I'm doing okay, thanks for asking about me Tracy!
I'm still getting over being sick but thankfully the worst is over. I have a nagging cough but compared to what I felt like before, this is nothing!!I'll get back on here later. Gotta go watch "The OC" (my guilty pleasure ). |

Summer and the OC
Heidi! the OC is my guilty pleasure, too! Only I missed it last night for the first time. Can you fill me in?
As for Summer, I've been wondering about her a lot. The only thing I can guess is that she's just been overwhelmed with her new baby, but still she shouldn't keep us all hanging like this, ya know? LOL, I mean we're a bunch of pregnany women! We worry! I'm glad you're feeling better, I think I'm starting to show signs of the bronchitis that nearly killed me in the middle trimester, but I'm praying I can overcome it. And I'm so happy for LessCarbsMoreMe!!! WOOHOO!!!! Ultrasounds really can produce the wrong impression sometimes (especially in incompetent hands, it sounds like!) and I know I would have been worried sick. In the US, they don' t usually let the technicians "diagnose" the U/S for medical issues and a practioner will automatically order a 2nd one or a higher level one if they suspect something is wrong before telling the parent's "something's probably wrong." Notice, I said usually... I'm sure someone's here has had a similiar experience to LessCarbs. Mrs. Sarah.... Augh... TEST!!!!! TEST!!!! Evenn my DH can't take the suspense anymore. You're like your own reality internet show. (I'm just teasing you and letting you know I'm thinking of you. You do what you need to do when your ready.)Everyone else! Hello and good morning and stuff.

Hi All-
I started my new job. It will be MUCH easier than the last one. I may be able to pop online here and there. Last night I was walking in the store and it felt like she was going to fall out - lots of pressure on my low abdomen and cervical area. It feels like she's standing on my bladder. I dont think its an infection b/c my pee is pale, no burning and normal odor (sorry if TMI). I dont think its a pulled muscle either. I'm just hoping she moves! Its a littel better today, but still very uncomfortable. Anyone experience this? I want to avoid going to the Dr.s if possible, b/c my new boss is not to keen about all the time I'll be taking due to being pg. It seems that everyone in the hospital knew but him. oops. Any input would be very appreciated. Thanks. Sara

Sarajewel...
this is going to sound really weird, but when baby Olivia is in an uncomfortable place, I try 2 things to move her. One, I'll get on my hands and knees and lift my pelvis/ arch my back as well as moving my hips side to side. You can also try leaning to one side, back and forth, if you have a chair or something nearby to prop yourself on while you're leaning. Also, trying going down head to hands in the front and sticking your butt up in the air and wiggling it around. Sometimes, though, standing up doing hip rotations and other belly dance like movements hip swivels can be enough, but since gravity is a factor for you, I'd try the hands and knees, first. Good luck ![]() Last edited by 3Diva : 01-15-2004 at 05:36 AM. |

Hey lady-bugs!!! I hope all is well!! We've been compiling a long list of baby girl names, and there are several that I like. My Mom is in on it, too, and driving my Dad crazy!!! My Mom likes wackier names, so we have to shoot her down quite a bit, haha!! Here is our long list...but remember that some are not even 1st name options - just names that we liked that we thought may work for middle names. Paige is one of those...we don't want it for a first name, but are leaving it on the list as a possible middle name. I LOVE Cassidy, but Dean isn't in love with it.
Never know, though, there's still time to discuss and convince, hehehehe!Paige Lacey Lindsay Cassidy Sydney Carly Scarlett Elizabeth (my middle name) Olivia Quinn Charlotte Ellie Camryn Layne Riley Talia Reese |

G'Mornin!
I slept like poop but for some reason, I'm feeling pretty good today. Kayla was up at 5am. She's been doing this the past few days. No nap during the day and then she crashes at 7:30pm or 8pm. It's kinda nice that she goes to sleep so early but then she gets up super early! Wednesday morning she was up at 4:30am and there was no getting her back to sleep. Oy! 3Diva - I LOVE THE OC! Maybe because it takes place in the city right next to where I live but I just love it. DH actually is more into it than I am too! It's pretty funny. Anyway ... basically, the gang was all invited to Palm Springs by Oliver who supposedly made up with his "girlfriend". Then at the last minute, he broke up with his "girlfriend" again. What girlfriend?!? It's all a bunch of bunk. Anyway ... Marissa rides up with Oliver and ticks Ryan off. She wanted to comfort him since he and his "girlfriend" broke up. Once they get there, they all go golfing and Oliver tries to run Ryan and Luke off the road in a golfcart race. What a punk!! Summer is annoying like always and keeps interfering with Seth and Anna's relationship by jumping in wherever she can and interrupting their couple time. Oliver and Ryan have a talk and Oliver flips out and leaves, heading back to Newport. Then he calls and pretends to have od'd and gets the gang to come back to his rescue. Of course when they get there, he's fine because he somehow got it all out of his system himself. LIAR! Marissa spends the night with him because he "needs" her and Ryan is pissed. Luke hits on Summer and she tells him "not a chance". Oh, and Caleb cuts off Haley's funds and she leaves town upset at Kirsten for talking with him about it. Sandy and Jimmy talk about going into the restaurant business together over dinner while they've been drinking. I think that's about it. Next week they showed that Oliver enrolled in their school! WHAT A PSYCHO!!Sara - I get that pressure all the time and it's sooooo uncomfortable! It sounds like she just needs to move. I usually just have to hold my belly when I'm out in public but when I'm home, changing positions or going on my hands and knees relieves some of the pressure. Glad to hear your new job is going well! Kit - We're almost there!! Sorry about the burping. I find that taking some TUMS helps me. Have you tried that?Hi everyone else!! Lauren - Great list! I love the name Quinn but DH and I know one that we weren't very fond of and it ruined it for us. I think Cassidy Paige sounds really pretty. Not too fond of Scarlett though but that's just me. I like Camryn too. I can't wait for this little dude to come out either! I hope he looks like me. Kayla looks so much like her daddy so it'd be nice to have one look like me but somehow I doubt he will. He did in my dreams though so just maybe!!Gonna do some more cleaning today. Our landlords are coming on Saturday to check out some stuff and to probably talk about our next contract. We were up in November but they never said anything about it so neither did we. I'm really hoping they don't raise our rent. We've been excellent tenants so I don't believe they have any reason too other than to keep up with everyone else. We have a really good deal here and I'm a bit scared because we really can't afford a bump at the moment. I hope they have some sympathy for us with the new baby coming and leave things as they are. ![]() My little lady wants to play so I better go. |

