Happy Monday!!!!!

Hey ya'll!! I'm about ready to get ready for work but was downstairs taking care of the puppy. I'm not looking forward to leaving her for the day, but I'm sure she'll be alright. I might come home at lunch today to check on her - I swear, it's like she's my new baby, haha!! Even Dean was talking to his buddy on the phone last night and said, "Awwwww, the baby is suckling in her sleep!" His friend was like, "Don't you mean the dog??" Haha!!

I tell ya, we're doomed when the REAL new baby comes!!! Just 4 mos. away now...

Morning everyone!

Stacy- We must be on the same doc schedule now..I go today too! and I dread the scale after the superbowl and my baby shower this weekend...

Lauren- Love the dog pic!!! Pugs are the cutest!!! Was Mac totally thrilled??!!

Jenn- You are doing so good on your weight!!! I know you are pleased!!

My baby shower was so much fun!!! I had the best time. I got lots of great stuff--nothing major from my registry but some really cute things!! My DH and I put it all away in the nursery and made our list of what we need to buy still.....mainly a pack n play, baby bjorn and some kind of diaper pail thingy........and of course more onsies, socks, etc.........My mom and I are going shopping today to knock some of it out.

I am having some pain in my pubic bone area/ crotch aches...My book says it is just from the pelvis bones loosening perparing for labor Anyway, it is not feeling too good when I walk/stand.

Morning Sheree!! Glad you are feeling better!!!

Off to the shower--
Laura

LAURA: I'm experiencing the same feelings, I keep whining to Mike that I have an "achey vagina" LOL. It really does start to hurt all the pressure down there. Not much longer. Our days sound pretty similar, I'm going to the Dr. at 10:00 and then shopping with my mom to pick up the travel system, boppy and a few other little things (I need baby socks too!).

LAUREN: Hope the day goes okay (puppywise).

LOOPER & LOWCARBINMAMA: I've got the same achiness down there except it's also my inner thigh area as well. I got this maternity belt at Motherhood Maternity on Saturday and I've been wearing it and WOW it really does help. Holds the gut up and all that, supports the back, take some of the pressure off. It was well worth the $15, even for just a few more weeks.

PFGAL: That dog is sooooo cute and you know what? Mac looks a LOT like you. Big resemblance!

Thanks! She used to look so much like Tim at birth, but as she has grown people say she looks more and more like me! Tim has a new daughter who will be 1 in March, and she is his spitting image!!!! Much more than Mackenzie ever was!

Lauren- Your little girl is adorable!

Tiger- My girlfriend gave me one of those to borrow--I thought it was for lower back pain which I don't have (not yet anyway! )
I may have to try it out now if it may help that other ache...Thanks!

How do you know what size nursing bra to buy???? Won't my boobs get bigger when my milk comes in??? Should I buy that closer to my due date???????

Morning Guys,

Even though I was really scared, I weighed this morning and haven't gained a pound since my doc's appt. 2 weeks ago! I'm so psyched. I've been kinda bad with my carb levels and assumed I had already gained 100 lbs. Phew!

I'm so impatient to get past 12 weeks AND to start showing a little, at least where I can feel it poking out. I guess that happens at around 11 weeks?

PfGal--Your daughter is such a cutie patootie! And that little puppy...I wouldn't want to leave it alone either.

Looper--Glad you got good stuff at your shower. It's always fun to see the cute little things people pick out.

ms. tiger--I'll remember that belt for when I'm further along. I saw one of those in a pregnancy magazine and they're funny looking but effective, it sounds like.

Hi to everyone else...gotta go to work.

Start Date: Who the heck knows...
LAURA - Ya know? I dunno about the boobs getting bigger then. I really didn't produce much of anything when I had Allison, so I didn't ever get bigger. Hopefully, it'll be different this time around.

STACY - Find comfort in the fact that this means little Cass is almost here. (I know it's still a pain... Literally... But still... )

LAUREN - Mack and the puppy are both too cute! Have you figured out a name yet?

SHEREE - So glad to hear you're feeling better!!!

Little Anna’s been doing some new tricks lately… It feels so weird, but she’ll almost get into a little knot (or so it feels), and I have this one little hard spot. It’s funny, because I’ll rub that area, and I can feel her stretch. Allison never did this, so it’s still new to me. Apparently, Hank did that when my MIL was pregnant with him though… So, she’s already taking after her daddy.

I’ve also started feeling nauseous more. My midwife told me that I need to try eating RIGHT when I get up in the morning, instead of waiting until I get to work. Easier said than done, but I sure will try. I think I hate nausea more than I hate pain…

Everything else is great though… Cleaned the house Sunday. (Looks like that’s my big Sunday activity these days) Money’s getting better, so that’s good! WHEW!

Same here!! Mac picked up breastfeeding like a champ, but I just didn't produce enough at all. I even tried pumping inbetween, and nothing worked. Hopefully it'll be better this time, and I'm also going to try to drink a lot more water!

