Morning everyone!
I'm on day 2 of my new 3 day work week and it's so exciting to think tomorrow is "Friday" already!
I actually cooked Lemon-BBQ chicken with cauliflower rice and creamed spinach for dinner last night and made a low carb pumpkin custard. This is significant as up to now, I'd been pretty much cooking or eating whatever I could find, I was so harried. I wish I had been working less during the harder stages of this pregnancy, I probably would have gained less and been eating better quality food. I was also overdoing the caffeine a little bit at times when I had those 60 hour weeks, too. ![]() I'm somewhere between 25-30 pounds at 30.5 weeks (my scale is flaky), so it's not too bad, but still! Wonder if misbadu is mombadu yet.... Mrs. Sarah, I'm so double, triple, quadruple crossing my fingers for you. You've been so paitient and I know how badly you want to be a mommy! ((hugs)) and good luck! I feel so much empathy for HeidiM and the rest of you who've been pregnant and ill and taking care of your families. I don't know where you find the strength. Oh, and thanks to everyone who weighed in on the video camera. I went over our budget last night and I think we can squeeze it in. I'm sure there's something else I can cut out that I will miss less than a record of these first precious memories. Have a great day, everybody!

G'morning!!!!!! Not much to report on my end!! I'm actually freaking out that I may not be having a girl at all. I mean, just b/c we didn't see the parts doesn't mean that they aren't there! I don't want to paint and spend a fortune creating a room that could be for the wrong gender!
I have an appt. today and plan to ask if that was my only sonogram. If so, I already scheduled myself for a 4D sonogram on February 6th. They work best from 24-32 weeks, but are super good at 28 weeks. Tough...I'm 24 weeks the week of the 6th and all I want to see is a boy part or a girl part - not much concerned about the rest since I know it's all normal! I might be anal, but I don't care, I want 100% certainty!! My friend's Mom is an ultrasound tech and may see me after hours one day, and if she will I'll cancel the 4D! We'll just have to see! They weren't able to tell with Mac - and I had to suffer the wait...lol!! I won't do it again! ![]() |

Good Morning Gals!
I hope everyone rested well last night. I was in the bed at 7pm and slept until 6:30 am this morning. I am getting so tired all of a sudden again. I even vomited yesterday. Well I hope it was a one day thing because today I feel great again. 3Diva- You will love your decision to purchase a camcorder. I'm am so sure you will treasure every moment of it. Is anyone else videotaping their delivery? Just wondering what your thoughts were on this. Our son's want to be in the delivery room but I think not. Maybe before "the real action...baby coming out" takes place because I think it is too much "exposure." Well another day at work another dollar. I have decided to officially take off from April 28-Sept 28. So that will give me six months. While I'm on maturnity leave I have decided to start REALLY studying to prepare to take the CPA. I am going to take some classes called "Becker classes" that will help you prepare for them. So not only is it a maturnity leave but a leave from work to go to school for a while. LOL...I thought I would sneak school in since I'm going to be off anyways. My boss doesn't need to know all that though. Well ladies God Bless you all ! |

Wow Lauren it seems like we are always posting at the same time. I don't think it is anal...if you want to know you want to know. I was just reading below your post and noticed we both have gained 11 pounds and our 20 weeks pregnant. Did you notice it's 4 women due within 3 days of each other around our EDD and we are all expected to be having girls. That's really wacky.
Oh and to respond to whomever asked the question about how many carbs or what I eat on a daily basis....I just have to say it is sad...because I don't watch anything. The only thing I still do from low carbing is use Splenda. LOL... I'm not much help! Sorry! |

Mrs Sarah, where are you?!?!?! I checked this board as soon as I had the time. I'm keeping my and my cats and my bummy bear's fingers and toes crossed!
3Diva, Lemon BBQ Chicken sounds wonderful! I have crock pot BBQ country ribs cooking right now. I hope I have a taste for it later - I don't like to smell the food I eat now. Lauren - Good luck on your next u/s! Cynthia - How wonderful that you're going to be working on your CPA! I give you credit - with a new born, it would be so hard to concentrate on anything else. Good luck, and I hope your nausea and fatigue won't come back! |