Morning Guys,
Well, I finally made myself weigh and I've gained 6 lbs. since finding out I'm pg. Partially from going off of low-carb and the rest is bloat, I'm sure. Evan though it's slightly alarming, I feel better knowing the truth, rather than avoiding the scale. I'm going to use some of the recommendations everyone gave yesterday about lower-carb snacking and meals because it's too soon to gain that much! Heidi--Glad you're feeling better. 4:30?? Yikes! Hi 3diva and kit Sara--So if you follow 3diva's advice, you should videotape yourself. I cracked up imagining a pregnant woman doing hula. Pfgal--I've been thinking about the name Lindsay too. I love it. I like Riley and Charlotte too. Charlotte because it sounds like a storybook name. My first choice (not on the list) would've been Madeline but a close friend's daughter is named Madeline, so... Angel--THanks for the advice yesterday. The stress (over weight) really is taking some of the enjoyment out of this for me, so I'm going to try, try, try not to focus on it so much. Last edited by trolly : 01-15-2004 at 07:37 AM. |

Sarajewel, I get that "baby is falling out" feeling ALL the time, and even more with my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies. I used to think I must be dilating early or something, but obviously not.
Sometimes when I am walking around or standing I literally feel like the baby is going to fall out, and it feels yukky and sore. Usually sitting down helps I think it is the pelvic floor muscles stretching and growing, but I could be wrong. I just know it is pretty normal because I have had it all three times now and I have heard other pregos talk about it. I can't believe how much this little one is moving around! It is starting to get strong enough to shock me a little bit when I am sitting. I feel it when I am standing or walking but very faintly. I think where your placenta is will affect how well you can feel baby at this stage. If your placenta is anterior it can muffle the sensations until further along. Any news from Mrs. Sarah? Talk to you all later!

Still no TOM here... though I realized that I was a little off in my calculation. I started my TOM last month on 12/4 ( I was thinking 12/2). So, I'm still VERY late, just not as late as I though. LOL. I'm going to get a HPT and do it Monday morning. I can't wait!!! ![]() |

Sarajewel: I don't know if you remember but I visited labor & delivery thinking I was going into labor at the same place you are - 22 weeks because I had a similar feeling. It was cervical pressure, I felt "wet" down there and like I had to pee constantly. I felt the need to keep SQUEEZING down there, would actually get sore after awhile because I was always squeezing because I felt the baby was "falling out".
The dr. checked me said cervix was high and tight and that cervical pressure was normal at this stage. The wetness was just a little urine from getting kicked in the bladder. This seems to be the stage where they are just like DANCING on your bladder. Later it's just the head sitting on the bladder but that's not quite as bad. At your point in pregnancy I felt like I was constantly getting little jabs in the bladder from tiny hands and feet and it drove me nuts. PFGal, Of course my daughter's name is Charlotte so I am partial to it. It's a great name, really fits her. I don't know anyone else named Charlotte so it's perfect. I also like Lacey, Paige, Carly, Elizabeth, Ellie. Do not like Sydney, Quinn (for a girl), Camryn (spelling or for a girl), Layne, Riley (for a girl) or Reece. I am neutral on all the rest of the names. Good luck choosing. If I were having more girls they would be named Sophie, Madeline and Lily. Tigerlily

Hi all!
Just saying hi real quick because I don't have alot of time at work right now. My DH played Mr. Fix it last night and fixed our heater. Its a good thing too since the high today is supposed to be 10 degrees! We got dumped on yesterday with lots of snow. My boss sent all of us home at 12:30 because the roads were so bad and he didn't want us driving late. I'm still feeling sick! YUCK! I was hoping it would all be gone by now, but no such luck. I'm still throwing up about once a day . Oh well! Its better than it was at least.YIKES! I didn't realize that your baby would feel like it was falling out once you get farther along. Thats got to be a weird feeling. Lauren: Elizabeth and Charlotte are my favorites on that list! Mrs. Sarah: I'm counting the days till Monday! I hope we can know by then at least!!! Hi to everyone else. Sorry I don't have time for more personal responses ![]() Trisha

hey ladies!
Crawling out from under my rock to check in. I am less tired and sometimes it even feels like I can do more then lay either in the bed or on the couch. Yesterday I made cream of broc soup. my DH was soooo excited. After making it though I could not eat it Fruit seems to be the prefrence right now. I tried yougurt, but hey once you puke it up, it all tastes like sour milk to me. Doc did give me a script for an anti puking pill. I took it yesterday and today, both days were vomit free..yeah! I am glad to see everyone, talk laters ![]()

Lauren: Great site! I had only looked a couple of places online and they didn't have much variety. This one looks really good.
Redjewel: I'm glad you are starting to feel better. Lets hope this is a trend . I think I need some of those anti-puking pills too! |
