWOMEN....Once our two sons come home from school it's a mad house...so much to do.....

Sarah- you are having an active child...I'm betting on a boy...

Kristen- Hello....You will feel it soon enough.

Trish-I'm so thrilled you checked in...I've been praying and thinking about you. I even had my pastor praying for you when he was over this morning. I always have him pray for the ladies on this board....

Wendy- Yes it is so nice to get along w/ the inlaws...I feel so blessed too. My MIL is the greatest...and DH thinks the same about my mom....it's great to have family support.

Fluff- Oh Toledo is about 3 hours from where I live. I'm glad you had a fun, safe trip...

Well ladies...till later

God bless you all..

Cynthia

Just popping in to check on you ladies!

SARAH: How exciting that you might be feeling the baby move. I was a late feeler, I felt little tingles around 17 weeks but my first real jabs around 24 weeks! It was awesome! I'm still just soooooo darn happy that you're expecting. Do you have a date set up for an ultrasound to find out the sex? I found out at 17.5 weeks, so you're getting close.

TRACY I did the EPO and Rasberry tea leaf for the last 4 or 5 weeks and I don't think it did a darn thing, I was still a week late having her. Your brave if you do the Castor Oil, I was too chicken. I just couldn't imagine being 9 mos. preggo with tummy troubles. I hope it works out for you. Sex, well it wasn't enjoyable but we did do it. ack.

Here is Cassidy and I last weekend, she wore her bikini when we went out to Mikes parents to go boating.

Hello Pretty Ladies!

I am cracking up at the beginning of this thread listening to the ladies who are close to delivering. I have so much to learn so I can speak your language when my time comes! I'm such an amatuer! Good luck to all the ladies in waiting. How very exciting!

Mrs Sarah: Congrats on the flutters! How exciting!

How long does it take before people can feel the baby moving from the outside? I can't wait for DH to feel the baby. Heck - I can't wait for me to FEEL it! Seems like such a long road ahead. Hope it flies by!!

Lowcarbinmam: Great picture!
