Good morning!!
Wow I'm #2 thats a first, I have got to stop getting up so early. Well I think I finally took care of those nasty burps for a few hours last night. I ate a bunch of Tum's followed by a big swig of Pepto and washed it back with a glass of milk. Seemed to work for the most part. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Mrs; Sarah Wishing you tons of luck!!
HAve A GOOD ONE ALL!!!

good morning ladies!

Feeling so much better!

I am discovering, that if I eat raw foods, ie.. fruit, tomatoes, pickles.. My energy levels go way up.

I eat meats of any kind, it levers me into a coma.

The anti puking pill is a must!

I am off bedrest and the dr is seeing me tuesday. I still have been taking it easier then what I probably should, but I am sleeping when my body says sleep. lol.. I have no choice!

I have been interestingly watching all the choices you gals pic for nursery themes, everything is so pretty. I tend to lean more towards bright bold colors insteads of pastels. I lovelove the ladybug theme!
Since my father in law sells beddings as a living I shall have to look at what his companies offfer. Maybe I will even get it at cost?

Have a wonderful day gals

Good Morning!!!

Red- Glad you are feeling better!!! That would be nice to get your nursery bedding at cost--especially buying double everything !!!

KitMat- Glad your feeling better too!

Morning Lauren!!

I heard Target is having a big clearance sale on baby stuff--onsies, blankets, etc. I may have to go over there today to check it out!! This not working thing is expensive--I keep finding a need to shop!!! I have to stop!!!

SARAH!!!!! We are waiting!!!

Good Morning!

LAUREN: I think I might try a DIFFERNT Motherhood store (give them one more chance). I just know I HATE the flare legged pants on me, with my hips and soon to be tummy I would look ridiculous. My clothing tastes run more towards the traditional/classic. When not pregnant I usually wear Liz Claiborne, Talbots, INC - maybe I should get used to being "trendy" and step out of my comfort zone LOL.

CHRIS: Very happy to hear you are doing better! At least those are HEALTHY foods you are eating I have this thing for fruit right now too... mainly peaches.

KIT: YEA on the burps subsiding!!!! I really need to buy a huge bottle of TUMS - you just NEVER know when you might need those things!!! and I always have to take a handful for them to work At least you got some sleep!!!

LAURA: Sale.... did you say SALE??? I like Target, I will have to go there today I am the same way about shopping, then when I can't go OUT shopping - theres the internet shopping and EBay LOL my dh just shakes his head. I am a sucker for SALES!!! I don't look at it like I am spending money, I see it as I am SAVING money LOL Went shopping for maternity clothes yesterday and came home with a cute whimsy hand painted 2-tiered table to go in my girls' room, I couldn't resist it was 1/2 off!!!!

Hope everyone has a GREAT FRIDAY!!!!

I decided to take another test this morning. STILL NEGATIVE!!! WTH?! I bought a 2 pack, so I'll test again either Monday or Tuesday morning. I'm calling my doctor Monday or Tuesday and going in.

Something just isn't right...

ANGEL: To answer your question from yesterday, we didn't play games at my shower, but we did have prizes. We did things like if you had a sticker on the bottom of your plate or cup you won a prize. Everyone that was at my shower would rather chat & eat than play games. LOL.
I wear a lot of INC when I'm not pregnant too, it's one of my fav brands. Oooohhhh, I can't wait to shop again! Did you check out the maternity at Target? I've found some cute things there but most of my stuff has come from Motherhood, Old Navy or BabyStyle.com.

SARAH: OMG how frustrating for you, I still think no TOM is a good sign though, hopefully your Dr. will see you early next week. I'll say an extra prayer that TOM stays away over the weekend.

I ordered the cutest shirt to wear home from the hopital, hang on and I'll go upload a pic.

WoooHoooo TGIF!! BRB.

Thanks you guys!! I know I shouldn't stress, but I'm having my own little pity party - why does this have to be so hard for me??!! I will definitely see the doc next week if nothing happens. I still have another test, so I'll test again either Monday or Tuesday morning.

STACY: Your little niece is SOOOO cute!!! What a doll!!

Sarah: I think you got deffective tests!!! Take them back and tell them they didn't work right!

Stacy: What a cute baby Simply adorable!

Red: Thats awesome that you could get a discount on bedding. Hopefully your father in law will have something you love! I'm glad you are starting to feel better... wish the food I was eating was as healthy as what you are eating!

Angel: My personal opinion on games at showers... usually they are pretty cheezy and I'd prefer to eat and talk! Every once in a while someone will come up with a fun game though.