Good Morning!
I've had way too lazy of a morning. I can't believe it is almost 10AM already. I'm the youngest one in the office and the only one without kids yet... so all the ladies here have lots to tell me and we spent all morning yacking away! I gave into my calzone craving last night! The past week I've started to watch more what I was eating since I'm able to keep more food down. I've been craving a calzone for days and we went out and got me one last night. YUM! It was great ![]() 3Diva: I understand what you mean about cookind and eating. Its so hard to go home after working all day (and a 50 minute commute) and feeling so tired and then having to try to think about cooking dinner. I've been spending WAY too much money eating out the past 3 months! Lauren: A 4D ultrasound would be awesome to see! How exciting. Its totaly understandable I think to want to know for sure what you are having. I'm glad it was SO obvious it was a boy on my ultrasound. I HOPE it was anyhow because I already have friends and family that have given me little boy clothes the past few days!Cynthia: No way I'm not video taping my delivery! My mom had hers videoed with my youngest brother (who is currently 13) and I remember seeing her cringe every time she saw it. I never thought it was that great of a thing either really. I do hope we are able to squeeze out the money for a camcorder for after the baby is born tho ![]() Mrs Sarah: Don't keep us waiting too long today for the results!!!

Good morning everyone!
I have 2 hours until I leave for my sonogram! Can't wait. Had trouble sleeping last night because I was so excited. Well... that and the dream I had about my husband telling me he wanted 2 wives I knew if I went back to sleep and back into that dream I would shoot them both. She WAS there. He woke up to me just scouling at him. When he asked what was wrong and I told him, he just busted out laughing. What is the deal with these stupid off the wall dreams?????Lauren- I agree with you, I would want to know for sure too before going all out in pink. How far along were all of you before starting your nursery? Mrs. Sarah?? Any good news??? 3diva- I am hungry after reading your post. That chicken sounds really good. We'll have to have you post the recipe. Ok, hi to all that follow, I will check back in in a couple of hours! Tracy |

Tracy- I have crazy dreams too! I wake up so mad at my husband sometimes bc of what I dreamed. Well did our nursery a little each month...we bought furniture in September, bedding in October, painted in November and in December we bought curtains, the glider and put it all together
We are finished a little early people would say I guess but it is done and I am enjoying getting the little stuff now. Ours is neutral themed though--so it could be for girl or boy. |

I wanted to pose this question again since I only got a couple of responses yesterday....
Do any of you have any workout videos you would suggest using during pregnancy? Or any other at home workout you do? I need to get my butt moving! |

Good Morning Good Morning Good Morning!
Lauren: Good Luck with that 2nd sono ~ I am the same anal way!!!! With Maggie (my 2nd) I must have had 6 sono's for gender determination b/c SHE wasn't cooperative and I was ANAL. LOL I was lucky enough to have a GREAT dr's office to do this for free each extra time! I just HAD to know! So I don't blame you one bit for wanting to be sure... Diva: I just need to swing by your house and eat. I can cook, I just can't eat ANYTHING I cook, or smell.... weird.... my dh is swearing I am making it up so I get out of cooking. Cyn: Happy to hear you are feeling better!! That isn't much of a "leave" when you go to school! LOL I worked as an acct in my previous childless life, but never sat for the CPA - GOOD FOR YOU and GOOD LUCK!!! Tracy: I am excited for you!!! Let us know as soon as you can! Also - DITTO on the weird dreams....my dh doesn't think its so funny anymore when I wake up mad at him because of what he did in my dreams... its getting to be a frequent occurance. Poor guy! Wonder why we have weird dreams??? looper: You are smart to do your nursery early!! Believe me you aren't going to want that over your head in later months You will have to take pics and let us see!!!Speaking of baby rooms - what are everyone's ideas/plans? I left our nursery the same for both my girls, not on purpose but b/c I went into premature labor with my second and was put on bed rest early - bummer. I did it in the John Lennon theme and hand painted a border around the middle of the room and a big mural on one wall. I am sad to see it go, but I am SICK to death of it. I will have to take pics before I paint over it all. This time around I am leaning towards maybe a light blue toile/chenille if its a girl and for a boy a University of Georgia themed room (since we are almuni and huge fans). This is the fun stuff.... can't wait to hear what everyone is doing!! Check back later!