We chose Tallulah - and will call her Tally for short!! We liked Sadie, but Dean wasn't as crazy about it, and neither was Granny (mom Mom, hehe).

Hiya Ladies,

I'm getting into work late because I had a doc apt. this morning. All went well. The only glitch was the doc was stuck at the hospital and I had to wait about 45 minutes. Oh well! It was fun hearing the babies heart beat

Well... I reported this weekend that I had two good days (Friday and Saturday) with no sickness. It was back on Sunday full force! I've been pretty nauseated all morning too. I figure if I have 2 days with no sickness a week thats alot to be thankful for!

I PIGGED OUT on Friday and Saturday when I felt so good. It showed on the scales this morning too. Before I left the house I stepped on my scales and about fell over I couldn't believe how much I gained. I was up 4 pounds at the doc office since my last visit so thats a grand total of 5 pounds so far. I'm guessing thats probably pretty good for 18 weeks.

Laura: FUN a baby shower. It sounds like you had a blast. Have fun picking up the rest of your stuff. I can't wait for my shower.

Lauren: Adorable dog!!! I love puppies

Trolly: It is fun to kinda start poking out. I actually REALLy just started poking on this past week. Wednesday morning I woke up and was looking down and wondered "Where did THAT come from?" It was so funny. I could tell I was a lil bigger because of my jeans being too tight around 12 weeks, but now I can SEE I'm bigger.

Jennifer: You have an acrobat for a baby huh?! You'll have to get her in gymnastics. lol

Babyblue: Good weekend here! Its COLD I think teens or low 20's here. I wonder if there is snow in our forcast... I guess we'll see

Sarah: It sounds like its a good thing you are back on track with your cycle. Hopefully now you can get started on the baby making process again!

Hi All-

Greeting from the great white north. We were snowed in Thurs through Sunday. In 3 days we got 4 feet of snow! Just a little south of us they got 7 feet! Driving to work is like traveling in a canyon - you cannot see over the snow banks on either side.

I'm eating really badly and it shows - as of this morning I have gained 20 pounds. / It's like I have no control - I can low carb it totally - but if I add enough to be out of ketosis its all I want and I have WICKED cravings. I was justifying it for the morning sickness, but I am way past that with no excuses... Sigh. I suspect my OB will have "the talk" with me at my appointment in Thursday....

Be well all!

Hi guys,

Well, I too fell victim to the shower/superbowl festivities combo and ended up with a major carbover today. I'm going to the gym to try to work through it. I havent had one of these episodes since pre-pg. Yuck. Anyway, at least the baby got some extra calories!

I'm curious about you guys who said you didn't produce much milk. Were you lc'ing at the time? I know plenty of people say it shouldn't affect your supply, but I'm still nervous about it. I don't see any signs of anything happening in that area. In fact, I feel like I've gotten smaller.

So, who caught Janet Jackson's halftime flash? How embarrassing. What was Justin Timberlake supposed to be doing anyway? He reached right across and tore off the part that covered her!

re: BREASTFEEDING: My chest did get bigger the first time around during pregnancy but I didn't have any milk until after the baby came. Although if I squeezed toward the end I could get colostrum (yellowish thick drops) The second and third times I haven't noticed my chest getting much bigger and again no milk, but still colostrum. The real milk doesn't come in until the 3rd or 4th day after birth.

You know the first time I didn't think I produced enough milk either so I gave up after a few weeks. The 2nd time I was nervous as hell, I mean if she cried after feedings I would assume she was starving to death and cram formula into her but she never drank much, in fact she would make a horrible face. Who could blame her? I tasted formula and then breast milk to compare and the latter was MUCH BETTER! I never got much pumping either and when I squeezed my nipples to see, it would squirt out yes, but I never leaked or had tons of milk. And yet by 3 months it was obvious it was working. She weighed over 15 lbs and was chunky as can be - solely on mother's milk. It's hard to imagine all that milk coming out of you when you can't actually "see" it like you can in a bottle but the majority of women unless they've had surgery on their breasts can BF successfully (if they choose to)

Sara: The weight gain is depressing, isn't it? I'm hoping to keep it under 30 but I'm having another little spurt of weight gain. Thank God I'm almost done. I don't gain anything for a week then in one day I'll gain two pounds. I HATE it.

Looper: Give that belt a try. It looks silly, like a weightlifter's belt or something...but who cares. You can't see it under the clothes and it really does help. I thought they were just for back pain too but they are like a sling for your belly and it supports the baby's head. It felt sooooo good when I put it on. I don't wear it all the time or at night but at least 8 hrs of the day.

Trolly: Don't worry, you WILL start showing. If this is your first it will be later on but it will come. You will be eating those words a few months from now, lol.

This was my experience my 1st pregancy also. I didn't even get sore when I stopped trying to breastfeed. I am going to try agian with this child, hopefully it will work out. My breast look and feel huge and I am only 6 weeks along! I wasn't low carbing.