Kit: Ick! Tums and Pepto... sounds like a nasty mix, but I'm glad it worked for ya

Ooohhhh... clearance at Target. I'm going to hit that store tomorrow after work (Yes! I have to work tomorrow its my own fault for scheduling myself to train a group tomorrow).

STACY: Thanks for the info on the shower. Thats pretty much what I have planned, to give out "door" prizes. I am making these cute little pea pods out of felt and putting 3 little pompoms inside, whoever gets a color other than green wins! But wins WHAT? LOL That part I am up in the air on. I am thinking about the floral centerpieces... Also - CUTE CUTE shirt, and your niece looks like a little baby-doll!!! She looks really alert for 2 weeks!!!

TRISH: I HATE cheezy too LOL Definitely going to stick to the door prizes, FOOD, and chat Sorry you have to work tomorrow (remember NOT to schedule yourself again LOL)

God I feel sooo huge. My husband said I look "way bigger" than I did last time. Thanks honey! Haven't gained an outrageous amount I'm just carrying this one LOW for some reason. Both my girls were high. This baby boy is low, right on my bladder and causes me to pee every half hour and duck waddle my way around. It's hilarious. I am definitely not making it to 40 weeks this time either!

As far as weight I was doing good. For example I didn't gain an ounce for an entire week. Then gained 1 lb in a day, 2 lbs the next day!! WTH is up with that? I am hoping at least 1 of the pounds will drop off before I change my stats. So I am somewhere between 23-25 lbs gained so far and today I turn 33 weeks. I guess that's not horrible but more than I had hoped for. This weight gain thing is so depressing when you are still trying to low carb (at least MOST of the time)!

Sarah: GOOD LUCK! So you got a negative but you still don't have TOM either! And you are really, really late now! I am so excited for you! See that doctor and get a blood test on Mon or Tues!

Tigerlily

Kitimat!!! Don't take Pepto! It's a salicyate (sp) related to aspirin and is considered a bad idea during pregnancy. I don't think one dose is too bad, but you should really check with your practioner.

What you might want to do is go on one of the anti-heartburn "medications like Prilosec (it's no longer prescription..., but it might be cheaper if you're doc can give you one). Most of the OTC ones are considered safe (like Tagamet), but Prilosec seems to work the best and last all day everyday.

I never had any issues like this before pregnancy, but they discovered instead of experiencing normal heartburn, I was actually aspirating tiny food particles into my lungs and giving myself chronic bronchitis!!But the Prilosec put a stop to all of it... it really seems to work and I've been taking it everyday for months. My midwife is fine with it.

Either way, look into this, it should help you, and if not, def. get a clear signal on the Pepto....

Here's a link:

warning about pepto

"Pepto- Bismol contains salicylate (similar to that found in aspirin), which may cause bleeding in mother and/or baby;"

Here's the green light on the anti-heartburn stuff

Weight gain o' rama...

mstigerlily. I can totally related. Except at my last appt, it looked I had gained about 25-27 pounds and now suddenly I've shot up to 30 and doesn't look like I'm budging. (I'm 32 weeks tomorrow)

Ack! When will this madness end? (My own internal I'm huge-o-meter is keep an eye on my bellybutton. It keeps trying to pop out and I keep pushing it back in... I refuse to let it turn inside out! Insane, yet somehow I'm trying to keep it in like drawing a line in the sane. Nevermind, pregnant women are crazy, I think. Or at least I am.)

I have no idea if I'll be short or long, either. Did you say your first baby was early, too? I guess I keep hearing first babies go long so I keep expecting to be 42 weeks pregnant... Argh!

38 weeks would be just fine with me!

In fact, Feb 29 would make a great birthday...

What was that stuff you were taking and when did you start taking it that seemed to precipitate your labor?

Let me in!!!

Hi Ladies,

Please sign me up! Due date Sept 16, 2004. Can you please tell me what you are eating these days? I am really at a loss as to how many carbs to add. All my baby books say that I should be eating huge amounts of carbs but I don't want to gain huge amounts of weight!

Mrs Sarah...I can't believe you still haven't tested positive or started TOM!!! Will keep praying for a positive blood test.

Stacey... that baby is too cute.

Red...where I live the babies all sleep in hammocks. My DS started sleeping in a hammock when he was about 6 weeks old. I'll see if I can dig up a photo. The neat thing about the hammock is that there is no way they can suffocate, even if they sleep face down (which is DS's favorite position now at 22 months). So for #2, all I need to do is pick out a new hammock.

Thininmex - I'd LOVE to see a photo of the hammocks. I'm curious to see how that works and the style of the hammock.

Also - I checked out your before and after pics and they're GREAT!!