TRISH: I *occasionally* do the the Walk Away The Pounds dvd's, they aren't specifically for pregnant women but it's a very low impact walking routine so I feel comfortable doing it. At the beginning I was doing the 2 & 3 mile workouts but now I just stick to the 1 mile workout and even that gets me winded.
Last weekend it was 65 here so I was able to walk outside, that was nice. Other than that I don't work out and I eat whatever I want. TRACY: OMG I'm with ya on the wacky dreams, I've had some crazy ones. I have all these weird sexual dreams too!! It's almost creepy! Can't wait to hear the results of your US. Morning LAURA!! Our changing table should be delivered today, I'm excited!! ![]()

Looper- that's funny! He told me to stop worrying so much about everything in my pg and I would probably have more peaceful sleep, but I can't help it. Hopefully he isn't afraid to sleep now because of fear I will konk him with a frying pan or something. Poor thing.
As for the nursery, I wanted to start at around 5.5 months. I am supersticious and heard starting before that was bad luck So, I am going to wait another month. As for working out at home- I don't. I have a treadmill I use occasionally but mostly I walk in my neighborhood, bike with my kids and hubby and take 3 jazzercise classes a week. (when I go) which, my new years resolution is to get to every single one! Tracy |

Stacy- Where did you get your changing table from??? In your last belly pic, the bookcase in it looks like Pottery Barn--is it?? I want one like that and I saw in their newest catalog that the smaller version was on sale. I may have to have it!
Tracy- Jazzercise!???? My goodness, you are good! I get winded walking through the super target! Can't wait to hear your sonogram results!! Angel- We did Moon and Stars themed nursery ![]() |

Since I'm due at the end of May I'll probably start the nursery in February and hope to be finished by the end of March. I don't want to wait too long just incase I end up on bed rest or delivery early, etc... Plus, I'm simply excited to start it!

Oh my goodness I just noticed I hadn't updated my weight gain in SO long.
So now I am up 13 pounds. hoping some of that is water from all the bad bad eating lately - we'll see. I seem to blow up a few pounds everytime I am really bad and then it comes off. But this preg I started at 125, and I typically gain 50 pounds so I think I am on track for staying under 35! I always seem to gain alot right at first too. Trish - I bought a pregnancy exercise DVD by Kathy Smith and it is good. I got it on ebay new for a little under 10 dollars I think. The only problem with it is even though it is dated 2002, it is really from about 1986, complete with pastel outfits and cheesy moves and music. I feel embarassed doing it but I think the actual workout is good and very versatile It has a warmup/stretching section, 3 aerobics segments, an upper body and lower body section, and abdominals which I skip. I just started but I usually do the warmup, one of the aerobic segments, then either upper or lower body if I am not too fatigued. It is my daughter's 3rd birthday today! Happy birthday Magdalyn! Talk to y'all later - I'll be checking back for ultrasound results!

Looper- I figure the jazzercise is pretty safe since I was taking the classes before I got pg. No steps or anything and you really feel it the next day. Especially abs! Gonna need those muscles soon!
I read that these strange dreams are just stress, worry and also hormones raging wildly! It's really normal, but I laughed out loud at Angel's post about waking up mad at her husband!! My husband did have that scared, deer in the head lights look this morning! As for our nursery, well, right now it's the exercise room. That never gets used. We are renting and planning to build later in the year, so we aren't going to paint it. We had planned if it's a boy (and it is ) to do everything in teal and white with a car/ truck/ boat/ motorcycle/ plane theme. While still keeping it babyish. We will just have to go look and see whats out there I guess for nursery themes. Here is my crib: http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...ession.new=Yes There is also a matching changing table, glider, rocker etc. We are also considering The Peanuts theme. DH and I loved them growing up! |

Good morning all,
In 2 hours, i am having my u/s!!!!!! I can't wait either... I will keep you all posted... As for the nursery, i have no idea this time. Anthony's room was a fish tank... I painted the ceiling navy blue, and the walls were sea blue... and sponge a bit of lite blue here and there to pretend it was water movement... It was need. I got nice fich, about 25 of them, different colors, different size, here and there on the walls, from the dollar store... And a few sea fish... All furniture, curtains, etc were white and it was very nice. That was the small room. Like i said in another thread (that nobody answered..humm) Rob has a 8 years old daughter with a nice big room. If we are having a girl, i was thinking about puting the baby with Brooke, but if it is a boy, should i put him with Anthony?? and redecorate both rooms (arggg.....) What do you all think?? I should wait a few hours to find out the sex (if we are lucky) and then come back to ask the question again huh?... MrsSarah.... I know you usually don't post first thing in the morning... But where are you? I hope you are on the phone calling everyone right now.... all excited.... Please give us the answer!!!! This is incredible how this board is caring for you and hoping you get pregnant.... Well, i will be aroung again later, i have to get ready and start drinking some water soon if i want to be able to see this little one clearely!! See yall later, Gen |
